TexasGal January 2, 2021 Share January 2, 2021 Quote While Elizabeth struggles to keep her budding relationship under wraps, James finds himself at the center of the rumor mill. As the crew welcomes a group of experienced boat people, Izzy starts to feel under the weather. Ultimately, when a drunk charter guest crosses the line and defies Captain Lee, he is forced to lay down the law. Airdate: 01.04.2021 Link to comment

Sandy would have blamed Hannah even if Hannah were asleep or in the galley, while praising Malia for jumping in to make herself a further nuisance and spouting "maritime law." Regarding the charter, Lee seemed pretty resolute about telling the guests in general that their charter was over, and directing Eddie that they were going back to the dock. Whether that means he is going to actually kick them off the boat before their time is up, I don't know, but it does look like they don't have any water toys or beach picnics in their future. Hopefully they will blame Drunk Diving Delores and not the crew. 17 Link to comment

aghst January 5, 2021 Share January 5, 2021 Why are all the crew so bothered that Elizabeth and James may have hooked up? Bravo encourages this kind of thing. Izzy referenced James' j--- in the hot tub and didn't want to have them hookup in the bunk below hers. Ashling and Rachel were both disapproving, but why? James was flirting with everyone so maybe they liked the attention. When the guests were asking for several different things, it seemed like they might not go with whatever was scheduled, like riding horses on the beach or whatever. Shopping would not make for good TV and they probably wouldn't be able to take camera crew into the shops. That's why the charter agendas is probably controlled by production, so that they could film what they want, not leave it to the guests, in case the guests go where cameras can't go or they want to just relax on deck, not do anything but drink and eat. They can't have a normal dinner, it always has to be theme dinners or else it might get boring to show them dining and going "Ummm, so good" repeatedly. They also have to do food porn because standard food, without much presentation, wouldn't go over well on TV. These guests like the theatrics though, getting excited every time a champagne bottle was uncorked. They even requested to have them opened in their presence so they could see. There was these guests who kept sabering champagne bottles on another season of one of these BD shows. They were horrible guests too, but they must have loved them slicing the bottles off the champagnes with a big knife. 2 Link to comment

Seems the goal of some of these guests is to get as drunk as they can on this expensive vacation and just pass out. Doesn't sound like a great vacation to me. BusyOctober January 5, 2021 Share January 5, 2021 My guess is Capt Lee will fume and rant and rave, then have a sit down with everyone of the guests. He will give them some rules and the charter will continue. I would prefer the whole lot of them get their collective asses left on the dock, but that doesn’t make good tv. Rachel is a good chef, but her personality is annoying. Izzy complains too much, aside from being sick. Elizabeth is useless. She still hasn’t figured out her job after being told time and time again....keep the drinks flowing without having to ask the guests if they want anything. 10 Link to comment

