I only watched part of last year because Bethenny (wicked witch of the East) couldn't keep herself from criticizing everyone and everything. 15 minutes in and she's managed to insult her realtor, ex husband and a couple of housewives. Sonja looks like a dog. Shut up.

Carol looks weirdly puffy in her first scene, a little like Mama Elsa from the Miami franchise. Dorinda looks good.

Ramona, Mama Cass called and wants the vest she was buried in back. Ramona is projecting. Her husband was a cheating MoFo and she thinks Luann's future husband will be too. Just leave it, crazy eyes.

Loved the real estate porn during this episode. It was a welcome respite from listening to all these women still obsessing over Tom. Luann is the only one who should still be fixated on him right now. Everyone else just needs to let it go already!

Carole looked like she had some work done. Everyone else looked good. But boring.

You know how when you break up with someone you've been with for a long time, and, as time goes on your memories get better and you're sure if you're given just one more chance it will be the most incredible thing ever?  And then you get that chance and the reality is that that person is the biggest assholian buffoon on the face of the earth?  That's how I feel about these women and this show.  They all seem so much more interesting when they're not around.

This will be a long season if all we hear from Carole is her endless commentary on the news/election.  I will not watch this season if she continues to drone on about it.  The number one rule when you're with friends is not to talk about politics or religion - well, you can in some instances, but in this case, it doesn't look like any of the ladies wants a play-by-play of the campaign. 

Note to a Mod:  Can you set some ground rules for this season since the election will play a seemingly prominent role?  I've seen other forums get taken over by politics, and I'd hate to see that happen here.  I come here to snark on the ladies, not on the president or other presidential candidates.  Thanks!

These women can't really seem to make up their mind about Luann/Tom because they keep swinging from they are trying to protect her because he's cheating on her BUT in the same breath they also like to throw how they are probably in an open relationship and they are just like each other. It all depends on whatever point they are trying to make, usually the cheating thing is to Luann's face and the "they are an open relationship" when they are out of ear shot. Either way, nobody has been able to sufficiently formulate to me why they care so much other than for storyline reasons and the general distaste they have for Luann.

Anyone else notice the way they 'displayed' Luann's texts with Tom onscreen? I don't think they've done that before, on any installment of the franchise. It was a little odd and maybe too slick but it cracked me up. However, I hope Luann isn't done texting via dictations to Siri. I wanted her to bellow "I love you too SMILEY FACE" in the middle of the park.

Not sure how ready I am for an election story line, but it's our reality so it should be in our reality shows too. I guess I'm glad that of all the cities, New York is getting the first crack at this. Carole's perspective is legit, and if nothing else it'll solidify for me who I'm still rooting for, and who voted for Trump.

Watching it now; hard to believe a woman of her age and worldliness is almost giddy about this pending wedding to a sleazebag! The Countless must be desperate; BIG TIME! ;-)

And I always find Carole very irritating to look at . If you look quickly and don't focus, she is attractive. If you actually look at her, man she is a bizaare looking one.

I think much of it is due to Luann's general obnoxiousness and Bethenny spearheading the Luann is a Ho campaign last year. Overall I understand exactly why Luann has infuriated Bethenny for so many years; first the countess routine lecturing on manners & how to get a man, then moving on to pontificating on true love and the jealousy of all women who are not her. But I think what is making ALL of them nuts is Luann's complete lack of authenticity. Her actions, her speech, her delivery - she doesn't look at all natural and I don't see anything that resembles a genuine person happy with their circumstances.

Both Ramona and Carole spent their time off getting some serious face work done, and unfortunately for both of them, the work didn't enhance their looks, imo.

Glad we're off to a slow start - I'm still recovering from the RHOBH finale and Eden's meltdown, so, some relative peace is welcome!!  

ChitChat - totally agree with you.  I understand that the election was/is polarizing, but I would hate to see the forum become a battleground based on personal politics, rather than posters' opinions about which housewife did what to whom and who is a bitch or not.  

Loved seeing everyone's apartments, and I love what Ramona has done thus far with hers.  She really needs to upgrade her kitchen and bathrooms though. That golden-ish color tile in her kitchen looked really, really dated and the bathroom needs a major overhaul.  OTOH - how low has Ramona gone - trying to get her contractor to play matchmaker for her?  

