Hahahaha this is so funny! I absolutely can't believe that blog is for real. Did you see the part where they said to click more to learn about Leah? Leah was saying that homemaking was so much better than being miss America, and a few other titles similar to that. Last time I checked, most people don't wake up and say, "hmmmm, do I want to be miss America, or a SAHM?" It's not like miss America is a permanent job that lasts from 9-5 every day. The other things she listed were bizarrely not jobs either. It made me think...DOES this girl even know what a job is?

As we have discussed Jana over the years, I have always held out a secret hope for her. I know she has witnessed a lot and we may never know her reasoning for staying single and not courting. But there has been speculation that she has turned down prospective suitors and she was the only one that publicly declared (to my knowledge - and recollection) the type of man she would like to marry. This just makes the think that she has had the choice to say “no”. Now of course, we won’t know this is true until maybe someday someone writes a “tell all”. She has watched her sisters eagerly marry and has seen those outcomes and not the results probably not pan out as promised. I secretly hope that she is choosing to do what she can under the constraints she is given. We all know she was reported as “willful” and sent to “ Journey of the heart” to be broken and kept in line.  Whether she is married off for ratings  stays as a SAHD remains to be seen. But if is true that she has turned down suitors while her sisters have seemingly jumped at the chance to Court and marry remains to be seen. I can only imagine that her sister’s eagerness to marry and subsequent aftermath has given her even more to consider. In all of this, if she has been allowed to put her foot down and say “no”, even in her very different world, it gives me hope for her. I know this is ijust my opinion and everything she does could be completely for show, but I hope not. I’m still going to hold out hope for whatever form of rebellion/ different path she can have in the life she was born into..  I can still secretly hope!

Saw a headline the other day, yahoo's home page or facebook I believe, stating Jana is still at home because one of the the younger children is actually hers. I can't imagine how she'd feel seeing that.

This was debunked months ago. We’ve been seeing Michelle pregnant on TV for years. Years. We’ve seen Jana not pregnant on TV for years. Years.  Jana will be 28 next month. Exactly how old was she to have a baby older than the ones we’ve seen on TV and just which child would it have supposedly been ?

Oh how incredibly frustrating it must be to be Jana and JD. They don’t appear to enjoy the attention (in my estimation) thrust upon them by their parents need to be on television so many years ago. Every picture we see is taken and posted by someone else. Jana can’t make a move without intense speculation as to what it means. Possible suitors publicly shooting down courting rumors, etc. She’s had to endure her bizarre upbringing and now she is constantly in the public limelight for every sighting.  She was so young when the show started and had no control over having her life chronicled forever.  She seems to me to be private, while other siblings clearly love the attention. Of course this is only my estimation but it sure would make me nuts if I was exposed like that. I just can’t see JD saying ‘Yeah,post my picture too!” It’s just my take on it but it really is sad. SMH.

Yes!  I ended up watching SNLs parody of A Christmas Carol. FLOTUS asked POTUS to come help her set up the Nativity Scene because Mrs Pence wouldn’t want her husband “playing with dolls”.  I was slayed, because all I could think of was how that was a page right out of the Jim Boob Playbook.

JD & Jana also remember the hard times pre-TV show and the laundry room meltdown very clearly because of their age (and Josh as well, although since he was Michelle's golden child and the first male heir, I suspect he was somewhat shielded from it). Jana and JD both just look like they have seen some shit.  I'd be a pretty damn private person, too, if I clearly remembered what the lean days were like and knew what skeletons were in the family closet but had to go along with the public family image because I knew what life was like with a gazillion siblings living in a 3 bedroom house eating whatever love offerings were dropped off.

What I find interesting about the girls when it came to finding someone suitable to court is how they talk about the creeps who came calling. How ironic is that especially having Josh as a brother. What he did goes beyond being a major creep. It also grosses me out when Jill and Jessa said they went to their dad and Josh in order to find out how to kiss. There is not enough brain bleach in the universe to erase that image out of my mind.

Well, who else would they ask?  I agree it's disgusting, but they aren't allowed to know or interact with any married people socially when they're singletons, and especially not underage singletons, as we've learned retroactively from Jana.  They aren't allowed to admit they have kissed if they're single and uncourting, so even if JD or Jana had outer-circle friends attending real Christian colleges who have engaged in light petting sessions who could've been applied to instead, the friends probably wouldn't have wanted to admit it.  I also thought it was pretty much an open established secret that Josh was caught looking at porn on some computer in connection with Jim Holt's Senate campaign/headquarters, so it's also a pretty safe assumption that any Duggar computers in primary traffic areas have indecency filters up the ying-yang whenever possible, so it's eminently possible they can't even sneak  "French kissing" past.  (Which is a primary reason why I have humongous doubts that Joy and Austin did the deed before the wedding, because damn, you can't even figure out how to kiss in the Duggar family; and also why I don't really have any doubts that Jessa believes her blather about Josh just being a curious traditional typical little scamp and that feeling her up was no big.  They've been brainwashed into believing it's such a nonentity as an action, that there isn't any reason why she shouldn't ask her molester for kissing tips.)

I also think it's possible that it never happened -- that it was part of a script that JB wrote. I think that -- from their perspective -- this anecdote shows how charmingly innocent the girls are, and how close the family is. I also don't think that the over-the-top squick factor really registers with them -- and it would have been over-the-top for me even before the Josh scandal.

You hit it on the nail or head. They were not allowed to ask questions about kissing because those type of thoughts were considered sinful and naughty. Reminds me of the one episode of The Golden Girls when Rose said people who constantly talked about sex were the ones who were not having it. I mean kids can become curious about sex and kissing, but it does not mean they will jump on someone in order to get a feel or kiss. I do remember the sex and birth control talk in PE class in high school and the way the boys were reacting to it. People thought we were all going to run out and have sex and the girls would get pregnant right away.

I think it depends on the context. Does everything in the world revolve around you? If not, then it's probably normal that your kids don't regularly thank you for having them.

Remember that the entire world revolves around J'chelle's magic uterus. She spent her valuable time incubating those two ingrates. She also nursed them for 6 whole months before handing them off to their 8 year old sister mom. They'd better say thank you.

Ha! I think they're both reasonably attractive, but Jed looks fairly similar to the other older brothers (minus Josh), which means his looks will start to decline quickly, whereas Jer (the one with the hat and darker, curlier hair) doesn't look quite as Duggar-ish.

I still can't keep track of which one is sinner twin. Jed? He was the one laying it on thick to "Momma" in the video, so I guess he's reformed, or learned to play along.
