The preview for tonight’s episode showed the conversation between Farrah and Morgan, the Exec. Producer. But instead, we got some background or filler talk between the two producers in the car, and then the very dramatic and kinda weird “to be continued...” I think they’re still going to show the scene next week, but maybe they edited the ending of tonight’s ep. to give themselves time to maybe check with their lawyers. Just a guess, but regardless, Farrah’s a horrible person. And her enablers, Michael and his fiancé, watch her abuse people left and right, and sit and do nothing. It’s gross to watch. I don't know how or why her father deals with it. You see him throw his back and close his eyes as Farrah goes in on the producer about the teacher. I guess, he wants access to Sophia but I could not be on camera with Farrah. Her treatment of people is so disgusting. I'd be embarrassed to be on camera with her. Popular Post CofCinci February 27, 2018 Popular Post Share February 27, 2018 Michael is able to sit there silent in the front seat of the chauffeured SUV because he is paralyzed by guilt and shame over whatever trauma/abuse occurred when Farrah was a child. He really needs to connect with those thoughts and feelings to process them because they are all creating an even bigger monster with Mowgli Monroe. That child is not only feral — she is encouraged by her mother and the enablers to disrespect adults. Now, we don’t want to teach our children to be blindly obedient (or maybe you do, I don’t judge) but you must show your children how to be a good human. Look at Bentley and Leah, her contemporaries. Sometimes I forget Sophia’s age (just turned 9). She acts like Addie Messer (3-4) after she just ate a tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and a couple restaurant packets of sugar. Do people ever tell Sophia “no”?! 52 Link to comment

Popular Post ghoulina February 27, 2018 Popular Post Share February 27, 2018 Wow. Maci has literally nothing going on her life, huh? Gotta drag out the ol PCOS for a storyline? Even her friends were fucking bored. And I normally like Taylor, BECAUSE I think he's a good dad; especially the way he includes Bentley. But he pissed me off last night spanking Maverick like that. I know the spanking topic is controversial, and I'm not even 100% opposed to the practice. But I don't see any reason to spank a child that young unless it's a dangerous situation and you need to get their attention. I don't even get why turning around in the high chair is such a big deal, but if he's not doing what you like, take him out. Meal time's over. He'll learn quick enough. Can I say how much I LOVED that 90% of Amber's segments tonight were actually about Gary??? I would be thrilled if MTV just edged her right out. I mean, what does she do? Nothing. Her idea of bonding time with her kid is getting a massage? Just one more activity where she can lay down?? I don't know about y'all, but I don't know too many 8-year-olds who would enjoy a massage. They have too much energy for that! Amber, Leah isn't your contemporary. She's a CHILD. Find out what she wants to do, and do that! I loved Gary and Kristina working on the family tree with Leah. Such a sweet scene. I had no idea Gary had all this uncertainty surrounding his father. To me, Gary looks exactly like his mother, but I do think his eyes resemble Jody's. I hope they get the results they're looking for. Farrah is just an impossible person. It's not just her mother. It's not just production. She genuinely thinks she can glide through life doing whatever-the-fuck she wants. She saw that sign saying, "Don't disturb the occupants" and goes up there anyhow. The rules don't apply to her. It's the same with the set teacher thing. CA laws don't apply to her. Just like Sophia should have been allowed to wear makeup to school. She is above all laws, rules, common decency. If it was just ONE person, okay. But it's everyone. The asshole is her. And Sophia is going to turn out just as bad, or worse, after continually witnessing these displays. You can tell Michael is just barely holding it in. That being said, I wish MTV would drop the whole porn angle as part of their grievance with Farrah. I think her treatment of staff is enough. But raising an issue with her adult work just seems petty and hypocritical. I mean, I have a real disdain for the sex industry myself, but let's be real - half of the shows on MTV these days look like soft-core porn. And, what? It's okay to show people so whacked out on heroin that they almost kill everyone on the freeway.....it's okay to show women physically assaulting their mates....it's okay to show children and dogs being neglected and verbally abused....but we can't have a woman on the show who does porn but doesn't actually do it ON the show? Give me a break. Farrah is awful. Just leave it at that. Don't try to act like this is some moral platform, because it isn't. I'm not going to snark on Cate and Tyler this episode. I'm just not. Those two often do shit for attention, I'm well aware of that. But everything I saw last night felt real. I actually teared up. Cate is often a horrible person, but I don't wish suicidal thoughts on anyone. And Tyler just got back from sending his dad off to treatment, now he's gotta send his wife. He tries to act all tough, but I think there's still a little boy inside just begging for someone to take care of HIM. I question those two a lot. No doubt they've made some regrettable decisions and aren't always great people. But they had a shit childhood and I don't think that's ever been properly dealt with. There is a lot of trauma there. I really wish they'd exist the show and engage in some intensive therapy, because it is sorely needed. I'm sure I'll be back to snarking on them next week. But I just can't bring myself to comment on the situation last night. It was awful. 59 Link to comment

