So true!  Also, when Max wanted to search for his birth mother, I was surprised by the honesty and authenticity of her reaction on camera.  She was honest.  In the end it all worked out because I do believe she is a great mother to Max.   Keeping that in mind, no one is perfect and I suppose you can find flaws with any parents as we are all human.

I don’t think Lisa is a bad mother, and as an adopted person myself, I appreciated her response to Max wanting to find out more about his biological parents. BUT, she has pointedly compared Pandora being a hard worker versus Max not being one, and chalking it up to possibly being because Max isn’t her biological child. It happened in an episode a few seasons ago. I think it was on this show, but it may have been on VPR. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty shitty comment on her part. My parents don’t have biological children, so I haven’t been in that situation, but I can only imagine that it would make me feel like a less important child than those who are genetically related to the same parents, and that would be mentally devastating, IMO.

Unrelated to the above, but the article about child support flashed on the screen about Charlie said that he pays $20k a month to Denise, not $55k. The higher amount he pays is/was to Brooke Mueller.

Great point, RHJunkie, and for me, it only further shows that Kyle's an operator. As you say, she'll defend someone, not because she believes them necessarily, but because she's got a narrative to support or an agenda to serve.  Kyle said she'd have blindly stuck up for Lisa "likes she (Lisa V) wants me to do". Have we ever seen Kyle blindly believe or stick up for Lisa?

It's even shady that she slips the "blindly" in there -- like Lisa couldn't possibly have something that was actually worth supporting -- gotta be just dumb loyalty. Sigh.

She's never blindly stuck up for Lisa and she shouldn't ever do so but it's exhausting seeing her try to defend her behaviour as being a good friend. As much as Lisa likes to embrace the role of the bullied, Kyle imagines behaviour that allows her to make herself a victim of Lisa's friendship. She constantly listens to all of the nasty things said about Lisa, she co-signs everything but also turns around and makes sure she says 'Lisa is my friend and I love her' as though that erases all of the negative shit she just co-signed about her friend. She's basically mad at Lisa for being mad with her for calling her a shitty person. If anyone who wants to see what Kyle's loyalty to looks like, don't look at her relationship with LVP or her relationship with her sisters...look at her relationship with Faye Resnick. She has defended everything that has come out of Faye's mouth. She has tried to brush aside Faye's past and she always looks deeply uncomfortable and unwilling to entertain negative comments about Faye. I don't know what Faye has on her that has illicited that degree of loyalty but that's what true loyalty looks like on Kyle Richards.

I know the conversation that you are referring to, but I also don't remember which show it was on.  I think, though, that the context wasn't so much a slight on Max or even saying that he wasn't a hard worker, but she was more making the point that the children were just very different and she was never sure if that was a factor of nature vs nurture.  If I remember correctly, Pandora went to college, worked her way up in the business and is pretty much in charge of the alcohol line.  Max, on the other hand, was going to music school when the show first started, but then maybe didn't finish? Then he was going to be a bus boy, but he wasn't doing so great with that (and LVP made the point then that Pandora had started at the bottom as well).  But he'd eventually gotten on track, and after doing better for a few years, that's when LVP bought him the condo, as he'd shown growth.

I took the conversation in the same vein as someone might have where they have 3 kids, all raised the same and 2 are similar but one is just a totally different personality type.  Maybe way more driven or maybe way more of a slacker, but like they came from a whole different family.  In LVP's case, though, since she only has 2 kids and she gave birth to one and adopted the other, I'd imagine you might wonder which traits were which.  And conversely, maybe did you make mistakes in parenting Max because you didn't realize at the time that he was so different in personality?

I always thought the moment where Kim gave back the bunny was a good illustration of Kyle's blind loyalty.  She and Rinna had been friends for years, I get that you are in a weird position between your friend saying shit about your sister, but, the bunny thing was just weird.  If my sibling planned to do something like that I'd have strongly encouraged them to not do it, because what's the point? There isn't anything to be gained by giving it back, just toss it and move on.  If someone mentions it at the reunion, be like Bunny? Oh, yeah that.  That was sweet of you, thanks.  Then move on like you'd forgotten all about it.

