I hate Margarita.  She's the whiniest contestant ever.  I haven't liked her for at least 3 weeks now.  I definitely am not a fan of Claire or her sister but M&M made me feel sorry for her.

Michael and Margarita both telling the camera they could have handled that differently. No, really? You think? I'm no fan of Claire, but that was all for the dramatics and wanting to cause drama and attention and was completely ridiculous. I now am waiting for you two to go home. 

Anyway, I don't know what the hell Shopkins are, but judging from the looks of them, this could actually be a pretty cool Avant Garde challenge. We shall see.

I don't like that M&M were all we didn't mean for you to go home. So you were totally cool knowing she was cheating. Amy was shocked to hear about the ruler and called it cheating the second she heard.

First I was wondering who Brandon is blackmailing or sleeping with for all his wins. But his designs did look good on the cups.

No matter what happens the rest of the episode the win goes to Yolanda "are you a judge on this show."

While I don't like Margarita, I have no sympathy for Cheaters. The twins were blatant copy-cat designers and now confirmed cheaters. I have no sympathy nor do I feel bad about the outcome. Claire knew that what she was doing was wrong and did it anyway. And her blase attitude when Tim questioned her about it was very off-putting. So buh-bye! Thems the breaks!

oh, and I LOVED the look on Amy's face and her reaction when she started to put the pieces together and realized what had been going on during the off-hours.

EDITED: and Kentaro wins the whole night with the lesson for the day: "Don't bring the tape measures!" LOL

I have to say that Claire got me when she told Michael that they should have come to her and discussed it instead of doing it on the runway.  It really makes those whisperings in Spanish right in front of her seem even more nasty.  And she defended herself to them but it was clear they had no interest.

More seriously, I agree that Claire had no defense.  If she was not aware of the rules (which I doubt)' that's on her because she should have been. Amy knew right away it was cheating.  And let's face it - the twins have been playing fast and loose with the rules all throughout the competition.

As far as Claire, even though Michael throwing a tantrum was the wrong way to handle it, Claire cheated. We all know that Shawn also used the tape measure while she was there. Claire’s “You should’ve talked to me” is nonsensical puffery since she would’ve denied it and gotten rid of the tape measure.

 

I will defend her on copying Margarita’s blouse since Claire changed her look after Tim’s critique.

 

EDIT: Claire would’ve kept using the tape measure if she wasn’t called out.

Maybe I'm a foolish optimist,  but I don't put Margarita and Michael in the same boat. Margarita was crappy to her model a few weeks ago. Michael has been respectful in all of his interviews.  I truly think he has a sense of fair play and was bothered by Claire's shenanigans.

I love the maturity and level-headedness Amy brings to the workroom, but I think she should be going home.  That is a snoozer.

Batani really did not capitalize on her second chance.  That dress looks like the pile of wrapping paper left in the aftermath of Christmas.

It's crazy, and a big chunk of it is Liris selling the hell out of it, but I kind of love Ayana's big pink confection.

I love how the show misdirected everything and made it about ripped off designs when it was really about cheating. Claire got a very kind edit.

I remember the first cheating scandal. Someone saw the books in the room, told Tim, and the guy was kicked off. End of story. It was handled just like it should be.

Instead, Michael, Margarita and anyone else who saw Claire (and/or Shawn) using banned items in the rooms and cheating kept it to themselves until Claire was about to win lots of money. So the cheating was okay until then? Why was it suddenly an issue ... apparently from what they said they've been doing it for quite some time.

This just smells like manufactured drama.
