Farrah is off the hook batshit crazy.  Hopefully Sophia keeps shooting straight from the hip and grows up and does the OPPOSITE of what her mother has modeled for her.   What a messed up family dynamic that is and I fully agree that Debra and Farrah just shouldn't be in each others lives.  They're toxic to each other.

Sick of seeing Matt and listening to his spitty, slurpy pronunciation.   Several of the Amber segments were only of Matt.  Seriously?  Is there anyone in Amber's life telling her this guy is using the shit out of her?  She thinks she's depressed and getting fat because they're happy and in love?  I don't think so there sweetie.

Icky scenes of Maci at the strip club.  I woudn't blame Taylor if that upset him, maybe it didn't, but if that were me seeing my fiance grinding on the floor with a stripper I'm fairly certain I would be upset.  But who knows with this crowd...

Catelynn at the horse barn was stupid.  I'm with the rest of you with who have horse experience.  I had limited time and money so I SHARED a horse and split the board with another young woman when I was younger and we both rode a few times a week.  Horses are a TON of work even if you're just boarding.  Grooming them before a ride, tacking them up, then going riding, cooling down, untacking them, cleaning off the tack, and a quick re-grooming takes a couple of hours and is a lot of work.  I really don't see Catelynn doing this.  Save the $3000 Catelynn or use it towards a day care or pre-school program for little Nova, that baby needs other little kids to play with and stimulation that doesn't include her dog brothers.

Does anyone else thinks the reason Matt is upset about negative public coverage is because it makes it harder for him to find another woman to con?

I actually think he loves it. I think it makes him feel important and I wouldn't be surprised if he were actually the one calling the evil tabloids with stories to make sure he stays in them.

Lol when Cate said, “I just want a connection,” with regard to buying a horse, and the camera cut straight to poor little Nova. Does anyone else thinks the reason Matt is upset about negative public coverage is because it makes it harder for him to find another woman to con?

Like any other abuser, they tend to get defensive, mad, and upset any time anyone points out their behavior. He may be afraid that Amber may open her eyes if she were to actually pay attention to the "haterz".

Seeing as how many fools fall for his bullshit and post to Amber how much they adore him and Amber, how he is just the best guy ever, that just proves there is a sucker born every minute.

I try not to get involved with FB discussions about this stuff because the last time I said something on MBFFL page (just telling that comedienne to “hang in there”) a group of Whitney supporters cyberstalked me and tried to turn people away from buying my books. However, every so often I’ll pop over there and lurk. Good God Almighty. There are some seriously deranged people on the Teen Mom page. I am actually concerned. They look like adults. They look like regular people. But the things they say! “I hope one day Carly can have her REAL parents back!” “Matt is such a great guy!” “Cate, that’s awesome that you bought a horse! Equine therapy is wonderful!” “You are sooo lucky to have a hot guy like Tyler!” “Amber, you are the best mommy EVERY!”

I mean, I seriously worry. It’s like walking into a damn alternate reality.

This is truly terrifying. In what world is Tyler "hot"?

Cate is going to treat that horse the same way Nellie Olsen (Little House on the Prairie) treated Bunny the horse.

Nellie was so mean to poor Bunny! Laura never wanted to sell Bunny to bitchface Nellie, but bless Laura's heart, she really wanted to buy Ma the stove for Christmas and needed some quick cash.  It was bittersweet as Pa had ordered the same stove for Ma and had handcrafted Laura a saddle for Bunny for Christmas. Then Nellie faked that she got hurt by Bunny and was paralyzed. Laura waited on her hand and foot, feeling guilty over it, until she realized she was being played. Then she told Nellie she was taking her for a ride in her wheelchair and pushed Nellie in the wheelchair down a steep hill into a creek, much to the dismay of her mom/bitch Harriet, whom I believe screamed and dramatically fainted. Nellie got up and walked, proving she wasn't really paralyzed. Thank God for Nels, the only sane one in the Oleson family who gave Bunny back to Laura as he knew his daughter was a total bitch to Bunny, lied about the paralysis, and didn't deserve her.

Unfortunately with Cate, it won't be nearly as good of story. We won't get to see Michael Landon's fine self,  and we won't get to see Cate in a wheelchair getting rolled down a hill into a creek. It will probably involve a bunch of tears, weed, April, and the ASPCA.