I have to say boat people are the heaviest drinking group I have ever been around. They drank 24/7 while on their boat. After a full day of drinking they would do a midnight cruise drunk on their asses. In the morning they would get up and have Bloody Marys and start all over again. I tapped out half way through the first day. Crazy bunch of people. And this group didn't disappoint. As far as stopping her, there was no way to do that unless that person wanted to get wet. She would have taken them in with her. And all of the crew knew not to go against an angry captain Lee and assumed she did too. There was no warning when she decided to jump. And the lack of concern from the other boat people, especially the ones still at the dinner table, you could tell she does this A LOT. None of them were concerned even when they heard her hit the water. slaterain January 5, 2021 Share January 5, 2021 You could tell the drunk woman was an add-on and not a close friend by how much the other guests didn't give a single f--- about her. I will give her one thing - she was pretty skilled with the jetski! But back to the sloppy drunkenness - I am a strong swimmer and the last thing I would do if drunk is go swimming - especially in a dark ocean at night!!! Her crazy questions which her "friends" barely discouraged and everything - no one cared enough to help her. Just a random side comment to drink water and then a whole bunch of not my problem. I'm also surprised that they don't put a chain up or gate or something to block off the stairs to the stern platform at night. Re James not diving in and in no rush - he needed permission from the Capt to go in it seemed. I'm guessing there is a rule that states no swimming after dark that even the staff has to abide by. Francesca did try to stop her but wasn't able to quite reach her quick enough before she would have been pulled in too. What a mess. There does seem to be a lot of shade being thrown around about the hookup which is a bit obnoxious but you know is mostly producer driven with specific prompts. One of the crew summed it up well - was it Ashlynn? that Elizabeth is fully falling for him while James just had a little fun. This is not going to end well. Regarding Elizabeth and Francesca - While I think Francesca is a decent chief stew and totally back her on her frustrations. She doesn't seem to give specific criticism. Unless that is being edited out. Give her a list. Give her a time limit for a task. Give her some specific goals instead of just be better type stuff. I have yet to hear Francesca say to Elizabeth that you don't fully listen, I tell you X, and you take forever and miss stuff. On the galley talk ep Kate mentioned that she wouldn't have demoted Elizabeth but would have promoted Ashlynn - giving them both equal rank. so same results without the negativity of a demotion - which I completely agree with. I do think Elizabeth has ADD/ADHD which adds to the challenge so I would think she would do much better with lists and deadlines that will help focus her. 7 Link to comment

Exactly, Francesca told Elizabeth that the primary had requested that the master bedroom sheets be changed. We then saw Elizabeth change all the guest room sheets, Ashling was only involved because Elizabeth brought the sheets to her in laundry to wash. Elizabeth doesn't listen or has some issue that affects her comprehension. That's not on Francesca. In addition, her lackadaisical attitude directly impacts the guest experience. She lacks the necessary sense of urgency required in customer facing roles. That's likely why she's bounced around freelancing in yachting for almost five years and still has only one stripe. 2 15 Link to comment

lcarolynl January 5, 2021 Share January 5, 2021 (edited) These guests are boat people, AKA yachties. Yes, yachties drink a lot but Delores disobeyed a direct order from the captain. That is unfathomable to me. The last time I was invited on a friend’s boat we all got the “I am the CAPTAIN” speech”, perhaps he was concerned we’d just assume our regular goofy relationships would carry over to the sea. Delores was a sloppy, coarse, and vulgar drunk. Thinking she, of all people, was going to tattoo an un-tattooed person was embarrassing. If it was a joke it didn’t fly. She should have been seated as far from the captain as possible. And someone needs to be able to quiet her. “Shh, Delores, you’re talking too much.” The captain doesn’t need to captain the boat but should frolic naked with the guests? Who da fook does she think she’s dealing with? When she was on the swim platform looking into the water, her friend tried to entice her back with red wine. I mean, she didn’t seem like an ugly, mean drunk but she did seem like a coarse, vulgar, sloppy drunk. How about the other guest when the table learned Delores went into the drink, “Oh no, the captain won’t like us anymore!” Honey, he never liked you! I did like that they recognized how beautifully maintained the boat was. One noted the polished chrome and was grateful he didn’t have to polish it himself. I like the female primary’s cute dress she arrived in. Would love to buy and wear that myself! Edited January 5, 2021 by lcarolynl 6 Link to comment

AnnieBananie January 6, 2021 Share January 6, 2021 My problem with Francesca is that she ridicules more often or points out problems, rather than correcting them. For instance, last (?) episode when she noted how Elizabeth pours wine. She didn't correct Elizabeth - at least we didn't see it - but rather made snotty remarks about her technique. I feel that Bugsy and Kate certainly would have taught her how to hold the bottle properly, and not do so meanly. While I think Elizabeth is making a lot out of how Francesca is treating her, I do think there's something to her thought that there's a personal dislike there. Also: I love seeing Captain Lee get mad! Cut short that charter! 6 Link to comment
