Should someone tell them the 12 days of Christmas is the period running from Christmas Day until the Feast of the Epiphany, December 25 thru January 6? They appear to be celebrating the run up to Christmas with a truncated version of the traditional Advent calendar. Better question is why do I even care what a Duggar does?

I assumed they were making pasta- that it wasn’t ready to eat yet. But probably wasn’t paying enough attention to the context of the photo.

Thank you.  If you are going to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, at least know when they are.  The 12 of Christmas is NOT Advent.

I don't have TikTok, but it's all over Instagram. I think if my mom threw a pot of spaghetti on the kitchen table, I would have questioned it..lol.

my grands have informed me this is the Dinner Dump challenge or Messy Meal challenge. They looked at Joy's pic and said that it was not right because everything should be dumped together on the table. the fruit was too "organized" in their opinion.😂

True, most people use the cheap stuff. And drag out the crock pots to make it in, so they can feed all 97 of their relatives. 

When you only need 15 minutes of cooking time and use quality ingredients, the results will be drastically different than their usual beige, overcooked glop.

My point is that most people would find a middle point here.  Beef tenderloin is a costly superior cut of beef that most people would serve it by itself as a fine roast.  Flank steak or sirloin would more likely be used for stroganoff.

Obviously symbolizing the blood of Jesus, because why wouldn't you have a blood cake for Jesus's birthday? 

Interesting Christmas Eve spread.  Mountains of salt, except for the fruit.  I can't imagine the blood pressure of those people.  No worries about Austin ever getting angry & physical with the kids, he's more likely to stroke out first.

Overall it doesn't bother me except there is a can of bean dip and only enough Fritos for 2 people.

I tend to use a lot of salt ( I am trying to reduce my salt intake) and my blood pressure is normal, a lot of time on the low side of normal.

Putting 2 toddlers squarely on the path to a lifetime of poor nutrition, sky-high sodium, high fat & preservatives and processed faux-food reliance is not ideal.  Though these are Duggars, so there's no real expectation of anything else.  And the adults don't seem to care about their health either.

And I do count Austin as a Duggar.  He's fully assimilated.
