Omg, her eyes are extra crazy now after getting a way-too-tight facelift. She looks dreadful.

I think Luann has a pretty good surgeon, she looks good to me.

YES. Lu looks amazing. Whoever her plastic surgeon (or derm) is, she should give their name to the other ladies and consider it an act of kindness.

Thank you so much for posting this. I swear to god, I was lying in bed last night trying to sleep when I thought to myself - wait, did it say TOMMY'S cookies??? I thought I was going to have to go through the episode again to find out. I, too, am dying to know who gave that to him. Nice pad though, Tommy. Cookies and all.

Ah, I will always love Beth. I'm one of those weirdos who thinks of all the housewives on all these shows kind of like family. I might not like each of them all the time, but I love them. They all have their good, bad, and hilarious moments for me. The only one who ever pushed me past the point of no return was Brandi but thankfully I didn't have to deal with her for much longer after that happened. Carole often annoys the crap out of me, but I'm always kind of amused by her. As someone who is obsessed with politics (and always has been), I could really use a Bethenny to come talk to me the way she did to Carole last night. Talk me down, someone!

I was surprised to see how outdated Ramona's kitchen was.  That was some 60's or 70's tiles in there!  Her apartment doesn't seem to be as big as I initially thought it was.  And who acts like that with a contractor?  Bouncing around in flimsy lingerie, then asking if he knows anybody she can date - wow!  Tacky.

Don't forget the HUG as he was leaving.  She's just insufferable and looks horrible.

She was on WWHL last night, she let it grow out a few inches, has side bangs again and some waves in it. It looked really nice.

I still think she should fire whoever cuts her hair.  It looks like it is thinning.  If that is the haircut, shame on the cutter.  If that is the fact that her hair is thinning then a good cutter can make it look thicker.  So my problem is not the style but the way that layered cut is making her hair look.

She also said that she bought a new apartment.  Well dammit!  That is the only reason I follow snap with her is to see the reno.  I am not interested in all the puppy nonsense nor her singing in her car.  I want real estate porn.  So hopefully that will be a story arch for her.  She and Erik have been pals when she didn't have the money to rent a movie.  So that is kinda fun now that they are making money.  And he does grab her out of the make up chair when a unit in her current building came up.  I think it was something she could combine.

Wow, so Luann's story is going to be Tom cheating?  All season?  I can't.  I would rather watch Carole and Adam settle in to domestic bliss, gag.

Tinsley save us.

It's good to see Ramona is still the twitchy awkward person we have all grown to know...that toast to Luann was beyond stupid, "I hope you don't fall on your face with this marriage" was inappropriate to say the least.  Why on earth did Luann not get up and leave is beyond me.

Ramona and her contractor...yikes! Just that, yikes. Side story, I did a lot of renovations in my house last year and the reason I did so much was the fact that my contractor is so flipping hot, like crazy hot but married, kids, 10 years younger and oh yeah...I am happily married.  I am broke but the kitchen, master bath and flooring look amazing.  LOL.

Did I see huge rips in Carole's couch?  By the look of the swatches on the back of the couch she must be looking to re upholster but I would stay as close to the original tiger stripe as possible, something about a statement couch with history needs to stay the same. IMHO.

Bethenny selling her apartment in one day for the full asking price seemed a little to convenient.

Sonja had tags on all of her clothes she was donating, that purple blouse she wore when she dated Prince Andrew (yeah, right) had a tag on it...what is really going on with all that?  She could have been donating all the clothing from her fashion line that never saw the inside of a store.

Is Jill coming back this season?  I thought I saw her on a coming attraction.

I think it was confirmed that she will appear in at least one episode, but that she only filmed with Lu.  So, it will be in relation to Lu's wedding I imagine.

Ha ha well we can form the teeniest-tiniest club ever! LOL I still like Carole too. Bethenny .... ehh most I do not like, but she does come up with a funny line now and then.  I actually chuckled out loud at her TH comment about Sonja's "yacht pants" when they were doing the clothing/charity scene.

And (in a voice that only dogs can hear...) I actually liked her new haircut with the bangs.

  • Love 9

What is wrong with Carole's voice?  I didn't even recognize her when she said her opening tag line, and in her TH's, she sounds completely different.

I'm not going to assume Lu has an open marriage because of these gossipy bitches.  Ramona calling Tom's exes was so crossing the line.

I still haven't warmed up to Dorinda.....she's playing both sides and I despise people who do that.  Plus, she was mean to my girl Heather back in the day.