If they had persisted in doing it? Then I'd have said listen, I don't like everything that this person has said about you and I've told them they were wrong for it.  But, this isn't a cool thing to do, there was no purpose but to be mean and spiteful and if you really don't want anything to do with them, then why would you take a jab at them? This wasn't a good look for you.  And I'd say it on camera if I were in Kyle's shoes, because if Lisa were my friend, I think it's important to say, look, you have been a bitch, but this was also not cool for her to do.  But, nope, Kyle was giggling her ass off and trying to gnaw her hand off so it didn't show.

Didn't we learn in Boy George's Dorit's first season that Kyle and George were on The Apprentice together?  Not that this makes them bff's but she does know him outside this show.

More sobering is that Billy Idol looks every minute of 63.  Not surprising, given he lived the rockstar lifestyle.  I would fangirl the hell out of meeting Billy Idol too, but at least now I wouldn't be shocked at how he looks.

I thought he looked pretty good - but then I’m 60 and date 60+ men so it’s a low bar.

After all lisa r. Said about Kim, I'm going to ride or die for my sister. I dont care how long weve been friends because obvi lisa r didnt  care. I would have been like give her the bunny back if you want. However I wouldn't sit there eating my hand off like Kyle did.

Me too! Kyle is not looking too great this season, is she? Literally, lol... the hats, the teef, the clothes and the cap sleeves.

There may be a little bit of truth behind Kim and Big K not talking to her after her production endeavors about her life as a child. That series was bad, but I did like revisiting the 70’s. Maybe her birth order gave her some reprieve from what her siblings experienced.

Actually, she didn’t really bother me before, but she’s on my dislike list now. Thanks LVP for exposing her. YMMV.

Oh how I wish that was what she said, but I rewatched it- because I wanted to see that amazing moment.  I would have loved it if that had been what she said. Unfortunately, I did not see it.  What I saw was her saying, "It's all based on your (bleep)ing wife and you giving up your (bleep)ing dog."

LVP sure keeps the kids under her thumb though - has them working for her and even designed the interiors of the homes she bought for them, rather than allowing them that pleasure. She also made her son’s search for his birth mom all about her and her feelings. Looks like a pretty controlling mom.

True but only to the point of what we are allowed to see on "reality" tv which is not truly real. While I agree she is involved in their lives, they may have more autonomy than we have seen, and seeing how Mx's search for his birth mom affected LVP made sense since that's who viewers of RHoBH want to see, not Max.

I must be an ass because I totally get LVP'S sense of humor.  When Adrienne Maloof was coming out with a shoe line and LVP suggested the name "Maloof's Hoof", I loved it!  If I was starting a shoe collection and a friend of mine made that joke, I would have laughed along with my friend and it would have been forgotten. What's the big deal?   The joke seemed totally appropriate IMO, and no harm was done.  But, old Adrienne lost her shit and never saw the humor or the free publicity in Lisa's little joke.

Lisa joked about the Toms going to Mexico before opening the restaurant.   At least she got their names out in the public and reminded everyone those guys were still little rascals and up for fun.  I'm sure people are not heading to their bar because they think Tom and Tom  are astute business men...LOL!

Lisa is smart and she was gifted with being in 2 shows with some complete morons.  It's been almost too easy for her.   I hope she doesn't leave, I love watching the idiots try to keep up with her, it really does amuse me.  And all of their beauty procedures will not make them smarter, or more clever, and I think that's why they are jealous of LVP.

Rinna says she wishes she can get away with British humor. She and the others are just as guilty of British humor except in their case its called bitchy.

The reason people reject these texts as proof is because they are between John and Teddi.  Teddi is claiming that they are proof that LVP set her up.  They don't in any way show that LVP told John to tell Teddi to do it.  There's no text from LVP saying it, Teddi has no proof of that, just a text with some ambiguous wording that John says goes with another text.  Teddi read it a different way and has another story.  It's just not a smoking gun, but she's claiming it is.

I didn't claim it was a smoking gun. But it is evidence, unless someone believes that Sessa was also part of the conspiracy to get LVP. And that's kind of my point. For this kind of thing, there is never really going to be a smoking gun, so you have to go with the accumulation of circumstantial evidence to make a determination.

Maybe this is a tad off subject but Teddi's house, it's very, um plain isn't it? It looks like they are renting, nothing personal anywhere.  Was that indoor outdoor carpeting on the balcony?

