Since the contestant threads are already made, here's the tracker for S40.  Like @Whimsy did in making the threads (I saw what you did there....), I've listed the contestants in chronological order of their victory.  The link with a name goes to the start of their new thread for S40, and the other links lead to threads for each of their previous appearances.  Those are either a season thread, or a thread for just that person in that season, depending on what threads exist.  Winning seasons are listed next to the name, then any other seasons nested underneath in chronological order.

The War has begun.  Time to get tracking.  And from the looks of it, there's going to be a lot for me to track. 

The format may fluctuate a bit here at the start...as usual.  For now, I'll be putting a person's fire token balance on the same line as their name.  Except for the freshly booted that are struck out, since that's 0 by default.  Advantages in play will be nested underneath the name of the people that own them, as will their history.  Once an advantage is out of play, it will be moved to a new section for those (an advantage graveyard, if you will.)   And if any of the tribes manage to actually pool their tokens to purchase something off the menu, I'll note that purchase with the tribe name.

Apparently, the last tracker was slightly incorrect.  According to Denise, Adam returned his half of the idol to her before the last TC, so Denise had the whole thing at the time of the bag search.  That information is reflected on this edition of the tracker.  If/when we learn more about the Dakal idol Kim found, that information will also get changed here.

Also of note: what Natalie found and sold to Sarah was not the actual Steal-a-Vote, but a chance to steal it from the other tribe.  All that is also reflected in this tracker.  Which does mean the addition of the Advantage Graveyard section.

Final note: I've been under the assumption that the idol Sandra has works like the one Kellee got last season; meaning that the number of TCs it is good for are TCs that Sandra personally attends.  That's why I still have that listed as good for 2 more TCs, as Dakal has only attended the one TC since Sandra bought that idol.  However, there have been 3 total TCs since the purchase, so the idol could be expired.  I'm not going to change anything about said idol here until we get confirmation either way.

The editors are helping me out again.  They're adding in a player's token count to the chyrons in THs when the cast mention fire tokens.  This only came up twice in this episode; once for Natalie while she talked about the challenge (it showed her "before" count of 3), and once in a TH from Parvati where she mentioned she got the token from Ethan (display showed 2 tokens). 

A little bit of confirmation from the last tracker.  Sandra's idol is like Kellee's; valid for a certain number of TCs that the holder personally attends.

Things are starting to get a little long,

so I'm removing some redundant lines from certain entries.  Mainly sources for advantages still in play.  That information will get added back once said advantage hits the Graveyard.

Speaking of keeping things small and the Graveyard, I'm also starting to add the "spoiler shrinkers" for the history of advantages in there.  The first time an advantage goes in there, the full history will be on display (see the previous entry).  After that, the history will go under a spoiler tag to help save space.  (See below.)

With the traditional re-shuffling of tribes (and the semi-traditional addition of a third), it's time to re-introduce the Tribe Codes.  As a reminder, these (currently) 2-letter codes will be listed before each player's name, and show their tribal history in the game.  The first letter is the initial of their starting tribe, and the second letter is the initial of their current tribe.  Any potential future shuffles, except the merge itself, will add to these codes.

And since there is a new tribe, we'll start with them.

Double elimination means more movement on the Tracker.  Even moreso this time with all the advantages played.  And since idols were played, a reminder on the definitions I'm using in the statements about the idol plays in their histories.

  • A correct idol play is one that negates votes against the person who received the majority of the votes and would have been eliminated without said idol play. 
  • A successful idol play is one that does negate votes, even if only 1, against the person the idol is played for.  All correct idol plays are successful, but not all successful plays are correct.
  • And an incorrect idol play means that the idol did absolutely nothing and was most likely wasted.

AFAIK, played HIIs are re-hidden based on the current tribe affiliation of the person that played it.  Which in this case means Dakal.  Unless they're not going to re-hide it because Dakal's original HII is still in play in Kim's possession.

No news on which of those scenarios happened though  The biggest changes on the Tracker this week are (amusingly, in a grammatical way,) token changes.

The base color of the buff is black...again.  But the printed knotwork is gold, and so are the chyrons, which always match tribe colors (unless it's a generic "Day ##" marker).  So they're the first Gold tribe in Survivor history.

(They're not yellow, as the chyron tone is a little darker than what they typically use for yellow tribes.  And besides, an all-winner season with a doubled grand prize?  Gold is the most appropriate color.)

I'm not going to put Adam's attempted "idol" play on the Tracker.  Like he said, and Peachy agreed, it was worth the shot.  Besides, it's not like anyone's going to forget that move for a long time.

And I finally decided to keep Tyson's Edge activities listed under him in the main game, but spoilered for compression.  It makes the most sense to me that way.

And there's a new "advantage" added to the Tracker.  Its' rules are included un-spoilered for this first appearance, but will get compressed next week.  (At which point, I may add back in the rules for Jeremy's "advantage", in the same manner.)

With that, it's time to close the Tracker until the next season starts.  Hopefully, that next one will have less for me to track.  Or at least, be easier to keep track of.  I'm sure I missed on a few token purchases because they never got aired.  Or I got prices wrong, since we never saw the post-merge price lists at all, and barely got clear shots of the pre-merge ones.

But as usual, I close by asking for feedback.  If there are any changes or additions you would like to see in the next iteration of this thread (and I already have something in mind for next season; something I probably should have been doing all along really...), please let me know.  If I think I can reasonably incorporate the idea into the Tracker, I will at least attempt to do so.