Oh Ramona, I cannot believe you think gutting a kitchen as opposed to just replacing the cabinet doors is saving you money.  You are such an idiot.  At her lunch with Dorinda, between her crazy messy ponytail, her screeching voice and flailing arms, she looked and sounded like a loon.  I hate her stupid laugh.  My DH was sleeping next to me, and I had to keep lowering the volume during Ramona's scenes.

I share Carole's despair over the election, and I am ok if she discusses it.  I am also happy that she and Adam are still enjoying life together.

Sonja is just sad, sad, sad.

Well, wouldn't you be happy if you made almost 7 million in one day?  I'd be pretty happy too.  I'm surprised that Fredrik was so off the mark on pricing her apartment.  On MDLNY, he is usually more on the money, so to speak, when setting pricing.  I'm thinking this was a set-up for Fredrik and Bethenny, so B could come across as a know-it-all (thanks, Heather!!!), even in real estate.  Fredrik dealt with it, because he knew he would be able to get the price and a big fat commission, too!

I do get what you're saying about Bethenny overall, though.  She doesn't seem as manic {yet} or harried.  Maybe having her divorce finalized has given her some inner peace?  I do think she's still a bitch, and still has too many nasty words for too many things, but we're seeing her smile a little bit more.

I would definitely be happy to make 7 million in a day!  But just overall, in pretty much every interaction, I thought she seemed happy, and yes, definitely less manic and harried, and less snippy, tearful, anxious compared to last season.

I think you are right about her finalized divorce bringing her some peace.

When your storyline completely revolves around other people....bad news. Also, who was she on that "date" with, breezing in with her big sunglasses and fluffy fur? Someone from the cast of Almost Famous?

Agreed. Judging by Bethenny's reaction, this is something Carole does. A lot. I appreciate people who are aware of what is going on in the world and who have strong opinions. But you can't let yourself get so wrapped up that that's ALL you talk about. It's exhausting.

Is it possible to be apolitical on this board and still enjoy Carole losing her shit over the election? I think so.

I'll find that entertaining if that's the edit we get.  It's like having all kinds of opinions about Sonja's drinking while watching with a glass of wine.  Let's see losing her shit.  Just like I do not need to see B lose her shit over Hoppy.  If Carol thinks this is a 2 season arch then she'll lose me.  If Luann thinks I'll find it interesting to watch her defend her marriage and eternal love of Tom for another, then she'll lose me to.  It's losing your shit and your friends/enemies being helpful/fedup/mean about it.  That's the whole series.  So I'll be ok.

Echoing everyone else- Ramona & Carol looked like they had major work done and it looks awful. Lu & Dorinda both looked really good. Sonja looks the same, and B's haircut is too severe.

I'm torn on the election storyline- it happened, they should address it, but, like many on here, I just don't know if I'm ready to re-live November 2016.

I feel for LuAnn. I think it's one of those situations where you unexpecedly meet someone you click with, so many things about the relationship  seem perfect, and you just can't bring yourself to acknowledge this HUGE glaring problem. She's annoyed that the other women are talking about it and trying to force her see it. She knows, she's just choosing to forge ahead anyway, and wants everyone else to play along with her denial.

This episode was actually kind of boring. I was all excited, had my glass of wine poured, etc., but was playing around on my phone halfway through.

Face it, this show is all about women fighting and feuding and making up and not making up. The reason that Dorinda is a fan fave is because she lets it all hang out, gets wasted and screams. Once the women start wanting to craft a persona (e.g. Lu the happy wife, B the strong businesswoman, Ramona the happy divorcee, Sonja the sexpot) or are hell bent on hawking their shit (Beth for sure) the show loses something. Carole has tried to carefully craft  the persona of single girl in the city, ex newsperson, a cross of Carrie Bradshaw and Mary Richards. She is so tightly controlled that I  for one am looking forward to watching her get real.

Poor Carole with the younger boyfriend feeling that she needs to resort to plastic surgery to remain youthful enough to keep him. It's actually aging her. Carole now looks like an older woman desperately trying to look younger.

I'm no fan of Carole, but maybe I'm softening a bit.  She does admit that her relationship is what it is for today--not a fairy tale romance but it fills a need for now.  I dated a younger guy for a short bit and although he played drums on the dashboard of my car, he brought me coffee in bed so I dealt with it as long as possible.

