Poor Jeremy, haha. I wonder if Jinger's level of lust blows his out of the water...totally not trying to be nasty, but he has done physical things before, and she hasn't. Maybe he never expected this from a meek fundie wife, since they always make it sound like such a chore for the woman, and he wasn't prepared for the level of energy required for the honeymoon...hehe...

Or she is sore and suffering from a UTI. Doubt anyone educated her about those.

Yes! I think that is exactly it.  There is something slow, soft, yet overly emphatic about his affect, and I think you may have hit the nail on the head.

They do seem really tired, understandably.  And boy, do these people have *nothing* to say!!

Unless you ask him about the horrors of masturbation. Then he can speak for hours.

I didn't watch any video but that picture of the floral V?  Looks like a mess to me. I hope it looked better in real life. And I had nice things to say about her wedding in general but that comes off as "showy offy" to me. Or tacky.  Maybe showy offy and tacky?

Maybe I'm not on Pinterest enough to appreciate the full impact of the letter  V  in flowers.

Looks like the flower wall Kim k had at her wedding. I actually like it as a backdrop.

I'd read about the 2000 flower V structure somewhere, but I had no clue what to expect. That's...interesting.

Am I the only one who thinks that backdrop is tacky and a waste of money?

Plus I giggled when I saw the "V" until I remembered Jeremy's last name.  And also that I'm no longer 12 years old.

Wow.  Who knew the Duggars watched the Kardashians?!!!

Hahaha. Jinger googling up Kardashians weddings, while locked in the bathroom...Jim Bob banging on the door "what are you doing in there? You've been alone for 9 minutes!"

Here's a video of the newlyweds from Australia. Hmmm, Babe seems kinda subdued, certainly not full of smiles and light in his eyes. Notice too that Jing is clinging to his arm, but he's not touching her. Kinda weird given how lustful they were in all pre-wedding stuff.

Since Jeremy, Jinger has seemed like she is constantly channeling Jill in all things.  Almost like now that she's part of a couple she has to be someone else and that person is Jill.  Maybe not, there could still be hope, she's showing her knees now and hasn't been doing the raised eyebrow thing so maybe she'll find herself.

And am I the only one who detests that happy little TLC music they play?  The BS tune - how sweet and innocent and wonderful everything Duggar is.

TLC must have opened their wallets! It's the last chance to save $24 million of advertising for the shows that sit in a can somewhere.

Remember the good old days when people could get married without elaborate floral backdrops, "escort cards", things written on chalkboards and burlap table runners? Ahhh, those were the days!

I'm with you - I would have much rather seen 2 simple flower arrangements on the altar than the Woodland forest. It's hard to tell but did the flower V block the altar, could they go up to the altar?  I don't think the forest theme went well with the formality of Jinge's & bridesmaid's gowns.  Just my old geezer opinion.

Anything to save the show. ANYTHING.

Do we have a pregnancy pool yet? Because I'm thinking she's pregnant right now.

Remember, on the ET video Jessa said it was Ok if Jinge didn't get pregnant right away, they wouldn't pester them about it (or something like that.) I think Jessa's just mad it took her around 4 months to get pregnant & Jill beat her to the punch with a honeymoon baby.

I'm glad I finally got to see the groomsmen on the video.

No, you're not. It looks like one big untrimmed hedge to me. IIRC, Kim K's was all white and she had an outdoor wedding so the flower wall blended with the setting. Shrubs in a church looks weird.

And they also opened their wallets for the expensive plane tickets to Australia and New Zealand. We know for sure that that honeymoon choice was producer driven now. Since Jer and Jinge apparently both went there for the cuisine.

I'm not sure what TLC thinks will be accomplished by a few shots of a hedge in a church and a few shots of the water in front of the Sydney opera house and the Lord of the Rings set, but I guess they figure it's more interesting than the Duggar-life-as-censored-by-Jizm-Bob.

Well, maybe. But the clingy part has always been a Jinger trait as well as a Jill trait, hasn't it? I remember a lot of conversations about how she was clinging to her sisters, too, over the past few years. Her being referred to as an appendage and such. That's certainly a personality trait that gets intensified in some people when they live in these neurotically-forced-together enmeshed families.

  • Love 5

I thought Jinger looked beautiful and her wedding details were really in the range of what people in all walks of life are doing for their weddings. That said, I think we give too much credit to her Pinterest skills / good taste / googling skills. This wedding, to me, was completely a TLC and People magazine wedding with every single thing that was photographed (and probably to be aired) was chosen and designed by TLC / magazine designers or interns. These media outlets NEED their readers and viewers to aspire to be these girls so that they can finish their repackaging of this generation as good, pure, not morally corrupt girls who just happen to have 18 siblings.  And the crazy fades away in the background.

It's not so much the clingy-ness that reminds me of Jill as much as her mannerisms, voice, words, attitudes.  She used to seem like she had her own distinct personality of some kind and now she seems stepfordy wifelike.  Maybe it's just a transition faze for her and she'll bounce back to the person that loves coffee and wants to live in a city.  She did mention coffee on her honeymoon video and she's showing knees so there's hope.

