zoeysmom May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 This came off as production set up. Heather should have been in the phone to production asking where the car was oh wait production was right there. Set the bags inside the door and head to Starbucks. Do they call the sidewalk a foyer in NYC? In her blog tonight, Kristen admits she thought Sonja was acting like she did last season on purpose but now realizes the woman is not well. Her blog was pretty good. Kristen's blog explained that both she and Heather did not get to take their kids to school because they were to be at Sonja's house at a certain time and when Ramona arrived she said Bethenny was late because she took her daughter crosstown to school/preschool and that along with waiting in the cold rain ticked them off. She suggested that all Bethenny had to do was text everyone she would be late because of that, the night before so everyone could adjust their schedules. Heather could have handled it better though but if the shoe was on Bethenny's foot, I am sure she would have been furious as well, rightly so, IMO. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139719
LotusFlower May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Did anyone catch WWHL tonight? I would love to hear what Lu had to say. I'm watching right now. Here's LuAnn's take on the Twitter feud with Carole: First, she said that Adam and her niece were indeed together when the season started filming. When Andy read one of the tweets (calling Carole a "basic newcomer"), she said she went too far with that insult and apologized. She said that more shit goes down between them on the upcoming Turks and Caicos trip, which is fueling some of this back-and-forth meanness, but she thinks she went overboard, and she wants to move on from it. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139723

diva2themax May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Was I the only one who didn't get the "smokey eye, updo and shot"? WWHL mentioned it too but I didn't recall Sonja ever saying it. I promote people, yes, got that. I enjoy Sonja's delusions, it's when she doesn't listen and talks over people that drives me nuts. Let her talk about her non existent yachts and hanging with the Churchills. I beg someone to yell at her like Garth from Wayne's World "LIVE IN THE NOW!!". God, Bethenny is newly divorced compared to her. Ramona is just starting the process yet Sonja is still talking about it? I don't think she misses old man Morgan nearly as much as she misses the lifestyle. That's the 'death' she's mourning. Ramona was hugely disrespectful to that poor limo driver. I don't give a shit who you are. Bethenny was saying smokey eye, updo, Gstaad. Meaning all of Sonja's fabulous parties w/ ultra wealthy people. Etc. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139777
missy jo May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Did you catch Sonja say in a TH that while she appreciated Bethenny's intent, she felt B was projecting her own experiences onto her, and their situations are entirely different, as she (Sonja) has a close family, and the "proof is in the pudding." In other words, more denial and delusions from Sonja, with a dig thrown in for good measure. There is absolutely nothing that anyone can say that is not completely lost on her. She's not salvageable without mental help. It's long since crossed from entertaining to sad. The conversation between Sonja and Bethenny tonight where Bethenny managed to make many references to her own life was the verbal version of Bethenny making sure to get her Skinny Girl branded items within range of the cameras. She managed to lug Skinny Girl bottles to Atlantic City and set them up on the bar in the hotel suite! I know a lot of posters see some of the ladies' behavior as unseemly for their ages (Sonia's is unseemly at any age), but I still like Carole and get her sense of humor. And hey, if they want to dance in clubs, more power to them! Society might want me to retreat to quilting in a rocking chair when I'm 50, but I hope I'm still allowed to go out and have fun. F*ck aging! 23 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139787
swankie May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Sonja is going to be another Kim Richards mixing pills and alcohol. And I doubt the pills she's taking are all vitamins. She's probably taking prescription meds. I started to get a Kim Richards vibe from Sonja this episode and recoiled when she flashed her cooch to the world. If this season ends up being focused totally on Sonja's delusions I'm out! I had enough of "let's poke the bear" with RHBH and Kim Richards, I can't take it with Sonja. I feel like Bethenny. It's just too much! The sound of her name is starting to grate on my nerves already. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139863
