I think a lot of people  like Hoda but find her need to have her mouth gaping and open on every picture, annoying.

She posted a picture of herself with Joel and Haley , with a caption “Home”.

The picture is sweet because Haley is hugging Hoda’s face .  But ick, she couldn’t wipe her baby’s face? It’s obvious that the baby has a runny nose and her upper lip is messy,  blech   And. the poor kid never looks like she can see under that mess of hair in her eyes .

The good thing is that Haley was holding on to Hoda’s face and covered  part of it he smile .

How does someone have the exact same expression for every picture ? The only difference is at times she opens her huge mouth with the giant teeth .

A 5 min segment on them returning from the Olympics. Al seemed to take it in stride, it was 2 weeks for Gods sake.

ITA! You would think they were back from a year long deployment in Afghanistan, and not millionaires who were gone for two weeks and staying  in luxury hotels!

I agree that the five minute segment was excessive but the videos were cute.

I do think that being gone for two weeks was a big deal for Savannah, Hoda and Dylan.  Probably none of them had been away from their kids before for anywhere near that long.  It wasn't a big deal for Al because he's done it many, many times before and his son is much older.

Please don't hate me but I miss Matt. I like Savannah and Hoda but not necessarily together every day.

I watch about five minutes of the show now to get the headlines, then I turn away.

I miss Matt, too, and I'm not ashamed to say it.  I think he should have been suspended but I don't think he deserved to lose his job.

I'm sorry but there's NO WAY he could have kept his job after all the salacious details......

Yes, he certainly should have been fired. Especially after hearing the one story (of many) of him forcing intercourse on a female colleague in his office and leaving her unconscious.

And then when a lot of this was coming to light and he was confronted by management asking if he had ever acted inappropriately. His initial response was-- no, I can't remember anything. What a lying creep. Just disgusting.

Matt should be in jail. He assaulted multiple women.

Couldn't they have opted out and let Megan Kelly go in their place?

I don't particularly miss Matt, but what i find offputting is that the ratio of "shtick" (like the choral A"W-H-A-T") to news or information is getting out of hand. It may be the influence of needing fuel for social  media, but I find I tedious to watch live.

Even if Matt didn't *assault* anyone, I think it's inappropriate to use interns and employees fresh from college or small tv stations as his own personal dating pool.  It's not the 70s anymore, and thank goodness for that.

NBC wouldn't let toxic Megyn within 100 miles of Olympic coverage.

They shouldn't let Megyn within 100 miles of Rockefeller Center. I doubt her contract will be renewed.

I listen to Megyn through the filter of how she would have presented the same story on Fox.  Hypocritical cold blooded little spider.

What is with Today’s (especially in the 4th hour) fascination with that human thud, John Cena?  He is on constantly. An instant click for me. Can’t stand listening to him. I suppose it could be worse—it could be Michael Strahan. Wonder who decided either of them was terrific host material?

John Cena is ok where they're keeping him, the fourth (and formerly third) hour.  I'd be ready to jump off the planet if he starts lisping the the 7:00 news and given serious interviews.

Those babies they brought out to promote Hoda's book were so cute.

Enough already with Hoda's book!  It's not that good, either as a book or lyrics to a song!

I know Hoda is so beloved and  everyone seems to think she is some wonderful person who has overcome so much , and it's not popular to criticize her, but as much as I like her, she can be annoying.

I've noticed that when something happens to  Hoda it's always this huge thing that she has to talk about non-stop, and she is instantly a spokeperson for the issue!

I am sure that hearing she had breast cancer was traumatic, but, she had one surgery, no chemo, no radiation, and it was over.  I have friends and family who have had major surgery, reconstruction, chemo, radiation, and are on medications that suppress their hormones and make them feel ill the rest of their lives!  In fact, one friend is  only 32 who has had a all of that! And she talks about her cancer less than Hoda!

It's just annoying when Hoda became the spokesperson for all illness and cancer, and had to write a book, but truly has no clue about what a real survivor who  had their body and lives altered for ever goes through!

Now it's about the adoption!  Once again, I am sure this is a huge thing for her.  And every parent probably could speak about their child 24/7!   To a parent, everything a baby does is a huge deal.  BUT.. once again, it's as if no one on earth ever adopted a baby, and somehow she needs to write another book!

I think Hoda is a decent person, but I don't think she's particularly smart, in fact much of the time she is dumb as can be.   But I think she knows how to market herself and  she is a major opportunist for anything that she has happen in her life!

I know people get annoyed by her giant, open mouthed smile.  I do to, and it's only because I don't think it's at all normal to have that huge smile all the time, it appears put on and fake.  I actually saw a video, I think on instagram of Hoda with a normal expression, as soon as she saw the camera, that giant, instant grin was instantly plastered on her face, and it looked so put on and fake!

I haven't watched in quite awhile, but what bothered me about Hoda (in addition to the huge, open mouth smile) was her use of incorrect grammar. She would frequently say things like "him and me", "me and her", etc. Sounded so bad. In fact, Kathie Lee corrected her on the air, on at least one occasion and Hoda just looked at her like she was crazy. I don't think Hoda is the brightest bulb.

Yes. I wonder when she speaks at times how she was ever a “journalist “. Usually a journalist should know proper grammar, speak well , and have a good vocabulary!

