Of course he fell into the woman's "clutches." Oh, Lu. All this to save face? I get why she was harping on where the cheating happened because it's their place. That further proves how disrespectful he is. He didn't even bother going to another bar where they're unknown. He went to their neighborhood spot and cheated. He's showing you who he is, Lu. Believe him.

 I'm so over Sonja going on about 'dating' Tom. Dating and boning are two different things. Move on.

Let's hope that is the case. I don't even like her that much any more, but even I think she deserves better than this. When she was talking about him falling into the woman's "clutches", I had to cringe. Of course it will be the other woman's fault that he did this terrible thing. How humiliating this all looks on her. 

I'm giving her huge props for the thing with Adam. She seemed really happy to see him and that was nice to witness.

Interesting that in the horrible moment Lu admitted that she may have more money than Tom does. In the press this week she is saying that he has more money than any of them, including Beth. So which is it?

That was one of the funniest episodes of the Housewives franchise ever, I think.  Between LuAnn and her ridiculous shenanigans and the other women finding ways to chew the scenery over it, I chuckled from start to finish.  

I especially loved the part later in the episode when LuAnn admitted (claimed) that she'd had a fight with Tom the night he played kissy face with that other woman, but she seemed bewildered as to how or why it all happened when she was in the hotel room with Bethenny.

Are you kidding me?? This was the big reveal?? The supporting players are and continue to be totally lame...Dorinda, Carole, Ramona and Sonja...all desperate not to be left out of the drama. Gathering on the bed of the stricken Bethy, who is swigging Skinnygirl with palsied hands. Oh my, poor, poor Bethy. Then, deciding that her SK swill is not enough, goes for the good stuff, straight vodka. Beam must love that. What a moment for our Beth...Little Miss Truth Bomb, who informs Lu that she can't marry Tom since he is a cheater...this while she is banging a married man with kids. Of, being an honest person, she is keeping her personal mess on the down low. This is all about the terrible choices Lu is making, and her failure to follow old Bethy's script.  I give her a few points for not breaking into cackles of glee while she lowers the boom.

More points to Jules for asking for the time stamp...and asking who sent these photos...good thinking, girlfriend. On a shallow note, Jules looks wonderful with her hair up and in overalls. 

And the party?? How many guests were there...30?? I always enjoy a party with overhead mall lighting. Seriously, Bethy's details suck. And her dress was a mistake...a skeletal chest with those enormous bolt-ons. Not a good look. Just a desperate one. Carole continues to eat like a mule, Ramona is loaded, Sonja is disappointed that no one is interested in her story, Dorinda is getting called on her shit-stirring, and Lu looks like she has had a rough week.

Finally though, she told Bethy to back off and effectively shut up. Almost. Leaving was a smart move.

Side note:  I quite enjoyed B's summation of the parade of losers these ladies have managed to amass.  Her color commentary was spot-on.  Adam is truly the only ray of light in otherwise dismal, if not completely black and morally bankrupt, specimens of humanity.

Bethenny is the fakest faker who ever faked with her no tears sobbing and demanding a Skinny Girl drink in the throes of her Oscar moment. Bitch, who are you trying to fool? Luann is either doing a multi-layered, ultra-controlled narrative with Tom, or her synapses are hella misfiring.

I just couldn't believe it. She tearfully flees the cameras and tells them to stop filming, but she won't leave Bethenny's room to have this accusatory talk with Tom. Then, she minimizes the hell out of the indiscretion (it becomes "a kiss" because there's pictorial receipts, despite it being an hour-long makeout) and pins it on a conniving seductress. Then she lashes out at the women to stop talking about it and back the fuck out of her life when they really obviously weren't. There's just something about all of it that doesn't add up to how a real human acts, even judging on the Housewives filler-pumped bell curve. Her confessionals were next-level. Therapy is not self-service, Luann, and your brain's "check engine" light has been on for years now, so go talk to a third-party that isn't you and Tom's collective thirst.

