I think it's Jeremy who is relaxing the rules. This guy is no virgin and a side hug is silly to him.  Maybe he will go without kissing but a stupid hug?  Jeremy is going to hug and I bet they are holding hands etc. He looked like he was going to kiss her forehead in one of their videos. 

That extreme courtship nonsense worked with Anna and Ben because they were so sheltered. Derick was not as sheltered but he is a loser and a follower so he will do whatever Jim Bob said.  Jeremy?  hahahaha. Good luck with that.

I think Jeremy is very fundie but he is 28.  He is going to do it HIS way. Not Jim Bob's way. Jinger is following her Duggar training and Jeremy is doing what he thinks is acceptable.  Jinger's head must be spinning. Jeremy is hugging her and she is trying to keep Duggar boundaries.  Conflict.  A side hug or a partial hug with some boobage?  

Decisions, decisions.  I'm glad I didn't have these problems.  I was IFB but I have never heard of any of this before Duggarville.  My husband and I did what we wanted...that was right for us.

Huh. I read that as a kinda lame attempt at an "aren't they adorable?" face. Especially when combined with her caption about how tough goodbyes are and how she remembers those days. Seems to me that Jill's proven herself to be a bit of a romantic in recent years. She and Derick famously front-hugged, for example.

The roof would blow off of the TTH if that was the case. Seriously. Can you imagine how calmly KJB and J-Chelle would face an unwed, pregnant daughter? She would be out of the house within 24 hours and told she was not allowed back.

It seems J-Chelle is full of tender mercy toward her child molesting eldest son, but she (and the brainless oaf she calls a "husband") wouldn't have a shred of sympathy or mercy for any daughter that did not toe the line.

It's possible that she did style it, but the humidity had other plans. This happens to me on a daily basis in the South in the summer. I could spend an hour styling my hair but in the Southern humidity, within five minutes it will look like a scraggly, unkept mess.

I'm not really feeling the engagement pix. That popsicle one is especially awkward. Like those awful feed-each-other-cake wedding pix. The dance-twirl is cute but I can't really see Jer's expression. And the brown sweater... Pink would have been nice.

But when I replace Jinjer w/ Jana things kind of straighten out. Jinger just seems so young, esp. next to Jer.

More reason for her to cut it to at least shoulder length. Isn't she the one who has naturally curly wavy hair? Wearing it shorter would bring more bounce back to it.  Wonder how she'll wear it on the Big Day?  

I agree with all the posts.  I think even a cap sleeved white T-shirt underneath would have been better than the drab sweater. But I think it may have to do with hiding her arms since she's so thin.  Also she could have lightened up on the eyeliner,  both in color & intensity.

You know what's difficult, because their cult believes that the only acceptable emotion is  to show  smiles and happiness so not to offend or shame your headship in any way, we never really get any other emotions from them especially in photos.  So it's just impossible to tell if Jinger is actually happy or not as she has never been allowed to be anything but.  Smile/happy/joyful at all times so not to shame the headship.  Do they ever really even know how they truly feel?  Genuine emotion is stifled.   The one exception to be sad or angry at sin or sinners, and even then only if the sin becomes public.

Technically yes. I have wavy hair by nature and it poofs up like crazy in extreme humidity, even after it's been straightened. Jinger must use a shit ton of product to keep it flat and limp like that.

For some reason after it's straightened, no.  My hair is curlier than Jinger's in its natural state.  Once straightened, it just goes flat and limp in the humidity except for the bottom of the back.  Ah, but that's the part I didn't straighten yesterday.
