Alexei was duped, plain and simple. He married Loren believing what she told him about Tourette's not being hereditary. Then finds out differently AFTER he marries her. It is a shock to hear your future child may have a diabilitating disease passed on through your partner. 

Should he have researched it himself before the marriage and not just simply taken her word for it? Yes of course he should have. But he didn't because he was young, in love and didn't know any better. But knowing what he does now, I wouldn't blame him a bit if he dumped her ass, went back to Israel and found himself another pretty young thing. He married her under false pretenses.

Why do people like Pao think any fool can walk into a bar and get a bartending job.  People usually work their way up and while it's not rocket science, it takes some skill and personality.  It can also be pretty lucrative.  Pao needs to be a shot girl in a club or something and Russ needs to be somewhere where he can work in his industry.

I'm going to give Alexei a pass for his initial reaction. I grew up with a special needs younger brother who is the absolute moon and stars to me. In my 40s I decided not to have children because of the likelihood of down syndrome. I knew I would love anything that I gave birth to but knowing all that my brother went through, I couldn't do it. I don't think that Tourettes is a big deal, but can understand neither of them wanting a child to bear the brunt of a hereditary condition.

I can't believe Loren didn't know either. Alexei reaction makes me believe he knew too. He said son twice, he was worried about his son and Tourette's. One of my close college friends has Tourette's which was a lot more severe then Loren. He was one of 10 kids and his dad had Tourette's and all 6 boys did but in various degrees, only one sister had it mild and 3 didn't have it. My friend was scared to pass it on. He got into a relationship with an ex polygamist with 7 kids because he wanted to be a dad but was so worried about passing on Tourette's.  At age 40 he called and said his wife was pregnant. It wasn't planned and he was worried, he hoped for a girl, his whole family hoped for a girl because girls are less likely to get it and get it less severe. Alexei saying he worries for his future son makes me feel like he knows it could be passed down and it is more likely to be passed to boys and worse for boys.

Did anyone else think Loren and Alexei place wasn't theirs? Would Loren decorate like that? I don't think so. I think either they still live with her parents or live farther away or in a place they can't film. I know some condos and apartments won't let people film so they rent places . 

 

Russ and Palo won't work because of money. They view money differently. If she has a new outfit and is looking good and hanging out with friends she is happy even if she is dead broke. Russ is a money saver planner. He needs savings and security.  I'm sure they had plenty of fun when he worked in Columbia with plenty of disposable income. I think he is more a partier then the show is letting us see. Now that he is facing losing money on selling a home, living on savings and unemployed , he has lost the party spirit.

I don't think Loren is Ashkenazi.  Look at her childhood picture and then look at her parents. Was she adopted?  She could be like Snooki,  who was born in Chile and adopted by Italian-Americans and raised as such.

I think the condo they are living in belongs to her parents. It seems that while they aren't ultra rich, they are comfortable enough to have a condo at the beach and another home. I believe they were subsidizing Loren's life in NYC.

Loren looks exactly like her mom in my opinion. She is super tan but she is defintiely Ashkenazi, from what I can tell.

Usually geneetic cousneling is for ultra-orthodox Jews who live in very insular circles.

Regarding Loren and Alexei (especially Alexei):  If they really want children with his genes, they can look into egg donation.  If there are issues regarding the "authenticity" of a donor egg's child being Jewish or not, they can convert the child.  It can be expensive, but it's worth looking into. #justsayin

Isn't she living with a couple of her model friends?  Right now Pao and Russ are staying in a hotel.  Can't imagine Russ moving in with Pao's friends.  But, will anyone even rent to them when neither has a job?  If I was Russ I'd get a job wherever it took me (IF there truly is nothing in Miami or OK) and tell Pao to either join him or live in Miami on her own.  You can't live the Miami lifestyle with no income no matter how much the city speaks to you.  Reality is a bitch.

Chantal needs to grow up,you're already married,you missed your chance at getting a bachelorette party when you chose to lie & keep your engagement a secret until 5 days before the wedding. Why is her teenage brothers approval so important? I wouldn't let someone with hair like that judge my relationship. 

 

Danielle is pathetic. She's always saying how mohamed didn't use her but then gets mad everytime he hangs out with a girl who is young,skinny & pretty. DING DING Danielle that's exactly why he left you once he got the green card,because he's not attracted to you. I'm more worried that her stupidity will be passed down to her kids then Loren passing down her  Tourette's. 