There are many times on the fourth hour where I would be shocked at the absolutely stupid things that come out of Hoda’s mouth ! Now, she get promoted to need anchor , and sounds like a teenager , and everyone loves her! Ugh !

Sadly, I think that now what passes for a journalist is not someone who is intelligent, well informed , or articulate. Instead people want someone they can “relate” to, who is non-threatening, doesn’t act too bright , and doesn’t get to deep into anything serious, since most people have very short attention spans !  That is part of the reason we have an electorate that shares and retweets anything, and why hackers are so successful!

Not getting into whether or not Matt should have been fired, but frankly the show just isn't as good without him.  Savannah's little-girl voice bugs me.

I couldn’t stomach Matt. He seemed like a sexist pig and treated Ann like crap .

Savanah does have an annoying voice , but at least she had normal expressions and is intelligent. Hoda has that fake over done smile, and is immature and as dumb as a rock .

I know some people feel that way, but I don't.

Hmm, he raped a woman in his office and she was unconscious to the point that they he  had to call a nurse  and he also would lock the door from behind the desk to trap women in his office .

Women were just too afraid to come forward when he could be prosecuted, otherwise he would be in jail where he belongs . BTW, I also think many men and women were aware and turned a blind eye  , and they should also be gone for not speaking up .

Yeah, the song was really bad  because of horrible lyrics . The music was nice , but the words to the book were so blah!

if Hoda and Kathie Lee did not have a show, their corny songs and books would never see a chart !

And seeing them crying all the time about Hoxa’z Kid is wearing thin.

I wonder if NBC gets a cut of the book profits since they are spending air time promoting it. And maybe KLG didn’t agree to this for her wine, & that’s why they won’t let her talk about it on air.

If this is the wrong place for Megan Kelley topics, my apologies....

i don’t watch her show very often, but in the past 2 weeks I had it on as background noise.  I noticed several times during cooking segments Ms. Kelley turns into a complete idiot.  She doesn’t know what basic kitchen tools are...ummm, that is a spatula?? She had no idea that there a different types of mushrooms?  She is baffled by anything that requires more than pressing microwave buttons.  Yes, a lot of people don’t cook or prepare food like a chef.  And I do not believe as a wife and mother, SHE must be the one in charge of cooking. However, she is married and has kids so at some point in her family life, someone must be cooking something occasionally, right? I doubt her entire family has been surviving solely on take out and Hot Pockets.  Does Megan run and hide when meals are prepared so she can’t ever absorb cooking methods, vocabulary, ingredients or recipes?  She has been earning a great salary for many years, so maybe she has just been able to afford prepared meals delivered?  Even if she hates cooking or just isn’t interested in it, fine.  But as a talk show host who prides herself on being smart, savvy, and sharp why wouldn’t she do a tiny bit of research before the cooking segment? Is she playing dumb? Or is she trying to give an attitude of “I’m so above cooking!  I am a journalist for God’s sake!”   Again, I don’t watch her show daily, but the cooking segments should just be pulled out of rotation because her dumb “I don’t know nuthin’ ‘bout no casseroles!” Comments ruin it IMO.

The nanny, the live-in housekeeper, and the personal assistant likely coordinate the meal plans.

I will cut her some slack as her former job really mandated her being at the office for most of the afternoon/evening hours. I'm surprised she even has cooking segments, although she certainly could play up the "it's so easy even I could do it" mantra.

I work in a large bookstore.  Hoda's book is selling like crazy. KL's, not so much.

Makes sense.  The book seems like something grandparents and friends would gift new parents or small children.  I know she's not well liked here, but Hoda projects just a general likability and niceness.  She could be a raging a-hole, if she is then she's incredibly talented.

Carson looks even more unkempt and scruffy lately.  Maybe it's because Craig appears to be the main fill-in anchor now and no one's pretending Carson's newsreader material anymore, but his appearance stands out.  He looks weird standing next to super tide, tailored suit Al.  I did appreciate Carson speaking about his anxiety last week.

I like Hoda.  She is more likable/tolerable than KL.  Hoda definitely comes off as more intelligent than Jenna Bush-Whatever, Chenille and even Tamron Hall.  The only thing that bugs me is the constant attention to Hoda's adoption story.  I'm an adoptive mom and I appreciate her journey to motherhood.  My family is so grateful for the process that brought my daughter into our lives 11 years ago.  But the Today Show staff act as if Hoda is the first woman to ever adopt/have a child for Godssake. I get that she is over 50, so becoming a parent later in life is fulfilling a dream she had and didn't think was possible.  Many congrats and blessings to you and your baby.  Now, please MOVE ON!  I feel like Hoda & Haley get extra attention from the co-hosts since Haley's arrival vs. Savannah's & Dylan's kids.  Not that I want their children brought up as much as Hoda's.

After interviewing Burt Reynolds today, who was pressed to tell the world that Sally Field was the love of his life, I see Loni Anderson on TV plugging reruns of WKRP in Cincinnati.   You can't make this shit up.

I get it and really relate to Savannah. Her education, career, and late in life marriage reflects many of my own choices. Sorry, but when some women go for the big leagues, sometimes things like cooking and house cleaning go by the wayside. I’m not knocking women who have mastered cooking and such, just saying that some of us had our attention diverted to other things.

I know a few women that are totally inept when it comes to cooking ... packaged everything!!  My first husband cooked & taught me, otherwise I'd be in the "inept" category.