I would have been thrilled to meet Billy Idol, I cannot stop singing "It's a nice day for a white wedding...."  He still looks good.

I do not like PK.  Dorit looked like she went in to survival mode when PK insulted Kyle, like you could see her gears turning on how to fix that situation.  I get the feeling Dorit does damage control a lot.

From this season? The fight against dog and cat meat, her personal tragedy (brother's suicide) her dog rescue centre, opening TomTom, opening Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, her kitchen reno, her charity work.  She's probably gone to the grocery store in an interesting car once or twice as well, has likely had a "child" of hers pee on the grass, has sold one or two items of clothing (for dogs), has had family over to her home, and has probably held a person or two accountable for something somewhere on the line.  But it's an hour show and they can't include everything.

Then, just in general, she's  a successful business woman who has lots going on and lives a glamorous and interesting lifestyle. Plus Giggy!  IIRC you said you don't (or no longer) find that stuff interesting, but I still do and I think other viewers do as well.

None of those are stories IMO except her fight against dog cruelty and her brother's suicide, which LVP really doesn't seem to want to talk about onscreen, which I totally get.

I don't think any of the women have strong storyline arcs this season, which is why the first half of this season was spent on Doggygate. But regardless of my interest (or lack thereof) in the stories for each season, I still watch because I love the glitz and glamour of the women's lives.

LoL. While I love Lisa and Ken's fondness for dogs and animals, they do go overboard at times. I remember when Ken let Giggy drink out of one of Adrienne's dishes (which I'm sure was very expensive) at the dinner table. And then they bring their dogs to their restaurants, which I find unsantiary. I refuse to eat at any restaurant that allows a dog at the table unless it's a guide dog for a blind person.

Also please no more "going forward" or "at the end of the day".

As for "I got your back", my favorite tee shirt has two stick figures.  One is holding the other's spine, and the caption is (of course) "I got your back".

I take back what I said about the women fawning over Boy George.  I didn't squeal like a tween but I was really excited to see Jerry Lee Lewis in 1990, at least 20 years after he'd had a hit record.  But Jerry Lee's a legend.  (Isn't he?)

I like Denise too -- she has a really cute smile, and the smile reaches her eyes, a sign of sincerity (in my mind anyway).  I think she might look better with thinner eyebrows, but then her eyebrows might be actual hair, rather than whatever passes for eyebrows these days.

Yes, Jerry Lee Lewis is a legend, but it's more because he was an early pioneer of Rock 'n Roll than because of his commercial success, which only lasted for a few years and ended because he married his 13-year old cousin.

Boy George and Billy Idol aren't as legendary as Jerry Lee Lewis, but I enjoyed seeing them because they bring back to the 80s. I was born in 1983 when both Boy George and Billy Idol were at their peaks.

Late to the party but fun Boy George story. One of my very dear friends is a local PBS host and celebrity. Years ago when he was just getting started he volunteered to take care of a celebrity for the day and it was Boy George. He had to follow a list of ridiculous demands and basically said BG was the biggest asshole he ever met. After 24 hours of hell he escorted him to his concert in one piece.  Before they said their goodbyes BG handed him a copy of a book - he had drawn a sweet cartoon picture of my friend and signed his name. I guess that was his way of apologizing.

Boy George was probably still on drugs during this time. He burned a lot of bridges because of his addiction. That could be why he's so beholden to P.K.

Even though this hasn't been the most eventful season of RHOBH, the ratings have been very steady this season. They are averaging 1.6 million viewers with a 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic.

The general consensus where? This board? LoL. This board hardly represents the majority of the viewing audience. I believe Teddy does have some fans, or else Bravo wouldn't have invited her back for another season. We saw how quickly Joyce Giraud, Carlton Gebbia, and Kathryn Edwards disappeared.

Last season I think people felt bad for Teddie, the way Dorit and Erika treated her was really mean. I think that is why she got a second season, i dont see her getting a 3rd.

Portia is eleven years old.  Kids at that age can want to be a number of things.  Right now she knows she's good at make-up.  What's wrong with that?  What's wrong with being a you tube star doing that?  She didn't say she wasn't going to get her high school diploma or not go to college.

