She told her family it was for a dating show.  I'm amazed at how many lies this girl tells.  Personally I wouldn't marry someone if I knew they could lie so easily to people they love because I know they would just as easily lie to me.

Anti-depressants can give someone a very flat affect, too. It could be that that's how she tolerates her lifestyle. I'm convinced she's just a high-end escort and maybe porn actress.

Moscow is a very expensive city to live in. I know people from there who make a lot of money in the US and think twice about buying an apple whenever they come  back to visit family.  I really don't see how a 20 year old from there can be half fillers and plastic parts, unless she's had a string of sugar daddies. If she was from a wealthy family, her parents would have sent her to finishing school in Europe and they would have found her a rich guy to marry her off to with a pedigree that checks out, not some zhlub like Jorge.

She does have that dead behind the eyes look, not the look of a woman in love, or even one that's happy to be there on vacation.  I can see what people mean on speculating that she must have been a high priced escort.

Anfisa is definitely a nasty piece of work, and can only be described as my Brit mother would say as "common" or as "chusma" as my Latino husband would say.  Jorge complains that American women are just "too independent", so he wants to buy himself a plastic tart who treats him like an ATM. How is Anfisa NOT independent? She's got her own hustle going on, and even though I find her rude, smug, and a total beyotch of the seventh water, I have to respect her for not pretending to be anything other than who she says she is. The attraction to foreign women seems to be predominately beta males who want to attract a better looking woman than they're capable of getting here or they want someone who is subservient and they want to gain the upper hand by holding a visa or green card over their heads. No American woman with a lick of sense would put up with that shit.  But wait..there's Dani, Nikki, Nicole...

They haven't said but they supposedly met through a program that connected them so she could improve her Spanish and that he could improve his English. Of course that could have been as much of a lie as his student visa lie.

Even just enough to greet her family and say, "Hello? How are you?" You can learn that much in an afternoon.  Chantel came to visit him more than once during their courtship so I'm going to say he had at least a few months there, plus a good two to three months to study in earnest while he was waiting to get approved for the K-1.  He should at least be able to greet them and have something of a one-on-one conversation with her brother, even if it was a simple one. The argument between Nicole and Azan was interesting. I was praying he would end it right there. Her use of the phrase "show me off" was bizarre, with her demanding to know how he was going to show her off if he wasn't putting his arm around her in public. This is going to sound harsh and reveal what a horrible person I am, but honestly, what is there to show off? She's an obese, provincial, self-absorbed, demanding, 22 year old single mom with no education, a minimum wage job, no prospects, no maturity, and nothing in her closet but tank tops and jorts. I'm trying to understand what she thinks she has that needs to be shown off. And who it needs to be shown off to.
 

In other news, Matt is a jealous little b!tch. That comment he made about Alla "she's done a good job of making sure she gets noticed" should tell her everything she needs to know about him. That, and the fact that he refuses to put his friends and family and check. Alla is too much of an independent adult for him.

And finally, what the hell was up with Anfisa's nipples? They were large and in charge under that tank dress.

All Anfisa needs to be the perfect villain is to be stroking a white Persian cat on her lap. I don't believe for a minute that her apt in Russian was as big and modern as she was trying to make out. Frankly, I am starting to think that whole fight and canceling his ticket to Russian was some ruse so he wouldn't see how she really lived. 

 If both her and Jorge are agreeing that they believe in traditional roles - Jorge earns a living and Anfisa takes care of the home and family, than WTF with her not being able to do shite?!? I bet her idea of taking care of the house is maids, nannies and ordering out or better yet a personal chef. Her hustle is one for the books. Not Wendy Deng Murdoch good (if Wendy ever teaches classes at the Annex, I AM THERE) but pretty impressive nonetheless. 

Anfisa's headlights were on high beam in that apt scene.

I think it was pretty much guessed here that Jorge was likely convicted on some type of drug charge given his current profession so kudos to the posters positing that he was likely having a hard time due to a criminal record. 