I am very sympathetic to C and T and their shitty childhoods and this most recent loss. It's terrible and awful, but what they are going through is what a lot of people go through in their everyday lives, without the MTV cash to get their sick parents in treatment, get their suicidal spouse in treatment, own several houses, and really only have to "work" a few weeks a year for shit ton of money. This show is as detrimental as drugs when it comes to providing a band aid to dealing with life's woes and insulating them, if only temporarily, from reality. This show has given C and T the means to run away from their problems and not really challenge themselves professionally or educationally speaking. It many respects, like drugs, it has stunted their emotional growth and their coping skills. They really are like 16 year olds stuck in the bodies of 25 year olds. The cameras and money have allowed and encouraged them to wallow in their sense of wronged victimhood. When Tyler said he just can't get a break, I was shocked. It is awful to lose a baby and it is awful to have to take a parent to rehab, but Tyler has gotten a huge break in the form of financial well being and a free trip to rehab for his dad because of the show. That is already so much more than the Joe Sixpacks of the world get when they go through similar strife. There is an epidemic of both drug addiction and mental illness ravaging the poor communities of middle America. Familes are burdened and destroyed everyday by this crisis. I am really starting to feel that this shit show may damage them for life. They have lived in this insulated bubble of "fame" fans and money for 8 years. How in the holy hell are they going to manage life when there is no cash to run away to rehab the minute life gets to be too much? I posted previously on this topic. But after seeing C fall apart completely and Tyler crumple as well, how are these two going to handle life when they have to put food on the table and keep the lights on through the daily grind? The loss of the fame and money when the show ends may be enough to send them both in a dangerous downward spiral. They have no other identity or sense of self beyond this show. 39 Link to comment

Not saying she deserves it @ all!! I don't think she even goes for walks, I think that would benefit her greatly. And I know her anxiety after the miscarriage probably amped up the smoking. But damn I could almost smell the cigarette smoke coming out of my TV. I couldn't imagine having suicidal thoughts while having a daughter, especially as young as Nova, that's truly heartbreaking. My sister had a miscarriage last spring and she had suicidal thoughts. She is prone to depression as it is. She had severe postpartum after her first child, that let to psychosis. (She is very healthy, by the way. Normal weight, doesn't smoke or drink. It happens to everyone.) The way Catelynn talked about it reminded me very much of my sister. It just broke my heart. For me, it's hard to think I could ever want to take my life while I have other children at home, but depression is a bastard that just takes over your thoughts. I think Cate has some character flaws separate from her mental health issues. And I think they're preventing her from getting true and lasting help. It's frustrating, because I do believe she has severe problems. I don't think Cate wanted another kid. I think deep down she knew she isn't in the right head space to even take care of the one she has. I think she felt pressured by Tyler, and just general expectations. So she did it. And then she truly did become happy with the idea....then she lost the baby. That's a lot of emotions to go through in a short period of time. My sister certainly could never afford the type of place Cate went to, but I don't begrudge people for getting ANY kind of help. I just wish she'd stay her ass there and not find it imperative to come back home for the show's reunion. 3 hours ago, Brooklynista said: In all of my sporadic years of House Hunter viewing I never knew a stackable washer/dryer set-up was offensive to prospective buyers. This happens sometimes with caretakers and it's a perfectly normal human reaction. Tyler probably feels that he is doing everything to "move 'em on up" and create this Pinterest-perfect life but his family keeps falling apart. Pretty much everything falls on his shoulders. In all these conflicts, the common denominator is Farrah! There is plenty for the producers to go on to can Farrah and the porn angle is the least of her transgressions. Her pet gremlin is an infantile 9 year old and she is getting worse by the day. ******************************************** Amber ~ her scenes in this episode all looked like footage filmed over the summer. Her hair was bleached like that this past summer and that's when she was wearing that rag tied around her head for a month or so. In every scene with Amber, they were wearing summer clothes. Well, everyone except Amber; she was wearing bed sheets. All the other scenes that had nothing to do with her they were wearing cold weather clothes. Maci ~ I'm speaking about and giving information on PCOS because Maci has made it such a huge story line. PCOS is mainly a high blood sugar/insulin resistance issue. Usually those issues go along with excess weight. Many people think the PCOS causes the high blood sugar/insulin resistance and weight gain but the opposite is true. Control your nutrition by cutting out sugar and junk carbs, concentrate on regulating blood sugar levels, and walk for 30 minutes 3-4 times per week to see improved health. The main medications to treat PCOS are birth control pills and Metformin (which is a Type 2 diabetes pill). Type I diabetes is caused by a pancreatic disorder where the pancreas doesn't produce insulin. Type II diabetes is caused by poor nutrition and it is preventable. It is also somewhat reversible is caught early enough. Chronically high blood sugar causes damage to the body at a cellular level. In our modern pharmaceutical worshiping society, not many people want to hear or believe this though. Way back when Hippocrates said "Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food." For anyone struggling with their weight and poor health, I highly recommend the following plans: Whole 30, Dr. Davis Wheatbelly, Vinnie Tortorich's No Sugar, No Grains and Trim Healthy Mama. Check the books out from your library to see what they are about and which one you think you would be most compliant with. Give yourself a week to start seeing the benefits! If you are on insulin or high blood pressure meds, the books I listed above generally have information about speaking with your doctor to wean off these drugs once you begin healing yourself with better nutrition. If Maci really does have PCOS she needs to put down the beer cans, junky fast food, sugary Starbucks, etc and kick her nicotine habit and get off her ass and go for walks a few days a week. E cigs or whatever are a better alternative than smoking cigarettes but nicotine is a nasty drug. It is a vasoconstricter which is just bad news because it causes high blood pressure. Yes, I speak from experience because I kicked a nasty cigarette habit myself. I still say I'm a smoker who chooses not to smoke. It has been years and I still feel the urge, but when I do I make myself do something active so I remind myself how much I like breathing without difficulty. I don't have time to discuss Cate right now, but I would like to. Maybe I can come back this afternoon. 14 Link to comment

