Maci's PCOS storyline screams "we needed something to fill air time this week other than the tired drama with Ryan." I'm not doubting that she has PCOS, but it's obvious that this Q&A with a doctor was an educational moment for the audience so MTV feels like we've learned something from Maci other than the art of chugging a Bud Light.

Amber continues to think only of herself by planning that trip to get a massage with Leah. What kid would enjoy that? They couldn't even talk to each other one-on-one. Amber just wanted a massage and toted Leah along with her, even though Leah probably would have enjoyed literally anything else more than a massage.

Producer Kristen has shown remarkable restraint in not punching Farrah after enduring endless amounts of her bitchy attitude. LOL at the super intense music as the bigwigs came to talk to Farrah and the ominous black "to be continued" screen. Except news of Farrah's lawsuit is all over the media, so there's really no suspense in how this ends, but nice try, MTV. Maybe we should guess how many expletives Farrah will use or how many times she'll ugly cry in order to keep things interesting.

All snark aside, a miscarriage is a terrible ordeal and if Catelynn felt suicidal, I'm glad she told someone and they took her seriously. Tyler's broken face at the prospect of Catelynn hurting herself was devastating. I hope she's okay and gets the help she needs.

I really don't see why MTV is to blame for anything related to FA. I mean come on, she's been behaving like a c**t for a couple of years now. And for the record, I loathe that word, but it's an accurate description of her in my opinion. Once again I have serious empathy for Tyler. The kid is dealing with family drama all the damn time. Hell, I would need therapy for that mess.

You are right. MTV should be blamed for Ryan and his DUIs. The way I see it, Ryan is a c*** for driving under the influence more than once and endangering the lives of many people while Mackenzie allowed it on at least one occasion while on camera. They are both worthless assholes.

I was amazed at how much Nova and Carly look like Tyler - wow.

I don't know why the producers even brought up the porn thing when the producers thing was enough to fire her.  She wants a job then she plays by the jobs rules.  Just like the rest of us.

Wow Farrah sure did get a bad edit. Frankly, porn aside, she should be fired based on her actions re: producers. No one get to speak to another human like that. And if I was a seller,I'd be super pissed off if a person just came knocking at my door.

Well, that was depressing to watch. I truly feel bad for Catelynn, mental illness is no joke and having miscarried twice myself it's a heartbreaking thing to go through. I'm glad she's getting help. Feel bad for Tyler too, he can't catch a break, Dad and wife in rehab. 

I don't know what these MTV producers gets paid but after the abuse Farrah heaped on Kerthy whatever they get is not enough. I hate Farrah with the heat of a thousand suns and I'm glad she got fired. I hope she loses her lawsuit. But on the other hand MTV created this monster. But, yeah, agree with missbonnie, Farrah is the biggest C-word I've ever seen.

MTV brings it up because they know a good portion of the audience is disgusted with Farrah over her porn. A good portion of them are likely slut-shamers. MTV has enough reason to get rid of her without throwing it in her face about the career she chose before MTV begged her to come back.

Maybe I'm an asshole but Catelynn needs to get a grip. I feel like they've gotten used to running off to "rehab" or "treatment" for every little thing which in some ways is not the best way to treat these things. If you are constantly removing yourself from your real life for weeks to months at a time, no wonder you can't deal with real life. People go through all sorts of things and get through them. This is another privilege their MTV salary gives them that actually does more damage than good. Just get a good therapist where you live and go see them a few times a week. And I am starting to feel a lot of sympathy for Tyler, he needs a break.

Tyler is so right, he just can’t catch a break.  I never really believed him when he said a while back that he feels depressed and is always taking care of Cate’s needs,but I sure believe him now.  There’s just no happiness in his life and he can’t leave because Cate & Nova need him but someone is always pulling him down and there’s no way out.  As for Farrah, since when does she hold the reigns and decide what producer she wants and belittles all the hands that feed her.  They let her get away with way too much and that is grounds enough to get rid of her.