Sometimes stuff happens, especially with little boys.  I don't think any of these women 'had' their son pee in the backyard.

I think Erika thought it would be better if they waited outside.  Erika doesn't know how her son would act because she wasn't there when he was growing up.

Common Core sucks.  There's too many educrats out there trying to reinvent the wheel.  This is not an insult to teachers who are in the trenches every day.

Portia: my point exactly.   But Kyle didn't mention a number of things only two things which IMO shows Kyles values which are shallow and materialistic.  The way she bought and showed the rolex is an example.

Urinating behind a tree in a manicured yard?- sorry, Dorit was too lazy to get up out of her chair and deal with it.  She thought it was funny.

Apologies for forgetting who it was that touched on this, regarding other RH shows and "gang ups" There was also that attempted "gang up" on RHONY Bethenny last season - when Ramona, Dorinda, and gawd awful Carole tried to make BF's life miserable. And yet - BF continued to film with the entire group, despite the friction. And she fought back. And she's back this season - with Dorinda and Ramona and their tucked tails making nice with her. Thankfully Carole is gone. I wish LVP would just stand up for herselfand fight back. The fact that she runs away - and has done so in the past, makes her a target. Which circles me back to RHONY and how much I appreciate those bishes can have heated arguments and still come back together, at least for filming's sake. And even have fun together. I know LVP sort of - ish stood up for herself - but not in an east coast RH way - where she should tell them their all full of shite and still show up to group events... Like in the Kyle/Lisa/ Ken situation - the blow up would have happened, and RHONY style would be to meet for lunch and work that shiz out, or agree to disagree and move on (to the extent they could be around each other during the bigger group events). Oh well. At least I have RHONY tonight. Ha ha 😉

Yes Bethenny is the best example of punching through a HW take down. She can eviscerate someone verbally, doesn't mind a good shouting match and will give up an ugly cry. That isn't LVPs style or strength and for a reality show that can be disappointing.  For her real life tho she is totally justified ghosting them.

Personally I couldn't care less if a clean, well groomed dog is at a restaurant where I choose to eat.  Much better in fact than a person who is dirty and smelly.  The thing that worries me is some children and adults have such severe allergies to dogs it could very well be a public health concern.

Good catch!  I couldn't really hear the correct phrase, but this is indeed an interesting choice of words!!

Wonder if this scene will be brought up during the Reunion, and then, Dorit will have to answer the subsequent question "So, Dorit, WHO really dropped the dog off at the shelter?"  (Said in my best "Andy-Reunion Host" voice)

Surely the shelter has a record of this and my guess there are cameras at the shelter.  If Dorit wants this cleared up perhaps she can get a hold of the records or better yet, have this great friend with the beautiful home who drove well over an hour into another county to ditch Lucy speak up about it.  I personally don't think there was a woman and that Dorit (and maybe an employee of hers) drove to Orange County to dump Lucy as a way to cover it up.  Doing nothing wrong but don't want to get LVP's attn?  Give the dog to a shelter in your own freaking county.  This reeks of covering tracks.  Badly.

With her general fashion sense, I really hope not, lol.  Her best looks are her casual looks which are pretty safe (jeans, tees, fitted blazers and flat shoes). The woman can barely walk in heels. I remember a recent scene in VPR where she and Sandoval were walking from Sur to Tom Tom and as they were walking side-by-side, from the back, it looked like he was helping his old, wobbly grandma cross the street, lol.

I thought he looked pretty good - but then I’m 60 and date 60+ men so it’s a low bar.

And considering all that Billy Idol has put himself through... it’s downright amazing that he looks as good as he does! (I suspect some plastic surgery, but even so)

NeNe, Porsha, Brandi, and Kenya.

I’m not sure who else 🤔

Also, Teresa, Rinna (2x), Claudia (2x), and Kyle. (And, Bethenny was on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.)

