I don’t doubt she has some anxiety, but definitely not debilitating. I had some pretty severe anxiety about 5 years ago that landed me in the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack. I was incredibly stressed, but I don’t even think i would have classified that episode  as debilitating!

I agree! I have panic attacks, and I think my mom, my grandmother, and myself have some sort of hereditary anxiety disorder, but none of us have ever been diagnosed. I’m one of those people whose mind immediately goes to worst case scenario, and dwells on it, and nobody can convince me otherwise! That’s how I am currently feeling, as a teacher going back into the classroom full-time. I’m 100% sure I will die a painful corona death.

However, I have had scary enough panic attacks to call 911, but I have never, ever been rude to anyone while having one. I got my worst one ever while in the car with my ex, on our way to bonefish grill, where I had to sit in the car a few hours and cry. It was awful!  But I kept constantly telling him thank you for being there for me, and that I appreciated him. It’s not that hard! You can still decide to be nice while having a panic attack, and acknowledge you’re inconveniencing others, because everything’s not about you. Chelsea, on the other hand, bites everyone’s head off, and is soooo mean to her mother! Her stans insist that she can’t help it, and it’s impossible to control your behavior during a panic attack! And has anyone ever noticed that her panic attacks never actually ruin something that she wants to do? She always claims to have one in the car, but then is fine to get to her destination and do what she wants. She never has to sit in the car for a few hours before she can go in!

i believe Chelsea is facing some anxiety, but it only seems bad to her because she has never solved a problem before. I think with the jittery effects of adderall + not getting enough nutrients, she was already hanging on by a thread. Then, she added two babieeeees that she can’t manage, and for the first time, she had to do something hard. Now that cole is with her, doing the work, she seems a lot less anxious!

I have noticed this!! Again, I don’t doubt Chelsea feels anxious, (every human being feels anxious at sometime or another), but I did notice that it never stopped her from doing something she wanted to do or something fun.

I do feel for Chelsea if she’s struggling, because she’s a human being, but sometimes I think people find so much identity in the struggle they CHOOSE not to help themselves. Chelsea isn’t so sick she’s incapable of rational steps to get better.

Reminds me of a co-worker I once had who called in sick ALL THE TIME- migraines she said. I don’t doubt she actually had migraines, but over the years we worked together I noticed these migraines never stopped her from having fun on the weekends or after work. (Based on her own description if her off time)

Yeah, that sounds super fishy. I get migraines too, but most people’s...like 90% if not 100%...get worse on weekends. It’s because you have structure and routine the other days, but then you deviate from that schedule on weekends. Also, it’s a delayed stress reaction. You can usually hold it together during the week, but then when you let down your guard, that’s when they come. They call it letdown stress. That’s why college students are famous for coming home and getting migraines after exams! So that does put up a red flag to me. If she is lying about migraines, it makes me mad! We struggle to have our disease taken seriously, and people lying about it just make it that much harder for people who are really suffering!

i agree about Chelsea’s identity thing, too. She is able to control her family through having anxiety, so why stop? She also finds her identity in having 23 babies at a time, and that’s what is likely giving her anxiety.

There have been rumors for years, which I personally believe because:

1. I could see her actually having ADHD, and...

2. She is so undisciplined, and will never do anything she doesn’t want to do. I could totally see her popping a pill over researching dieting and putting lots of effort into weight loss, especially since it usually doesn’t pay off fast. I especially think it would have been a storyline, too! However, I don’t doubt that as adderall helped her lose weight, it encouraged her to choose healthier foods and exercise to keep the weight loss going. I just totally don’t see her still being motivated after working hard for a month and losing two pounds.

