How boring was this episode?  So boring I became utterly obsessed with Gizelle's chin.  Can they do chin liposction? I kept wondering.

Mia is a baaaaaaad mother.  Maybe on Joshua's third stint in rehab when she's at that family therapy session, she'll realize, Huh.  Maybe I should have spent some one-on-one time with him when he was a kid.

Is Michael laundering money?  Because I feel like movie production and real estate are kinda the purview of money launderers.  

I had to LOL at Ashley and Michael trying to convince me they are hot and bothered for each other.  Michael shouldn't act in any of his "movies" as he was looking directly at the camera.   The two of them hug with all the passion of my nephew hugging me while he is watching that cartoon about the monster truck and his friends.  

He is so creepy, he is 100% going to have some sort of "casting couch" "I have a special movie role for you Juan" situation going.  

I also had to LOL at Ashley pretending like she has any say in what Michael does with his money.  Girl.  Girl.  GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL that man is just as likely doing this to hide money from you in the event of a divorce.

Good to see the show showing Gizelle and Robyn getting their podcast started.  If it could be Former Cast Mate's storyline, it can be theirs, too.

Not sure if Karen should be calling anyone out on wearing fake designer when she wears ENDI instead of FENDI.

Did Giz say she sent the teen to a driving school where they teach the "book" part? Does the teen even want to drive ? Has Giz taken the time to see it is lack of knowledge or test anxiety ? 

{PS : I am not saying that every time a child fails a test , to do a 3rd degree on the parent. But since we are talking about Giz - I really need to know more - ??s she should have asked herself by now , before embarrassing the teen on national tv}

And let's face it . they can re-word a question on that that test that can make it tricky, or the test taker "thinks too much". 

for example: "When must you stop if you see a school bus on a road with 2 lanes traveling in opposite directions? "  (click here for answer )

I agree.  I thought Karen had told her to get to know the other women.  I think if it was my friend and she had given me that directive I would have TOLD her I was going to the outing just to get to know them.  

Karen is in a good position.  If Mia is going to get into beef with Wendy, Robyn AND Gizelle, that kinda only leaves Karen and Ashley.  Ashley is messy and will run and tell mia's business with a quickness, so that probably won't last.  Candiace probably isn't going to want to mix it up with Gizelle, Wendy and Robyn since they are friends.  

So, that means Karen will have a warm body to throw in front of the bullets.

Back in the Paleozoic age, when I took my permit test if you failed three times you had to wait a year before you could take it again.  

If Grace can take it as often as she wants she is going to pass just fine.  

There was a "study guide" I got my hands on, which was basically old exam questions that they recycled after changing a word or two.  The actual book wasn't the best

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head and it perfectly explains Wendy’s dislike of Mia. Mia stole Wendy’s thunder at her reveal party by being an over the top oversharer. Add to it that Mia has a strong physical presence (tall like Wendy but more voluptuous) and that seems to be all Wendy needed to fuel her dislike. Although in retrospect it’s not surprising that Wendy is extremely insecure - she spent all last season reminding us of her academic credentials. Only an insecure person would find a need to do that repeatedly.

While I can understand Gizelle's daughter being really embarrassed, I also am really glad they still included it.  I thought it was a really real and really cute scene.  I didn't think the twins were mocking her at all - I thought they were genuinely supportive when she went in, and I think they kept thinking it was a joke (I sure did).  I think even after they started to suspect it wasn't a joke, it was still more nervous laughter.  I'm an inappropriate laugher, so I get it.  All four of them, but especially the three girls, really do feel like a team to me.

Mia is embarrassing herself playing with her The Joint Lego Set.  I don't care if she splits her parenting duties, or even if G does more.  But if she's breaking promises to her kid so she can feel important moving pamphlets, she needs to reassess.

During Michael and Ashley's dinner, all I could focus on was how bad the service was.  The server reached across Michael more than once, and when he brought out their dishes, he didn't bring individual plates for them as well.

But let me tell you, if I had my own My Business is Important Lego Set, I would hire Ashley in a heartbeat.  Not only is she reality gold in that she is willing to just put it all out there and also be as messy as needed, she's also a damn good employee.  Say what you will about her, she has drug her giant-ass belly to every single event except the one she wasn't invited to.  She is earning the hell out of her Bravo paycheck, season after season.

Also, which Lego Boss made Karen's kid a Lego Executive?  C'mon.  Their relationship seems to truly work for them, but fuuuuuuck, I find it strange the way they interact.

I think she looks amazing.   But I would agree that it's becoming a bit much with the Victoria Secret "my man just got in town" lingerie collection at the pajama party.  

I'm hoping that she gets used to her new body and dresses normally.  Maybe a turtleneck at some point. LOL.

It's not lipo - they take a wire, run it around your ears, under your chin, like a chinstrap and pull everything upwards. It all hangs off your ears and gets rid of the double chin, or chin/neck fat. I know someone who had it done and she loved the outcome.

We kinda saw shades of this with monqiue but she wasn't nearly as obnoxious about it as Mia is.  

Monqiue was tired of being "just" a mom and wife. Even though that's the life she signed up for.  

But I think monique really did try to start something of her own.  

I don't think mia has or had anything to do with the business.  She literally just wants to take credit for something she hasn't done and doesn't do.