I believe that Catelynn is depressed and anxious, but Amber just seems like a neglectful mother. She has no job and nothing else to do, but she hasn't seen Leah in a month?? And she made such a huge deal about wanting more time with her daughter and wanting joint custody. What an ass.

Catelynn and Tyler will be broke and homeless within 3 years of the Teen Mom show ending. Guaranteed. A $3,000 pig and now a $3,000 horse? Why doesn't Catelynn spend more time caring for her child? I'm pretty sure in one scene Nova was wandering off in just a top with no diaper on, and their house doesn't seem all that clean.

I can't understand what Farrah is screaming about half the time. I feel bad for Heather the producer trying to mediate, and even worse for poor Sophia.

Don't. I used to feel the same way, but she completely egged on that fight, number one, she knew there was no happy hug at the end of that scene. Two, these people are the problem: if they had integrity they'd quit, because it's their cameras and attention that created this Frankenstein. They're happy to keep the checks coming, and I don't blame them, everyone's got to make a living. But I don't feel bad for them. It's not like there's no other reality shows to go work on.

She wanted it on paper, A look, look type of thing.

On twitter comments call her a role model, inspirational. One even said Amber saved her life.

And then there's the book:

It is horrifying how much some people look up to these girls.  Unfortunately, since this show will probably never end, most of these people will not have to worry about the repercussions of their bad financial decisions.  Also, with the fans, they always have 5K per pop appearances they can do.

Spot on to those who say Matt loves the attention.  The guy has been waiting to glom on to a d-list reality star for a long time, so he could live the life.  Amber was the only one stupid enough to fall for it, even Janelle and Farrah are not that desperate.

Hey Amber, if you are going to have a guy con you out of your money, go for Matt's son...at least he is kinda of cute and age appropriate, though I know Matt's age plays into your daddy issues (gross).

I just saw the announcement for the TM cruise. I mean really? WTF?? Themed cruises can be fun, but if the theme is built around specific individuals, then they usually have some kind of talent (signing, dancing, cooking) or knowledge (experts in archaeology, film, history, etc). I'm not sure what these chicks are supposed to be doing by way of entertainment  for the passengers, because you tend to pay more for a themed cruise, so there is usually extra entertainment by way of shows, parties, lectures, etc. I'm also wondering who would be the audience for them. Outside of people like us who watch to snark, isnt their fan base made up up mostly teen girls? How many of them cruise. But I did get a kick out of how Farrah was not invited because they wanted to keep it family friendly, lol.

Let's say that we are all as dumb as Amber and we believe Matt's story about Farrah. However, that doesn't explain why he texted Janelle. Or maybe those 40+ y/o guys he was playing poker with just knew the cast of TM and TM2 and randomly tweeted all of them?

And with all honesty, although I cannot stand anyone on this show, the people who are blindly protecting them on social media are even more annoying. How delusional and naive you have to be, to believe when they say "MTV doesn't show everything we do" well yes, I am sure they do not show you using the toilet (Thank God for that!) but overall what they show pretty much sums up all you do.

Cate was just awful this episode. Blasting her eyes to the producers for calling her out and that whole speech "One day I will have my own horse" it made me want to smack some sense into her. But, to be fair it's much more likely for her to have a horse now, that TM money are still coming in, than "someday" when she will be dirt poor like her mom and living in a trailer, because we all know that this day is coming sooner or later. And Tyler is so fed up with her, all he could mumble out in response to her nonsense was "right...right...right". He couldn't wait for her shut up and crawl back in her cocoon nest on the couch.

At least there wasn't any Carly or B&T talk this episode.

This is what mystifies me.  Yet on the flip side, they are completely validating my satisfaction with the boring, quiet, lovely life my husband and I have made for ourselves and our two young daughters.  I am also reminded that parenting? We're doing it right.

Yes, I agree. They've been spending money like water and it looks like they support a covey of family members and assorted hangers-on. they squander cash on cars and exotic pets. Once the gravy train leaves the station forever, they'll be in the trailer park before you can say "boogietown".

