Meghan McCain claims the media paints her as a moderate. What media is she talking about? I don't hear anybody in the media talking about her. Perhaps I missed it...

Right wing media covers her.  I don't frequent those sites but on google stories about her pop up almost daily.  And the headlines are always favorable.  And when I say WTF I look to see which site it is and it's always The Blaze or Fox or some other right wing site.

Thank you!  The fear-mongering over vaccinations really scares me.  (I have relatives who are anti-vaxxers, one claims her son is autistic because of shots).  I started getting flu shots several years ago after a few nasty bouts with the flu.  I have never had the flu from shots, & haven't been sick since getting the shots.

Let's face it folks, flu shots and others work differently on different people because we are......different.

I never got the shot for years, and rarely got flu---just sinusitis 2x a year usually from stress/exhaustion.  I got the shot a few times with no ill effects.   I got the flu this year--no shot.  It's all relative (genes) or environment.

Surprised there were no snarky comments today from MM during the segment with the Michigan man brought here as a child who was deported to Mexico ( while his wife & children were on set with the panel) because he was "too old," to qualify for DACA.

My heart broke when that young man broke down crying. So sad.

Yvette Nicole Brown, for the win. Trump wants his wife's imported lol.I needed that laugh after crying for the family.

I love that MM said she could handle the aboration talk  when they  decided to move on. Gee, I wonder why they moved on, idk,   maybe  because you had just  said  you don't like talking about it on TV.

Glad WG set us straight, that she polled the table and they all wanted to move on ...

Mmmkay, doubt it. Poor fragile  Megan.

Believe me, Meghan, nobody is going to confuse a lunatic like you for a moderate, that’s for damn sure. I was ready for Whoopi to tear her to shreds when they came back from commercial after the abortion discussion. In contrast, that discussion is why I like Sunny even if I disagree with her on a personal level regularly. Unlike Meghan, she doesn’t believe in imposing her religion onto other people. Meghan brought up Tomi Lahren being fired for her abortion comments on The View (she had compared abortion rights to gun rights, saying if she wants the federal government out of one she has to be consistent and want them to stay out of the other), but only used it as an example for how much Republicans "care about this issue," not what it really is: an abuse of power to censor a different opinion. I wonder how Meghan would feel if The View fired her for her anti-choice comments today? Since she didn't seem at all bothered that her former employer did such a thing to Tomi Lahren, she couldn't say anything, right?

That interview was intense. Even Whoopi was choked up and usually she’s pretty stoic. Thank God they kicked Meghan out for that otherwise she might’ve interrogated Garcia as if he was a liar like she did Dick Durbin yesterday.

Yes.  I thought Tomi Lahren was fired for basically not being a good little Republican soldier and spouting the party line.  I think Meghan is afraid of the same thing.  Not that ABC will fire her but that that the right wing media will come after her for not following the Republican script.

Whoever had the final say in whether MM would be present during the Garcia segment deserves a pay raise. I agree with you, my mind immediately went to yesterday’s segment and how incredibly rude and condescending she was to Dick Durbin and how she likely would’ve been towards Garcia.

I am glad MM was not present during the sad segment about that family. I burst into tears. I wish Joy had been there. But she heard it.

So the ladies cannot see what the viewers see when they come back from the break bc the reason for the sad music was obvious. ... the dirge . The family was shown hugging and weeping.

Absolutely, I never even heard of a flu shot until I was in my 30's, and even then I thought they were for senior citizens.  Now that I'm in my late fifties, after never having a flu shot, and seriously only getting a cold twice a year like clockwork (Thank you mom and dad for a hearty Irish constitution!), a flu shot is the last thing on my mind.

Now MM is telling Sunny what Sunny believes in.  Good luck with that, Meghan.

No, Sunny agreed with Meghan that abortion was murder. I thought they all handled the subject very well. It was Whoopi that asked the table( as she's done before( if they wanted to continue) and they did not.

What Whoopi said about coat hangers being used, reminded me of my grandmother, who lived near a woman that performed abortions that way.I was far too young to understand, but have always been pro choice.

I thought she was perfectly clear, she's pro life, but understands that this should not be legislated.

This was a pretty good show. I’m not too familiar with Yvette Nicole Brown, so I was pleasantly surprised. I was glad that Meghan was not included in the interview with the family. Sunny and Whoopi handled it very well. I just wondered why they didn’t name the attorney who took their money and incorrectly did the paperwork for the family. I’m not super familiar with the story, but it sounded like they were scammed out of their money.

That poor family. What is the matter with people who want to see Dreamers expelled?  Have they no compassion?  That man was doing nothing wrong, he was hurting no one.  They absolutely did not deserve this treatment. It was heartbreaking seeing that boy cry.  I don't understand how people can be so heartless.

Why haven't their Congressman or Senators helped?

There are a lot of charlatans who will prey on people's desperation about their immigration status.  They will take your money, charging you an exorbitant fee, not do the paperwork correctly and when you try to correct the misinformation, the government will think that you are trying to be shady and dishonest. Sometimes, you can be penalized for it and I suspect that is what happened to this family.  In immigrant communities, we usually try to vet an attorney before, we send somebody to that attorney, to avoid situations like this..

I agree. That should have been part of the story bc many people will be scared to go to an atty and do the right thing for fear of being caught in a trap. They should have given more details so folks could know what NOT to do. I cried with that child.

Meghan was saying that she is pro life, considers it murder, and wishes that abortion was ILLEGAL.

She understands why it is legal but disagrees with it.  That is why she kept saying she is so scared to talk about it, but apparently is incredibly passionate about it.  MM assumed Sunny disagreed with her but what Sunny was trying to say is that she does consider it murder and if the laws were changed to make abortion illegal Sunny would be perfectly fine with that.

