And it was even funnier that Leah made sure the cameras got the girls eating that veggie tray. She also continues to fail at understanding the concept of an actual, real job as evidence by her Jeremy BS.

Jenelle's make up is absolutely tragic. From the shitty attempt to contour her face to overly done eyebrows. Love how she pulled the mom card when her going to jail would be the best thing for her boys.

Kail says she needs to find ways to stay busy...really? You have two kids, one a toddler, go to school, have regular dick appointments with guys from said school and have a huge house your soon-to-be ex MIL no longer cleans for you.

 

Poor Issac! Seeing how hurt he was that Javi wasn't there for his graduation, I can't imagine how the divorce has affected him.

Jenelle can fall in a pile of shit and come out smelling like a rose. I'm surprised the court let MTV film the trial, also surprised it was a jury trial. Will this be the season Jenelle gets custody of Jace? I doubt it, she'll use her present pregnancy as an excuse. I really hate her. 

I feel bad for Isaac. He's going to have so many, many 'other Dad's' by the time he's 18.

If I was  MTV I would have told Adumb to go to hell. It was sickening how they were kissing his ass while he was being a dick to them. He brings nothing to the show as far as I'm concerned. He's acting like he's a great dad and he's not. I guess the deal with him was that they showed him in a good light, playing in the backyard with Aubree, I'm not buying it.

I'm going to start with Leah, because she bugged me the most. First of all, she has the 1993 realtor look down pat. But seriously...i'm sorry...Gracie and Ali weren't being bad. Truly, they weren't. All siblings have little squabbles, but these girls don't take their mother seriously, because she goes into hysterics over every little thing. When she started yelling at them to find the car keys, I couldn't help but wonder why she thinks they should keep up with the keys at all! they are KIDS. Grow up and find your own damn stuff.

You can't constantly overreact around kids. I learned this the hard way my first year of teaching! When I yelled at them because someone, say, wrote on the board, they saw it as a reason to actually misbehave to get a reaction. This being said, any parent or teacher probably learns this lesson the hard way. The proble, is that Leah isn't open to learning a lesson, so she will never change. If she got better at parenting, it would make her life so much easier, but she is too ignorant to even admit she needs help.

homegirl is also likely on drugs. I would be shocked if she wasn't in that clip where she yelled about needing to know where her kids were. It was beyond manic. Leah clearly can't even begin to handle the everyday stresses that most of us face. I bet she wouldn't last half an hour at any of our jobs! She is so lucky she's never had to face real stress before now, and even if she doesn't have the temperament to be a good parent, she should be open to trying.

Also, the way she talked to Addie about how hard it would be without Jeremy...who does that? The kid wasn't even upset. It was just Leah emphasizing, for the cameras, what a POS she thinks Jeremy is and baiting Addie for a reaction.  I bet if the poor girl had burst into tears, Leah would have felt smug about making him look bad on camera.

Jenelle didn't irritate me as much, only because we already knew she was found not guilty. I was super annoyed when I found out the news in person. 

I actually didn't mind Kail in this episode. I thought it was fun to watch her skydive, and she is a good parent to Isaac. I liked how she calmly explained his behavior was inappropriate. All these Leah leghumpers act like effectively disciplining your child is an impossibility, but you have to look no further than Kail to see a good parent. I have a feeling that Kail has so much drama this season, they wanted to give her one episode before javi comes home to not be a complete ass. 

Chelsea was extremely watchable because I didn't hear any baby voice! Yaaaaay! It's nice to see how much she truly cares for Aubree...you can really see it any FI,e she talks to the child.

The Simms are just as bad as Leah when it comes to the wheelchair.  Check out some of the comments on Jeff Simms' instagram one night.  They all believe that if she walks/runs/plays more then she will develop the muscles.