Silo May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) My guess is that the producers wanted B to take Sonja under her wing for a storyline. "Can the most brusque, straightforward person on earth get through to someone who's arguably diagnosable as delusional?" And that B was ok to try bc she genuinely likes Sonja and remembered from years ago how sweet Sonja was. Bc otherwise, it's pretty bizarre that someone as narcissistic as B would try to help ANYONE. Usually, B makes it all about herself 100% of the time. I think as a rule RH would be much more interesting if B was allowed to talk about anyone or anything besides herself. I'm so tired of hearing her talk about herself, her daughter, her divorce, her past or her brand. But I think she's generally clever, insightful and interesting when talking about ANYTHING else lol Edited May 13, 2015 by Silo 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139867
Petunia13 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) Not to mention that the quote is "the proof of the pudding is in eating" as in "don't judge a book by it's cover." The "proof is in the pudding" is a nonsensical thing to say. I'm not trying to negate you since I love you but I've heard "the proof is in the pudding." More often than not; just like I was taught that quote is a verb and quotation is a noun and what people are referencing. I almost never hear quotation. It's always "my favorite quote" . So it's like what used to be wrong becomes the norm from common use. I don't always like Bethanny or the things she says but she brought a lot of truth and humor tonight. But all season and tonight in the limo she talks way too fast and just racing thoughts and it reminds me too much of coke heads I knew growing up and the manic episodes of a family member. Do they call the sidewalk a foyer in NYC? No. I think she meant entryway or vestibule or hell the overhang which is what it looked like to me. She was being typical Heather and emotional and blurting before she thought. I agree Sonja was rude. But there was no way to talk Heather off the ledge and she would not get a reasonable explanation from delusional grandiose Sonja. When they all started in on each other in limos like banshees and shouting over each other I was uncomfortable. It's clear that Heather and Bethanny strongly dislike each other there were many digs. Bethanny threw some shade at Carole as well. The wardrobe of each lady before they went out at the casino was like a casino game in itself in terms of the one up man ship. Also I made a big mistake watching this on high def on a home theater screen. I won't make that mistake when I watch RH of the OC. There is a small foyer when you go into her home. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139873
Mrs peel May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) So, I had a different takeaway of that final scene between Bethenny and Sonja. I kept getting the feeling that Bethenny wanted more to talk about the heartache and hardship she's endured since the demise of her marriage, and she had the perfect opening given that Sonja was going through what Sonja always goes through. Bethenny kept saying that she wanted to talk about Sonja, but there were too many times when Sonja drove the topic back to herself and you could see Bethenny's exasperation over Sonja (rightfully?) thinking that she (Sonja) was supposed to be the topic of conversation. This talk differed from that in the first episode when Ramona and Sonja were supposed to be talking about how Ramona was doing now that she was separated from Mario while Sonja kept taking over the conversation and making it all about her. Like, the conversation between Sonja and Bethenny tonight where Bethenny managed to make many references to her own life was the verbal version of Bethenny making sure to get her Skinny Girl branded items within range of the cameras. I see what you're saying, but I saw it differently. No B fan here, but I thought she was mentioning her own life to get Sonja to not dismiss the advice because "you don't know what I'm going through." What I don't understand is why B is bothering to try to get through to Sonja. Unless it is about rehabilitating her image.Does Sonja not understand what a foyer is? Because it is not outside the house! She just says whatever pops into her head, regardless of how stupid. Because first it was Heather couldn't come inside because she could sit in the limo, then it was that she didn't know Heather was there...way what? And she can't open ther front door because she has dogs that could run out, but she herself went out the front door. So much for Somja not having a mean bone in her body - B is projecting and is less than Sonja because Sonja is close to her family, and the girls don't understand because they haven't lived "the life." I can't decide whether she is mean or just, again, saying the first thing that pops into her head. Dorinda had the best lines "John-John is dead" (and bullshit on Sonja since it is my understanding no one called him that as an adult), and "money talks, wealth whispers." Or something like that. Meanwhile, Carole wears bunny ears and a breast t-shirt. How many times can we say "trying too hard to seem effortless?" Edited because flyer and foyer are different words! Darned iPad auto-correct. film noire May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) This may be the one time I defend Carole, but I don't think she was actually contending that she had an amazing body; I thought she was attempting to be tongue in cheek because she had donned the cleavage tee shirt (which in itself is wince-worthy, but that's another story) and, thus, instantaneously was able to boast of a strip pole-worthy physique. That's certainly possible (and it all fell flat in the delivery perhaps). But I think she was more than half serious, given that she does publicly speak highly of her body -- might be less tongue-in-cheek and more face-up-her-own-ass: The honoree paired one of her favorite dresses from her closet with a Chanel coat for the evening. "I'm blessed," Radziwill told Us. "God gave me a whole bunch of other issues, but my body is good." http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/carole-radziwill-on-thin-bod-i-have-a-crazy-metabolism-2012139#ixzz3ZzRjMaH6 Edited May 13, 2015 by film noire 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139889