@RamonaSenomar I agree, whenever I'm having one of those moments where I feel I'm not doing enough as a parent (let my kids play at the park for only an hour so I could rush home and start my homemade Chili because it needs to slow cook for a long time instead the normal 2-3 hours) I think of this show.

@GreatKazu you know he's been Anthony Weinering for a while now - I'm impatiently waiting for the "tell all" from the TM groupies that will sext anyone D-list famous about Matt sexting them. Titled: "How Matt sexted me from Ambien's Couch as she sat tweeting all the haterz how Matt has changed."

@FakeAccount This episode was the FIRST time Tyler didn't annoy me and I could feel his frustration. he was likeeeee"Right, Right, Right....I miss you slothing up your life away on the couch because at least you weren't rambling on and on and on about this "childhood love for riding horses" when the closest thing you had to a horse was the ride along horse that sits in front of the Kmart entrance for 25 cents," Not verbatim obvi.

@evilmindatwork Ambien's family have given up and are sick of the Matt show. She constantly yells at her mother anytime she speaks (Debs sister?) and I'm sure Shawn got sick of the world thinking his name was "Bubby" and needed to stay away before he ended up punching matt because Shawn is a standup husband with children of his own now and can't understand how Matt AND HIS OWN SISTER can stand being away from their kids for selfish and lazy reasons.

I'm done - for now. :-) I'm at my youngest child's pediatrician appointment waiting twenty minutes past my scheduled time while my cute little girl plays with another girl waiting for her check up. Soooooo cute.

Honestly, I think Maci is the only one who is going to survive this mess. Taylor seems like a very nice man. He's employed (I still don't know as what), and seems to adore those kids. They probably paid outright for that house (I hope. It's not a high priced area), and they're not driving around in sports cars. I can see them in the future just being normal people - going to their kids' activities, watching college football, working, and of course having the all important Bud Lite at the end of the day.

Now, what do the others have going on for a future? Anything at all? Farrah is a hustler, but I'm afraid her businesses are too scattered, and her personality sucks to manage anything. I think she fancies herself as female Donald Trump. Unless she finds that rich guy to marry her, I'm afraid porn might be her future. As for Cate and Amber? I can't see anything but disaster. They both need a trade - stat. Tyler's a good bullshitter, I can see him as a waiter. Nothing wrong with that, he could do really well -  unless you try to start a career at 30. The resume will list reality tv, pizza making, and sofa sitting. Hey, he'd fit right in on Vanderpump Rules. I bet he'd secretly love to dump the depressed dirty (seriously, her bra straps were filthy on the last episode) drag and jump right into sleazy drama on another show.

Well, Farrah can give business classes. After all she is an extraordinary manufacturer, or something like that.

Maci can teach us all to play beer pong.

Cate will lead naptime.

Amber will show us how to make a fabulous can of string beans and then sneak candy bars for dessert.

There's lots they can teach us!!!!

Deb is not a door mat because she wants to be. She is around because of her granddaughter. It is one thing for someone to allow themselves to be in a situation and tolerate certain  behavior such as Amber.  It is another for a grandmother to want to be in her grandchild's life so badly that she is willing to tolerate or put up with an adult child who goes off on her from time to time.

It is easy for me to sit here and say Deb should leave for good, which I have posted, but I am not walking in her moccasins.

Bentley is the best-treated kid, he has Mom & Taylor and Mimi Jen & Papa Larry.

Leah has it good when she's with her dad & (I almost said Miranda...) Kristina.

I think Grandma Deb & Grandpa Michael are good to Sophia, but they kind of treat her like she's two.  And her mom treats her like she's thirty.

And Nova is kind of...fucked.  I mean, Grandma April is probably pretty good to her, but I'm not sure I trust her entirely.

This show is kind of sad sometimes.

I don't really see the difference.  She probably doesn't want to be a door mat, but she's still doing it willingly, for whatever reason.  And even if she's willing to deal with the torment, I truly don't think it's in Sophia's best interest to be exposed to what goes on between Debra and Farrah all the time.  Debra may be getting what she wants, but Sophia's paying a pretty high price, and she has no say in the matter whatsoever.

