Wasn't it Winnie the Pooh and honey pot?

I realize Evangeline is still pretty young, but I hope she doesn't have to be cast in the role of her sister's accessory her entire life... Seriously, a honey pot and a marmalade jar? There are so many cute duo costumes where she could get equal billing with Felicity, so to speak. Or at least be a sidekick instead of an inanimate object. Pooh and Piglet would've been adorable.

Those BISAC codes are from someone at Harper Collins attempting to sell this book as something other than a religious memoir.  When I check to see what the major library wholesaler has this book listed as, it says religious memoir with a side of tv personality memoir.  The Dewey Decimal call number is 248 and that is where this book will land in almost all libraries.

I do get what HC is trying to do here.  The biggest memoir this year is Jennette McCurdy's I'm Glad My Mom Died.  They want to cash in on that even if the blurb flat out tells you that Jinger is not writing a tell-all condemning her parents.  For me the most infuriating part of this book is the hardcover price of $29.99.

"... living under the tenants of Bill Gothard ..."?  Who wrote that?

Maybe that's the explanation for their mysterious LA living arrangement? Gothard's tenants are paying!

Publishing companies never allow the actual "writers" of the book to do the synopsis or overview of the book.  Anything that's printed on the dust jacket, the inside cover or in marketing materials is always done by the editorial staff.

No matter how abysmal and incorrect Jinger's writing or grammar is, she isn't responsible for that spelling error.  Totally the publisher's gaffe.

She did have a plate:

Jinger appears to have a very small plate of tortilla chips while Jeremy has a grease-coated serving of at least three tacos.  I get heartburn just looking at what Jeremy is about to shove into his maw on this "late-night taco run."  Hope he was up half the night belching, but I also hope Jinger had more to eat than what was shown on her plate.

Yes, Jeremy better enjoy those "late-night taco runs" while he can.  I remember having to end those runs-no Mexican food after supper, and later on no Mexican food after lunch.

Blatantly defying her father's rules.. As a 28 year old, I'd call it being an adult and doing what she wants.

Yes.   Added to that the fact that  in the Duggar’s religion, the husband sets the rules.  Not the father of the wife.

Both Jeremy and Jinger are promoting the book in Insta. So far I have only seen Amy post support for her.  I am curious if any of her siblings will say anything.  Curious about what is happening at the big house right now.

I did see Sierra did post support too. Was she ever ILBP?

She speaks of religion made by men. What does she think Johnny Mac's church is?

She's rejected her former patriarchal brainwashing for a new brand of equally patriarchal brainwashing (which comes with a guarantee that IT'S the CORRECT FORM! -- i.e., the one that God himself invvented.....just like Gothard's did, of course.)

According to JM, everything he and pastors trained correcly say (i.e., pastors he's trained, mostly) comes DIRECTLY through their mouths FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD HIMSELF, who pours his exact words into their brains so they can talk them.

Not even kidding. That's exactly what he teaches. And it's the reason why women aren't allowed to have any instructional roles in his seminary, even to teach something as apparently God's-mouth-not-directly-needed subjects like Greek grammar or something.

According to JM, the God of his bible made it completely clear that he only speaks through properly trained MEN. And therefore it's wrong to allow men who are being trained to be God's ventriloquist dummies to have any educaitonal input from any of these God-said-they're-by-nature-unqualitied females. (I guess the fact that a woman was "instructing" them in some way would confuse them about who God meant to be wholly and entirely in charge?)

Anyway.....As if a God of the entire universe who was worth anything would make up this crap any more than he'd make up Gothard's crap.

But Jer Vuolo says this came straight from God so I guess JIngle has left JB and cleft (cleaved? cloven?)..

It's sickening that she's been used as a ventroquilist's dummy not for one awful group of these misogynists but for two different ones.....And somehow she thinks she/s some kind of book author and has something to look smug and dreamy about....

.I hope something alerts her daughters to the facts at some point in their lives....But they're definitely starting out with obstacles to having any autonomy

I did watch. She makes it clear it is not a tell all about her family.  She certainly is throwing IBLP and Gothard under the bus.

I look forward to reading the reader reviews.  If they’re favorable, I may borrow an ebook from a public library.  I wonder if JB will now treat Jinger like he’s treated Jill?

He still has five minors under his roof. My guess is he shuns her, but Michelle remains on speaking terms, much like Jill.