It was stupid. Never, ever let your dog outside without a leash. Even Chelsea's dad wasn't siding with her on that mess.  That little dog found its way to the neighbor's yard and...ugh. Poor baby. Kail had a dog who bit Isaac. She had to take him to the emergency room and eventually get rid of the dog. We didn't get to see that happen on camera, but the reason given was, Kail's dog was accustomed to human food. When Isaac had food in his hand, the dog went after him. Still, I see that these two are better pet owners than the rest.

Ryan has killed cats. Then, there is Farrah (dog wears a diaper, buys dogs and god knows what happens to them), Jenelle (keeps her dogs locked in cages), Amber (keeps her animals locked in the basement) and Catelynn (buys a pig only to give it away the next day; seeks out a horse, so many dogs and cats in the house), and then Leah (mystery of the dead cat, kids choking cats, cats secretly being taken into the car without Leah's knowledge). I am sure I am missing a big chunk of questionable animal scenes, but that is all that comes to my mind right now.

I can't comment on the new episode as it hasn't aired yet.

Adumb adds nothing, zip, zero zilch to the  show. I would love for MTV to cut him loose. Making the film crew stand outside while he  takes a nap is just disrespectful. As is expecting the crew and editors to discover on their own when he has father daughter events for them to film. What a jackass. 

Poor Isaac. He will have many dad's in the years to come. 

Janelle is just a POS . It was a waste of a case but she never has to pay the piper on anything. And was her lawyer snapping gum while trying a case? She was totally playing Ms lawyer for the cameras. 

Leah is a trainwreck, still. her car looks like an episode of Hoarders.

I was asking myself the same question regarding the police officer prosecuting the case.

Does Adam have the authority to refrain Aubrey from appearing on MTV? Maybe that is his bargaining power and why the producers allow his spoiled brat antics.

That was sad.  I felt for Jo too.  Way back in time Kail really did try to X out Jo and insert Javi.  He should never have called him dad.  He has a dad.  We are the type of family that keeps our exes.  They call their dad dad and their steps by their first names.  Sure they love them but you do have to set in concrete the differences between parent and steps.

Damnit all to hell. I feel the need to clarify these words. (Not Jennelle, mind you just her words.) There's a difference here! If you're getting something to drink, it's sweet tea. That was the weirdest trial ever. Apparently, no rules of evidence were at play. It was pretty clear no one prepared Jessie (sp?) and Nathan for their testimony. Nathan, especially, was saying stuff that was non-responsive and made it look like he and Jessie were trying to get back at Jenelle for keeping Kaiser from him. The whole thing was a farce. But I don't blame the jury. The state's case was a mess (from what I saw, anyway).

ETA: On another note, Chelsea's eyeliner is really awful. She's so pretty and it covers up her natural beauty.

I normally agree with your ever spot-on, matter of fact posts. I'm gonna disagree slightly here. I think they are taking the "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" approach. Not the "praying against all logic" approach. Just a positive way to look at things. I could be wrong though, just my perception.

Did anyone else see the girls on top of the mattresses? Paisley said that she was scared. Adam didn't even notice that it was unsafe spot for them to be in.   And he was so focused on arguing with the producers that he totally blanked on the fact that his kids were up at least 5 feet on mattresses that are just propped against the wall. I thought it hilarious when he was putting a blanket on the bed saying he was trying to make it safe.  No clue. And he wants the father of the year award? The only reason these kids are still safe is because they spend 90% of the time with their mothers. And how could he be taking a nap if the girls are just running around playing? I'm so confused by that scene and I'm looking forward to more fourth wall breaks to have it documented for all eternity how horrible Adam truly is. 

 Also, I don't think Adam is going to be quitting the show anytime soon because he does need the money. How else is he going to pay two child-support payments, his other bills, and his gym membership?  The rest of us mere mortals have to get jobs but these lucky inbreds get to get paid just for having kids at 16.  At least some of the ladies are professional and take it seriously, (Kail & Chelsea).

I agree only in this instance with Kail. Other families, I think it depends on the situation. I won't go into details on those other situations. I will just mention my reasons for why it was bad for Kail to do it.