And, Sonja - really - you dated Prince Albert?  Was that while you were partying with John John and Madonna while entertaining P.Diddy on your yacht??   ;-)

No, he won. It was by many measures the most boring Chopped I've ever seen.

I was both irritated that Carole let the couch upholstery get torn apart, but then relieved when I realized the swatches on the back were to reupholster the couch. I love the Scalamandre. It's gorgeous, but crazy stupid for a house with pets and ridiculously expensive. It's at least $30,000 to recover the couch with the silk tiger Scalamandre fabric.

Ramona's plastic surgery is beyond awful.  She looked so pretty before.  She's in full-on catwoman territory now.  She did not need that at all, and I hope it settles down or something.  It is very distracting.

It goes back to when LuAnn was at the height of her Countess - call me Mrs. de lesseps snobbery - who looked down at pre-Skinny Girl Bethenny.  At the time, Bethenny was living in a tiny apartment, working her sample trays at the market, who did not run with NY society.

In the infamous fall out with Jill, LuAnn automatically took Jill's side - and cast off Bethenny.

Did you see the episode? Cookie was there throughout most of the "Bethenny gets an offer on her apt" scene. 

Her new puppies are cute. That's the best thing I have to say about her. I was rolling my eyes all over again at her recorded "breakdown flashback scene" after seeing her old apt for the first time. Having an emotional reaction is fine; telling somebody to record you while having it is not.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Ramona looked bizarre. At least she seems to have ditched the awful extensions. I felt bad for Mario 2.0.  She was so obnoxious! 

Lu looked good.

Cookie seemed fine, and the new pups are super adorable, but that decision struck me as odd. If my dog were sixteen, I would personally avoid any significant extra stress like moving (when it could be avoided of course) and adding new animals to the family, especially puppies. That assimilation process can be long and difficult, and they'll have energy that Cookie just doesn't have anymore. I get that little kids love having puppies, but if I were in Bethenny's shoes I wouldn't put Cookie through that in her waning, frailest years.

I think that Sonja would say that whether she was invited or not.  She knew well in advance what the wedding date was (as we all did), so she had ample opportunity to make plans to be in Phuket, or wherever the hell she said she would be.  A lot of people do that, when they know they won't be invited to a "major" event in their social circles - make plans to be out of town during the event, so they can save face.

She is definitely starting to venture into the Jocelyn Wildenstein territory.  I was shocked at her look.  Watching past seasons these last few weeks, she was so much prettier back then.

I remember when they showed him as a pup coming into the household when she was still married to the Count,time really passes quickly!

I agree about Ramona. I thought she looked bad, especially in her THs. She has that angry Botox brow. In her scene with Dorinda, I really noticed the difference between the two. Dorina looked good and natural while Ramona verged on freakish. Her nose also looked weird to me and different. I noticed it and don't remember noticing it in the past.

Good lord, it was painful to look at Ramona's face. I couldn't figure out exactly what she had done, but couldn't stop staring at it. Sadly, she probably paid a fortune to look like that.

i wish Beth and Ramona would shut the hell up about Luanne and concentrate on their own lives. Also, since the news these days is all Trump all day,  I don't care to hear anything about politics on this show too. These women bring all the crazy I can handle!

Well, I'm over in the corner of every scene playing with the dogs or the kittens.  All of them were so cute.

Note:  Adam was on Chopped last night and he won the episode.

Let Luanne be and stopped pretending that you somehow care.  It's all about storyline and 'getting' Lu. 

Sonja looked ridiculous when rehearsing the play.  She also looked ridiculous when showing her 'donations' with Beth.  

Ro looked just as ridiculous with the contractor, her new 'face', and her constant need to show she's dating.

Of course we have to continue to hear about Beth's divorce from hell. 

I get Carole's involvement with the election.  I don't mind hearing about it.  This 'is' what is going on now and what 'was' going on then. 

I didn't mind Doris this episode.  She seemed very reasonable.

I finally figured out why Bethenney bothers me so much.

I still remember her in the first season when she was doing Bethenney Bakes (tm) and was in the grocery store trying to give away samples and got no takers. She was funny and self deprecating and was likable as a woman trying to make something of herself with a ton of hustle.

With all of her Skinny Girl (tm) success she turned into a total bitch. Had she just come out and said in an actual "Wow I did it "  sincere way and not started being all FU to everyone and tearing down other women in her rise to being a millionaire I think other women would have been there to prop her up and offer sincere congratulations.