Nicole wants to be shown off and how can poor Azan show her off if he can't put his arm around her shoulder or hug and kiss her in public? I was thinking maybe he can slap a blue ribbon on her.  I was so incredibly annoyed with Nicole this episode, more than usual. How many times does she have to be told that it is against the law? She actually is the type that needs a brick wall to fall on her (or in this case - pieces of brick walls hurled at her in a public square) to get it. Nicole has incredibly low self esteem and wants the world to know that someone has chosen her and wants her because no one does or no one the world finds hot anyway. She wants to be shown to be claimed by a man, especially an attractive one.

I almost had some respect for Azan for putting his culture and religious beliefs before green card thirst and knowing that constant need for physical reassurance shit was gonna get old fast, but the season ain't over and Nicole is seen in the previews testing a camel's strength and talking to his family about cultural respect.  A conversation which really makes me want to reach into the screen and slap because firstly her ass is not a child and she has a child and should know better. Secondly, she voluntarily engage in this endeavor and should have educated herself beforehand. She is the proverbial ugly American. I think I said this last week  - she is Family Guy's Peter Griffith in drag and just as dumb too.

Lawd, Narkiya (that's gonna be fun to try to spell out weekly) is a whole other level.  Smart enough to smell something in the milk ain't clean, dig deeper and find out ALL THE LIES but than falls into brain dead mode by completely forgiving him and marrying  his lying ass. I like her friends. Her cousin may be Bev's black equivalent, although this one has far more alarm bells ringing so I hope she goes in and lets have on that fiance.

Max is a total sweetie. Other than that I got nothing on Alla and Matt, although Matt going in for a hug when really Alla was just trying to get her handbag that was behind kinda made me giggle.

Great catch. This will now be my truth. I've also decided that Matt's ex-wives never cheated on him. Matt. I'm quickly beginning to see why his marriages didn't work out. Alla is a smart lady and I'm sure she'll get his number quickly. It really wasn't too smart of Patrick's girlfriend to let Alla know in such a brutally honest way about Patrick's feelings, now Alla will never like him.

Anfisa. They only thing she's going to be making for dinner is reservations. At least she's upfront about her intentions, she's not sugarcoating a darn thing.

Nicole. Every week I think she can't possibly get any stupider, but she continues to amaze with the levels of infantile behavior she exhibits. Constantly interrupting Azan and pushing him around when he's trying to explain why and how he's feeling isn't helping grease the wheels for a loving and harmonious relationship. All she wants him to do is shut up and bone her. I feel sorry for him, he's looks stuck and unsure of how to get out of this mess.  I'm even starting to feel sorry for the camels.

I commented that Nicole seemed aggressive in the last episode when she told him "Do NOT tell me no!" when she was trying to hug him out in public.   Tonight we see her actually get physically aggressive with him when she was angry.  Its interesting to see the combination of immaturity, insecurity, and then aggressive/demanding in one person.  Its an interesting mix for sure. Makes me wonder what her temper is like with her daughter and family.

Not in sex ed, not in nutrition class, and not when you're talking with your supposed fiancé. How's that working for you, Nicole?

She's delusional.  At first I was thinking the poor dumb girl fancied herself a trophy wife who deserved to be treated like arm candy, but her comment that no one has ever paid attention to her seemed to suggest that her actions are born of desperation rather than a sense of entitlement.   Her fantasy seems to depend on Azan's desperation being even greater than hers -- that in his hopefulness and gratitude for getting a shot at a green card he would reward her with the adoration she has always craved.  Because, you know, he owes it to her.

I'd help Nicole up on that camel, point it to the desert and smack it on the ass.

For everyone who is wondering what Azan sees in Nicole, remember that she is 22 years old, has blonde hair and is a native-born United States Citizen.  That last point is all she needs.  There are thousands of men around the world who would marry her just for being a young American blonde.  Do not underestimate the power of these characteristics.  With her personality, it will end up like Mo and Danielle because 

Chantel is not ready for marriage.  I don't understand why she wanted to "make some friends" with other boys and grind on other boys at that club on last week's episode.  Pedro seems like a nice guy so I feel bad for him but I don't think that he should have agreed to come to the USA lying to his future in-laws.  He should only have agreed to come if he was really able to get a student visa or get a work visa and provide for himself and Chantel.  He should have considered asking her to live in DR.  

