That just affirmed what I have always felt he was like behind those closed doors. I have posted that Matt likely has threatened Amber. That is the kind of threat he has likely told Amber many times over and likely one of the big reasons why she stays with him.

I'm usually the first one to roll my eyes when people snark on Cate for her weight but even I was like "damn girl" when she was sitting at the kitchen table with that pink shirt on.  I was glad to see them outside actually doing some physical activity with the chickens.  That girl needs to put down the giant quesadillas and stay outside, getting some exercise.  She's crossing over from "a bigger girl" to "straight up unhealthy."

Lord, do I understand that.  I got a breast reduction when I was 19 and everyone kept asking me how I lost so much weight so quick.  I mean technically I DID lose weight but, you know.  My mom also has giant knockers (thanks genetics) and looks much bigger than she actually is due to her boobs.   Cate should look into a reduction, it would probably give her more confidence and would DEFINITELY make physical activity more comfortable.

Definitely more to the Mamber convo, since she had to tell him she was mic'd up.  Same with Cate.  I felt he was gonna go into more detail, until he found out she had her mic on.  So definitely more than a xanax to me. Also, I hate how Matt is lovey dovey one second, then turns around and threatens to tell what she is really like.  He doesn't love her at all. Urgh. Can he go away yet?

It is a pet peeve of mine, for non working parents to put their kids in daycare. They grow up so fast as it is.  Spend time with them before the HAVE to be in school.

Yup. It's kind of funny in a scary way how Matt is legit Hans from Frozen right now. It's funny because it's all I can think of how he shifts his personality so quickly to get what he wants and then it's scary because this is real life and it shouldn't be happening. And I want to feel for Amber but she makes it so hard to. And I feel like there were warning signs she chose to ignore and now she's way too deep into this thing to get out.

Fair enough. My kids would find it great fun as well. But they didn't happen upon the luggage rack until exiting the room. Prior to that Farrah was DRAGGING the child, by the arm, across the hotel room and out the door. My kids may whine a time or two about going to a class/lesson they chose, but I'll be damned if they didn't walk their happy asses to the car on their own.

I agree with this. There are plenty of ways to get social time for your kids other than dumping them in daycare all day. You can hook up with other parents at the park and go to parent-child classes. Then they call it "school" to assuage their guilt. And, sure, they DO teach them things. Pre-school is starting younger and younger. I don't know. To each their own, but I think most learning done before age 6 should be through play. There's too much pressure on kids these days!

The shifting thing is soooo accurate, but let's no insult Hans like that. He's probably the best looking cartoon dude I've ever seen.

sadly I am  D over here:(

But Cate needs to change the way she eats and exercises,

we women know how hard it is to lose weight after a certain age.

Oh I get you- Lezlers and Mittisgirl, was a DDD down to a small C about a year ago.  Best thing ever, wish I did it about 25 years ago! Except following the breast reduction, I could see how out of shape and big my stomach was.

I went through my teenage years as a 36E.   It was not fun.  The doctor tried to deter me from getting a reduction when I was 19 because I was still young and told me to wait until after I had kids.  Considering I didn't have kids until my mid-thirties, going ahead and getting it done then was the best decision I'd ever made.  Not one regret.

I'm still confused about the xanax situation. Only because.. while Cate wasn't in the wrong, the whole situation is strange. Like one someone just giving someone else a xanax like uh okay? That's not exactly on the up and up. The fact that Matts story is he took in case Amber needed it, like someone else said Amber has a whole lot of meds, surely she has something to squash her anxiety. And Cate just taking a xanax from Matt? That's strange too. I mean.. huh?

So....I'd stopped watching this show but I happened to watch this episode (but FFed through almost all but Amber and Matt & some of Farrah.....

Here's my take away:

- those chicks living in Farrah's condo in LA are some of the "Farrah's Friends" (google it if you don't know) webcam girls, porn stars, or escorts Farrah knows or who work for her "business" in LA, right?

- Matt HATES Amber. Seriously. He doesn't like the girl. At all. If it wasn't for MTV and the money, he'd have killed her a long time ago. I get it- 'd hate living with her, too (& have to steal Jeff's Xanax to cope) but this is the grift you chose, Matt...and you're an awful human being,

- Amber doesn't like Matt much either but is too far in with the emotional abuse and doesn't want to admit she's wrong or have to do anything with Leah when she's there/get up before 3pm, and Matt enables that. 

-Matt is pathetic and gross.