My working theory is she is masterfully chasing her next divorce settlement. I don't really mean this in a shaming way, though it will sound like it, but clearly marrying well is her career of choice, and she's been unemployed for a while now. I want to believe that she's crafting a narrative where she's blindly, madly in love. Maybe it's a secretly open relationship, or maybe she already knew this guy gets blackout drunk a full four decades after that behavior stops being remotely acceptable. Or maybe there was some other unflattering behavior she wanted to casually weave into next season, and this "oh shit, he's a handsy alcoholic" thing fell in her lap and she decided to run with it after she got over her initial shock. I really can't puzzle this out. But the way she's acted about Tom this entire season, especially this episode, feels like it has to be a stunt so she can get into a hasty prenup-less marriage, a quick divorce, and get an eternal victim edit. If it's not, she's absolutely crazy. The one thing I'm sure about is that I'm excited for her to be peak Discountess at the reunion, and hopefully a delightful shitshow all next season. She better not pull a Shannon Beador on us and trot out a cringey, artificial and saccharine love story.

Also, Bethenny needs acting lessons. She reminds me of middle school, when I got it in my head that if I had anemia/low blood sugar like a couple of the popular girls in my grade, I would get all the attention, so I faked hand-trembles like I was an alcoholic mom in a Lifetime movie. That shit was over the top.

Ramona is still crazy. She is starting to enter the Fancy Feast territory with the face work, but damn the funniest offhand comments keep coming out her mouth.

So much truth. Shaky-hands Bethenny was loving that she could stretch out Tom's cheating over a three day weekend. Clearly she couldn't complain about her hemorrhaging whilst wearing thong bikinis so she was reveling in making Luann's story about her. B was chewing all the Mandarin Oriental scenery she could get her hands on tonight. Also, it gave her the opportunity to take three or four more shots at Hoppy.   

The only explanation I can come up with for Luann's behavior is that she is DYING for a storyline and a wedding show, right? However her continuous comments of us jealous, predatory women sets my hair on fire. And it makes me curious about what really went down with that Honey chick from Luann's very special Bravo show.

Finally, I understand I'm awful but all I could think during the toreador scene was 'oh dear, Jules is thinner than the napkin'.

This is a big deal because Lu was upset about it - as we saw. Unless I am wrong, we've heard nothing from the wife of Beth's boyfriend, and have zero idea what their situation is.  For all we knew the wife left him and has a boyfriend of her own.

I agree, though in the case of the woman TomCat was playing tonsil hockey with, it is doubtful that she knew he was 'committed'.  Lu said Tom had not seen this woman in awhile, and a mere 10 days previously he wasn't engaged, and several weeks previously was not even dating Lu. I love though that Lu said Tom could not resist this woman's clutches - didn't Lu at one point say that no one can steal someone from someone else?

In any case TomCat is either a huge liar, or has a big drinking problem. He was with this woman for almost 2 hours and doesn't remember any of it? Sure TomCat. Also he and Lu went out to dinner, went home, had a fight, and by 10:45 he is already back at the bar and starting an almost two hour make out session. I call B.S. on the 'too drunk to know what I was doing' excuse. And then to top it off sticks the woman with the bill. Real catch, that Tom.

Very interesting that Lu admitted that she may have more money than TomCat. I have read estimations of anywhere from 3 million to 15 million as Lu's net worth. Even 15 million is not a lot for her lifestyle and 3 million I would consider upper middle class even where I come from which is nowhere near as expensive as NYC. I did laugh when the ladies pointed out that TomCat's last girlfriend was very wealthy and he didn't give her a ring. Doesn't mean he didn't try - she might have had better sense and a better bulls**t meter. Lu has neither.

All of the women seem really lonely.  Luann is the worst off all.  Does she have a deadline she has to get married by?  What's the rush? Marrying someone who's already cheated on her? Huh?

Lu has never been a girl's girl so her complete revision of Tom's indiscretion didn't surprise me in the least. Let's face it, she would squash another woman like a bug to get her man.  She wants that marriage and this was just a bump in the road. One thing I find curious about Lu this season is how physically she is looking. Last season, she looked fab. She just looks so much rougher this year.  This love certainly isn't putting a glow on her face. Makes me think she knows exactly what the score is with Tom but maybe at a more subconscious level. So her denial is instead manifesting in her looks. She is still an attractive woman but something is off if that makes any sense. 

