I thought the same thing. She's probably in the house smoking and drinking Mountain Dew, yelling at the girls to behave but not bothering to actually spend time with them.

leahdawn92mtvThis has been so much fun! Yes, I would know. I'm THAT Mom ...
that loves to do whatever my kiddos love to do ☺️

Since when??

I see Leah has embraced the humblebrag. Or is the sorry/not sorry? I get confused.

Sure does not look like the photo is taken close up.......Agreed.

In between texting and putting on mascara she  is taking photos. Good mama.

I am far from an expert on this but I do not recall seeing her eat. (no wonder she is not too keen on having food to serve the girlzes.

After looking again and reading where you all mentioned it looked like she took it from the front door, it does look as if it's through a screen door or glass.

We can't really expect Leah to leave the comfort of her air conditioned home, y'all. I mean, all that Mary Kay would melt off of her face if she went outside in the summer and exerted herself. I'm sure she believes Gracie is just fine supervising what's going on out there.

I agree. I'm a firm believer that if you're constantly on social media bragging about your looks, money, perfect relationship, material objects and uh-MAY-zinggg parenting skills, then life is probably a total clusterfuck behind the scenes.

Someone on this forum said something once that really stuck with me: paraphrasing - a truly good mom doesn't think she's a good mom. She's always wishing she could do more.

Jenelle calls herself a good mom as well, so.....

I think you could definitely think you're a good mom when you are, but it would take some sort of honest self awareness, which these people don't have. They think a "good mom" is someone who occasionally hangs out with the kid and a "good dad" takes selfies with him/her.

I agree with this. I've posted at length before about this, but I've never sat down and said, wow I'm really killing this mom thing. I'm always worried that I'm not doing enough.

Also, what does "that mom" even mean? She's the kind of mom who buys her kids toys? The kind that takes pictures of her kids? Is there any other kind of mom out there? Even Jenelle, in 6 years, has managed to purchase an age appropriate toy for her kid and take a picture of him playing with it. I get that she's humble bragging, but I am not sure what she feels is so brag worthy about her post.

I just had a moment of panic wondering if people think I'm "that mom" who does xxx weird thing.

It had never occurred to me that I might be.  Now I'm worried.

Today:

"leahdawn92mtvThis is our life, and there is days like these we LOVE it! ☺️"  Yep, these "is" the days! Good god.

The sentence doesn't even make sense. Why do I even bother pointing that out??

The world certainly sees *this* mom ignoring a renowned specialist's advice, and NOT having Ali in her power wheelchair.  Nope.  Not "that mom".  Not even close.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!! I can't unsee those  pics!

Moving is the worst. I hate it! But not once have i ever taken a bunch of skanky looking pictures of myself making faces like I just got a whiff of my piles of old used tampons I unearthed while packing.

Don't start me on the brows.

She looks so thrown away too! On one hand, it's refreshing to see that "celebrities" look as disheveled as I do sometimes when I'm sitting around on the couch (except I'm not making crazy faces), but who exactly chooses to air it to the world? Reminds me of one of those "stars! They're just like us!" sections of magazines, except those pictures are usually taken by the papparazzi.

Leah reminds me of Tonya from the Real World. I guess the Purtiest Possum is doing her mating call by Instagramming these photos. Possums gon' git her a man!

Never have I ever been in the middle of anything (especially sweaty) and decided on a new set of selfies. I hate my own picture and may have only taken 5 in my life! It's crazy to me the amount of pictures some people take of themselves.  She thought she looked good in these, too I bet.

Maybe those of us who hate pictures of ourselves have a different standard?  Because I feel the same way you do, Mkay, and can't explain why someone would put up photos that make them look so godawful.  It's not like someone else took the picture and Leah happened to have a stupid look on her face, like in the olden days.  She took these and selected them to post.

Also, are future civilizations going to look at photos from the early 21st century and conclude that humans evolved extremely quickly to have arms that project out from the body instead of hanging down by the human's sides?  And that shoulders became the prominent feature?

Aisha Tyler did a hilarious bit about this years ago when the selfie trend began to take off. "Don't you have a friend? Can't you run out in the street and ask somebody to take your picture for you?" And that was back before smart phones, when digital cameras were popular.

I've always thought that too! But she's out crazied Crazy Tonya. Quite the feat, considering Tonya famously upon arriving at a Challenge dug through her bags for a live cat she swore she'd packed.

I'm part of the social media generation and I hate selfies.  I seriously find them so awkward. Have you forgotten what your face looks like?  I don't mind selfies when it is "me and (insert interesting person)!" or sending funny ones to friends with deliberate triple chins but photos of yourself just because seem rather obnoxious.  I also can't take them because I end up smiling weird or making myself look like a vampire with pale skin and massive bags under my eyes.

Leah may resemble Tonya, but she is in a crazy league all her own.

I am laughing at how Leah made sure to post she is "doing it (packing) all on her own."

Suuuure you are, Leah. Damn liar.

LOL wtf.  Why would she post those pics.

I have to admit I have never found Leah  very attractive but these faces she makes and when she chews the inside of her mouth don't help her a bit. (her mother's seems to chew the inside of her mouth too).

People post selfies because they want people to like and comment on them, it's a self esteem booster. Not always. But with those who post a lot of them, that's generally the case. Human beings have become too self involved.

I didn't think Leah's caption meant to say that she was doing all the packing on her own. I took it more as, "While I'm all alone (both dads have the kids?) I have to take advantage and pack!" Little kids make packing kind of hard. But, then maybe you should stop taking selfies and actually pack? I'm sure whatever she did pack, Gracie will come home and repack it all. Because I'm fairly confident Leah is a shite packer.

It would be one thing if Leah had put up one grungy, sweaty, goofy faced selfie for the public's viewing pleasure, but who is she trying to impress but putting up a  collage? She isn't the first person who's had to pack up a house. I guess MTV was filming that day and she actually had to work instead of delegating tasks to the girlses, Victoria, or her other hillbilly relations.

Packing? See that don't make no sense. What's the point if she's just gonna move again in 6 months? She's better off keeping a caravan and pimping herself, Delta Dawn and co, Espurr, and the girlses as circus acts.

That might've been me...I've said that exact thing a lot. I stand by it forever. The only moms who tell us they're good moms are the shit ones. Have we ever heard Chelsea or Kailyn brag about how great of moms they are? I don't recall them ever doing so.. But, we all know Leah and Jenelle have said multiple times that they are awesome moms themselves..

Leah, spend more time BEING a good mom instead of trying to somehow "prove" to us that you are one! She reminds me of a kid trying to get out of chores...she spends more effort trying to look like she's doing the work than she would if she'd just do the work itself.

Lots of days I sit down after my kid goes to bed and think, "I fed her and watered her.  She didn't break any bones today.  I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything that will result in her need for therapy down the line...I killed this mom thing today".  But would I actually ever post that on social media?  Hell no.  Other days when I get out the hose and we spend hours chasing and spraying each other in the front yard, I think "Man, I don't do this enough with her.  I'm a shitty mom".

Being a good mom means not telling the world you are one, and constantly never being sure if you really ARE one.

I meant TR Dues is helping her.

She cooked the bacon. Does TR slap her on the ass with it before she cooks it?