As for her plastic surgery --I'm a woman in my 60's now and I'm considering a little "updating'.  It's between a rock and a hard  place because the signs of cosmetic surgery does--in it's own way--betray one's aging.  I spent much of this episode pausing and staring at their faces trying to see exactly what I was seeing.  I enjoyed looking at Dorinda's face for its (I'm supposing) authenticity.  A real face is so rare now. it's actually fascinating.

I don't think Carole's surgery is about keeping Adam.  Some people age with a beauty.  I'm not in that category and either is Carole. There is 'ugly old' and I'd like to not deal with that.  Even if people can tell I've had some work they're not going to see my 'Dorian Gray' side, so I'm  okay with it.  The sun sets regardless.

In her scene with Dorinda, I really noticed the difference between the two. Dorina looked good and natural while Ramona verged on freakish. Her nose also looked weird to me and different. I noticed it and don't remember noticing it in the past.

I agree, but Ramona is I think eight years older than Dorinda, and speaking from experience, the downhill slide between 50 and 60 can be significant.

Dorinda has an advantage because she beautiful skin--it looks to me like she's done a good job of staying out of the sun--and Ramona's has always looked a little rough.  I also think Dorinda has always looked older than she is--just something about her mien.  And if that's the case, she's going to age more gracefully.  Or less surprisingly, I guess.

Quote

Damn, Luann has nice legs! Her knees looked airbrushed they were so smooth, that is a hard spot to make look good on anyone at any age.

Well, the age of anyone on this show.  When I was in my 40s, I was in a dance class with a bunch of early-20s types, and they had beautiful knees.  That's actually how I realized that knees can fall--we were all in a row in front of mirrors and a scan about 2 feet up told the tale.

Luann's defy science.

Presumably she didn't pay zero for the apartment, so it's not all profit.  Although in Bethenny's telling it probably will be, even though she's been paying maintenance and whatnot on it for years and years--that will eat into the profit, too.  Not to mention the significant mental anguish from the scuff marks that affects the bottom line.

I've never had a bridal shower and have the great fortune to have been to only a couple, so I'm no expert, but I thought it was funny that Sonja complained that when she was at Luann's shower, she was telling Luann about her show and Luann kept the focus on herself.  I thought that's what showers were for.

Exactly, she didn't make 7 million. She sold it for 7 million.  Anybody know what she paid for it and if she had a mortgage to pay off? No doubt she made a nice profit. That's the beauty of real estate in NYC. You could sell a peice of crap shoebox apartment that's falling apart and still make a profit. But Bethenny making 7 million. No, not even close.

This is my favorite sentence ever. It says so much so simply. I want it on a t-shirt, a coffee mug, and an embroidered sampler.

Putting aside the face work the various ladies have had done in the off season, did anyone else notice both Dorinda and Ramona having a kind of apricot-tinge to their hair in their talking heads? Or do I need a new TV?

Scare-hole's political diatribe reminded me of a little incident I had with some guy in the veggie department of the local super.

I picked up some produce and saw that the plastic bag dispenser was empty, I walked over to where there WERE some PBs on the roll.

Another shopper got to the dispenser at the same time that I did, so I made some off hand comment about having to work to get a bag.

Nothing about politics.

He looked at me and said something about the candidates and how "we have them by the Conejos".

Huh?

I thought for a second and said, "You mean cojones, Conejos means rabbits."

In espanol, cojones is a slang term for balls/testicles, Conejos are rabbits....

This asshole was SOOOOO gung-ho about HIS politics, he couldn't even think of the right term to use.

I agree. It's always bugged me when women (of any age in adulthood) call themselves girls, like the word "woman" demands a euphemism or something.  I cringe when Carole (or anyone) says it, but somehow more from Carole because she puts herself out there as a progressive, and I find that act kind of regressive.

I don't have a problem with women once in a while using "girls" to refer to themselves or their group of friends, but Carole does it all the time.  She seems to think if she says is enough it will be true.  Sorry, not happening.  I might address my friends sometimes with a "Hi girls!"  but we all know we're women and I don't use it every single time.  Personally I find the term woman or lady to be empowering.  Girls can't do too much, but women can!!!  And I try to act like a lady.

Cookie was always such a really mean dog. She didn't just bark but she used to nip at anyone that came around. Funny how the personality takes after the owner. Speaking of pets, Carole just remodeled her home and has let the "kit-ins" rip her new sofa to shreds. If she's letting the "kit-ins" tear up a new sofa makes me think the litter box is probably full and Adam is there cooking for people in that small space with the dander etc.