LotusFlower May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 I honestly didn't get what Sonja meant when she said "the proof is in the pudding." Did she mean that Bethenny isn't one to give advice, since her own life is a mess? Or that she (Sonja) doesn't need the advice Bethenny gave, because her life is fine (which would be consistent with her delusions, of course). 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139893
HunterHunted May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Sonja is a very sick woman. She needs professional help. She is a combination of in denial and delusional. She needs a psychiatrist or a therapist and possibly cognitive processing therapy. She seems fixated on her life predivorce. It's why I think that she needs CPT. There is something about the divorce and the $7 million judgment that traumatized Sonja almost beyond repair. I did think Bethenny tried her level best to try to relate to Sonja and explain why Sonja needs help. But Sonja is far too proud to ask for the help she needs. I don't know what it is, but I get her jokes. I sometimes joke that the money I spent (and am now repaying in student loan payments) on med school would have been better spent getting plastic surgery. Plastic surgery might have helped me to get a husband who would help pay my ridiculous property taxes. 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1139913

I get a kick of the Bravo editing team's effort to showcase all the ways in which the interior of Sonja's pad is dilapidated and in ruins. Heather had every right to be upset, but her delivery was awful. Sonja's tales get taller with every episode she appears in. She may have rubbed elbows with the likes of Madonna or the very much deceased John Kennedy Jr. once but I'm just not buying her shtick anymore. NYC's true elite socialites, moves and shakers aren't flapping their gums about who they the partied with in their heydey or rolling around flashing their cooch at trashy venues for the world to see. Carole should learn to STFU. I commend for for being in shape with almost no fat on her at fifty, the absolute lack of humility about her appearance is not a good look. WireWrap May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 I hope this "reality" show truly is anything but real. Their lives seem to empty and sad. There is a time for everything in life. Most people are past getting stupid drunk and getting hickeys once they hit 30. I'm not saying that age should be a barrier to having fun, but what they are doing just doesn't look fun at all to me. They have actually regressed over the years. We used to see more of them at work, with their children, and at up-scale events like Fashion Week. That was so much more interesting than watching the equivalent of spring break! This has happened across the entire HW franchise and they need to get back to how it was in the beginning IMO. Yeah, she said she went too far in the tweets. And that it was over. And that she and Carole have a blow up later on the show. LuAnn also admitted on WWHL that she does have help tweeting......because she has soooooo many fans.....but every word tweeted comes out of her mouth first! LOL Hmmmm, she denied having help on twitter last week in a tweet! LOL The Countess is back. She did not look all that comfortable on WWHL tonight, something was off with her IMO. ScoobieDoobs May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) Was I the only one who didn't get the "smokey eye, updo and shot"? Nope. I had to come here for an explanation. I was totally lost. I mostly hated this ep, and I wouldn't be surprised if ratings start to nose-dive. OK, and just what was the point of B's heart-to-heart talk with Sonja? She blathered on afterward she didn't listen to a thing B said & she thought B's situation was different so she couldn't possibly understand her. Idk, I just think it's gotten to a point where they all know talking to Sonja is a waste of time. She wants to live in her world of senseless babble & delusions & she's happy living there. Maybe Old Man Morgan is still funding her (barely), so she can do that. Whatever. I've completely lost interest in her babble. I don't enjoy it, as a few others seem to. I just tune out now when she starts babbling about anything. Sheesh, I have no patience for her nonsense. I totally sympathized with Heather in the beginning of this ep. I didn't blame her one bit for being furious for being left out in the pouring rain & cold. Ever been stuck under one of those contruction things in the