I'm guessing the video rights release signed by the show participants also includes all rights to use any still photos, or video footage in any way the producers want to. When the Army had Young and Rubican as the advertising agency for many years, right in the last year, they filmed commercials at my base. It was my moment of stardom, and I was in the background of the library scene, shelving a book (I was the only staff person that listened to the director, and didn't look at the camera the entire time). The waiver I signed was only one page, but tiny print, and they could use the photos, and footage any way they wanted to. It was my big chance. Then the Army fired the agency, and my footage is long gone. Edited July 14, 2020 by CrazyInAlabama 4 Link to comment

You also don't create a daily environment of intimidation for your son in law that scares him into not disagreeing with anything his wife says, lest tough guy daddy physically harms him. It's just trash behavior. Kalani's mother in the car should have kept her mouth shut and limited her comments to, "You two need to work this out in private, so knock it off or get out of the car." 100% this. CrazyInAlabama July 15, 2020 Share July 15, 2020 (edited) In your defense, some stores only give you the discount price if you buy the quantity for the deal. If you would have bought 5, the price might have been a lot more. Sometimes my favorite grocery store has buy 2 get 1 free deals, and if you only buy one, or don't want the free one, (sometimes I just don't need three, or have room for all of the number to get the deal), then the price is the regular price. I had to laugh at Pole's version of saving money. Pole's explanation of women's sanitary products was hysterical too. The Pillow Talk people when he talked about that was hysterical. Poor Karine probably had visions of a nice place to live and help with child care. I doubt Paul told her beforehand that that they were going to be on their own. I think Mother Paul is a wise kindhearted woman and will probably rescue Karine and the baby when her schmuck of a son can’t provide for them. I hope she buys them a plane ticket home to her family. Father Khalani needs to kick Asshuelo’s ass around the yard a few times for being so fucking disrespectful To his wife. Raise your hand if you think at least one of the coven will do or say something to thoroughly insult them. I loathe Tania with every fiber of my being. I almost don’t blame Singyn for drinking. Witch Doctor School/scammed vacation she was furious with him when he questioned her about being drunk every day. She’ll milk that broken foot for all it’s worth and beat him down all day, every day for not getting out there to start fulfilling her dreams. Who or what ever gave her the idea that she’s such a prize package? Colt , Jess and Debbie...vomit. What grown man brings mommy along on vacation to meet the girlfriend’s family? If it were any other person, I’d think it was production-driven drama. I really hope TLC doesn’t subject us to Colt and his flabtastic body in a Speedo but I know there’s no limit to the lengths they’ll go to “entertain” us. I can’t even comment on HugeAnge and Mahkul. I just had to go back and look because I didn't notice anything exceptional at first... That's an RX 300 from the late 90s, early 2000s, worth $2,000-$4,000 AT BEST, AT BEST, in very good condition. They are actually kind of rare-ish in the US now because they are a very favored "luxury" car in developing economies because they are basically Toyota Camrys that ride higher, thus parts for them are very readily available and cheap worldwide. They were really favored at the time by late-middle aged to older women, still are, so they tend to be relatively well maintained, comparatively speaking. It's actually a very reasonable choice by her if it is in good working order for an older "luxury" car, since, again, it's basically just a Toyota Camry. 3 4 Link to comment

We couldn't afford it when I was a kid. 9 hours ago, Dmarie019 said: Our income is very good now and I shop at both places. I'm neither old nor on a fixed income and I can say the same about most of my friends. I see no reason to pay more for certain things when I can get them for $1 elsewhere. A lot of parents do their back to school shopping at both places. In rural communities, especially, sometimes those are your only choices. To get to a shopping mall or department store here you have to drive for at least an hour-passing 4 Walmarts along the way. My county has one grocery store and 7 Dollar Generals. Hell, Dollar Tree crafting has become so popular that some of the Facebook groups have more than 20,000 members-and you'll find all ages, both genders, all income brackets, and all geographic locations. Walmart has eaten up Main Street and put most smaller stores in small towns out of business. People don't necessarily shop there because they can't afford anywhere else, they shop there for convience. Debbie, like the rest of us, probably goes because she can do her grocery shopping, buy her toilet paper, get a replacement belt for her vacuum cleaner, stock up on kitty litter, and pick up a new pair of shoes without having to get out of the car more than once.blockquote widgetblockquote widget Edited July 16, 2020 by mamadrama 5 Link to comment

If it were any other person, I’d think it was production-driven drama. I work with someone who decided his second wife would be Filipino, he visited her a couple of times and the last visit he took his mother to meet her, that sort of makes sense, after you have gotten to know someone and think it may be leading to marriage then sure, take mom along. I am sure they did not have a full on make out session in the taxi with mom as an audience. In case you are wondering, yes he is a doughy white boy who thinks he is what all women dream about. His wife is gorgeous, he definitely got his money's worth and she has her green card, win/win. 4 Link to comment