I just figured he was being a typical rather religious man and was just more concerned with it happening to his son because son's are more important.  You could be right too though....I was kinda sold on Lauren's reaction at the Tourettes place.  I find it plausible because she don't seem like a very curious person

Anytime I want to feel better about my own existence, I tune in to watch these bozos. 

Russ is the only truly decent one on this show. He seems like a responsible, realistic, and loving man. I would not have judged him harshly if he had reached across the table and socked Juan in the nose. Or given him a Texas Titty Twister that could be felt four states away. That dude was straight up rude and downright disgusting. My hatred of Pao has officially been solidified. She is so star struck by her own existence that it's revolting. I bet she asks her reflection for autographs anytime she passes a mirror. I. Loathe. Her. Russ deserves so much better.

Anfisa cracks me up. Her lip injections are SO SO SO bad. I've said it before and I'll say it again ... she looks like she sleeps with a Dyson hose attached to her lips with the vacuum on high. All night. Sleeping 10 solid hours. But at least she tells the truth. Jorge's existence just makes me really sad.

Danielle needs to just stop. Stop everything. Take Mo off Facebook and move on. Jeez. Out of sight, out of mind. She told that dude to leave her alone when she's the one who called and attacked HIM. Jeez.

Pedro and Chantal might have a chance if she could ever just grow up.  I loved them going to the house to help pack and the dining room table had place settings.  Like they have the table set every day and never put the dishes away.  The "good china."  So weird!  You know, Chantal, Pedro doesn't have to like your brother.  He doesn't have to like your family.  That's YOUR fault.  You lied and lied and lied to them and threw Pedro under the bus time after time.  YOU need to make that up to him.  But you are a spoiled little baby who can't stand up for him so it will never happen.

Oh, Pao.  You are delusional.  But with all the drama, you know who I felt the most sorry for in that whole "gang up on Russ" situation?  Juan's unnamed boyfriend who had to sit there mute while his foreigner boyfriend trashed someone he doesn't know while sucking up to his bestie.  You know, Unnamed Boyfriend, Juan can turn on you just like that when he's tired of you or your friends.  Food for thought.

Alexei and Loren, again, they both need to grow up.  He had strippers, she had strippers.  BFD. They need counselling STAT to figure out how to communicate with each other.  It's a skill you can learn, if you want to.  I think they might have the best chance of survival as a couple if they can just speak to each other.

 Pao really needs to wake up or she is going to lose Russ. You can't ask somebody who's got a chemical,  petroleum or mechanical engineering degree  and an established career to go slinging drinks at a bar. Even if he wanted to do it he would still have to be trained and have experience.

It's Russ who has a career, Paola, not you. If you consider taking cheesecake photos for a modeling agency in a strip center a "career" when they're not calling you out for work,  then you're sadly delusional. Miami life is not really going to be like vacation in Miami life. You can't just act like you're on a permanent vacation 24 /7.  You're doing this on your husband's money and mistreating him in the process. Yes you're very pretty. Colombian women are known for their beauty. There are just too many girls in Miami who are younger who look just like you. But remember this: pretty is as pretty does. 

There aren't too many places that Russ could go that would provide work for him as well as give Pso the sense of community she's looking for. Yeah we'd all like to be living the life in South Beach, but it does cost several thousand dollars a week for the experience.

Beth's behavior on this episode was disgusting. I see nothing funny about her showing her true bigot colors by telling Mohamed to go back to his poor country and family goat. Based on the way she presents, she's barely middle class, and less than a paycheck away from poverty. She's the last person I'd want to have a meal or beers with.

I don't think she cares if she loses him.  He was her route into the US. Now she is where she wants to be in Miami and he can kick rocks.  She is selfish. She's not 20 years old. There's no way. Remember that all her plastic surgery thus far has been paid for by men. She's also traveled around the world with several different men, particularly going to popular vacation destinations with them (including Jorge). On top of all that, she and Jorge were involved for over a year before they applied for the K-1 visa. So if she's 20 years old, then she's been prostituting herself since she was 14 or 15 years old. When you consider the infinitesimally small odds that they actually met the way Jorge claims - that he stumbled across her profile on Facebook - then it makes the likelihood that she is actually 20 even more unlikely.

