That was my favorite part of that episode. Omgosh so funny.

Avery, what were you thinking? Get to the Airbnb, have a shower, a nice nap and then get to know Ash. It was kinda fast - maybe give it a few days of getting to actually know him.

Big Ed, I would think that Rose enjoyed the mani/pedi. She doesn't really have to share her entire life with you as a lot of none of your business.

Lisa, most 'celebrities' wouldn't have any interest in you. You don't have a sparkling personality, you are not funny or charming or entertaining. Clothes can easily be fixed to find something flattering and you can get a hairstyle and new makeup. The personality leaves a lot to be desired. Usman's director friend is there to make money from Usman's music. He knows what the audience wants and it is not you. You are a little too jealous over nothing and far too controlling.

Ash has been in the game a long time and knows exactly what he is doing. 

I think Avery envisioned a scene wherein ash was all hot and bothered and begging her to sleep with him.  She'd have the upper hand and feel secure in his affection and she'd be able to resist sleeping with him even though she is attracted to him.  

But I think the fact that he was respectful, not aloof, not distant, but was just like "okay" then the tables were turned and she didn't feel as confident and wanted to stake her claim. 

I could be wrong, but I feel like he is going to play her.  She wants to think she has the upper hand here but I think she is wayyyy more into him.

Watched the half hour preview and first, the studio is in a building marked toys/makeup/?? but not studio? Usuman is as much of a celeb as the chick who had her 5 mins on youtube with the Friday song. 

The director's reaction to meeting with BBL is priceless. He looked at Usuman like "you're punking me right?"  I so understand if Lisa was an older woman who looked like Selma Hyak, Helen Mirrien, Angela Bassett, etc. But to look like THAT?!?  

I wonder if the appeal of Usuman (besides his youth) is she thinks he's a celeb? I mean would she still be like this if Usuman was just a busboy?

They had a porter bring up their luggage, so she wasn't carrying anything at the check-in desk.  She was looking through a small suitcase later to look for something to sleep in, so she did bring some things with her.

Since I watch this franchise expecting to be frauded, I thought Ed's comment about meeting Rose on Facebook was like Jorge saying he met Anfisa on FB. It wasn't FB.

Even if it was FB, wanting an STI panel and pregnancy test before sex is still the right call. They made it look like Pole was demanding it from Karine while not taking one himself, and it angered him so much that he posted the results of his test to FB, showing he had it at the same time. He didn't show proof of his pregnancy test, though, and the nutcase probably had one of those, too. As long as Ed is taking the test also, waiting is the right call.

I love you spike but must respectfully disagree.  I don't like the overly shredded kinda roided out look of hypothetical Williams and I don't think his face is anything to write home about.  

Usmans teeth are a bit of a mess, but I think he is much better looking in the face.  He also has a very nice head shape and yes I know that is weird, but for some reason when he was showing Lisa the shower I saw his face/head in profile and it made all the difference.  

I also think Yolanda, while not perfect, is a lot better looking than Lisa.  She still shouldn't be shopping in those forever 21 type stores, but I had a friend who dropped a lot of weight later in life and you couldn't keep her out of that store.

Everyone has their types.  To me Usman is more attractive as well, but I bet if we took a poll more people would pick Williams.  But I am not attracted to Brad Pitt, George Clooney, or Tom Cruise (now or when they were younger), although I understand why many find them attractive.  I'm not attracted to too many celebrities (maybe because they're unattainable so what's the point) but I see people I find attractive when I'm out and about all the time.  They tend to be guys who have no idea they are attractive lol.

It's true and it's one of the reasons why so many want to come here. In the US you can be born into poverty yet still have the ability to more or less advance yourself. It doesn't mean you will be successful, but at least there are some opportunities. Good grades or excelling in sports might get you a college scholarship. Financial aid can help achieve a degree. Even getting a minimum wage job at the bottom of the ladder can improve your living conditions and it's theoretically possible for you to work your way up. We have many charities and other organizations that are geared towards helping at risk kids. Many of our assistance programs can help children get food, housing, and medical care. In some countries NONE of these things exist. HOW, exactly, is Rose and others like her meant to improve her livelihood? The conditions there, as well as in other countries, are so different. And as sad as it is, hitching herself to a foreign man  is one of the few ways that a woman there can get a better quality of life. Even a middle class man could potentially give her a warm house and good food. Access to an education for her son. As sad as it is, what Rose is doing IS improving her life; she's just doing it in a way that most of us don't have to. Many of these women aren't searching for riches-they simply want what many of us (even the poor ones) take for granted: opportunity.

I think so, too. In this day and age it makes sense to protect yourself. As long as he takes one as well, I have no issue with it.

That scene in the nail salon was cringe-worthy.  She doesn't want to take about her (probably horrendous) past.  He - understandably - wants to be safe.

It would have been better to say, "We are both adults and have been intimate with others.  Just as an assurance FOR EACH OTHER, let's BOTH do STD tests.  Then we'll know that we are free to be intimate without any concerns about either of us harming the other."

Testing for stds is good sense. Announcing to the world you will have your partner tested is demeaning. I notice most of the American men on this show are really assholes. All of the ones this season are.

I think the Americans who demand their beloved take an STD test are jerks. Taking a test should absolutely be a 2 way street.  And the 2 women we've seen subject to this request are both non-white. I just don't remember any of the people on this show requiring an STD test of their white potential partners.