It might be worth having Trump win just to see them try to over act on election night. Carole is just saying she's s former Journalist, she really wants to remind all of us that her husband was cousins with JFK jr and Caroline on Jackie Os side, which is impressive on its own merit, but The rest of the kennedys are NOT related to your deceased husband but she really wants to have that feeling of importance on election night.

Adam is now free loading in her apartment? I don't really get those two. The man is about 30 maybe he's an "Ashton Kutcher" type and is eventually going to say he wants a family?

Those old pictures she posted of herself, she looks way better now then 15 years ago.

How long did it take for Ramona to fess up to the boob job? One entire season I think. Sonya was giving the most ragged looking shoes to charity and should be ashamed. I don't care if they are Gucci, used shoes are gross any way on anyone unless worn once.

I think LuAnn is cheap. She has the Hamptons house but Has she had her own place in the city since the count? That first season after divorce she fake shopped for apartments? Then I assume she live with Jack for a few years (don't remember it being filmed) then last year she lived with Sonya. And last night she so proudly showed every inch of Toms home. Either she has been really cheap the past years, or she has run out of money.

Seriously think about it. Noel is a few years over 18 now. Can you imagine the child support money she was getting legally for two kids from the Count? Yes she's still rich but when that child support ends that's a huge cut into her income let's be real. And she's the Counts 4th wife. Is the old man keeping up a current woman and four ex wives? That's why she's madly in love. Plus Tom doesn't have the financial baggage of an ex wife, alimony, kids, child support. He has other baggage (slutting around NYC, but Lu had that baggage also) but she's willing to ignore that.

Bethenny saying Lu may have more money than Tom? I don't think so or Lu would have had a Manhattan homestead these past years. Maybe she did, but I truly only remember seeing her film in her Hamptons home. She even had to let Rosie go after the divorce. I do think her lifestyle changed after that divorce. I am curious about Toms money now after seeing that apartment.

That's not to say that I cosign everything they do.  I LOATHE B's haircut on her.  I also didn't like the preview of her being disrespectful to Carole when Carole was talking politics.  It IS a big deal to some of us and we don't expect our friends to act like assholes.  How about a please stop talking about it rather than being dismissive?  I usually don't like politics invading hw space but it was going on and it is still going on.  If its a reality show, its their reality so I think its appropriate.  In my opinion debating EACH OTHER would be inappropriate for a reality show forum but Carole is political.  Its who she is and what she was doing at the time.

I don't think I can go through another season of Ramona telling us how she is having the time of her life. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

And to quote B, I want them all to "get off Tom's jock". Yes he seems like a sleazy POS, but Luann is over 50, and she picked him. She obviously knows exactly what she is getting into. If they want and open relationship, that's their business. Moaner calling Tom's exes was so out of line, as is the rest of them gossiping about whether he is faithful. Clearly Luann doesn't give a crap. That apartment, sans the "Tommy's cookies" looked fab.

Sonja not surprisingly is still delusional. Prince Albert? LOL . And the clothing she was giving to B was ridiculous. Her show sounds gross.

Dorinda likes playing both sides doesn't she? She sits with Ramona and nods her head and says yes yes when Ramona gossips about Tom and Lu, and then tells Lu how badly the others are talking about her.

Most outrageous things I heard was B saying that she will only attend Lu's wedding if she can pimp her skinny girl crap out. I mean seriously, who does that?

Someone who has NO intention of going!

Dorinda is spot on in her assessment of Carole being much more invested in Adam than he is in her.  Dating is one thing but living together is another and ending when you're living together can be difficult and probably devastating for Carole when that time eventually comes. He has said that he does want children and I don't think a basket of ki-ins is going to change his mind when he gets closer to 35. Her face is proof she is desperate to keep him. If I was better at posting pictures we could see her face morph from gaunt and equine to puffy and Mama Elsa scary.

Lu is over the top with her wedding and the various showers but seeing as how she married in jeans the first time and never had are-do or vow renewal I kind of get it. Plus she has to prove how happy she is.

Biggie and Smalls are cute but really? And Carole calling it gangster, ugh, if she's going to be a teen be a teen from this decade (century)

Also, was that a photo of Sonja and her daughter on vacation? The girl should be of age and can be on tv if they want. She said her name for the first time but I forgot it already. Anyway I froze that photo and if that's her daughter? Her daughter looks so old in that picture. Or Sonja wanted the appearance of "we look like sisters"

i always want my daughter to look like a million dollars, I'm obviously her mother and not in a competition with her. It was just a strange vibe I got from that photo. I would love to see Sonyas daughter and how they interact.