rain? It's horrible. It's like getting BUCKETS of water literally dunked on your head. OK, I pass by Sonja's townhouse everyday on my way to work, so I know what's going on outside there. During the time of filming, there were barricades in front of her townhouse, and on either side & across the street. During the day, the noise from construction all around her townhouse was absolutely awful. Now, the barricades & construction have shifted somewhat. There are still barricades across the street from her townhouse, but the ones on either side & in front are gone. In that scene it was easy to notice how busy the street is (63rd Street) & how really busy that garage her townhouse sits right on top of is. It looked like they were constantly trying to dodge cars. My theory on why she didn't let them in to at least sit in the kitchen -- or maybe on a staircase (cuz who knows if she's hocked all her furniture by now), is her house was probably a mess & she didn't want cameras in there. Just curious, anyone living in the NYC area actually go to AC? I've been there once, about 10 years ago, when The Borgata first opened, and I stayed there. The Borgata is nice, but the rest of AC sucks. It's nothing like Vegas. And there are at least a dozen hotels in Vegas way better than The Borgata. While I had a good time when I went there, the sucky thing is there are no other nice places to go to, like in Vegas. So I mostly just stayed at The Borgata the whole time I was in AC, which was just a few days. I never felt the urge to go back. And yeah, they were ridiculously over-dressed. Sonja's sequined outfit from 1992 looked nuts. Just why was Sonja babbling about John-John, when he's been dead over 15 years? And given Carole's connection to him & that she knew him well -- I wonder if she's gonna comment on it. Well, she outright lied when asked about her Twitter ghostwriter. First she said she wrote everything on her Twitter herself & then she said everything on her Twitter was approved by her. Um, no, Lu. Sounded slithery -- as usual. She said she wanted to "move on" with Carole, but it sounded extremely insincere & disingenuous. When asked about Carole's comment, that Lu's from Connecticut & not Europe, she said she lived in Europe for many years & Carole wouldn't know that because she doesn't know her. Considering her tag line last year was about checking out her great ass, and the clothes she wears that certainly draws attention to her body (case in point, tonight's boob top), she sounds very confident with her body. Seeing her on a pole, I think men prefer a little meat on their bones. What was happening with Bethenny's mouth during her talk with Sonja in the morning? Her mouth looked like a Muppets'; it barely moved and had this weird look to it. I am curious why Bethenny invests so much time in her--in the limo, at dinner, at the club, and then of course the next morning. She has zero patience for everything (shoots down conversations that bore her), I just wonder why she's giving Sonja so much time. With all of the plumbing problems she had last season, I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to spend any time there anymore. Sonja doesn't seem to me to be the type that would clean up after herself. I could see clothes strewn all over the place and dog poop everywhere. Lizzing May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Gyoza is more "gee o za" (said pretty fast) than "guy O zah". Just say "dumpling," Heather. That's okay. My take on Beth's interaction with Sonja is colored by a recent rewatching of Scary Island. I don't want to drag up old business, but back then, Sonja was pretty f'ing rational and called Kelly on being nuts and tried to dial down the psychosis and drama. Now Sonja is all satchels of gold and Al Sharpton, err, John John and Madonna. She's just as off the farm as Kelly was on those eps. I think Beth wanted to bring Sonja back around to the former gal she knew. I don't even really like Bethenny, but I don't think her one on one with Sonja was about her (Beth). Next week's previews, yeah. But not that convo. As for the whole "waiting in the rain" sitch, that was TOTALLY production driven. Sonja had about as much control over when the limo showed up as she does over nuclear codes. Yeah, she could have let them in, but Heather and Kristen could have said, like B did, "I'm gonna drop my kids off at school, then catch up with you." It just shows H&K are scared about their positions on the show and B don't give a shit. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140099
swankie May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Is it a fetish of Bethenny's to pee in front of an audience? Because...damn! Are we going to have to sit through numerous footage of her bodily functions again this season? If so, I pass. 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140136
ScoobieDoobs May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Bethenny peeing by the side of the road? No words. OK, WTF was this about? Andy Cohen finds the notion of women peeing by the roadside hilarious? Or is this just reserved for Bethenny? And we just had to see a shot of when she peed in a bucket before her wedding -- which I really could have lived my life nicely without ever seeing again. Sheesh, I found this so ridiculous & just ick. Why include this bullshit, Andy Cohen, why? I don't get it. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140139
