Discussing the charges against Jana is fine, but do not post any information that reveals her address/contact information- even if said documents are public (i.e. a part of court proceedings.)

Discussing charges against Jana is NOT a jumping off point to speculate on other instances abuse/neglect etc towards the M-children or to elaborate on Josh's conviction and potential victims.

She can spare me the victim act.

You want a private life? Move out, get a private job, instead of living with your parents who never met a camera they didn't like. You didn't have a choice when you were a minor but you have had a choice now for THIRTEEN YEARS.

Darn right !!

Pps. oops, you probably wanted a link to the $450 fine thing..not KJ 😂

I don't know how accurate this is. I assume she got her information from Amy, who got hers from Jill, who got the story from James, etc. I suppose that we'll never know the truth since Jana has plead guilty and a minor was involved.

The interesting thing to me out of the story as reported here is that the first words out of Jana's mouth were a lie. Her first impulse was to immediately lie.

WOCB say that Jana plead guilty because she had already had already posted a "confession" and couldn't plead not guilty after doing that. I don't know if that's the case, but I do think she'd be in a difficult position and had to go in front of a judge and explain why the first words out of her mouth were a lie.

I don’t think this part is accurate. The Dailymail had her already accepting a plea deal the day after the news broke. They claimed they spoke to a court clerk so I would think they were accurate. Jana posted her “confession” much later.

Why? Because the Duggars lie. Apparently that’s not a “sin” in their world.

Wonder if Jana asked JB for the money?

Jana:  You just dropped to $500,000 for my guilty brother. The least you could do is pay the $450.

As much as I wish this conversation would have happened, I think it's more likely that she had to cry and grovel for it. Although if speculation that she's taking the fall for someone else is true, than maybe JB told her not to worry and that he's take care of everything.

Thanks, but it doesn’t sound like she really knows what happened in court. Also, it’s possible to pay costs to the court, even if you are in a deferral program and are not pleading guilty.  It’ll be easy enough to see the disposition after it’s resolved.

That extra money could be for the classes she might be required to take or probation fees.   Or court costs on top of the citation fine.

True. States differ on how they handle court costs, fines, fees, etc, But, normally paying money doesn’t necessarily mean you pleaded guilty. You could be paying community service fees, program fees, etc. and in the end the charge is dismissed.   Of course, maybe she did plead guilty. It just sounds like an odd thing to do for a person with no criminal history, when alternatives are usually available.  In fact, it’s been many years, since I’ve represented a person with a clean record who didn’t get a deferral agreement. Granted, I’m not in her state.  Time will tell.

I was pulled over on my way to work one very early morning when it was still dark. The cop said he thought I was driving a bit erratically (it was dark and rainy) and spoke to me through my window. I gave him my drivers license and registration, and he asked what was in the driver door pocket. I said I didn’t know, as it was my dad’s car (true). I think it was candy, lol. Anyway, the cop was very sweet to me and let me go with no warning, no ticket, no consequences whatsoever.  When I got to work, a couple guys said they saw me pulled over and wondered what had happened. When I told them, they were pissed because they had also been pulled over in the area , but treated quite differently, spoken to with hostility, and ticketed. I am a middle aged white woman, so I have a feeling that explains the difference . Anyway, just because one person gets away with something doesn’t mean another will. Unfair? Yes, but this is the world we live in. It all depends on the cop - they all make their own judgments about situations they encounter. Another cop may have let Jana go with only a warning. This one didn’t.

For sure! Imagine if the cop had brought the child home, and he found a poor, somewhat grungy young man in charge who said he had fallen asleep. Odds are that he would be charged for putting that child at risk.

You are SO RIGHT.  This is the world we live in and unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be getting better.

There are lots of reasons someone at 31 might need to ask their parents for a little financial help but it's horrible to me that the reason in this case is because AFAIK she has never had a job and lived with her parents as if she's some kind of unpaid servant.

I guess we'll know for sure on Jan. 10. That's the date of her scheduled court appearance. If there's no appearance, does that imply guilt? I only ask because she admitted her negligence in her statement.

Those cases are normally public record. In my state all you have to do is go to the clerks office and ask to see the file or go to a court computer terminal and look it up to see if there’s a disposition yet.  Maybe, someone will.

they must have a place in Branson, or grift a place from someone, since the 6 seater plane flew to Branson Sunday afternoon and came back yesterday.

Maybe they all stay over at JB's grand theater 😀

today same plane flew to Little Rock and back to Springdale with  a 2 hr turn around time

I saw the Little Rock flight. The as t cc tracks with Jessa saying they were spending today with the Seewalds. They don't have to be home until their church's Christmas Eve service tomorrow night

probably 6 passenger seats and the pilot maybe. among those shown, Elijah is the only licensed pilot.

duggar licenses are JD, Abbie, Jeer and Josiah.

ETA - JD has commercial pilot and flight instructor, Abbie - student pilot, Jeer - commercial pilot, Josiah, Elijah and Austin have private pilot

The youtube version is a bit longer and titled Duggar farm.  He seems loyal to the family but also has always kept in touch with his sister mom, Jill, and her family.  He also hangs out with Jason a lot (doesn't he work for his construction company as well?) and visits the Spivey's often. Hope he can continue to keep those relationships and that JB doesn't try to make him loyal to only Pops.