Think about the way they supposedly met. There are three ways I can imagine he found her Facebook profile. Of those, only one would support the story that she's 20 years old and also support the story that they met on Facebook. So, here's the three ways I can imagine he found her profile:

1. He spent unimaginable, countless hours tediously going from profile to profile (and probably through the friends lists of these profiles) to finally find Anfisa's profile.
2. He subscribes to a porn site and watched her porn cam livestream, then found her on Facebook.
3. She created a profile on Facebook, then spammed male profiles with friend requests.

Let's think about these. I don't think anyone has the patience or motivation required to start looking through random profiles on Facebook until you find an attractive woman and then start messaging her trying to get her to "go out with you". This is just completely absurd and totally preposterous. Consider that this is coming from someone who used Facebook to find his biological daughter from the relationship prior to meeting his wife, which means I at least had a name to start with and a general idea of what this person would look like. Even with that advantage, it still took me several months and many, many hours to actually find her profile.

The second way he could have found her profile seems much more likely to me. Firstly, Jorge is clearly the type of person who would not only pay for porn, but also would pay to watch cam girls livestream because that gives him some human interaction. I've met many men like him who are some degree of overweight, have low self-esteem, have low self-confidence, and who have very little experience and success with women and dating. The nice ones (and Jorge is one of those) tend to think they can buy their way into a woman's heart; the ones that are not nice end up strictly sexually objectifying and demeaning women and become misogynist users. I've known both types personally and the only thing the nice ones have going for them is they are able to change. Based on some of what Jorge said and how he acted in this latest episode, it looks to me like he's on the road to becoming one of the not nice ones - and those guys are fucking scary. Lastly, consider that she is currently a cam girl on Pornhub, which means she has no personal proscription against engaging in such activity. This means it's entirely reasonable she was a cam girl before and that this is how she and Jorge met.

I can also see them meeting on Facebook in this third way, as well. I've gotten many unsolicited friend requests (until I disabled the ability for randos to friend request me) from female profiles where the user has put up many pictures like the ones they've shown of Anfisa. You know the type of photo: scantily clad, sexily (or "sexily", depending on each person's preferences) posed. At a superficial level, the profile is designed to elicit compliments from men. At a deeper (and more sinister) level, it's designed to fish for suckers like Jorge: single men with little success with women who have disposable cash (or cash they're willing to dispose of, even if it's against their best interests to do so) and are trying to find someone that makes them feel better about themselves and their lives. These men may or may not be looking for "the one", and it doesn't matter. The times I've been able to verify that the profile was set up by the woman pictured, that woman has always been involved in the porn industry or was a prostitute (or "escort" as they tend to prefer to code themselves).

I figure they met in one of the latter two ways, and I can see arguments for both. Either way, when you take the activity she'd be involved with in both scenarios along with the fact she's had her cheeks, lips, nose, chin, breasts, and butt surgically altered, the statements she's made about going on trips with other men, and the amount of time she and Jorge have been involved up to and including the present, all together it means she's definitely not 20. I figure she's the type of woman who will be 20 years old for the next 20 years.

I agree with you that Jorge is the worst of the two. Anfisa has always said who she is and, even though she's a horrible and underdeveloped caricature of a person, I can respect that. I'd rather deal with someone who represents themselves honestly and accurately, even if I don't like them. I know I talked a lot about her being a cam girl or involved in porn, I'm actually not judging her for doing this. Whether she's involved in porn or doing any other thing to make a living, including working minimum wage jobs, it's all the same to me: Those jobs are going to be filled by someone, and there is no reason to judge people for what they do for a living. To me, one career is no less respectable than any other career.

As for Jorge's attractiveness, I think he looked fine when they were on 90DF. Even now, he doesn't look terrible (though I think he has gained some weight). His problem is his personality and what he believes about himself, which affects how he carries himself and how he interacts with and treats other people (particularly women). He needs to spend some time with a counselor/therapist and do some serious introspection and self-improvement. If he did that, he'd realize that feminism and feminists are not evil ball-busters and that there are plenty of women (American or no) with whom he could have a happy relationship and a fulfilling life. Jorge seems to me to be emotionally stunted and stuck at a 15-year-old or 16-year-old level, especially given his apparent understanding of things (particularly how relationships work). As much as I love his sister Lourdes, I think him being in such close contact with his sisters is actually against his own best interests. I think they tend to mother him without realizing it, which keeps him stuck in his 15/16-year-old emotional maturity level and thwarts any real attempts he may make at self-discovery.