Chronic migraine sufferer here. Holding a full time job is impossible.  It does get worse on the weekend it seems.  I rarely have a break with no pain. PT work is all I can do.  However (shhhhh) I finally got brave enough to have surgery for a deviated septum, turboplasty, and latera for nasal collapse.  It’s been exactly one month.  In one month I’ve had 5 migraines.  5!!! From 25 a month to 5! Y’all, if this fixed it I’m gonna party hard!! There might be some drunken misunderstandings by the bonfire. Oh wait, this is Chelsea’s thread.  Crap. What does she do for fun? Lol

Honestly?  I think she looks like a pill head in her recent photos.  Clearly I don’t know for certain, as I do not know Chelsea and I am not her doctor, but....I’m not new on the streets, either.  For not yet 30 she is aging hard.

And her drastic change in style does it for me! The ripped, distressed look isn’t my style, but she had a consistent style, and looked somewhat neat (even hen she was trying to look messy but like she worked on it for hours). Now she just looks disgusting, like she was camping and got lost for a week. That reminds me of someone on drugs who gets really bad ideas because they’re out of touch with reality. Being with all yes people is also a good way to get out of touch with reality.

Camping and got lost for a week??? I almost spit out my tea.

For someone that’s so image conscious have noticed a change in her- before her style was intentional. I don’t if she’s just tired and it’s quarantine hair or what.

Glad to see so many coming around wrt the DeBoers. Because she's not doing porn like Farrah or in and out of jail like Jenelle and Co., people tend to think she is the "good" one. Well, it is all relative.

To me, they are 150% phony. What a sad state to profit off selling the privacy of your young children. Pathetic. She could not even hold down a very part-time job but we're supposed to believe she is a clothing and diaper bag designer.

I think Chelsea is very talented!!!!...if your chosen style is "Peyton Sawyer - One Tree Hill circa 2005".

I can't stand either of these assholes, but especially Cole. He's like Alec Baldwin's annoyingly optimistic character on Friends.

Chelsea: *sharts*

Cole: OMG, that was the most amazingly boisterous and juicy fart I've ever heard in my life! My smoking hot wife rips the best, most beautiful farts and I'm the LUCKIEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!!!

To me, Chelsea has four things going for her that none of the other teen moms can say (all 4 that is) - 1. she seems to actually like her kids, 2. She is respectful to her parents, 3. she has never gotten in trouble with the IRS or the local county for not paying taxes, and 4. she reportedly has a college account for Aubrey that has enough to cover 4 years of tuition and she has never raided it. That's it. That puts her in the top percentile for teen moms but when compared to regular people she is sadly lacking in many areas.

She’s not always been that nice to her Mom.  I remember an event at Aubree’s school where if I wasn't looking at the TV I would’ve thought it was Farrah tslking

Cole is the worst now. Like honestly all he does is work out in his driveway basically. Like what else does he do all day. He can’t be busy. How can he justify himself when he was supposed to be this hardworking guy. Obviously was not a hardworking guy. I mean he’s not as bad as other teen mom dads but ppl give him way too much praise. I guess his days are filled with complimenting Chelsea and going on ig to film his workouts then jerk off to all the losers who praise him in the comments. Bunch of jokes.

Cole reminds me of the old adage: a person who marries for money will end up earning every penny. Sure he doesn't have to do his traffic control job anymore, but he spends all day it sounds like reassuring Chelsea of her beauty and worth and I would seriously rather work at Taco Bell than have to do that.

Why do all these girls claim anxiety, depression, etc.? Every last one of them has bipolar, depression, etc., and I am not saying they don't. I just think they use that as a crutch and an excuse. If they had to work a normal job and depend on that shit income to pay their bills they wouldn't be able to be off work because of whatever the excuse is.

I know that anxiety disorders are no joke, but I believe that the majority of these people use "anxiety" as interchangeable with "I get uncomfortable or overwhelmed any time I have to do something boring/unpleasant". Newsflash, ladies: most adults have to deal with stressful situations, either in their home lives or work lives.

THIS ^^^^^

These girls are stunted at 16.  In Chelsea’s case I’ll go as far as to say I think her “anxiety” is actually embarrassment.  I think she knows what it looks like that Cole quit his job, which is also why they tried to keep it on the down low.  She can’t take the online comments because she is a thin skinned baby that never had to grow up or work for anything.