But at least Jeremy wasn't spending his days on the honeymoon photoshopping the hedge so it would be just right!

Ok, maybe I am reaching here BUT some things struck me.    She looks like the cat that ate the canary (or ate something) and he looks like Oh Fuck!  I have A LOT to teach her and a bit of perhaps second thoughts on marrying a stage 5 clinger with zero experience.  He doesn't look over the moon and she looks like she is going to grab his personal parts as soon as the vid is turned off.  There is just something about his look that doesn't say to me 'love of my life'.

If they were there for the earthquake, she probably just thought the earth was moving due to her ahem, new experiences.

Useless hair judging here.  Whoever spoke of her hair, thinness of it and how bad it looks?  Spot on.

Jinger's dress is gorgeous!

I give Babe the benefit of the doubt on his face. Italians, we tend to have a resting bitch face at all times doesn't mean anything truly. He just looks super tired from a long airplane ride. Jinger well she was taught to smile on que so she hides her emotions better.

He might also be annoyed that he has to do this 'work' type stuff on the honeymoon?

  • Love 5

I have to say that despite some elements of the wedding that didn't quite fit, overall the class level was upped by about fifty notches, especially for a Duggar affair. Jinger's dress was stunning and I think having the professional hair and makeup job was a game changer. I also thought she looked polished and pretty in that honeymoon photo. It will be interesting to see where she goes style-wise now that she's not under the authority of KJB.

Like everyone else, I'll give Jeremy a pass. Long haul flights are grueling. He looked more annoyed at having to make the video than he did with Jinger.

Unlike Jill and Jessa, she had a real wedding planner. I imagine that SHE saw the Kardashian wedding pics.

I also wonder who is running the website, because who blogs on an exotic honeymoon?

  • Love 4

Overall, it looks to have been a beautiful wedding and by far, much prettier than Jill or Jessa's. I agree that TLC must have footed the bill. Either that or Jim Bob himself decided to splurge for the same reasons, to make the family look like royal fundie again after their big, dark scandal. Either way, Jinger and Jeremy will have beautiful pictures and memories of their big day, which is nice even though I think they are both scary crazy and I feel guilty that I'm excited about watching the episode tonight.

That could very well be. But if he feels like that, seems to me he should have thought a lot more carefully about exactly what it would mean to marry a Duggar. The Duggar wedding and honeymoon regimen is laid out for everyone to see on commercial video.

I also doubt Sierra went beyond Pinterest for decorating ideas. A real planner reads the magazines and is in front of the bridal curve rather than following it, as we saw with Jill and Jessa's badly put-together wedding experiences (from rehearsal dinner to ceremony to reception).

Although I do question the taste level (TM Nina Garcia) of that giant floral V that no one can fully see during the vows. I also don't know what's up with tree trunks onstage (Michael Bates did this as well). I think that with that huge backdrop, it's just too much.

LOL, this cracked me up!!  I wondered that too, and decided that they are all singing or saying something in unison. It looks like Jing and Babe's mouths are open and Josie's.

And I was indignant to see that stinker Josie in the wedding party, but no Jordyn or Jenni.  Is Josie one of Jing's buddies?

So many photos include Josie from every event, including photos by the family, TLC and friends. She must take after Jackson with the need for attention.

Wonder if they wrote the sentiment on the "do Jeremy" plaque. I don't usually think to use the word "evil" in any marriage concept. Really awkward.

All in all a nice wedding. Good thing TLC was still around.

Proverbs 31:12 "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."

Hope they're having fun doing each other. Good. Real good.

I think production had a wedding planner for the look and logistics of the weddings for both Jill and Jessa. I thought Jill's pinterest touches were all by the production planner who coordinated the visuals for filming. Jill's touches were just to professional for a Duggs event. Jessa said she used a lot of Jill's leftover stuff and I'd bet money she scrimped on things so that she could pocket as much of her wedding budget money as possible. Sierra seemed to be involved with both disastrously bad receptions but only played a part for the actual weddings. That said, it seems like TLC had much more control with Jinger's event then any of the others.

If that is the case--that he resents the cameras' intrusion--maybe he thought the cameras would be on at his convenience and say so instead of essentially being held hostage by TLC. A lot of people I know irl who watch reality tv but who don't at all follow behind-the-scenes stuff don't realize just how fake the whole thing is and how much producers are in control. I got that vibe from Ben in the first Counting On episodes...that he resented that he was an employee for TLC to boss around as they saw fit instead of the show being a platform for him to showcase his brilliance.  I think Jeremy is some combination of True Believer in the Duggar brand and pure mercenary who saw a way to build up his own brand, so this early on I lean towards him being as happy with the cameras as ever and just being tired in that video.   But I can imagine that he strain of having to be on when TLC says so in addition to have a wife he'll essentially have to finish raising will get to him in the foreseeable future.  (I'm not saying sympathetically that, btw...he wanted the easy money, he can damn well put up with the downsides.)

Maybe it's my eyes, but I don't think anybody had a matching-dress partner. I actually think each color is slightly different. Which makes a lot more sense to me than having some pairs and some singles, actually. It's more like a spectrum -- from browns through reds through purpley-blues. I really like it.