I actually thought Bethenny's trembling hands was real. Not because of her concern for Lu but because how the viewers were going to maybe negatively judge her. Like she was thinking that she may have just stepped into a big pile of do doo. 

I actually kind of enjoyed the show tonight.  There were a few things that cracked me up that you guys have touched on.

Bethenny might be nasty, but at least she's not pathetic. Lu is sad and pitiful. She barely knows this man. You would think that she knows herself and her dynamics with Bethenny to know that Bethenny had to come with receipts. And even if she doesn't, what is Lu implying? That Bethenny hates her so much that she put a bounty on Tom? Spiked his drink? Has spies all over town to catch him fucking up? That is too ludicrous to even dignify. And the fact that she and Tom are trying to cover this shit up highlights the thing that I've always hated about Luann. She is shady, shallow, and all surface. And she's afraid to be alone. And not just alone, but afraid to be without a man. It's the reason why Bethenny had to have every last detail of what went down at the Regency because she knows Lu doesn't like Bethenny and has never been inclined to trust any woman ever.

I'm going to go back and read all these…but first, in no particular order

-- Luann: her insecurities were so evident when she presumed they were all talking about her, when they weren't. And she though Ramona was talking about Tom, when she was talking about Mario.

-- I don't know why, but I am so fixated on on the fact that Beth walking into her party saying she loves setting all the details, yet she didn't know they were serving vegetarian ceviche. I thought you like details Beth??? You didn't  even know what was being served.

-- I could comment on more: their dates, their outfits, etc. but this season has been sort of "whatever" for me, so I don't' care that much.

-- Loved that Ramona looked down on her jewelry. I think she's a bitch sometimes. 

-- It wasn't until her talking head late in the show until I realized Sonya was hardly in the episode. She walked in -- and she wasn't seen again. Perhaps because she didn't want to discuss Tom -- even in a group. But Ramona was sure in the thick of it talking about it.

I agree. I think, that Bethenny realized that Luann/Tom's engagement wasn't the storyline stunt she thought it was and realized how bad she would look to the viewer. Bethenny was all kinds of wrong in how she went about this and she knows it, she knew it then. She cackled in glee telling and retelling this to most of the women present in Miami and that can't be changed even through editing. Then when tells Luann, she gets a very raw, very real emotional reaction from Luann and Bethenny realizes she is going to get burn on this one.

Luann lost some points with me this episode.  Not even surprised with her making excuses and buying the I was drunk and don't remember jive damn near right off the bat, but ugh at standing by him as he tries to strong arm Dorinda into making up stories? Pathetic.

Dorinda had me until the end. Once again B calls her the village idiot and she agrees. WTF son?!?! Where's the arm flailing gangsta moll telling B to back that shit up? Huh?

On the lighter side of the news: looks like Adam finally acquainted himself with water and soap.

Worse was that it seemed like over the course of the initial phone call he started off with - I was so drunk I don't remember anything - to spinning the story about who the woman was and how it happened.  Uh, so you DO remember it then?  I mean, I guess he could have recognized her by seeing a non-blurred picture of her face but it seemed like he went beyond that in his excuse making.  Maybe it's just the lawyer in me but c'mon man, get your story straight and stick with it!!

I'd love to know what the lawyer in you thinks about TomCat then trying to get Dorinda to lie for him? And does anyone even understand what that was all about? Was Tom going to pay off waitresses/bartenders to say it didn't happen that night? And what would Dorinda have to do with it?

Hearing her say "$10,000.00 worth of jewelry" over and over again reminded me of what's her name from RHOBH with her $25,000.00 sunglasses.

That would be Dana aka "Pam" as Kim Richards called her since she was too high to remember her real name.

By the way Google Dana, she is a real piece of work, but I still remember her drunk slurring lunch and lighting her cig with the table candle, fun times!
