“Winning an Oscar ages you.” Ha!!

I’ve been rewatching Doctor Who season 5, and I am still tripping over the fact that Olivia Coleman had a small role in one episode, and I didn’t recognize her until it was pointed out to me.

I think John Singleton was supposed to be last.  And he got bumped for Douglas.

He seems really messed up and not quite there. I wonder if he never was able to get his equanimity back after River's death. From what I understand River was a first-time dabbler in the drug/club scene. His death shocked everyone because this wasn't a longtime user.

My spec is that he knew he wanted to quote River but got more emotional than expected and started rambling before bringing it back.

I mean, this speech is possibly even more rambling than Joaquins, even if its less graphic. She sounds like a Miss American contestant trying to fit in as many random talking points as possible.

"If I win Miss America, I hope to promote world peace...and literacy...and gender...and world peace...and not littering...and equality is good... gender...and literacy..."

I've seen the argument that Renee has more pull than Glenn Close.  How??  I mean, Glenn's picture is in the dictionary under the word "overdue."  Renee Zellweger just took a self-imposed break from acting, and she's already got an Oscar.  I don't get that argument.

What pageant was it that Miss South Carolina turned into verbal LSD and kept saying “and such as”? This was just like that!

Found it, Miss Teen USA