Popular Post Maharincess May 13, 2015 Popular Post Share May 13, 2015 (edited) That's certainly possible (and it all fell flat in the delivery perhaps). "God gave me a whole bunch of other issues, but my body is good." http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/carole-radziwill-on-thin-bod-i-have-a-crazy-metabolism-2012139#ixzz3ZzRjMaH6 I think that is fantastic! A woman in her 50s who is proud of her body and thinks it's amazing should be applauded, not mocked. I think its a great thing when a woman of any age is proud of her body. I loved the bunny ears and titty shirt. I think people should dress however the hell they want. It bothers me that a confident woman who is proud of her appearance isn't celebrated. Go Carole! You keep doing what you want and don't give a shit what anybody thinks. Bethenny had to pee. I and everybody I know has done that at one point or another. What else was she supposed to do? It didn't look like there were any bathrooms around. I'm not sure if you're a male or female scoobie, but after child birth a lot of women have a hard time holding it. It was the side of the freeway and it was raining. I didn't see the big deal. Its just pee. I don't think there's anything gross or "ick" about pee. film noire May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) I think that is fantastic! A woman in her 50s who is proud of her body and thinks it's amazing should be applauded, not mocked. I'd be more likely to applaud her if she ever owned being fifty-two and not a "girl" (presumably, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her). And since I doubt there is very little about the magic that is Carole Radziwill that does not immensely delight her -- except for work & caring about anybody else's feelings -- I'll leave the applause to her. I'm sure she'll provide hours of it:) Edited May 13, 2015 by film noire 22 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140184
Lady Grump May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) I thought the bunny ears were fun. What better place to ham it up, sartorially, than at a Casino! As for Sonja? Oh man. It's been said that when people are going through a rough emotional patch, we tend to retreat, mentally, to a time when we thought we were at the top of our game. Seems to me that that is exactly what Sonja is doing. But enough! Time to get help, Sonja! On another Sonja note, I wanted to shake her when she kept saying how "artists" are supposed to "understand" and "accept" everything about everyone. Um, no. And beyond that, though Sonja can be sweet, she is a stone-cold snob. The other night, on WWHL, Andy asked Diddy (who was surprisngly awesome on the show) if he knew Sonja (because last year Sonja said that Diddy had partied on "her yacht") and Diddy responded, "baby girl is very imaginative!" HA! Well, that imagination was on full display tonight! I didn't think that Lu's comment to Ramona about "being better" without Mario was that awful. Ramona DOES show flashes of being a kinder, gentler Ramona. That said, she really needs to learn to treat people working in the service industry much better. My LAWD, how freaking RUDE was she to the driver!? Just gross! On the fence about Heather. On one hand, Sonja can bring out the worst in people with her "to the (prostitution) manor born" shtick. So, I could see where the whole "not in my house, be gone!" episode was a "last straw" of sorts, and Heather just lost it. On the other hand (and I can't believe I am about to defend Bethenny), when heather refused to admit she was late getting ready for dinner, I wanted to punch the TV screen. Mozelle May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) Someone please remind me -- why did she seem likable last season? Now that Aviva is gone, Lu's shiftiness is so freakin' apparent. I think it's because, although she filmed the season as a full-time cast member, by the time the show aired, LuAnn had been demoted. As such, they didn't show very much of her last season. That's always a recipe for seeming like a more likable person. It's like how some folks are clamoring for a Camille return to RHOBH, but I think it's fueled in part by the fact that she isn't shown all the time. Also, I still don't buy LuAnn's explanation for this big blow up that occurs later in the season...because it clearly wasn't significant enough for her to stop being friendly with Carole after filming. Countess Serpent is being disingenuous, as per usual. Case in point: I guess on WWHL she's saying that Adam and Nicole were together at the beginning of filming, but they started filming in late October, I believe. Carole took that stupid gummy bear at a Halloween party. When she sat LuAnn down to tell her about seeing Adam, Carole said that Adam and Nicole had broken up a long time ago and LuAnn agreed! She said that they'd stopped seeing each other a while back. Ugh, LuAnn! I feel like quoting Kyle to Camille: "You're such a fucking liar, [LuAnn]!" She's doing, like, this funhouse mirror version of Monday morning quarterbacking. I think that is fantastic! All of this. I think there are a lot of women who are so accustomed to the "Oh, I don't like my stomach/legs/arms/nose/thighs/ass" version of female "humility," that the idea of a woman--especially a middle-aged woman!