What is wrong with Henry’s girl  friends ? Are they trying out for their own reality tv show ?

Henry is as boring as they get , but Christina is a pill . I agree with the poster that said they feel bad for both of them . Henry is a snooze fest and Christina seems like the type that doesn’t listen Or care about anything you say , she just talks right over you . There’s not gonna be anything between those two , except pillows to separate them .

Bennett’s mother is Deb Margolin...a playwright, performance artist, founder of the Split Britches Theater, recipient of an Obie and a professor of undergraduate Theater Studies Program at Yale. Big Time Stuff.
That explains the dramatic And odd toast to her son and stranger wife with an outpouring of skepticism and Befuddlement Of the situation she is celebrating.

Anyone else BesideS me and  Doctor Sigmund Freud find it interesting that Bennett is a mini me of his mom and Amelia a mini me of her mom?

Yes, Bennett and Amelia are quirky overload but I appreciate their giddy excitement for each other and you can feel their “fire”through the teevee screen.

Betcha Amelia wiggled out of that plaid green and blue flannel Jumpsuit before the Exiting camera crew clicked the door shut ...
Most likely she and Bennett flailed around like the wind sock Guy in front of the hot dog stand and cell phone store to top off a magical third meeting to exchange vows, a Cirque du Soleil wedding and blowout reception.

Benmelia warms a spot on my cold dark dead heart.

As for Olivia and Brett, I'm hoping against hope that somehow he softens up. This show never goes for subtle though, so I doubt they're going to do it this time.

I'm with you on that.  I've been hoping he's not the dick he showed everyone in the first episode.  He does OK with Olivia, but there's times he looks like he's just going through the motions and really isn't attracted to her.  That has me worried.  But he's said several times he thinks they are well matched.  On the previews for this season, it appears he walks out on her.  I don't know....that scene bothered me.  I thought about it and wondered if perhaps he could have been leaving temporarily because he might have been exposed to the virus.  For whatever reason, the show is painting him the villain pretty early on.  They usually don't do that.  Of course, you can see they are trying to create drama with Bennett on whether he will move if Amelia has to do her residency in a different town.  I'm not falling for it.....she would quit doctoring if it meant losing him.

I would be very surprised if Brett turns out to be another Luke or that guy from last season that constantly demanded they turn off the cameras.  He never gave that poor girl any chance.

Something about Olivia I find weird.  She kept thanking everyone for coming to the wedding.  She thanked Brett at least twice for going through the program with her.....so basically thanked him for marrying her.  She thanked his brothers for showing up, little knowing they would crawl over ground glass for an open bar and open mic.  I just thought it odd that you would thank your groom and his family.

Poor Olivia with her favorite fast food question ...such a turn off for anyone who actually cares what crap they put in their mouth. I can’t believe I’m going to put “Brett” and “classy” in the same sentence, and I’m sure it will never happen again, but his response to her question was quite classy. Way better than I would have snubbed her if she asked me that.

She comes across as a very low confidence and low self esteem girl to me...the constant thanking and apologizing are way over the top

I laughed when Christina's mom shut the door on her daughter's train and continued to walk ahead of her like she was the bride.  She acted like it was her day.

At least Christina did get flowers from Henry before the wedding.  She can quit complaining no man (other than grandfather) has bought her flowers.

I thought the flowers came with another gift that we didn’t see Christina open. I thought she’d linger over that a little since she made such a fuss over getting flowers from a man.

She said she wanted the nice guy who finishes last.   Just a nice guy.   I think that would have been Henry.  I don’t think she would judge him.  She would support and understand him IMO.  What a miss.

Henry's busybody entourage is all-female;  he chooses to marry a stranger rather than date someone via his friends' connections (no girlfriend relationship for "4-5 years"); he requires of said stranger bride "good hair and shoes" (what happened to "good personality"?); and he has difficulty looking others in the eye.

Maybe between the marriages of Henry/Christina and  Brett/Olivia, people are considering for Henry the wrong spouse! 😉

I never would have guessed that man was Henry’s father. He does seem to love his son a lot but I could feel Henry’s discomfort and I wouldn’t feel good about embarrassing one of my kids like that especially if they were the sensitive sort. He kinda made it about him and look at how hilarious I am. His accent was awesome though.

I think it would have been one thing for Henry's father to make that speech if Henry and Christina had known each for a long time so Christina knew what Henry was really like and that his father was just (hopefully) joking. But I thinks it's pretty thoughtless to make that speech making Henry look bad, even in a joking manner, when Christina knows nothing about Henry.

Henry said he is a medical recruiter. It would seem to me that job would require him talking to a lot of job candidates that he doesn't know. Yet Henry was barely able to look Christina in the eye or make any small talk. Although he is an introvert, I would think Henry would have learned to do those things through his job. Obviously, this is a much different situation, but still.