My heart broke for leah. First she is in the back yard on a swing by herself with GOOD MOTHER Amber just glancing out the window at her. Then Leah swings by herself and she seems concerned the cat is on the roof. The next scene is every one on the car and nobody talks to her. Finally while Amber Is on her drums Leah gets the.exciting job of watching her mom practice. I wonder how long she was there before Matt brought her the headphones.

Somebody PLEASE tell me Amber was not practicing at home

..because I lost count at about 8 guitars hanging on the walls. Please tell me she did not buy sleazy all those.guitars.  when matt leaves or is kicked out he will take the corvette (in his name) all those guitars and spinal tap and other memorabilia he has there. That way he can sell it.

Maci was drinking beer at the lunch with Bentley, I hope she didn't have too many refills as she is her son's drive home.

I'm sick of watching behind the scenes to press interviews, etc. This "show" has basically turned into a recycling mess of regurgitated storylines. "On next's week's episode, let's watch the girls get ready for the Teen MOM OG reunion, but first watch this clip of them getting ready for the After show..." there's no realness to the show anymore. Just us working folk watching people talk about being on a show and how they're so exhausted and have no time with their kids that they ignore while making 300k annually.

I am excited that one day we will hear "what Ambah's really like" from Matt after TM ends and he can't grift off her anymore or she dumps him (or at his trial when he's defending himself from murder charges....just kidding...kind of...I don't want Amber dead by any means, but as I said before, he HATES her).

Preach. I gained a lot of weight with my son. When he was about 3 and I still weighed 150 pounds on my small frame, I started running. I quickly dropped a lot of weight everywhere but my boobs (which were quite saggy from the weight loss). About a year later, I got a reduction to a B cup, along with a "mommy lift". It's much easier to do everything, my tits are nice and perky and I can lay on my stomach. Plus, I can wear those cute little bras and tank tops. The reduction and lift was worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

I was her once, the only difference was no one was with me because I had money or a TV show, they were with me because they were as dysfunctional as I was and that meant I would likely put up with their crap. 

Amber is never happy with him. Granted, it appears that she's not the happiest person in the world in general, but that man is dragging her down. Amber needs a man to define her, and that's why she stays with him. She doesn't need him to take care of her financially, she needs him to complete her because she doesn't just know how to be on her own. Being alone is scary. Consider that she does not have custody of Leah and if Matt wasn't there putting a dent in the sofa with her, she would be ALONE. She knows this and she can't bring herself to be okay with that. She also knows that being alone would require some hard work on her part to fix her life and maybe get into a position where she could have Leah half the time and also find someone who actually cares about her and wants her to be happy and well. The even though she claims to want Leah, like Jenelle and Jace, she does nothing to improve her chances to get her back. 

It took me someone like Matt to finally get the balls to be on my own. My ex makes Matt look like a saint. My ex had drug and alcohol issues, was addicted to porn, and I would say he probably cheated on me, but he was more interested in porn than pretty much anything so I'm not sure that he wanted to be with other women. He stole from me, lied to me, and was emotionally and physically abusive. When I finally got the guts to draw some boundaries, and he crossed them and I followed through on my promises, he kicked my door in and threatened me with a knife. The police came, and all the rest of it. That was the end for me. I spent many months on my own, not even hanging with friends, just going straight from work to home. I didn't want to meet someone who could smell my fear and desperation and loneliness and be drawn to me and destroy my life again. I spent several years on my own, and eventually met my husband who is a decent hard working guy that takes great care of me and was by my side through cancer. We have issues, like every marriage, but I trust him and feel like I finally chose well. We've been together nine years. 

I also think part of the problem is MTV money and the show. She doesn't have to work, she has no purpose, Matt fills the void because he too has no purpose and doesn't work. They really are perfect for each other in their dysfunction. Thing is, if the money and the show go away, so will Matt and she will be left with nothing. I hate Farrah but at least she's investing her money and didn't hitch herself to the first slob that came along. Isn't she the only teen mom that's been single pretty much the whole time?

The best part of the episode for me was Bentley's homemade card for Taylor. He was so happy to give it to him, studying his face for a reaction. I love homemade cards from my family, they're the best gifts. Bentley is truly a special kid with a big heart, I adore that kid. For me, he's the most likeable person on this show.

I have given one of mine to a friend here and there, if they really seem to need it. Very small dosage and it really works when used correctly.

Sorry you went through any of that.

One of my daughters was in a toxic relationship. It took something happening in public for her to file a PFA. He violated it 3 times, someone always bailed him out. Thankfully she has stayed away from him. You never know if that will be the case.

Matt is gross. Amber suggests counseling and he goes on and on about how confused he is. Amber actually had a good point (shocking, I know) about doing counseling before getting married. There is nothing wrong with it, my husband and I had a few sessions before we got married. He really wants to keep her under control and not speak to anyone. 