I have never been able to use that word before, either. As soon as it was said on TV, I recalled that line from Weird Science. I started laughing so hard my wife paused the show and asked me what was so funny. I have this ability to remember all kinds of pop culture stuff without even really trying (including things such as who is married to whom); I just hear about it or see it mentioned online or on a TV show and it's almost permanently recorded. And I can recognize actors' faces and almost always remember what other things I have seen them in (such as recognizing Adam Scott when he was in The Good Place last Fall and instantly recalling him as being in The Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio).

Jorge seems to me to be emotionally stunted and stuck at a 15-year-old or 16-year-old level, especially given his apparent understanding of things (particularly how relationships work). As much as I love his sister Lourdes, I think him being in such close contact with his sisters is actually against his own best interests. I think they tend to mother him without realizing it, which keeps him stuck in his 15/16-year-old emotional maturity level and thwarts any real attempts he may make at self-discovery.

I have never been able to use that word before, either. As soon as it was said on TV, I recalled that line from Weird Science. I started laughing so hard my wife paused the show and asked me what was so funny. I have this ability to remember all kinds of pop culture stuff without even really trying (including things such as who is married to whom); I just hear about it or see it mentioned online or on a TV show and it's almost permanently recorded. And I can recognize actors' faces and almost always remember what other things I have seen them in (such as recognizing Adam Scott when he was in The Good Place last Fall and instantly recalling him as being in The Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio).

I use that word all the time. LOL. The first time I heard it on Weird Science I am like - lol they used a Greek word!

This show does a great job of making the Americans look crappy.  Or better yet: the Americans do a great job of doing it themselves.  Loren and Alexi?  Leave the damn bachelorette party alone, be friends with whoever and stop forcing them on your husband.  My fiance has a friend who I find a bit abrasive, fine.  They go out sporadically and I don't join them.  No biggie.  

I hope Alla and Matt are happy!!  His weird friend Patrick needs to find a new guy to have a crush on now.

I don't understand why everyone feels the need to have a bachelor|ette party that includes strippers. When I got engaged to my wife, I told her brothers in no uncertain terms that strippers were verboten and that planning to have any there would damage my relationship with them (my brothers-in-law). We had a good time with no strippers.

Also, you're right that one does not need to be friends with all of one's spouse's friends. They can like people that you do not. It's perfectly fine. You just don't do what Paola is doing.

As soon as management starts getting police complaints, they'll be out. This happened to a young couple who moved in across the hall from us early in our relationship. They'd get into terrible fights where she would kick him out for days at a time. He would come over to the apartment in the middle of the night, yelling and banging on the door. We complained to management several times about it; they didn't do anything until we started calling the police.

Yes - do your own thing with your own friends, fine.  Just don't be disrespectful towards your spouse/SO while you are out, ala Paolo.

Strippers:  Do people even do this anymore?  Good for you for laying down the law on the strippers.  I think nowadays guys will go out or play a round of golf followed by dinner.  I dunno....I am girl and I don't get invited to these things!!!

Don't feel bad, I watched it again tonight, too! My husband looked at me like I had 2 heads when I said it right before she said it, lol! I'm so glad he got to see it, now he knows why I've been sort of saying it all week. The other day we were in the car, my purse was hidden in the back seat, I had to say "Get my bag" and I almost screeched it like Anfisa, next time I will.

And on watching it again tonight, it made me hate Pao even more. She stood up for Juan instead of her husband!! They were all arguing and Juan said something like he knew Pao was unhappy and Russ said, "How do you know? You weren't even there!" and Pao turned around and said Juan knew because she called him about whatever it was. She jumped right on Russ to stick up for her "friend". Even her body language was betraying her, she was turned more toward Juan most of the time, other times she had her arms crossed over her chest. And how can you let your spouse walk off and not go after him?

Russ seems like a likeable, good head on his shoulders guy, I hope he wises up to her. I think she's full of shit.

I always tell Mr Evenstar "I go back to Russia" whenever he does something not to my liking. It makes for a good laugh. He's seen her in action, so he gets it.