This is another reason why the show has been bad for them. I think they're mainly still together because of the show. Tyler would have left long ago, but he loves the image he's cultivated as the world's most supportive husband. I DO think he loves her; I think his concern for her and pain is real. But it's the love you have for a family member. They've known each other their whole lives, they share children together. Of course he loves her! But I do not think he's in love with her. Nor do I think they are healthy for each other. They are both way too damaged to be good support systems for ANYONE, let alone another severely damaged person. In a perfect world, they would have gave their baby up, split up not long after, received therapy, gone to school, entered a trade....moved on. This show has kept them in this limbo where they can't let go of each other, or Carly. It's fucking them up. Bad. 4 minutes ago, imjagain said: Lol, my monkey is 7 and dosent mind it , now my oldest is 25 and I will call him " boy wonder " from time to time, his nickname as a little boy ....hates it, lol. I would never call my kids by these names in front of their friends OR on national TV. 20 Link to comment

While many teen mothers have their children and either mature because they have to for the child's sake or in the case of giving them up for adoption have had to learn to get on with their lives, these people have profited by staying in a state of perpetual drama in search of a storyline to keep the franchise relevant and the pay checks coming. When I was watching the Farrah story line, I just kept thinking it's time for this show to end. It's time for them to experience the real life...for their sake and the sake of their children. Farrah is such a major asshole. If I was the owner of the house listed for sale, I would have told her to go away. I couldn't believe they let her in. If I was her real estate agent, I would've fired her. Since MTV let the porn go previously, they are just using it as the final reason now. They have been over her shit for a while. They can't even film because of the SET teacher situation and her being a giant c**t about the SET teacher. A total waste of production money. 24 Link to comment
Chickabiddy February 27, 2018 Share February 27, 2018 (edited) Ok, So I am reading all these confessionals about nicknames like Monkey and alley cat---as if there is any comparison to Booger Butt. Every nick name other posters have said is kind of cute or charming in its own way. Calling your lovely little girl booger butt - essentially a green yellow wad of dried nasal waste in combination with butt - where poo comes out has to be the most disgusting "term of endearment" I have ever heard. It makes me want to gag when I hear/read it. Let's combine a term for dried mucas with the one body part associated primarily with shit and call our beloved child that. It' just about the trashiest thing ever, and I think it reveals a certain amount of disdain that Amber has for her child to call her something so vile. What's next Fart Lips or Barf belly or Puke pants? And in a totally unrelated topic - Does the title of this episode remind anyone of Stuart Smalley? Yes, yes. I am dating myself egregiously. But gosh darn it I'm beautiful. I'm smart. I'm strong. And people like me! Edited February 27, 2018 by Chickabiddy still can't type... 18 Link to comment