I'm also curious about where April is hiding

Preach. I gained a lot of weight with my son. When he was about 3 and I still weighed 150 pounds on my small frame, I started running. I quickly dropped a lot of weight everywhere but my boobs (which were quite saggy from the weight loss). About a year later, I got a reduction to a B cup, along with a "mommy lift". It's much easier to do everything, my tits are nice and perky and I can lay on my stomach. Plus, I can wear those cute little bras and tank tops. The reduction and lift was worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

OMG, going bra shopping after my reduction remains one of my fondest memories.   Suddenly, I could wear whatever I wanted and wasn't relegated to the army surplus super duper economy over the shoulder boulder holders!

Agree with you on both points.  My friend and I are both trial attorneys.  We've both been prescribed anti-anxiety meds here and there over the years in very small dosages and have a few left at different times.  When one of us is starting a trial and freaking the ever loving fuck out, we've been known to go into the other's office and ask for a half of something to calm our nerves enough to be able to actually speak.  It's much more common than people think. 

Also agree on your second point.  I drop my kids off at daycare in the morning and my husband picks them up. It's both our jobs, we're both their parents.  Neither Tyler nor Cate work so all child rearing responsibilities should fall on both of them equally.   Now that Nova is actually IN daycare maybe Tyler and Cate can do something productive with their time 3 days a week.  Ha ha ha ha!  I was barely able to type that with a straight face!

speaking of... what is the deal with that scene "i have to tell my tenants they need to move out" and 2 minutes later she chickens out and tells them she's totally open to seeing how much longer they want to stay. And THEN she gets mad at Sofia for saying "but i thought we were moving?"  why would she ask that farrah in front of them!?! Because she's a child and that's what you told you were going to do!! You probably told her you were kicking their asses out. 

 

No comment on Maci and Taylor golfing? That seems out of he blue for me.  Of course Maci had the fancy golf outfit...with the golf skirt and all...  couldn't tell if she was wearing actual golf shoes or not, more and more they look like regular tennis shoes.  But they were apparently new because she said she had blisters.  The matching embroidered golf bags.......  my parents and their close group of friends are big time golfers.  They aren't pros by any means but they love golfing and do it as much as they can.  They fit it into their vacations.  I've never seen anyone wear a skirt or having matching embroidered golf bags with their spouse!

Yeah, and did I hear correctly that the girls were interested in signing a lease for another MONTH? Why would it be necessary to "sign a lease" if it's only for an additional month? Just write a check & call it a day! Maybe I misheard though.

I am sure you and @lezlers have a legit prescription for Xanax. Matt, who claims to be a former addict (lie), and who claimed to have had a relapse in December (only to cover up his cheating) is now in the possession of prescribed medication that he readily admits is not his. That is the difference between what you do and what Matt did. It is not uncommon to share prescription medicine with others. It is also not a good idea since no one knows how someone can react to it, but people are aware of this happening and know it is the norm. Pointing out what Matt did is not comparable to what normal people do. What Matt did is not the norm because this is not a normal guy in a normal situation helping out a fellow co-worker. 

Cate doesn't need Xanax because she, like Matt, is a fucking liar who only has anxiety and depression when it suits her. 

Tyler taking Nova to daycare is not a "mother role vs. father role" issue and not everything has to do with that. The points being made is how Tyler does what he does because it gives him the attention (again) that he craves. In fact, it is almost always Tyler doing this role. Both he and Cate don't do anything all day long, why is it Cate can't partake in raising her child? It isn't as if she is out working. They can both share the load. Tyler does it for altruistic reasons whereas Cate can't bother at all.

What about this scenario. Do you think Cate set up Matt? Cate is the Boogie Town queen of the trailer park. One possibility is, I think she and Tyler got together in between her naps and cooked up a way to catch Matt in something as a way to get Amber to break it off with Matt.

Her response on the show - no.  Her response on twitter- absolutely 

And her post on twitter makes it seem like she doesnt have to tip toe around Amber when talking about Matt which may mean they are actually not together. I don't think she would have said that if Matt and Amber were still on course to get married.

I think Cate didn't realize it would be shown and wanted the xanax, only after she was busted was she just gonna show Amber. 

I don't care so much about the sharing of one xanax, def not recommended, but in the grand scheme of things not a huge deal, my issue is that matt has it for the purpose of giving it to someone, he doesn't take it, that's just weird to me. Both Cate and Amber have documented issues they are medicated for, so in that case you really shouldn't just take what you can get, and really should have their own anxiety meds so shouldn't need to self medicate.