I have no words for the fake African prince.  I disliked him ever since I saw the preview when he said "She put a ring on it!"  I wanted to vomit. That poor woman doesn't even care that he lied to her about two major things.  She is so desperate.  I wish that her friends could figure out a way to stop her from pursuing this relationship.  

Anfisa's appearance frightens me.   She looks like she has undergone facial cosmetic surgery.  Does Jorge find her attractive simply because she is Russian?  He is not old or ugly.  If he lost about 50 pounds and went to the gym, he would actually look okay.  This stupid idea of American men looking for poor uneducated foreign women to live out their 1950s backwards ideas of gender roles is to blame.   I don't feel sorry for Jorge because he could improve his appearance and easily find a woman in the USA.  Even with his criminal record.  

Alla is the only women that I kind of like.  I don't know what she is thinking marrying a man who has been twice divorced but she has a child and she needed to come to the US so I guess she feels that she has to take what she can get.  Matt is creepy.  His appearance and his jealousy don't sit well with me.  I hope that he does not do anything crazy.  I agree that the friend should never have shared what Patrick thinks. She does not need to know that.  I hope that her son does not get hurt in all of this.  At least Nicole's daughter has her aunt and grandparents.

This storyline feels like an intrusion.   The idiocy and sleaziness surpass the other stories by a mile.  The single greatest cliche in the world of internet scams is the Nigerian royalty scam, and now we're asked to sit and watch it dramatized.   I have no use for either of these people.   And I now hate the word "catfish" she used it so many times.

I also hate her use of catfish, which is a false identity for the purpose of enhancing one's romantic prospects.  From her own description her "prince" was a 419 scammer, using a false identity for the purpose of draining her of every last cent she has.

Anfisa if she wasn't such  a villain I might feel sorry for her. Clearly Jorge is not the catch she thought he was. So if his medical marijuana business goes belly up, which is a distinct possibility with most small business, especially those like the marijuana business which hasnt found its business legs yet, then anfisa will be off with a guy with no job,  a criminal record and a work history that many companies may frown on. I hope Jorge is putting lots of money away cuz he may need it. But something tells me he goes through every  cent he makes. 

Oh Nicole I'm with azan wtf do you want? When he tells you PDA is not acceptable you pout. 

Run alla run. Matt will never get over his feelings that Everytime the phone rings or you step out the door that you are cheating. Also, lose the gloves. Fingerless gloves are really not a thing in Kentucky. 

The other 2 I give a big whatever to. I think tlc made a mistake not introducing the new couple from the beginning. I'm not as invested in them as the others and I'm not sure I will be.

Matt is coming across as a whiny, manipulative douche.  Now I see why his other marriages ended.  He always says he was cheated on his first and third marriages.  Wonder what happened with 2nd marriage?

Jorge - He's a felon.  Didn't he meet Anfisa out of the country?  Are felons allowed visas?  I really don't know.  But the "you're dumb,"  MARVELOUS!.

Azan concerned that May called him daddy so soon.  Does May call every boyfriend daddy?  Or has Nicole already told her "that's your new daddy?"  Not good.  But I was pleased that he picked up on it and is concerned about it.  Watch Azan's audition tape at TLC.  I think he's actually alright as a person and if he dated someone who wasn't so immature and needy could make a good husband (maybe, I mean, I don't know him after all).  But her theatrics are designed to manipulate him in order to soothe the huge holes in her psyche.  I wish the entire show was these 2.

Narikya - OMG SHE'S IN MY AREA!!!!  I don't know if I would recognize her at the mall but there's no way I would miss her friend with the nose spikes.  WTH is that!  How does one WORK with those things in?  What a perfectly dreadful look.  

Chantel - boring as usual.  No point in her being on this show.  Who cares.