I don’t think the situation has happened yet — but I do believe the injured party (even if it was Ryan driving while under the influence) would have a reasonable case against MTV/production for not stopping him AND filming him. It looks like they now have a crew of 6 or 7 filming with each TM. 2 producers, location scout/PA, 2 cameras, sound and security - plus a set teacher when in California. MaggieG February 27, 2018 Share February 27, 2018 Good God, Farrah is a heinous bitch. Sophia will be worse because all she sees is her mother treating others like crap. She already parrots everything Farrah says, "I don't like David, I don't like the teacher." Kristen the producer looked so stressed out when she realized they were going to have to discuss the set teacher issue with her because she knew Farrah was going to blow up about it. 3 hours ago, ghoulina said: Farrah is just an impossible person. All of this! I will give Farrah a tiny bit of credit for making money and doing it her own way but she makes it impossible to root for with her stank ass attitude. Amy, are you sure you want to marry into this? My brothers nickname as a child was Name-ie Boy. After a while it somehow got shortened to just Boy and he is still Boy at 28. It's funny when my mom or Grandma says "Boy, can you help me with this?" like we couldn't bother remembering his name and we just refer to him as Boy. We only do it among family though and of course we know his name :) Are we sure Amber knows Leah's name? 17 Link to comment
smores February 27, 2018 Share February 27, 2018 When I was 8, I'd have LOVED a massage. I was a super girly kid and I also liked doing "grown up" things, having my nails done, having tea, etc. Sadly for me, I was born back in the old days where having my nails done meant mom did them and not getting a pedi at a local nail place like it does now. But, I'd have had a blast as a kid now, with kid spa treatments and tea parties! And then I'd have gone outside and dug in the dirt. I wonder if Farrah and MTV had an agreement about the porn situation when Teen Mom OG started filming again. If they did, and she had said she wouldn't be actively filming anything while also filming Teen Mom, then I don't particularly blame them for having an issue with it. Personally, I don't think it's a super huge issue, as it's legal and she's earning a living and supporting herself and her child, but, if it was an agreement they had that she is violating, then she's violating an agreement. She IS horrible in her treatment of the producers and support staff (not sure how else to term it), and should pretty much be let go just for that. I agree that they've likely covered a lot of past issues up and now they are showing them, and she's just a horror to work with. Even if she had a producer that she loved, who was willing to put up with her shit, she was still horrible to other people during that time frame, so they need to just cut their losses and end it with her. 9 Link to comment

It's really a baby nickname I cringe when Amber says it. I admit sometimes call my son monkey because he loved Curious George as a toddler, and monkey stuck . However never in front of other kids and it's usually just when he allows me to snuggle with him , lol. I sometimes call my son "fartknocker" because, well, he's REALLY gassy and it sounds like someone's knocking at the door. But I don't do it every day. Or in public. Or in front of his friends. Or outside of the house. Or on camera. And I've only kept it up because he thinks it's hilarious and has taken some pride in it. The fact that Amber continues to do this even though it could follow Leah through school and cause public embarrassment just slays me. I'm starting to think that she just doesn't remember the kid's name. 16 Link to comment

You didn't? Its right up there with paint color as an immutable deal breaker. Seriously, Farrah is ridiculous. She's such a snob about the stupidest things--you could hear her disdain for the proles with the stackable washer/dryer! I will always treasure the memory of her looking at a house and saying how she needed room for their horse. And the real estate lady was an actual horsewoman and was dying to talk about horses and riding and stabling and Farrah was all "uh, uh, yeah, horsie". Every time Amber uses that appalling moniker for her adorable daughter I die a little inside. And do these people ever do anything but go to lunch at crap restaurants and get pedicures? Or in Amber's case, massages? She couldn't think of anything that Leah might enjoy? A movie? Shopping? A live performance? A cooking class? A sailing lesson? A museum? Horseback riding? Afternoon tea? Roller skating? Mini golf? Naw! A nine year old girl wants to lie down in a darkened room and have a stranger rub oil on her. Amber is the worst of all the terrible mothers on this show. 31 Link to comment

Popular Post eskimo February 27, 2018 Popular Post Share February 27, 2018 When Cate was saying "I'm beautiful, I'm smart, I'm strong", I flashed back to a scene when April was telling her what a worthless little bitch she was. And that was on camera, when Cate was a teen. We have not seen a fraction of a percent of the ways she has been torn down her whole life. She has no idea what self worth is, she's almost going to have to go back to a child-like level to get it. What I mean by that is that she'll have to take pride in small accomplishments first, possibly even daily tasks. Then build from there. She might have to start off where most people start off building confidence in their toddlers. I'm not snarking at all here, she was deprived of that developmental stage. Now Nova gets to pay for it. 43 Link to comment

I definitely hear what you're saying, and it breaks my heart. BUT...Cate was given a golden opportunity. She & Ty had much adoration, especially at the beginning. She *could've* built a semblance of a life for herself, and derived validation from that, no? (ie going into social work or becoming an adoption counselor) I might be judging too harshly here, but I don't have a shit-ton of patience for someone who just seems like an incredibly selfish mother 4 Link to comment
Quilty February 27, 2018 Share February 27, 2018 Hey Amber why don't you ask Leah what she'd like to do when you have "quality time"? A massage? A good massage is great but probably not at the top of a little girls list of fun stuff to do. 15 Link to comment