--actually liking herself is seen as doing too much or doing the most. zoeysmom May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 I thought it was smokey eye, updo, and Gstaad. I think she might have talking about all of the places she'd been. She'd also been talking about Telluride. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been talking about Gstaad too. I think Bethenny's rendition of "smoky eye, updo and Gstaad," was more irritating than Sonja. Sonja saying she worked in PR all her life isn't bragging. The last real job she had was essentially PR for a restaurant. Bethenny's personality is such that she tends to exaggerate what is going on around her. Sonja does have a house in Colorado, and she did have a house in France and I noticed last summer she was tweeting away from her friend's home in France. Problem for Sonja is every time she sells a property the ex sues her. So any hope of Sonja getting her debt paid off is complicated by the ex. I am thinking the pining away for the ex-her best friend-is probably more of a sympathy ploy that an honest to goodness feeling. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140312
mwell345 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) Not a Bethenny fan at all, but I have to give her credit for the way she is trying to deal with Sonja, who would have gotten on my last nerve a long, long time ago. Sadly, Sonja is just going through the motions with her - nodding her head and agreeing but clearly not taking it to heart. Bethenny is showing a patience with Sonja that I didn't think she had. There is really something not right with Sonja - she used to be funny and eccentric, now she has moved into sad and desperate. I don't think she's doing herself any favors by being on this show, and the Lady of the Manor act no longer cuts it. Nor does the Saudi Arabians, P Diddy Yacht, JFK Jr, Madonna stuff. She is just pathetic, and I say that with sympathy. The rest of it was just these women in a limo and a bar screeching over each other. Who even knew what they were saying? I had to turn on captions and still couldn't keep up. Who did Kristin room with? Maybe I missed it.. I could be wrong because my ears were tired by that point, but I thought they said there were 2 singles. Maybe Kristen got the other one? I would have grabbed it for sure. (and I just might be a liar, too. LOL) While I agree that it's awesome for a woman to be proud of her body and self, there's this thing called humility. Carole talking and preening so often is just more of her trying to prove how wonderful she is. A woman who truly feels that way, doesn't need to tell anybody about it. She just is. 49 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140391
ghoulina May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Wow, delusion is right. Sonja was a hot mess tonight. On the one hand, it's really uncomfortable to watch. OTOH, it gives us some great lines from the other housewives, like - "How did I get the job of snatch guard?" Or, "Well, John John is dead, so that's difficult". I died. Okay, let's start with foyer-gate. I'm confused. Heather kept saying they were made to wait in the foyer, yet we see them all huddled outside. Does foyer mean something different in NY? Were they allowed in the building or not? At any rate, I didn't understand why Sonja didn't let them in and thought it was very rude. Why? She was packing? So what? Your dogs get out? Bitch please, you have interns coming and going all hours of the day. Those dogs could get out at any time. That broke down townhouse is big enough. Just let them in and settle them in one room while you go about your business. I wish Bravo would have had the actual footage of them coming in and being told to leave, because the various explanations are always so confusing. I have no issue with Bethenny peeing on the side of the road. I've done it myself. We live out in the country and sometimes there's miles and miles before the next gas station, and even then....some of them are super sketchy and I have my three little kids in the car. When you gotta go, you gotta go. Probably wouldn't do it on camera, though....but oh well. Maybe she just wanted 5 seconds outside of that toxic limo ride. Kristen just might start a new trend with the mis-matched shoes. They actually didn't look half bad! Carole, OTOH, what was that on her head? Bunny ears? Fairy wings? Why??? I'm not an ageist. I could care how old her bf is. People of any age can cut loose and have fun. But with Carole, it's like she's trying SO hard to prove how "young and girlish" she is that it just becomes a sad joke. And she DOES like to get digs in. It's annoying. Like the thing about Lu being European. I don't think Bethenny was trying to say Lu was actually FROM Europe, just saying she does kind of have the European air about her and the short-hair-don't-care look goes with that. BFD. Carole just grates. Anyways, back to Sonja. Wow. She is just a sloppy mess. For one, yes - she needs to stop drinking. She is bad enough sober, but she just becomes unbearable when intoxicated. It's a constant verbal diarrhea of name-dropping and bragging that is just cringe-worthy. I appreciate Bethenny trying with her. And not just yelling at her when it's happening. But she waited until the next morning, when Sonja was ostensibly a bit more composed and really tried to have a heart to heart with her. I felt her motives her totally heartfelt and genuine. But I just don't know that it's going to do any good. Sonja is like a stubborn child. She's going to believe and say what she wants to no matter what. If I was on the show, I would simply smile, nod, and ignore Sonja most of the time. Sadly, I just feel there is no point with her. 20 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140407