This show, this SHOW!!! Gets the not enough blood I have boiling in the first two segments, then ????and had me ???.

I don’t quite know what the correct word to use for Meghan all of a sudden acting like she hasn’t labeled her fuckingassself “As a Republican...As a Conservative...” Since Day One and EVERY.FUCKING.SINGLE.TIME they discuss politics. How she tells us she’s not of the “Breitbart ‘Fake’” Conservatives, blah, blah, blah. And she chose today to say she hates being labeled?!????????

And so she doesn’t think Abortion should be legislated and is okie-dokie with women resorting back to using wire hangers, cleaning liquid mixers, increasing the chances of them dying, then having legal abortions? I’d have asked her what is her plan for all these babies, then? Is she willing to adopt or foster them? I think I know what her response would be: SILENCE, with that expression that looks like she just swallowed a bunch of lemons. So she can just STFU. How does women who want legal abortions affect her way of life?

So glad that she wasn’t included in the interview with the Garcia family. I’m hoping this interview goes so viral that some lawyer from a huge law firm will take up this case Pro Bono and find a way to get Garcia back. I’m cynical enough to know it can be done.

I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Nicole Yvette Brown and ???? when she and Whoopi fist bumped or did that thing with their fingers after she said how 45 loved “to import his wives,” before going to commercial and I really needed that after the heartbreaking segment with the Garcias.

Oh, and Meghan? Next time you try to sound like you’re on the side of wanting a clean DACA bill, try to at least back it up with “knowing” Republicans who are in Congress who actually give a shit. Because saying you “know” a “whole lotta Republicans,” which turned out to be voters doesn’t advance the conversation and that’s what Joy meant and was talking about. She really wanted to drag Joy into a fight today, and was all of a sudden acting all prudish because Joy joked how the Ex-Porn star probably “couldn’t pull out.” She’s perfectly comfortable talking about sex, but all pearl clutching when using words like masturbation and pulling out?! And I ?????? when she tried to dismiss that report by saying it was from a tabloid and not a “reputable newspaper!” That’s really rich, coming from someone who believes all news media is “fake news.” Guuuurl, maybe you need to keep track of your...opinions so you don’t keep contradicting your ass.

I remember Ugly Betty was on in 2005 (!), and they has a few storylines about how Betty's family (who were similar to the Garcias -- children legal, father not) were consistently screwed over by shady immigration lawyers. How sad to see how realistic that was. My heart broke for those kids. I think The View was probably the best forum for them, ABC-wise, as opposed to GMA, but I wish it hadn't been live. Does anyone remember the Oprah episode with the kids named Daisy and Chris where the mom just walked out on them? Chris was 5 and is crying so much that Oprah cradles him. I was watching the Where are They Now and you could tell that at some point they weren't rolling.

I am ardently pro-choice -- and also a gay man who will never have to deal with such issues. Like Joy, I was really interested in what Sunny and Meghan were saying and wanted to get into the nuances of their views. I also liked that Joy and Whoopi are of an older generation and could recall the pre-Roe vs. Wade days. Meghan was on the money in that the ONLY reason that most evangelicals supported Trump is because of the abortion issue (he would appoint a conservative Supreme Court judge, states could continue chipping away at abortion rights with ridiculous laws, etc. -- hi, Candace Cameron, I see you). If only a majority of them would stop kidding themselves and be honest about it. I loved what Yvette had to say ("I would never do it, but I can't tell another woman not to") as my mother has told me the exact same thing.

Because in reality wealthy women always had the option of  abortion - it was called a D&C.  Making it legal was to help middle class and poor women have some control over their own bodies.

Here in Canada, you didn't have to be wealthy ... just go to your Doctor & tell him you weren't in a position to support a child & voila, you're admitted for a D&C.  Safe & quick ... a couple of my friends availed themselves of this "service".

I saw Meghan so very upset about the family and wanted to punch her. You know why? The hardest-working person in the Senate for defending the rights of the Dreamers and DACA is my senator, Dick Durbin. The same guy she spoke to yesterday when she disrespected him, hmphed, slurped, and turned her back. He's a good man, Meghan, and you are a petulant child who won't recognize him for the great public servant he is. That is a really good point.  Meghan can be upset about people dealing with the consequences of the legal issue, but she's rude and condescending to the people who are devoted to the cause.

Because, though she says she's "tired of labels",  when a democrat is on the show, she has to play the "as a conservative republican"  card.   She cannot  see past the political party to figure out whether or not she agrees with his position.  Does she even understand the connection between this particular family, and the fact that the president talks about immigrants from "shithole countries?"

Oh yeah, that's right, Meghan said Durbin is lying about that.

It was not clear to me why Elsa was so bitchy and rude to Durbin.  They don't challenge her or ask her, they just let her be a bitch and it is a mystery to the viewers.  It seemed like they should have had a follow up segment where Whoopi would ask her, what the hell was she so pissed off about.  But no, that wouldn't happen, as she is for some reason protected and treated with kid gloves.

In the US too.  I remember yeeeeears ago, before Roe v Wade, my aunt (wife of doctor, family practice) saying that all a pregnant woman had to do was threaten to hurt herself unless she had an abortion and she'd get it.

Ok, so I'm not a huge Timberlake fan, but MM little snide comments about not needing Timberlake to save  her, she'll buy real country albums.  She is just a mean nasty person. She's just unlikable.  So she was excited about what she thought would be his country album , now she knows his message is to  get woke, so, she dislikes him.  It must be hard to live a life in such a defined box.

And she couldn't even say that Barack Obama was classy. Threw  a fit and dragged  Bill Clinton into it. Grow up.
