I was watching a Danish show called "Equinox" on Netflix, and Faison popped up. Anders Hove is only listed as being in the first episode, and it wasn't a long scene, but it's always good to see him.

I saw him on an episode of I think it was CSI or one of those shows. What a great villain he is but he seems like a very versatile actor. I really enjoy him on GH and how unhinged everyone gets around him!

Been watching a lot of old ER episodes lately and saw a few familiar faces:

- Kathleen Gotti, with long blonde hair, playing a woman whose husband was brought in after a car accident and who the doctor tries to convince her to donate his organs.  Always funny when I hear her speaking with her normal accent.

- Kimberly McCullough as a college student who was pregnant and whose boyfriend secretly dosed her tea with something to cause her to miscarry.

- Jeff Kober as a dad whose wife and son were killed in an accident and had to make the decision for one son to donate his heart to the surviving son.

I'm binge watching House and Wes Ramsey plays a Renaissance Festival King who takes his role very seriously on an episode in season 6.

Cynthia Waltros is also in that episode (and a few others) as the former wife and current girlfriend of Dr. Wilson.

I wasn't a viewer, but I recall reading that Cynthia Watros was big on Guiding Light as an enemy of Kim Zimmer's character, Reva. No idea if she had tics there, but I recall she got rave reviews in the soaps mags back in the day.

I was a every day Guiding Light viewer for 20 years and Cynthia Watros was outstanding back in the day. I don't know quite what has happened (too much face work?) but she is not emoting much and seems a shadow (to me, anyways) of her former acting self.

Stuart Damon's version wasn't the first TV Cinderella.  Jon Cypher played Prince Charming opposite Julie Andrews in 1957 (shown on PBS Great Performances in 2004), with step sisters Kaye Ballard and Alice Ghostly. He also ended up on soaps, playing Dr. Alexander Keith on As The World Turns Dr. Arthur Connelly on Santa Barbara, and one episode of GH in 1981 playing Max Van Stadt.

As a Santa Barbara viewer, it was actually Donnelly [Frank Runyeon, best known as Steve Andropolous on As The World Turns, played his son on the show, ex-cop turned priest turned cop once more (don't ask!), Michael Donnelly!].

Also remember Cypher playing bad guys, one example I remember was on a Law & Order episode. The man is one of those "hey, it's that guy!" actors!

I'm watching The O.C. on HBO Max, and I'm up to Kim Delaney's arc as Rebecca. She was Sandy's (Peter Gallagher's) first love, who had spent 20 years as a fugitive after her left-wing activism resulted in someone's death.

It's pretty obvious that this was the period when KD was battling alcoholism (or surrendering to it). Her face is very puffy. The hairstylist is going big with the bangs and the voluminous tresses at the sides of her face for camouflage. Even though this is 16 years ago, I think she looks better on GH.

At least two former GH divas played one-week guest stars on Everwood (2002-06), which I've been watching for the first time on HBO Max.

Jensen Buchanan (ex-Melissa) was in season 1 as the wife of a man who desperately needed a kidney. His only hope lay in his estranged brother, who had been living out in the woods as a hermit for many years and shunning all human contact, ever since his brother (the one who now needed the kidney) stole away the love of his life...Jensen Buchanan! I gave it the exclamation point even though where the story was going was pretty obvious from the first scene.

And Jessica Tuck (ex-Cassandra, the hypochondriac drug queenpin) was in the final season as a woman battling stress urinary incontinence.

They were both good. Soap vets are such natural fits for any show that has Medical Problem of the Week stories.

Matt Cohen keeps showing up cohosting entertainment tonight wearing hipster clothing and hipster hair. He must have hired a young stylist. Not a fan. He is awkward and seems uncomfortable, just like he was on GH. Meh.

He always struck me as a person who was older than he wanted to be/believed himself to look so was constantly trying  to appear younger and more hip. Sad, since he is a guy and, as we all know, Hollywood is much kinder to men than women when it comes to aging. How old did Sean Connery have to be before he was considered older rather than sexy? Matt Cohen is currently later 30s which is more than young enough to still be considered attractive without putting in awkward effort.  I'm not sure I've ever experienced more second-hand embarrassment while watching GH than I did watching him dancing during one of those horrible Magic Milo numbers.

She played the acquaintance of the murder victim, who is now (crime in ‘78, investigation some 30 years later) a mom herself.

I loved the "Sentimental Lady" ending of it. Great  song. Lindsay Haun (from the Color of Friendship 1999 Disney movie) played the younger her and I thought they were a pretty decent match.

Joey Novek the goon was in this gay indie called Say Yes, where he plays a straight man who's dying wife wants to set him up with her (male) sibling, who is bisexual.

It was REALLY cheaply done but I thought it was decent given the budget limitations. Also some pretty decent chemistry. If gay movies are your thing I recommend it if you see it pop up on a streamer. (It was on Tubi for a bit but it's not on there anymore.)

