I'm still wondering how their "house hunting" trip to Ohio fits into the Rods' situation. If Nurie's marrying into the Wallers, Kellers you'd think they would be looking at a place in Florida near the Wallers Kellers. It's all very odd. But then, this is JillR, so . . .

Only close to an in though. No other Keller, beside Priscilla, has anything to do with the Duggars. And that's because David is best friends with Josh.

Its going to be a hungry wedding. Jill will probably cook 2 pounds of pasta for all. And maybe hotdogs in wonder bread instead of buns.

Nope. She's the only one who is a Duggar now. As I said that did not bring the rest of her family into the fold, so I don't see it bringing in Nathan and Nuri in either.

Kellers.  I've seen a couple other people get the wrong family.  David Waller married a Keller daughter Priscilla sister to Nathan.

I doubt Jill cares about the thousand guests she hopes will show up, but she's not going to leave the Duggars hungry. This wedding is Jill's opportunity to show she belongs with the fundie elite. This will be her biggest grift ever!

FINALLY!! What Pimp Momma Jill has been working for for years and years, a chance to be close to fundie royalty!!!

Congrats to Nurie and Nathan, but we all know the truth that it's really Jill's special day. I think she will wear her tiara (because seriously she has EARNED it) some lovely Dollar Tree makeup and her biggest, baddest pageant hair to outcrown poor Nurie.

I'm too overcome with excitement from the prospect of this whole affair to think of anything else....well maybe except that TFDW will now be her brother in law. Perhaps he will gift his talents to become the wedding planner vs leaving it up to Jill.

Well, my prediction was off.  When the Nurie courtship was announced, I was thinking an early October engagement and a Christmas wedding.  Since it’s already November, I’ll revise it to a Valentine’s Day wedding.  Seven weeks would likely not be enough time for Jill to grift what she needs for the wedding, plus a Valentine themed wedding, complete with hearts, doilies and Pepto-Bismol pink would be right up Jill’s alley.

I’m surprised to see the happy couple holding hands in honor of the engagement.  Who knows where such contact might lead?  I thought for sure there would be a no touch engagement so that Jill could brag about Nurie and Nathan being the godliest couple ever.

It's also because David Waller was working for IBLP.  For example, he's supposedly a ghost writer of the Duggar girls' book.

The Kellers were featured more prominently on 19 Kids & Counting before the scandals got out and Josh and Anna were the only married couple. Also a lot of the Keller children are no longer fundie so that puts them out with the Duggars.  Of the 6 oldest, three of them (Esther, Priscilla and Anna) are still fundie while three of them (Rebekah, Daniel, Susanna) are secular. The youngest two Kellers are boys  and the parents have been doing their best to make sure they stay fundie. Nathan is one of the two youngest. 

Priscilla and Anna seem like best friends as well.

They don't have to be brought into the fold for Jill to still brag & talk about how she's related to the Duggars (by marriage).  No one else has to acknowledge the connection for Jill to think & feel more important because she's technically now a Duggar (in her mind).

i feel for the other kids with nurie leaving. It must be hard for the little kids and older girls to have an important caretaker gone.

I've not heard the other Rod kids talk, but she and Tim both sounded a bit odd to me when I've heard them speak. I kind of wondered if if was how isolated they grew up from other kids? I've met some really isolated homeschoolers who had weird intonations. Not quite like theirs but still it makes me wonder.

Not once does she mention her child's name in that entire post. Sierra emphasizes her pleasure in being the one who is able to comfort her baby, not that the baby is comfortable. All that emphasizing and then the next picture is her son sound asleep in the hospital bed. 

Seven kids later and it's still all about the sacrificing mommy.

I think it's their extreme isolation, yes. They feed off each other and become caricatures of their own selves.

I always feel bad for the younger Duggars and Bateses when an older sibling, particularly a sister mom, gets married. It has to be as traumatic as a parent moving out, but they don't seem to recognize that when they preach about the evils of divorce and what that does to a child.

If she did have a speech impediment, it would never have been diagnosed and treated since Mama does all the schoolin' and the kids have very little contact with anyone outside the family.  As others have noted, Tim speaks oddly, too, and it is probably a combination of their isolated upbringing and  nerves from being taped.

I expect Jill to announce any day that Nurie has either begged Mama and Chubby Hubby to renew their vows alongside her and Nathan or she has tearfully implored Mama to be her matron of honor because she is just her bestest friend in the whole wide world.  And, I fully expect Jill to be dressed totally over the top and inappropriately for the wedding to draw attention to herself.   She'll either find a wedding gown that is bigger and pouffier than Nurie's, or she'll go the Southern belle route, complete with parasol covered with flowers.

Well, the baby is obviously much too young to care about Get Well cards, but his illness isn't about him, is it?  And people can reply online to her sending good wishes, but good wishes won't pay for anyChik-Fil-A will they? Sierra is undoubtedly fishing for mail for herself, praising her for her selfless Mommy Martyrdom as though she is the first parent ever to go through this.  And, of course, she is also hoping for gift cards and cash.  I expect we'll be seeing a post in a day or two lamenting the tremendous expenses they've incurred and wondering how they will ever be able to pay the bills.  She keeps mentioning the PO box because SHE wants mail, preferably stuffed with  $$$$$.