I could not agree with you all more. I’m not unsympathetic to panic attacks. I had several last summer due to work stress (something none of them are familiar with). 2 of them were at work; good thing I have access to a private storage closet that I call the crying closet. When I stopped hyperventilating and crying, I wiped my eyes, reapplied my makeup, and went back to work. Because that’s what I have to do. These girls have no reason not to wallow in it, since that’s their most “interesting”storyline.

I mean, I'm very sympathetic to people suffering from anxiety and panic attacks; I'm a life long suffer myself. I've had anxiety and panic attacks so bad I was unable to leave my house for days at a time. But ya' know what? I got meds and went on with my life. I've held jobs, went to school and had my family. So it's hard to sympathize with Chelsea, who has all the time and resources in the world to deal with her shit and get it under control.

Personally, I think the major source of Chelsea's anxiety is mostly being in the public eye, but that's on her; she could've quit TM2 years ago, if she and Cole had been willing to live more modestly and, a very revolutionary idea her, get jobs. Who I really feel for are the kids. I'm sure they, especially Aubree, are feeling the effects of being in the public eye and it's effecting their mental states, and the poor kids have no choice in the matter.

I agree so much with this! Her fans will say, “you’re stigmatizing mental illness! Not everyone copes the same! Quit gatekeeping!” No, honey. CHELSEA stigmatizes mental illness more than anybody else! And like you said, it’s hard for me to feel sorry for someone who has all the resources in the world, but just refuses to put in a little work (therapy) or gain a small amount of weight (meds). If she had to work for a living, she would try at least one really quickly, and get on with her life. There would be no other option. She is SO lucky to be able to figure out what works best for her while not having the stress of a job, but for whatever reason, she won’t do it.

100%!!! I believe he is earning every penny! I would also hate blowing smoke up her butt all day, while being snapped at, mistreated, and not allowed a say in anything. I just don’t get why she expects him to handle her anxiety. If she broke her arm, would she insist cole treat it with a homemade cast, instead of going to the doctor?

I have a full-time job and I know that when I have some time off and not much to do, as much as I like it, I get anxious.  I need structure and routine.  I think the lack of that attributes to the anxiety.  Also, apparently she used to (still does?) pop Xanax like pez so I bet she is used to taking something when she feels uncomfortable, which doesn't help overall.

Former Xanax user. I tried for years to mask severe anxiety with pills and alcohol, and when I quit both, I was uncomfortable all the time since I didn’t have my crutch.
If she’s taking Xanax, then she’s probably feeling that sane discomfort once it wears off. She needs to get on a good SSRI and into therapy to learn coping mechanisms. The world won’t bend to fit your needs.

the timing seems right for Chelsea! She can be heavily pregnant when it’s time to move in. I don’t want to hear any complaints from her about being pregnant during a pandemic, or how hard it is to have three little ones! I know it sounds harsh, but she chose this. A lot of people are struggling during the pandemic over things they didn’t choose.

Someone commented that she should keep her legs closed, and she said “these legs stay open for my husband” which I thought was kinda funny.

But I would not be putting my family in the public eye like this especially since Aubree is old enough to know what’s going on. But the easy money is just too tempting I suppose.

Amen a billion times. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1993 and I consider myself to be "one of the lucky ones", but that has a lot to do with using medication properly, not drinking, using street drugs, having any children, being celibate, and having a family that wouldn't coddle me. I had to bend. The world won't and if you can't work, life on SSDI sucks immeasurably.

I've been able to work full time and get a master's degree. People can live with mental health problems, but it takes a lot to live with it harmoniously. I've had some crappy times and it wasn't a straight line of recovery by any means. It's a lot of medication, side effects, and therapy.

Therapy provides coping skills. Therapy is not optional. Meds alone will take a person far, but minus coping skills and some insight, it'll be harder than it has to be. Xanax can stop working and turn on you like an angry cat if you rely on it way too much.

Good luck Chelsea. Four kids. Hormones. Postpartum blues. And a camera there to capture it all!

But wait! There's more!!! They'll all become teenagers too. Enjoy.