Yes, she is doing it willingly. She is a grandmother who wants to be in her grandchild's life. Deb can walk away from this at any time, but there is a consequence to that choice and it is a consequence Deb is not willing to pay. She will be damned either way. The same consquence holds for Sophia as it does for Deb - she is damned either way whether Deb is there or not because she has Farrah as a mother.

That doesn't mean Sophia is not being harmed by all of this. I am fully aware Sophia is being exposed to everyone's toxic behavior around her. I didn't think I needed to point out the obvious.

I'm not so sure that it's obvious to Debra.  Or even to Farrah.  How else can you explain their continuing to do it?  It looks to me like they both care about themselves more than they care about Sophia.  Neither one seems to be willing to sacrifice at all for the sake of that child, and I'll judge them harshly for that.

Since I was the one quoted in the original post, I will respond.

Of course it is not in Sophia's best interest and of course she is the one who is suffering. We know she is going through hell when all that fighting is going on around her.

To highlight my initial point, Farrah cannot and should not verbally and emotional attack people simply because she can. Farrah doesn't just hurl obscenities and her vulgar behavior at Deb. She does this to anyone and everyone. Just because people happen to be in Farrah's presence, it does not give her license to treat them that way. Even if people demanded to not be talked to that way or let it be known her behavior is not acceptable, as Michael has done, we know Farrah will continue her tirade.

Remove Deb from the equation, Sophia is still being exposed to the toxic behavior because it is Farrah who is the common denominator in all of the outbursts that occur in Sophia's presence.

I dunno About Deb's reasons.  Could be to be around her granddaughter. Deb went into therapy after she was arrested. To some, her backbone was considered abusive behavior. Deb mentioned anger management courses as well.

I think this is why Farrah gets really upset because at times Deb is not as confrontational as she used to be. She isn't talking to Farrah the way she used to in the earlier seasons when she had that backbone. If there is one thing that pisses people off who are angry, is when the person they are yelling at is not reacting to their behavior. I think of Amber as a good example. When Gary would try to ignore Amber's yelling and outbursts by walking away or not reacting, she would become enraged.

Deb does make outrageous comments. Remember her cheerleader outfit at the reunion where she was "cheering" on her daughter? I think Deb tries too hard to prove to her daughter that she is supporting her because Farrah doesn't think she does. Deb goes to the extreme. Again, I am going to use Amber as an example. Amber goes to great lengths to prove to the world Matt is a great guy. As outrageous at it is, to Amber, it is what she has to do because Matt likely takes it out on her that he gets the negative press as well as the fact she can't ever be wrong. She has to paint Matt as Prince Charming because it makes her look better.

The same publishing company that is releasing Matt's book is also releasing a coloring book of pictures from Maci and Taylor's wedding. At least it's not pictures from their bachelor/ette parties...

"Storybook romance"?!?  When I think of a storybook romance I don't think of some idiot who doesn't know how to use birth control basically berating a man into proposing and then responding to the proposal with "finally!"

Storybook romance?!?! Yes, forcing a dude to marry you to the point of having two fake accident kids with him and saying "finally" when he proposes is right up there with The Notebook.

Cate is TEXTBOOK dead inside. She gave up everything, even her (former) daughter, for Tyler. Now he clearly doesn't love her and she realizes she doesn't even really want to be a mom but she does apparently want things for herself...pets, etc. But she's too dumb or too lazy or depressed to go get real things for herself, like a career.

That cruise thing confuses my emotions. On one hand I enjoy watching Farrah flail and suffer; on another hand, she's right that the cast is low class as they come. I also love that she joked about beer pong with pedophile boyfriends. Come on, that's funny. Also I think Matt is the worst person on the show by far, so any jokes about him give me joy.

Count me in as thinking that Deb's motives aren't so pure, just like Michael who made $$ off of Farrah's porn he claimed to hate. I hate Farrah but I get just as shady a vibe from Deb and have ever since 16&P with the creepy faux Christian thing she was slinging. She gets $$, business opportunities, plastic surgery, glam and attention from hanging around Farrah. I'm too jaded to think that ol arrested-for-DV, wouldn't-put-down-the-knife, baby voice Deb isn't also personality disordered. JMO. NPD runs in that family like whoa.

Do y'all think Cate and Tyler will make it in the long run?