This was a billion years ago, but in Maryland, if you failed the driving test twice, you had to wait 2 or 3 weeks (I failed once). Not sure past 3-I only know one person that got to 3. And while I happily admit to failing the permit/computer test ("computer"-see "License to Drive" with Corey Haim) in about 5 questions, I went home, got the study guide and actually read it, and passed the next day.

Yeah. I thought it was a real reaction.  I could totally see my kids doing that.  My kids are each other's supporters, but they also can break each other's balls like no other.  Gizelle looked back to one of the twins too, like "Uh oh." Methinks Grace is not always a great test-taker.

I want more for Ashley and it seems like her hustle spirit got broken when Michael fired her from the restaurant.  She's the only one who doesn't have anything outside of her household going on and I know her BRAVO check is probably going towards keeping a roof over Sheila's head and food in her belly.  Ashley is a hard worker and she's clever & intelligent and it's a shame to see her reduced to just Michael's accessory to keep a roof her over head.

Oh, sorry I wasn't clear. I was in California.  I was only thinking that, while no one likes to fail, it's not like grace has to wait an entire year to try again, like I would have had to if I had failed a third time.

I feel like food deserts are kinda played out. 

Not that they arent a problem, but it's had a spotlight and so there are several innovative solutions people are putting forward.  

I'm ALWAYS here for the drama but I appreciate when they shine a light on these issues and I liked hearing about it on RHOA

I think having two babies in a relatively short period of time plus time spent filming for the show is sufficient for the moment. At this point between the BRAVO paycheck and monetization of her social media, she is doing quite well since she has no living expenses. Gizelle, Robyn and Karen are supporting their families. I am not sure what Eddie brings in but it seems that they were just a standard two income family so any of her money is needed to actually support their family. Mia is married to a sugar daddy and I don't believe for one instance that she is actively managing any of those franchises. 

I am not completely sure of what Candiace's finances really are because I don't understand how her mother was that wealthy. As a doctor or psychologist you make a decent living to be sure but generally it is not the income of the mega-rich. Was there some additional funds coming in that funded a lavish life style because in the early seasons I had assumed that Candiace was a serious trust fund kid and the heiress to one of the black fortunes - from the way she explained her situation. Of course why was she working as a hostess in a restaurant? And who is now paying for her record production costs? I doubt whether the record is going to do well because she seems like a talented amateur and she is a bit old to be starting a pop career anyway. But in the era of digital streaming, you don't need a record company to back you because you don't have the high manufacturing costs and you don't need their distribution system. If you are talented and lucky you can connect with your fans on line and through touring. The irony is that the real money is in touring and ancillary merchandising and not sales of records anyway.

Mia closing her eyes when she said Gizelle had a good heart: that is basic body language for lying. Mia is a hooker who married well. She came on the show to promote her business. I give her 1 season. She is entertaining though, tripping up on her own lies. 

Gizelle is so tacky and HBIC mean girl and "can't keep a man"-- & I love every minute of it.

I appreciate Robyn showing the depressing effects of the pandemic. I mean, she was kind of lazy anyway. She's like Cynthia from RHoA--- beautiful  but a little bit boring. But, you can't have a show of all Type A personalities. Somebody has to be a little bit chill & put things in perspective.

Fireball drunk Candiace  standing on the table made me giggle.

Aw... Ashley kept it really real with her pregnancy. Michael was such a fake supporter, bringing her overnight bag into the restaurant. A fake Show Boat. He could have easily just left it in the car.

If you are talented and lucky you can connect with your fans on line and through touring. The irony is that the real money is in touring and ancillary merchandising and not sales of records anyway.

 

Candiace has her hair care line , Prima Hair Collection. A bundle costs anywhere from $80-$300, and her wigs are about $200. These are standard prices for REAL Brazilian and Peruvian hair. She has her pagent consulting firm, one of her former clients is on the current season of Big Brother. She's acted in about five different movies, including the one for BET last year. She's on Family Reunion,  is a Brand Ambassador for Curated Equal, has a podcast and has a new movie coming out later this year. She also co-owns a salon franchise with her mom, and of course her Bravo paycheck. Plus she is a real estate investor in Atlanta.

I believe she was working at the restaurant while she was an intern for the Obama administration. She said on her podcast it was an unpaid internship.

One last thing I tried to forget, in Karen's talking heads in the white outfit, I've been obsessed with how her boobs are kind of...not squished, but don't seem to fitting very well.  In this episode, I thought I saw Karen's areolas!  Are the tops of her areolas showing?? Now let me be clear, if that's the look she is going for, I withdraw any comments.  Karen wants to show her areolas on tv, fine.  But I feel like she's accidentally showing them.

That is downright budget for a brazilian human hair wig. Thanks for the heads up, I would have assumed a sky-high markup because she is "famous".

No problem. Her most expensive wig is around $600, but that's for a wig that's over 20 inches.

I swear I saw areolas too!!!  There's definitely some kind of shadow happening.  I just can't tell if it's how the fabric is laying or if it's what's behind it coming through 🤣🤣

I'm slightly old though.  And acknowledge that I'm not up on current fashion and beauty trends.  I know that rainbow/mermaid hair is a thing!  Maybe....I'm basing this on high school girls in a rural farming community.

I find Mia worse, because at least Wendy put in the work for those degrees. 

Mia is just taking credit for Gordon's success.  

I wonder if she is being this obnoxious on purpose so people talk about her.