Jon Lindstrom also did a one-episode pop-in. He was a cancer patient who was smoking the ganja, and he made a pass at Rose. He keeps playing guys who are into small-town female mayors.

Nicholas Betchel landed a gig on American Horror Stories. Good for him! I didn't watch the episode because frankly the series didn't appeal to me (Ryan Murphy is REALLY hit or miss with me) but hopefully Nicholas made a good impression on him given that Ryan loves to re-use people. I'm sure Ryan will probably do another high school show. Maybe even with actual high school-aged people!

Doing another Buffy rewatch (because aside from what a trash human Joss Whedon is, it's always time for another Buffy rewatch), and look who showed up in season 3 of the episode "Helpless": Jeff Kober! He played this vampire who was super creepy and was placed as a test for Buffy to defeat while she is incapacitated slayer-wise, meaning she doesn't have her powers anymore. Stupid Watcher's Council.

Anyway, he was excellent. Really dug into the role and was genuinely horrifying. And that's saying a lot for this show.

I watched it.  He was pretty good, actually.  And I'll say this: the kid isn't 4'11" or whatever number was being noted.  He's probably about 5'6" or 5'7".  Not a giant, but not super short, either.  Thing is, he's 16 and *looks* 16.  No way could he be the Spencer they want at this point.

It's funny because Google still says 4'6" but his IMDB is saying 5'8". So 5'6" is probably right, lol. But yeah, they clearly want Spencer to be Bruce Patman from Sweet Valley High (with Esme as a psychotic Lila Fowler) and that's just not happening. It's not how Nicholas Betchel developed. Right now he can't believably play someone who could be a college student. He can still believably play Hollywood 13.

(Bruce and Lila forever!) Ahem. Yeah, I definitely can't see NB playing this Spencer. I'm glad for the recast. I don't know how to say this delicately, but NB besides being short is not a heartthrob type.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but they clearly want a character that an 18-year old girl like Trina is going to find hot despite her better judgement. They want a hearthrob like Tyler Christopher was at 24-playing-16. An adorkable kid who's really 16 and can still believably play junior high is not going to cut it. It sucks but NB is going to be fine, especially if Ryan Murphy decides he likes his work.

I saw a Hallmark move A Little Daytime Drama starting Ryan Paevy (Nathan) and Jen Lilley (substitute Maxie) - were they on GH at the same time?  Anyway the movie was kinda funny, RP played a soap star who left his show and then returned, JL played the head writer and they were discussing different ways to write him back in after his character (a detective) was killed off: amnesia, vampire, or he could just be an unrelated character who happens to look the same.  😜

Oh And Linda Dano played their boss so, triple GH doppelgängers.

I saw that movie, and it's like the writers put in the Easter eggs for fun. Paevey played a detective who had been killed off the show but the network head insisted that he be brought back so the head writer was trying to figure out how to do it (amnesia and falling in love with a new woman). There was a soap opera convention with excited fans, an older married-on-the-show couple who had met on the show and married in real life (Days of Our Lives?), and at one point the writer says to Paevey's character when he wants to confess something "I know you're not really 6'2".) Fun.

If Ryan Murphy likes you, it’s almost as good as Dick Wolf liking you. He used Bechtel as Rob Kardashian in the American Crime Story: O.J. and now in AHS. Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and many others have thrived with Murphy. NB bugged the crap out of me, but good for him — he may yet have a career!

Lucky for Nicholas, Ryan Murphy does have a place in his universe for adorkable twinks. They usually don't get to lead unless they're Cody Fern but he might be positioned well for whenever Ryan Murphy decides to start another high school show.

OMGEE!!! How did I forget that Kimberly McCullough had a small guest role in Legally Blonde as a sorority sister of Elle’s????

And Elle was watching this show when Yeller McYellerson was playing Lucky! And the episode where original scuzzbucket Zander had given Elizabeth that drugged water and Lucky’s tell her she won’t remember anything tomorrow.

As I continue my JAG rewatch...I see more General Hospital Alumni/current characters!

Mark Coloma, current Nik, played a peeping Tom petty officer! He looked like such a baby in 2003! If not for seeing his name in the credits, I wouldn't have recognized him!

We also got Original Recipe Nik! Tyler Christopher played Gunnery Sergeant who covered for his abused son who had killed his mom when she was trying to kill him (the son). I don't know if this was after Tyler left, or if he was still on this show at the time. Wait. It had to be after because he had that marine hair cut/style. His character was also a victim of his wife's abuse.

Of course there's Corbin Bernsen, as well, but he was on this show for such a short time--I consider him more famous for L.A. Law, then Psych. Of course his appearance as a judge was between those two shows. I will forever hate Guza for making him Cujo's father. He deserved better. And having him be her bio father just white washed Bobbie's past as a prostitute to some extent.

And now we have Cameron Mathison. He played--Hello! Navy Commander! Not a Seal, but a Submariner. He was good. I can't believe I forgot that I'd seen him on JAG. And this performance was under much better writers.
