  1. My gosh I am so upset about this. I read the news last night before bed and I had trouble sleeping. I'm just devastated for Janelle and all those kids. And poor sweet Gabe, who'll just never be the same. I don't know if this will be something that shakes up Kody and sends him on a life-long path of making amends to his children, or further splits the family, but I do wish them all the peace that they can find
  2. I'm just catching up on the Browns after a few years out of the loop, would anyone be willing to give me a quick rundown on what the older kids are up to these days? I know some are quite active on social media but some aren't, and there are so many of them 😅
  3. You know Janelle and Christine had a real good laugh about Robyn's nanny potentially exposing everyone 🤣 talk about irony indeed. I bet getting that phone call and hearing Kody admit his household was the breach was the most satisfaction they've ever had from him! Also loved Kody crouching in the garage filming himself amongst the boxes of his "books"... even he was surprised he had so many 🤣 I like how he said "I came by again and there are more!! I guess I'll have to talk to her about it." Imagine Christine waiting for weeks for him to get the hint lol
  4. This family... oh boy. Robyn sure has some balls to sit there sniveling about "being in mourning" about the family culture to Janelle who is literally mourning her mother. Girl, get a grip!! And Kody... where to begin. Felt so terrible for Gabe. Kody never thought twice about his "I'll be the only one going back and forth" edict and how it might impact other family members. He seemed genuinely confused about Gabe saying it was important for him to see Christine! Never crossed his mind, and that's very telling. And the emotional maturity of that man compared to his son... I hope he's embarrassed watching this back. Perversely excited to see some of these chickens really come home to roost next episode, with the boxes in the garage. These are the wheels you set in motion with your attitude, buddy.
  5. It's not the Weird Al in general. Jeremy and anyone else are free to enjoy! But Jeremy posting a video mocking the Amish, fellow devote Christians to him, is extremely hypocritical, rude, and just cringe. He's supposed to be a man of God, his behavior constantly shows he's not actually, and we comment on it 🤷‍♀️
  6. I'm not surprised no one else is calling him... even if they wanted to he only gets 1 hour of time per day and Anna is probably booking it all up 🙄
  7. Wasn't someone in the family comparing Josh's "situation" to the apostle Paul being unfairly imprisoned? I'm sure whatever they told the kids is something like that, relating it to bible stories about God sending tests to make us stronger, people being persecuted for their faith etc etc I don't think Anna would ever tell the kids that Daddy did something bad or that satan corrupted him or whatever, she'll make him a martyr and a hero... whether she actually believes that herself, I go back and forth.
  8. I dunno, all this "kid slipped outside unnoticed, could happen to anyone" narrative is still suspect to me. As many have said, yeah kids sometimes DO pull a runner in a few seconds, and it's scary but not uncommon. But if it's true that the child (less than 2 years old) was significantly far from home for a significant amount of time, that's different, ESPECIALLY if it was unnoticed by her caregiver. Like, if the police showed up to the TTH with baby in tow and found everyone frantically looking for her, that's one thing. But if they knocked on the door asking if someone was missing a kid and the answer was "uh, hmm, lemme check", that rises to the level of true negligence to me, not an understandable accident. And more likely to receive charges I would guess. I do hope we get a fuller picture of the incident at some point.
  9. Crimes involving minor children often have the court documents sealed, so it can be tricky to get verifiable details unless someone makes a statement. Publications are just getting any scrap they can at this point.
  10. I'm wonder if this is a misinterpretation of Jana initially denying being in charge of the kids? Not "I don't know her," but "I wasn't the one watching her". Which doesn't really help her case if she was supposed to be watching them, of course 🤔 But maybe the house is so chaotic that she didn't actually realize she was supposed to be in charge of the M's and she didn't want to make Anna's life worse, since she'd be under more scrutiny at the moment
  11. wow, very interested to hear the full story here with Jana! I'm sure this is just going to further the Duggar's persecution complex. Like if the infraction is something minor (or something they consider minor, anyway), they can be like "see, They have it out for us!!!!". yikes.
  12. omg YES! So happy and relived I'll be celebrating with lunch!
  13. The jury I was on was for a rape/murder trial. It was a re-trial and very lengthy (we sat for almost 3 months!!). We were sequestered for deliberation and spent 3 nights in a hotel/4 days deliberating. We all took it very seriously, but did have one holdout. I think we could have been done much sooner without her, but it did make us all very very sure we were doing the right thing, which I do appreciate in retrospect, as we found the defendant guilty. I wouldn't read too much into how long this jury takes, it's a technical case and I'm sure they want to make sure they understand it all. I'm feeling for them, and of course wishing for the best outcome!!
  14. My (perhaps generous) reading on Derick is that he's there because he really does want the truth. He's the one least likely to buy JB's and Josh's bullshit. He'll want to make up his own mind based on evidence. Plus, he's obviously interested in the law, and observing a trial is probably engaging enough on it's own for him. But I think at the end of the day, he does just want to have an informed opinion on Josh and his guilt.