She picked him to lose her virginity with, but if that hadn't resulted in her getting knocked up, I highly doubt that they would be together today. And they just compounded things by getting pregnant a second time. Now she has two toddlers and a baby. Yikes. I think it is time for some tough love from the enabling parents. I don't know if Asuelu has any skills outside the bedroom. His English is not the greatest, but he should be able to find some kind of employment doing manual labour. I wonder what Lo does to be able to support these barnacles? And although I am sure it's not a picnic looking after two kids in diapers, Kalani seems unmotivated to do anything to earn money. They are both pretty useless and clearly had no plan on how to make this work before bringing him to the US. Tania and Syngin And speaking of no plan, Tania keeps talking about her plans, but what exactly are they? She is all talk - literally - it was nearly impossible for Syngin to complete a sentence without her cutting him off. She just doesn't want to hear what he has to say, and he is completely over her, this marriage, and evidently the USA. He does clearly seem to have a drinking issue judging by the way he looked to be chugging that wine (although that definitely could have been the editors fucking with us). They are both lazy ass dreamers, who, once again, made no advance planning for this to have any chance at success. Libby and Andrreiii. "You shut up" "No, you shut up". Nice. He is a chauvinistic jerk, but she pushes his buttons. There was no reason for her to stir up shit at the breakfast table. Just say thank you for going to all the trouble to make this lovely meal. But Andrei is not exactly a reliable translator, so who the hell knows what he would say to his mom? He is most definitely the biggest asshole in this scenario and unless this is all performance art (which I suspect) this relationship is a fail. And on a completely bitchy note, that poor little Eleanor is a bit on the homely side. I can't figure out who she resembles. Colt, Debbie and Jess. I do not like Jess one bit, although she and Colt do deserve one another. Yes, Debbie is an overbearing wolf, but I would have been absolutely turned off of Jess with her and Colt's behaviour in the van as well as her comments about wanting to have sex before they even got to the hotel. Then Debbie goes to lie down after an exhausting trip and Jess will.not.leave.her.alone. Colt had to pull her out of the damn room. That isn't how I would try to impress my boyfriend's mother. Three strikes, baby! Larissa is nothing more than a cartoon character at this point. Pole and Karine. I must say I was amused by the supermarket trip and his extensive knowledge of feminine hygiene products as well as his supervision of the diaper change. They both would have been better off in the birth control aisle. And what was on those sticks that his mouth was wrestling with during the meal with Mary? I do feel bad for Karine being in a foreign place with no language skills, no home, a useless partner and a baby to care for. I actually think Paul's heart is in the right place but for some reason life skills do not come naturally to him and as hard as he tries, he just can't figure it out, but to his credit, he did manage to get himself to the Amazon, albeit with a camera crew. Again, this move required advance planning. Grangela and Mykull. Does he have a job in Nigeria, and if so what does he do? At least he has good command of the English language - I shudder to think if he had to learn it from her. I would have killed him if he tried to chase me around with a dead rat, but I actually do believe that these two love each other. We shall see. If I remember correctly Michael did have a job but Angela made him quit it so that she can call him multiple times a day and basically control him from thousands of miles away. She supports him 1 Link to comment

Walmart seems to be akin to Disneyland for some people. I don't understand it. My cousin Jackie and I took a weekend trip to Reno several years back. I was excited about it and looking forward to the buffets, the slot machines, the free drinks, the whole experience. We got to the hotel room (off the main thoroughfare and dirt cheap) she had booked and she said we needed to get right to bed so we could get an early start. I had visions of a huge all-you-can eat breakfast buffet, but it turned out Reno had THREE Walmarts and she wanted to make a day of going to all three of them (even though we had one about 10 miles from where we lived). Buffets? Forget about it. She took us through the McDonald's drive through to get her usual two cheeseburger meal, then it was off to sit in the hotel room with her crocheting with the new yarn she purchased at one of the Walmarts. Oof. That was obviously the last trip I took with her (anywhere). As soon as Debbie mentioned Walmart and lit up like a Christmas tree, I yelled "OMG JACKIE!!!" at the screen. I really thought my cousin was just off her proverbial rocker with that Walmart fuckery, but apparently not. I hope Debbie drags Colt and Jess to every single Walmart in Brazil. 9 1 Link to comment

"In sickness and in health" are part of the marriage vows. ethalfrida July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 (edited) Asuelo is stuck for the time being. Too bad he wasn't mature enough to ward off Kalani. I feel bad for him, though. First of all, bullying and threatening someone is not the way to get them to comply. Wanting her father to beat him up is so immature and unnecessary. It grates my nerve to the point I fast forward through her parts. To think, she is more annoying than Tania to me. Asuelo should move to L.A. There is a huge community to support him, that is, if he is bound on staying (he can invite Syngyn). I defy anyone except the meekest among us to live happily with a person like her. Right or wrong, no one wants to live under the siege like the one she is constantly mounting against him. And for those who think Asuelo seems somewhat slow remember his English is not the best... Asuelo: I don't know Kalani: An unripe orange? Asuelo: You want to taste it? Child correctly declines Kalani and Asuelo both try green orange and are visibly disgusted by the taste because, it's a green orange. Kalani: Why did you tell me to eat that? Asuelo: It's help for your throat. Hopefully this orange makes me feel much better because now I'm annoyed. Asuelo continues to attempt multiple times to eat disgusting green orange while so visibly repulsed by the taste that he spits it out each time. Oh, and before anyone starts, Oranges are readily available in Samoa and in fact grown locally, I checked. Edited July 17, 2020 by John M 3 4 Link to comment
