S13.E16: Teresa Wedding Special

First of all, beautiful wedding.  I question though all the bridesmaids, the opulence, the white gown and over the top hair etc.   This is a second wedding for both.  It could have been a great celebration even if it was toned down.

Second Margaret is a prune faced snake.   If they weren't filming she wouldn't have shown up.   So many nasty, mean spirited comments from her.  I'll bet she left early to run to Melissa's.

Last but not least freaking Joe and Melissa are disgusting.  Why would they do what they did?  Small, petty vindictive behavior just like spoiled children.

I know I am in the minority  but I really enjoyed the wedding and seeing everyone so happy. It was so refreshing to not have fist banging g and screaming. Tre looked elated. Yes, it was over the top but it was pure Tre and I loved it. The Jersey accents make me laugh. I thought it was beautiful and perfect. And I hope everyone is wrong about Louie.

She doesn't get enough credit, but Dolores continues to be the MVP, the voice of reason.  38 years, she's been friends with Teresa.  And not everything has to be about turmoil, fighting.  It was good to see a happy relationship, family with the Catanias.

Of course the wedding was Jersey OTT, lol.

Biggest loser was Margaret.  The Gorgas CHOSE not to be there.  And it was ridiculous she told Marge Sr not come.  Let’s be real – she and Melissa are just TV “friends”.  Remember she had no problem gossiping to Jenn that Joe Gorga doesn’t pay his bills.

They must have decided to demote Jack's before the last few episodes. Blink and you'll miss her (or not).

Everyone is sooo orange. No dry cleaners in the world will be able to remove the spray tan stains form tre's white gowns.

Wedding was extremely tacky in the most Jersey way possible. Tre walking down the aisle looking like the Queen of the Jerz. God bless, it's not for me, but I get it. 

Margaret is honestly a massive, gross, overdone loser with nothing to offer. And, no, that is not a good weight for her, Jill. She needs a few pounds not to look like her own mother's twin sister. She's a nasty piece of work and may be my most hated housewife on any franchise and that's saying a LOT.

Not sure why THIS of all things bothered me the most, but WHY did Jen and Bill's daughter dance in with them in the introductions? I had a visceral negative reaction to that. They have raised a little camera whore. 

Also, to the poster wondering why they were not at a closer venue, it originally was I thought, and it had to be changed last minute because Ramona leaked the wedding invitation to the public.

12 year old Audriana looked 20 to me. I could not believe how much makeup she was wearing. Reminded me of the time I was 14 and my friend put green eyeshadow on me and my dad grounded me for life. Technically, I am still grounded.

I think it's okay for little kids (birth to 5 or 6) to be seen occasionally, because they are all too cute, and then, maybe occasionally see them as teenagers (14 and up), but a big NO for those pre-tween, tween and early teen ages, as much as possible.  There is so much that can go wrong because those ages are tough enough, but to add criticism from others because they're on TV is horrible.

Seeing the kids when the housewives are filmed in their own homes, doing "housewifey" things is fine and understandable, but Jennifer seems to be toting her daughter around and showing her off at every possible housewife filmed event like Olivia is the latest Chanel handbag.

Couldn't agree more...I was a little shocked that Olivia was there. This was an adult wedding. The stripper/burlesque dancer was so inappropriate at a wedding.. and I have to say, not only was it tasteless and vulgur, it was just gross. Between that and the sword swallower, I wasn't sure if this was a wedding or the circus had come to town. Olivia should not have been there...period.

Oh but there was banging and screaming...Looney was yelling about how he was going to "bury" Joe Gorga...he likes using Mafia like language when he's in full rage mode. Milania was yelling too about Gabriella crying. Which brings up a question...who was the Maid of Honor? Whoever it was should have given the directive to the other bridesmaids and all the make up/hair people NOT to bring up Joe Gorga and Melissa not being there to Teresa. Jen Aydin is just stupid...she's not even family but she brings up Joe/Melissa not coming to Teresa when she's getting her three pounds of make up on? Dolores should have come over and told her to STFU.