First, she did it, as you mentioned, as part of her plan to cut Jo out of Isaac's life. It was not done out of love, loyalty, or any emotional attachment Isaac formed ON HIS OWN.

Second, she married for BENEFITS. If you are going to marry some guy for money and benefits, then do it, but don't involve children. Period.

Third, she should have given Isaac the freedom to decide what he wants to call Benefits Man.

Leah - Stop. Just stop. You made it very clear when you were talking to Missing Eyebrows Chasity (that spelling!!!) the very reason why you stressed out. It had nothing to do with having a panic attack because it was no panic attack. You are so worried with how you will be perceived by people and being called out on your behavior. Rightly so. It appears you still have your head in your ass. Don't even try and persuade me you are never like the person I watched losing her shit.  You are trying in vain to cover up some questionable behavior while MTV has decided to no longer hide that from the world.

MTV doesn't just show up unannounced.  So if Leah is so worried about how she is portrayed, why not be proactive and say, hmmm I know MTV is coming next week.  Let me clean my house. But something always goes wrong when MTV shows up!!!! :)

Anyway. Yes if she really truly thinks plans go badly when MTV arrives and it throws her off track.. be extra prepared. Granted maybe she had a real anxiety attack and maybe MTV does throw her into one like she was saying to her friend but if she truly feels this could have happened, again be prepared like I said. Have extra keys around, make sure your purse is packed, make sure the kids bags are prepacked, maybe make sure the outfits all out and ready. The night before I do anything, I always make sure my purse is ready & I have an outfit ready as well. Random things can happen in the morning to throw you off but there are things you can do to make it less of a hassle. So these are the reasons why her explanations do not make sense to me.

I think they were going to air two episodes back to back -- my DVR guide even showed a two-hour time slot with the two episodes scheduled -- but when I looked again yesterday morning it showed only one. I guess MTV changed their minds about the schedule.

I just love that Chelsea refuses to film any of her wedding stuff. It's about time we see one of these girls put up some boundaries. Good for her. She did throw them a little bone and let them film Aubree trying on her dress, though. And I thought it was great to bring all her friends to ooh and ahh over Aubs. Adumb, on the other hand, is the douchiest. I thought he wanted to quit the show? Why hasn't he? I'm just really sick of how he continues to blame Chelsea for everything. MTV has no good footage of him because Cheslea doesn't tell them what he's doing. And that's her job, why??? How about YOU call the producers up and say, "I'm doing a sleepover at the zoo with Aubree in case you want to film it"? Then if they don't follow up, you have a valid claim that they're trying to paint you in a bad light. But at this point, you have nothing. 

P.S. If I saw Adumb at the zoo I'd throw him to Harambe's brother. 

 

So Kail doesn't have the balls to have a serious conversation with Javi about their relationship, but she has the balls to jump out of a plane? Priorities, Kail. She's never had them. That's why I cannot stand her. When Isaac was being all bratty at his graduation dinner, then we find discover he's acting out because his "other dad" wasn't there - that just broke my heart into a million tiny pieces. I seriously think I died a bit inside. That kid is SO sensitive, and it's quite clear this deployment has been hell on him. How is he going to react when he learns his other dad is never coming back home? Gah, I hate this so much. 

I realize divorce is a part of life, and Isaac is certainly not the first kid to experience it. But I just hate that Kail rushed into marriage, already knowing how dysfunctional this relationship was, and set her own child up for complete and total heartbreak. I also think she could try harder to make it work, but I realize that's never going to get them anywhere. Kail needs an entire personality reconstruction before she can ever have a long-term functioning relationship. (Not saying Javi is a prize either, but I do think he was more interested in working on things.)

 

So Leah is flipping out because she really HAS gotten her shit together over the past year and it just happened to be the ONE day they are there to film that she loses her keys and is running late? Judging by the hoarders nightmare that was her car, little has changed in the Messer household. This was a typical day for ol Leah. She's just pissed that there's no Instagram filter to make it all pretty and positive. But you go ahead and take your "moment" while your kids are out in the car by themselves. 

