S11.E15: The Dinner Party from Hell: Part Two

Kyle misses the point: she never knew Erika to be a liar but Erika misrepresented her life and her marriage for years while on the show.   How is this lost on her?  Is Kyle misrepresenting her marriage too?  Is that what makes it ok? Just asking....

Erika used the show to spread her “story” then flipped out when the girls dare question her. Surely she realizes she’s not in an echo chamber and there’s also the internet now? Someone was bound to have an independent thought about that bullshit head injury/car accident/cheating/verbally abusive/Alzheimer’s excuse for the divorce. He ran out of money, he was facing federal charges, you left, we get it. 

If she wanted to have her privacy and save her job, she should have taken this season off and spared us all this sordidness (I’m sooo glad we didn’t miss this pretty mess of a dumpster fire!). On a positive note, she’ll be fired so at least their victims will have that. 

Also, Dorit may have zero style but who else thought those wedding dresses were absolutely gorgeous!? The last one with the shoulder cut out was STUNNING!

I don't know about that but Rinna's lips aren't continuously pumped.  Years ago she told Andy that it's an actual implant.  Permanent.  No maintenance required.

If you're interested and have Peacock TV, I believe they offer all episodes and all seasons.  

The early seasons are fabulous.  

I'm about halfway through Season One, and I have lots of thoughts. 😂

I'll keep tuning in to the latest season if only for Garcelle, and to a lesser extent, Kathy.

I recall Lisa acknowledging years ago her lips were too big but said she had an implant and to have it removed would look worse.  It had been in so long that I guess the skin/lip had stretched out or something.  It was just something she did and there was no going back.  To hear her explain it at the time it made sense ie. she chose to do something to her body that was basically irreversible.

Harry Hamlin's got to be going crazy these days, not being able to run back & forth to Canada like before (borders very Covid-sealed).  Just what was he doing up there all that time anyway?

Erika's pitbull snarl (apologies to pitfall owners, the dogs are much nicer than the beast that was on my screen last week) was really something.  Her gritted teeth, snarly sneer, was worse than just about any anger I've seen in anyone in my life.  If cameras hadn't been on, I bet it would have been much worse.  She has this anger expression method that doesn't even require her to raise her voice.  It's this deadpan-flat, verbal sneer that's scarier than anything.  Sutton was visibly shaken.  Rewatch it.  Wow.

I just realized my vintage Avon Cape Cod Collection could pass for Kathy's table settings.

At a distance.

With poor eyesight.  

But close enough for my budget.

He was just up there with Lisa at some cottage ;) Canada opened the border to vaccinated Americans August 9th.

I was re-watching the first season of Veronica Mars with one of my kids this week.  Her lips look fantastic now in comparison to the way they were back around 15-16 years ago! They used to look like old timey wax candy lips that had melted and warped from being left in the heat too long.

Well, before, he was taking a pup tent up there to camp out. By himself. And maybe some survivalist-type food, too, don’t remember. One of the girls just posted an Insta pic of Lisa and Harry in their birthday suits in a hot tub…don’t know if that was in Canada or BH. That’s all I’ll say about that.

Somebody just needs to laugh in Erika’s face. I know I sound like a broken record, but this is pure bullying crap. She’s resorting to this since the running-out-of-the-room-in-tears-and-sobbing-in-the-bathroom tactic doesn’t work anymore. Somebody needs to clue her in that this is NOT the way to gain sympathy, especially among us “dumb bitches” (her words, in a tweet) who are tired of her ass.

This is what infuriates me. The amount of food at most of these get-togethers that is prepared only to be thrown away could probably feed a couple of families. I used to volunteer/work at a homeless shelter, and we often got leftovers from wedding receptions, graduation parties, etc., that we were thrilled to get. This was VERY good food. 

Rinna’s energy? From her Baggie full of pills, maybe?
 

Edited to add: If I could ask one question at the reunion, it would be about what happens to the food.

She had silicone injected into her upper lip in 1986.  She had  some of that removed and her lip reshaped in 2010. It was documented on her short-lived series Harry Loves Lisa.  Here's the People magazine article.  I don't know if the implant she mentioned is supposed to be the old silicone one or if she actually got a new fuller one.

Thank you for this! I vaguely remember a surgery on her own show but couldn’t remember if it was an implant or if like many playmates of the era had the permanent filler that requires cutting out.

I have dipped into some other series like Golden Girls. Hulu also runs a lot of programming the next day so if you don't have basic cable or a DVR you can watch the stuff without ads.

It's quite lovely and makes a beautiful holiday setting.  I keep it displayed on an antique hutch otherwise.

I don't think the reunion has yet been filmed. 

Reunions are usually filmed a couple of weeks before the last episode.

IslandBoy has a crush on Sutton & Garcelle. (I love them too & am secretly relieved they've replaced Potomac Giselle as his hall pass person🙄 ). Not too sure how I feel about Crystal, other than she's beautiful. I can't believe her Sutton beef supersedes common moral decency. Crystal & Kathy Hilton seem close. 

I wonder what Erika whispered in Sutton's ear that Sutton said was too vile to repeat. I hope she reveals it at the reunion...