I don’t know what to say about the Farrah thing. Yes, she’s awful but almost everyone involved in this show kind of is at this point. Also while she doesn’t have the right to demand different producers, didn’t Amber demand producer Heather be fired? Just wondering.

 Looking forward to seeing the look in those dead eyes and that plastic snout that she’s crafted to give her the appearance of a discarded Simpson’s character, when she gets the news that she’s canned. I hope Sprinkle Ass or whatever the fuck that horse’s name is, goes to a happy home. He/She is the only member of that insane family that I feel sorry for.

I get what you're saying. It's not even just going to rehab but they're constantly talking about how they're "stressed" and have "too much going on" so they have to take a trip. It doesn't seem like they ever actually address their problems, they just leave town. 

 

ETA: If Cate was truly feeling suicidal then she definitely needed to go to the doctor for her own safety. For most of us, though, that's a trip to the ER which sometimes results in admittance. Not immediate acceptance into a $50,000 resort rehab.

I think they did some quick editing of this episode after Farrah filed her lawsuit this week.  The preview for tonight’s episode showed the conversation between Farrah and Morgan, the Exec. Producer.  But instead, we got some background or filler talk between the two producers in the car, and then the very dramatic and kinda weird “to be continued...”  I think they’re still going to show the scene next week, but maybe they edited the ending of tonight’s ep. to give themselves time to maybe check with their lawyers.

Just a guess, but regardless, Farrah’s a horrible person.  And her enablers, Michael and his fiancé, watch her abuse people left and right, and sit and do nothing.  It’s gross to watch.

Great point.  She also accused the EP, Morgan Freeman, of acting in a hostile and inappropriate manner towards her in her lawsuit (in the scene they were going to show tonight, but evidently tabled for next week).

Michael does more than just sit back when Farrah is verbally abusing people, he also goes on Twitter defending her horrible behavior. He must really be on he gravy train. It is hard for me to imagine anyone spending any time with her as she is intolerable. She r must think that this porn career is going to last forever and she can give up MTV or live off the proceeds of her law suit. If you are doing web cam porn, are you an independent contractor?  I guess that is the ideal job for her; she doesn't need to interact with anyone but the camera.  How many houses has Farrah looked at over the course of this series? I have PCOS and I really don't think Maci does. I think it's a condition she lightly googled when she needed to lie about her pregnancy and now she has to stick with the storyline because it's out there in the world.

As I was trying to summarize 8 years of this shit fest to dh tonight,  I started wondering - with all the collective therapy/rehab these folks have been through in their young lives,  why is it that none of them seems to have regular regular therapist sessions at home.  While my heart broke for T&C, how on earth would they possibly think this would be the right time to bring another life into their world?  Where is the therapist that can bring rational thought into these folks' lives and help them see that maybe they should ALL take a step back and nurture the lives and relationships they already have before adding even so much as a hamster to their life?  Watching Cate go from "it wasn't a good time for a baby"  to "I thought of every possible way to kill myself" in the space of hours was not healthy or helpful for anyone.

I don't mean to sound callous but I wonder how much of Cates miscarriage had to do with her constant smoking and poor diet. Not saying she deserves it @ all!! I don't think she even goes for walks, I think that would benefit her greatly. And I know her anxiety after the miscarriage probably amped up the smoking. But damn I could almost smell the cigarette smoke coming out of my TV. 

I couldn't imagine having suicidal thoughts while having a daughter, especially as young as Nova, that's truly heartbreaking.

You’d need a doctor’s order if you want your insurance to pay for it. If you check out your local Groupon, you’ll find labs in your area that provide tests without a physician’s involvement.

I pray that Catelynn gets another IUD put in, stat. She and Tyler are definitely not in a good place to have another baby right now. I hope she gets the help she needs, but I tend to doubt that another 30-day stint (probably with no professional aftercare - likely just occasional visits with Kinko's Kathleen) is going to meet her needs.

I felt bad for Tyler. He can be a jerk, but things have been intense for him lately. One week he is driving his dad to treatment, the next his wife.