Also, I don't like her attitude about Germy's job. She knew what he did for a living when she married him; she knew how much travel that included. This is how he provides for his daughter. She's actually quite lucky that she got the TWO baby daddies in the whole series who are hard workers and she'll never really have to worry about a child support check, show or no show. But that's not good enough for the Princess of Possum Holler, is it? She's going to complain that Addie will only see her daddy one week out of 4 months. Never mind the fact that SHE has no job and is perfectly capable of driving out to SD to see him. I'm sure Miranda and Cory would be more than happy to keep the girls longer than normal. Egads, she's crazy making. 

I did get a good laugh at her internet FU moment when Addie was eating a veggie plate at her little table instead of a can of frosting. Or rather, SITTING with a veggie tray. Not sure she actually ate any of that. (Until the cameras left, and Leah brought out the can of frosting for dipping sauce.)

 

I don't really have much to say about Jenelle, given that we already knew the outcome of this trial. (I was surprised that MTV was allowed to film in there, though.) Now Jenelle can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief. She doesn't have to worry about this assault charge effecting her big "career". She can now focus on getting Jace back.....for the 10 millionth time. (Won't happen.)

I just have two questions:

1. How do you "make" ice water?"

2. Why does Jessica look so old??? She has straight up granny hands!

The court thing was just confusing from top to bottom. The park ranger trying that case, how the fuck did he prep those two buffoons? Did he talk to his clients at all? probably not, because he might have said "Lose the samurai knot and button your top button on the stand, asshole." And maybe offer a few objections, like  when Lovely Lovelace or whatever her name is says "Mr Griffiths, you are doing this just to affect the custody case of your son with Ms. Evans, isn't that correct?" 

Objection, counsel is speculating without evidence and baiting the witness into a confrontation that is irrelevant to the facts of the case. 

"You really know how to push Ms. Evans buttons, isn't that what you're doing here?" Objection, ibid, or just "Objection, Mr. Griffiths is not the plaintiff in this case, he's a witness, which I'd ask the court to remind the jury is about the defendant assaulting my client with a mason jar. Perhaps counsel is getting Ms Evans numerous pending court cases mixed up, but the custody battle between here and Mr. Griffiths is not, in fact being adjudicated here today."

It's like they had ten minutes to try the case and did it with a community college's theater department playing the parts, except wardrobe didn't have an extra suit. When that guy showed up, they said "look, we don't have a suit that fits you Barry, but you know they call lawyers 'officers of the court,' right? Maybe this police officer outfit?" MTV shot some B roll outside MB's courthouse, and voila, it's basically white trash Inherit the Wind. Is there any sensible explanation other than Jenelle can afford to pay for a real lawyer, but Nathan and whatever that lady's name is can't?

It was a criminal case. A magistrate, like the one in Jenelle's case,  presides over misdemeanor criminal trials. Jenelle was charged with third degree assault. Per the link I posted, magistrates handle the lesser criminal cases and civil cases so judges can deal with the bigger cases. 

I noticed Jenelle's case was handled in HORRY County. Ok, the kid in me laughed.

LMAO at that shot of Addie eating from a veggie tray. You know as soon as the cameras were gone those veggies were trashed and the frosting cans and sugar packets came back out.

As much as Leah annoys me, I do feel sorry for her. Her reaction to losing her keys was so extreme, I feel like she either has some mental health issues or she's back on drugs. And she's way too skinny, so she's obviously not taking care of herself. Leah's surrounded by family who should be concerned for her, but instead they watch her scream and wail and act like nothing is wrong. I hate that those girls have to watch their mother behave in that manner (and I don't believe for one second that Leah only gets that way when MTV is there). Leah truly needs to work on bettering herself, because it's a process that involves a lot more than insisting to the cameras that everything's fine.