trimthatfat May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 According to Kristen's blog, she wanted for everyone to meet at her pad. They got there and lugged all of their luggage to her front door and she turned them away. She recommended that they take that luggage back down the street to a Starbuck's and wait for their transportation. In the rain. In the cold. I just cannot imagine a situation where I would do that to my friends. I would have been beyond pissed in the same situation and I would have been loud about it. The thing that would have really set me off, however, was her response, which was to act like it wasn't a really big deal. If there was a situation that made it necessary for her to not let the girls in, at the very least she should have been incredibly sorry and told them so. I was so totally confused by the limo argument so I appreciate Kristen's clarification. That's really messed up and I would have been furious. Why didn't Sonja just communicate that she couldn't host them or at the very least, let them sit in a semi-clean room in the home while she gets ready? She's really inconsiderate. I bet the inside of her home is atrocious. I don't like Bethenny, but I was cheering her on this episode. Something is seriously wrong with Sonja. She is delusional and very selfish. Every statement begins with 'I...' and she's completely incapable of relating to others on a basic, emotional level. I'd love to know what her relationship is like with her daughter. I just can't picture her as a mother. I hope there are a team of nannies in the wings. 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140410

candall May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) I knew Bethanny was going to adjust and acclimate to Hos2.0. -- "Okay, so we're on military time. Now I know that and I'm good." -- "I don't like it when people take digs. Just SAY IT, don't be taking those little side digs all the time." That's going to be her whole dealio this year--let me know how you want to roll and I'm either in, or I'll fucking let you know that I'm not in. I'm sure there will be lots of complaints about B. being rude, but to me, it's a refreshing change from nicey-nice followed by TH body slams. *************** It's too bad the consensus is mental instability for Sonja, because I laughed when she was trying to slip The Countess some tongue and wasn't able to reach her face. *************** Re Carole--of course it's great to be proud of your body, especially when so few women are, but it's still weird that she reminds us every week. And speaking of body pride, whose butt was that, presented full camera, in the black thong with sheer overlay? It looked to my like they were taking the NJ Turnpike south which has a number of rest stops and exits along the way--I've driven it more times than I can count. Granted, the further south you go, the further between are the stops but seriously? What are these women; frigging 5 years old? Okay, I don't know what they get paid for this mess but, c'mon--really? Call me a priss or a kook but watching 40 and 50-odd year old women peeing in the breakdown doesn't qualify as entertainment in my book. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140540
SFoster21 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 (edited) Actually five year olds have to pee less than older women. I can only speak for myself, but once I was alongside of fifty, the urgency feels greater. So having to go doesn't feel able to put off. These women are largely fifty and beyond. And pee is sterile, not gross. It can even be medicinal. Compared to some of the nastiness we see on these shows, a physically necessary universal act like peeing is humanizing, not disgusting, imo. FamilyVan May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Not too long ago there was a discussion here on the forum about the "new" LuAnn. I never liked Miss Money Can't Buy You Class but even I thought she had changed. Her remarks to Ramona about Mario and especially her demeanor were shades of the Countess from way back when. I look at this differently. I think that Mario was a scumbag, probably was being a philanderer for quite a while and everyone knew about it for years. I think LuAnne knew it too, and she really thinks that Ramona is better off without a flirting, cheating hubby. I mean let's be honest, Ramona was a "look the other way" kind of wife. LuAnne totally gets this. 14 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/26451-s07e06-double-down-on-delusion/page/3/#findComment-1140582
