It’s truly baffling how the back and sides of his hair have flecks of grey, but the top part, no grey at all. 🤔 Male patterned baldness must be on Michelle’s side of the family, because JB isn’t balding one bit! 🙄

Or that tiny Just for Men bottle of hair color is not enough to cover all of JB's hair.

I think that male pattern baldness runs through the female side of the family anyway, so even if he is going bald (which, it sure appears as though he is, unless his gray is coming in like none I have ever seen before), he doesn't have to take any blame for it running through his offspring.

Mostly, though, I found myself thinking that I've never noticed before that his profile was so wonky...his nose is strangely flattened, and he looks to have a bit of an underbite. Like there is some bulldog mixed in there or something.

Do any of you lawyers know how much time is needed from knowing a verdict is reached, to then assemble in court to read the verdict?

It will vary. Usually the lawyers and defendant are not far from the courtroom so can be there a short time after being summoned by the court.

If everyone's hanging out in the courthouse and the judge isn't tied up in another hearing it would be quick. If people have to walk or drive back to the courthouse, and if the judge is conducting another hearing or handling a matter in chambers (aka the judge's office), it could be longer.

Usually judges try not to unduly inconvenience the jurors after their verdict is in, and will try to minimize the waiting time.

ETA: I think JB's wearing a probably expensive high quality hairpiece that he bought a few years ago, and since then his own hair has started going grey, hence the clear line of difference. Too bad about the TV money faucet being turned off, JB. Might be hard to find the money to update the hairpiece.

Of course thirsty Hilaria was there 🙄

I stopped watching the show when 19 and Counting was cancelled, so all I have done to keep up is to read the wonderful snark on here. I have no idea about this Hilaria chick, but she sure does sound like a prize from the way everyone talks about her. Wondering what Michelle thinks of her?

Meech probably loves her. After all, Hilaria is nothing if not a Duggar sycophant.

Hilaria and Jill R. could give each other a run for their money.  Only difference, Hilaria doesn't wear garish make up!

I think he might find the cash. Luckily, even though he has 20 kids, he'll never have to make a tuition payment!

It looks like there's a ridge from side to side in the back where the black hair meets the graying hair--that sure looks like a hairpiece to me.  How the mighty have balded!

Baldness can be genetically passed by both parents.

Plus, Hilaria feeds her children and doesn't dress them in Goodwill rejects.

ETA: My dollar store sells black hair dye for men that is supposed to color the grey. JB could cheaply dye his hair to match his wig.

I wonder if they have framed forgiveness as I have (the first time I heard it expressed this way was on Oprah and it resonated): Forgiveness is letting go of the hope that the past would have been different.

For me, forgiveness is not at all about the other person, the one who hurt you. It's something you give yourself. The peace with never forgetting, never condoning, but accepting that it happened, it wasn't your fault, and releasing it.

I love this so much, makes so much sense, thanks for posting it:)

Apparently the jury has already started deliberating, but The Sun updates are way behind.

Thanks for that info! Now I can sneak away from here and go make my cookie dough for the dogs. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a St. Bernard, wondering where her cookies are?! Even when she is happy, she still looks so darn sad!

Sentencing won't be until early next year, but he'll probably get his bail revoked and will be held in custody until sentencing.

I really hope he doesn't get to remain free on bond after pleading for just one more Christmas with his kids.

Just going from what I've read, it seems this judge doesn't have much use for him or the defense so hopefully it will be go directly go jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.  Hope he came prepared with a fresh pair of undies and a toothbrush!

I'd be surprised to see a judge prepared to face the outcry for allowing a felon convicted of CSAM the opportunity to "spend just one more Christmas with his children."

I don't believe for one second clean undies and a toothbrush are part of Josh's regular life.

I don't think even with an ankle monitor a judge would allow a convicted CSAM offender who has access to numerous private planes and a family of pilots. His risk of flight is exponentially higher than when he was awaiting trial--and I'm almost positive the judge knows that his family would help him run.

One of the things I learned when I started working in the inner city is, convicts wear jail/prison issued undies. And apparently they have only two sizes - extra large and large. The part I'm unsure of is - I was told all the undies go in the wash and you get back what you get back. No names or cells assigned to the undies. I couldn't bring myself to ask if it was true, because I didn't want to know if the answer was yes.

The jury also requested a calendar from May 2019 to the present. The request was denied by the judge due to the deliberation only being allowed over evidence submitted during the trial.

What do you think the calendar request was about? Because couldn't they have also requested the timeline put together by the prosecution since that was presented in court?

Update from KNWA in Fayetteville:

UPDATE 3:23 p.m.: Shortly after 2:20 p.m. the jury asked to listen to the April 2021 interview of Duggar again. The interview was played for the jury in the courtroom. All three parts of the interview were conducted during the search warrant execution by Homeland Security Investigation agents at Wholesale Motorcars.

The jury also requested a calendar from May 2019 to the present. The request was denied by the judge due to the deliberation only being allowed over evidence submitted during the trial.

Jury taking this seriously.    Boy I hope we get a verdict today.

Was this the interview where he asked “is this about child porn? And/or I’m not saying I’m not guilty”

Maybe they wanted to know the actual days of the week?

Some people are visual, they probably thought if they had a blank calendar to write it out that would be easier, but they’ll make do. They’ll have writing instruments (or they should, both juries I say on we had pens and paper and a white board) I feel like they just want to lay it all out. There might be on or two that need to “see” it before they can say, yep it was him.

Just had confirmation from an attorney who has followed the paper trail on this case that CPS did indeed attempt to interview the kids, but both Smuganna declined. They basically said it was because they didn't trust the agency.

eta The attorney went on to say that if Smuggar is convicted, Anna has no choice. CPS will interview the kids.

Another reason to find him guilty.

He couldn't even get a color matching one. Well I  guess you really don't have a choice if you buy used and save the difference.

He'd have to keep replacing them as his own hair will be getting more salt than pepper fairly steadily. The used ones are probably not coming available quickly enough.

It's likely getting greyer by the day this week.

Years ago at work, we had a patron come in who was so obviously wearing a woman's badly made wig that he had cut to fit his head. It looked God awful. I saw him about a week later with his wife and a restaurant. Still the same ugly wig, but his wife was quite attractive and put together.

Or he brought a pricey wig with youngish color before the whole Josh thing started to unravel. And since the Homeland Security raid, his natural mop has gone gray at a fast clip.

Does comb-in dye come in gray? 😁