This episode is very instructive. The display of Teddi's arrogance and delusion was on display. It is Teddi that has destroyed this season and quite possibly destroyed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Teddi has stated that she had never discussed the Dorito dumping debacle directly with Lisa before the filming at Vanderpump Dogs. Her information came from one of the employees who she was friendly with and who was outraged at what Dorito did with a puppy that he had raised. He is on the record as saying that he is an independent person and that Lisa Vanderpump did not tell him to rope Teddi into a "conspiracy" to get Dorito. Now this guy is an extremely thirsty individual and it is quite possible that he did this to get air time on the show. It is also possible that Bravo producers encouraged them to do this to have something dramatic to film. If Teddi had simply examined the situation honestly she would have realized that she should have exposed Dorito. What she did was horrible and more important for Teddi is that Dorito hates her as witnessed by her dismissive attitude towards her in this past episode.  Teddi is so arrogant that she thought this whole thing revolved around her. That Lisa Vanderpump had some grand plan to make her a fall guy when truth is that Teddi Mellencamp is just not that important to Lisa. Or to anyone. Lisa has flatly stated that she can get along in life just fine without Teddi Mellencamp. What Teddi's arrogance and martyr complex did is set up Kyle for her annual attack on Lisa Vanderpump. Ever since the Bobby Fischer comment Kyle has been attacking Lisa as a chess player and manipulator. Every year there is a come to Jesus scene where Kyle demands that Lisa admit that she is some sort of puppet master and demands that she appologize and debase herself to the likes of Kyle and Brandi Granville and Yolanda Lemon and this years random cannon fodder. Every year it is the same thing. Lisa brings the galmor and the free dinners and the fun and Kyle brings the accusations and the attacks. This was different. Lisa was emotional and vulnerable on the balcony of the Bahama trip. She told Kyle that after her brother killed himself all these petty arguments didn't mean anything. Kyle's response was to want to talk about Dorito and the Dog. At that point Lisa realized that there was no reason to go on. There was no reason to sit there and take the abuse of the combined witches coven when the person who did something wrong was Dorito. None of these people mean much of anything to her. She could not keep up the pretense of the sham made for TV friendships anymore. The only quasi real friendship with Kyle had run its course. Just in the same way as all of the original friendships on all of the franchises had ended in acrimony and recriminations. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has run its course as presently constituted. It will not go on with the present cast.

There has been a lot of uniformed blather about how Nene and Bethenny and Lisa were the Queen Bees and unredeemable narcissists and how the shows would be better without them and they aren't necessary. Well you know who disagrees vehemently with this idea? The producers of these shows. After Nene and Bethenny left these shows they were brought back with larger salaries. They didn't bring back Kim or Jill Zarin. They choose one of the members of the basic friendships to feature as the heart of these franchises. Nene, Bethenny and Lisa are the three housewives who have leveraged their participation in the Housewives to the greatest effect. Bravo knows this. They must think they are vital to the success and popularity of these shows or they wouldn't bring them back. If Lisa leaves for a year they will try to bring her back just as they did with Nene and Bethenny. They are the heart of their franchises and just as a body cannot exist without a heart neither can these shows. The proof of this is what has gone on before. History matters. Dare I say it this is the reality of the situation.

The world and this show will get along just great without Teddi Mellecamp. Or Lisa Rinna. Or Erika Jayne. Or Kyle Richards. Or Dorito.

Watch and see.

There can be only one.

I am posting late but here are some thoughts:

Boy George/Billy Idol......my inner 16 year old self would have been super excited to meet them and my 50 year old self would be sad to see Billy Idol not look like the poster I had of him on my bedroom wall growing up.

Portia......I am relieved to find out I am not the only person who doesn't think she is cute.  I honestly never have.  I don't mind minor 'mommy moments' like Kyle's daughters going off to college or things that humanize the housewives more but I do not enjoy them trying to push their children's careers on us.  The only time that worked was with the Hadid's since they turned out to be a really big deal.

LVP.......I have always liked her and probably always will although she is not the innocent she likes to portray herself as all the time.  I am in the minority on this but I love a good kitchen makeover so I am liking this particular story line.  Count me in on not liking Lisa talking sexual when it comes to her animals.....

Kyle.....Same as LVP, I do like her but every last one who has been on the show has likable moments and unlikable ones.  I will miss her and Lisa's friendship if this is never resolved.  Agree with the person who said she really does seem very materialistic the last couple of seasons.  She lives in my favorite house out of all the housewives (the outside anyway).

Teddi......Liked her last season and now not so much.