It's too early in the season to know for sure but I'm not impressed with Henry as a "nice guy", given the entourage he travels around with & his superficial concerns about his stranger wife. It will be interesting to see how he handles himself on the honeymoon. His friend(s) will probably have a room down the hall...

Most Guys never notice hair . I can come home with 5 inches chopped and my husband says it looks exactly the same . And the person having nice shoes ? He seemed so serious about it lol .

Karen is very composed and poised which makes her seem older than she is, since most 30 year old on reality tv are pretty immature for their ages.

Here is my theory... Henry is in love with Trishelle but has been completely friendzoned. Like many have said, she keeps him around as her backup +1 in all the string-along glory. The brunette friend who wanted to claw out Christina's eyes - I think she has a thing for Henry but he is still too infatuated by Trishelle to notice/care. Trishelle is who really wanted to be on the show and made sure Henry came along to the casting. Only he got picked! So of course Trishelle still wants to be on tv so she encourages him to do it. Brunette is still pissy - hence the rant on anyone who would do this show. And now Trishelle is using every opportunity to be on the show as the best friend - in all her drunken trashy glory.

Rather than a genuine nice guy, Henry just seems like a nerd who can't close.  That Trishelle woman (I had to look up who she is) called him boring, not too nice.  From what Google says, she's known for having a threesome in a hot tub so who knows what she considers boring.

Again, introverts shouldn't be allowed on the show.

All guys notice hair.  Guys immediately notice if a girl has a five head, an I-want-to-speak-to-your-manager cut, a shaved head, has extensions, weird colors, etc - if it's in any normal range or hasn't changed substantially, we don't mention it.  Cut off all your hair and your husband will notice, get an angry Karen cut and he'll notice...

I noticed a sizeable rock on Trishelle’s finger; a quick Google search tells me she’s married. I more got the vibe that the brunette had “he’s supposed to be paying attention to ME” intentions. Trishelle didn’t seem to care that much about Henry; she just seemed drunk. The brunette was the one who was talking shit about everything & saying she didn’t respect Christina or the marriage.

It's med school - she's a people doctor not a pet doctor. Someone above said she is going to do her residency in family practice. Residency match day is the third Friday in March. I don't know when this was filmed but it looked from the previews like she would find out where she matched after the wedding but during filming, so Bennett might have to move if he stays with her.

In the clip they showed, he shook his head no but I will bet that that was producer shenanigans and his response to a different question entirely.

I was a bit put off by the way they played up them having met before. The tone that Bennett used when he said, "Not the first time," did not evoke a visual of a casual conversation at a party or whatever. It almost sounded sinister, like they had hooked up before.  Then it turns out that the big "OMG I know him!" into a "Yeah, you explained credit cards to me," at a party. But of course, it's all about the shenanigans.

Yeah although I hope the "experts" gauged his willingness to relocate before matching him with a soon-to-be medical resident. She doesn't have a choice about moving - she needs to complete a residency and you get what you get, so she has to go where they send her.

Nah.  She’s a physician. Has to have serious side.  Definitely most nervous day of her life.  Giggly and nerves.  Going to be okay.

I've seen many, many physicians in training pass through our hospital. She is very early on in her training and has had no real independent responsibility for any patients yet. She has the "MD" degree but next comes the real thing. I've also seen a lot of young residents cowboy through things thinking because they had the degree, they were now invincible.  Nuh-uh.  Many of them panicked and froze when they really had to think on their feet. And many of them acted a lot like she does.

When Henry's scenes started, I thought, "yeah, he's the nicest looking one and seems sincere." But sadly, his awkwardness is beyond the pale. The producers sure aren't helping with zooming in on the awkward pauses and Christina's intermittent self-absorption and irritation.  I use closed captions and everytime they were on, the caption said "QUIRKY MUSIC." And on a truly petty note, Henry has yellow teeth.

Brett didn't have much airtime to expose more of his idiot self, except when he (a repeat from another episode I believe) mentioned that "most of the women I've slept with were strangers." Is this something we should applaud?

Speaking of strangers: every. single. person. on this show pronounces it "shtranger."  Why is that? We don't hear "shtop" or "shtory," do we?

I'm on the fence about Woody, "Mr. Life of the Party." Wasn't that also a description they used for Brandon last season? And we know how that turned out.  Woody has all the smooth lines: "I'll do what my Queen wants," etc. but I think he's a little too Mr. Smooth. As if he's dated lots of women and thinks he wrote the handbook on how to win over a woman.

I have hopes for Karen and Miles. He seems sincere, all-in and kind.

Loved the bridesmaids' dresses in Christina's wedding. Amelia's on the other hand... and come on, they really had to wear those lampshades on their head during the reception?

I own a small computer shop and a woman and a man came into the shop for repair. I talked to both of them but at some point she found it necessary to declare he's 'just a friend'. I don't want to have friends (regardless of sex) who say my relationship to them is just a friend. Saying we're not a couple this is my friend would be much better.

This should be an interesting couple to watch. Covid will be the main protagonist in this season.