Dorit..........Not much I can muster positive about her and I don't think her kids are cute either although I am very glad Jagger speaks now.

Lisa R........I am 50/50 with her......she can be quite funny and I like how she is honest about being a hustler but she loves stirring a pot.  I think my love for Billie on Days makes it harder for me to dislike her completely.

Camille..... I despised her when she was full time and turns out she is still pretty much the same....she brings a lovely wardrobe though.

Denise........I agree with the majority who like her and she seems sweet and is obviously a good mother but I do not need to hear all the sex talk and I swear I am not a prude but some things I just don't want to know.

I didn't find anything disturbing about it.  I'd imagine I'm not the only other animal lover who talks to their critters in ways that some might find cringeworthy, but I don't care.  Each and every one of them responds to their special language of love, and that gives me joy.

I'm not an animal lover, but found it funny. Lisa and the camera guy probably totally set that up.

Agreed about the kids, particularly on this show. They bring absolutely nothing to the table. Say what you will about Phaedra, though. Her kid was fun to watch in little doses.

Read the link above about PK. He was quite the power player, it seems. But also is probably a degenerate gambler, which led him to make some questionable choices in 2008 and after. Throughout this whole puppygate BS, he has been very measured, probably in part because he may need a loan from the Vanderpump-Todds or at the very least cannot afford to lose this RHOVH gig.

I really don't like Teddi and don't think she adds anything to this show. She thinks she's a cool girl now and it's not a good look, in part because she's very uncool, as Luann would say. And she's such a buttinsky who needs to STFU instead of interjecting herself into everyone's conversations. Lisa was quite nice to her last year and when these bitches fall, she's going to find out she's bet on the wrong horse.

In my humble opinion, the show could stand to lose Teddi and Erika, whose shtick is getting old. Also not a LisaR fan. I kind of enjoy the grifters, PK and Dorit, though I hope she stops with the weird fashion/hair looks because she looks insane.

Atlanta and NY were better when their Queen Narcissists left - this show would be fine without LVP too. Makes no difference to me if she stays or goes, but I wish Nene and Bethenny would’ve stayed away.

LVP won't be leaving RHOBH. Her restaurants/bars traffic is dependent upon the publicity she gets from this show.

As I predicted from the first episode - she has an annual scene at Villa Blanca (this with Denise Richards). It is the biggest Money Pit. I don't understand why she can't get out of the lease or maybe she should change the name/decor. I neve understood why she didn't just change that place entirely into TomTom. She needs to showcase VPD and Pump and can only do so many scenes on VPR.

No dogs or other pets then I guess.

I don't have a dog, a kid or a yard.  I'll go on record, though, and say that if I did, the dog would have an area of the yard that it was allowed to use for bathroom purposes, which was the case for all of the dogs in my family that were around when I was growing up.  For example, my one grandparent's dog was allowed anywhere in the yard, but bathroom purposes were only behind the garage so there was no danger of anyone ever running into rogue poop while out playing.  And I wouldn't let a kid use the yard as a toilet, because it's not a thing that I'm fond of seeing.  Out hiking or camping? Sure, that's one thing.  Out playing in the backyard? Nope, we have a bathroom inside, the backyard is not your toilet.

Hm Camille.  Is this now Camille 3.0?  Or Camille 1.01?

For Breezy424:

We need to ask Dorit if she's Camille Type 1 or Camille Type 2

I think it is quite plausible that she will leave for a year. Her main publicity for the restaurants comes from Vanderpump Rules. The restaurants barely appear on the Real Housewives and are indistinguishable from other venues that get a quick plug for alllowing them to film there. In contrast on VDP Rules they have entire episodes devoted to setting up Pump or Tom Tom.

What is most likely to happen is that Lisa will be off for a year and then they will beg her to come back. Just as they begged Nene and Bethenny to come back to anchor their franchises. It has happened before in Real Housewives world and I would venture to say that it will happen again. If Lisa stays away for a year everyone will understand how important she is and it will give them a chance to get a new group of housewives. I would think they would repeat the experience of New York where they will drop three or four of the current cast. Set up the cast with just say Kyle and Denise and a new group of washed up actresses or shopworn trophy wives. Let them have a year together. Then bring Lisa back. They did it before and it worked so I bet they will do it again.