I totally agree about Joe Gorga posting a truly vindictive and immature video. That was cruel and nasty. Honestly, Looney should have blocked Joe and Melissa from his social media and texts/email. He should have put his phone away until the next day.

You see how Margaret shuts down and starts to spiral when she's confronted with sense? 

She's on her poor Melissa and Joe spiel (in front of the cameras, of course) and how she doesn't feel right dancing the night away when they aren't there. Well then why did she even go to the wedding? This is Teresa and Luis wedding, it's not about Joe and Melissa (but, oh, how they tried to make the wedding about them all season long). And it's not about Margaret's fake feelings, either. Brownie points to Jen Fessler for pointing out the obvious to her... and that is why Margaret shut the conversation down because she knows she's wrong. 

Everyone's reaction to Teresa's hair was so funny. I got the vibe that even Teresa didn't want it that high, but she rolled with it - even though she would've been justified in asking her hairdresser to make adjustments. 

It looked like everyone who's not Margaret had a great time. The bride and groom enjoying themselves is the most important thing.

YES!!! Audriana looked at least 18-20 years old. All of the bridesmaids had way too much make up on. The "dorters" dresses were too tight.

I think Tre's girls were all Maid's of Honor (or maybe Gia was and the others bridesmaids). The daughters were all up at the altar during the ceremony but the other (fake TV) bridesmaids were sitting down in the front  row.

Speaking of Tre's girls, Gia and Milania are obnoxious. Right? After this gaudy wedding and all the drama leading up to it and beyond, I really don't want to see anymore of the Guidice girls, Teresa, Looney, Joe, Melissa, Jen Aydin and Margaret. Recast this show with Delores being the anchor HW. I could do without Danielle and the Fuda woman. Jen Fessler (sp?) is fine...keep her.

Now all I hear is dorters when Tre mentions them. I do think they are slightly obnoxious. The young one, not so much but that girl does not look like a 12 year old! I do think in her young years, Gia really did love Zio Joe and that’s why the whole thing bothers her. I think other than that it’s mainly the girls being mad on their moms behalf. I don’t blame them though, all those shitty posts the Gorgas make are childish. They are the true assholes tied with Marge.

I do not understand why anyone would plan an outdoor wedding in early August. Heat and humidity are no one's friend. I felt sorry for the guests who had to sit there in the sun waiting for the ceremony to start. Thankfully, it appeared to be a short one.

Teresa and Luis seem happy & in love. We forget that they've been together for three years. I just re-watched season one of RHUGT (filmed in early 2021)  and was reminded that the "love bubble" seemingly has legs. I liked seeing him having his family involved, even at his age and when it's a second wedding for both. I may have actually misted up watching the girls toast them. Yep, I can be a sap like that.

I know that the Gorgas thought they were punishing Teresa by skipping the wedding but I, for one, am so, so glad they did. Only wish that Marge had done the same.  The reception was so light & fun without them there. None of the drama, pouting or whining.  This episode reminded of the days when the Housewives were light & entertaining.  Now there's always someone mad at someone else, dinners full of bickering, or teams plotting takedowns. It's sad.

I taped it as usual and watched it three times already.  I love weddings.  No fights this time which was a bonus.  I did love the dress and gloves.  Simple and elegant.  The hair .. well, that’s her.  Lol.  Just wondering if Joe & Melissa will be back next season.

Marge should not have even gone to the ceremony if she felt so strongly about not celebrating them. Boycotting the reception was pointless. Jen Fessler got her mac & cheese during the cocktail hour, so I'm sure she was okay with leaving early. 

The circus acts were too tacky for that beautiful venue. I thought I was watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Not only was Tre's Marge Simpson hairstyle awful, but the extensions actually looked quite cheap. And considering a lot of people's reaction to it (at the wedding and on message boards) she really wasted her money. The ceremony dress was nice, but the reception dress was a hot mess. It looked like lingerie for a porno. 

In regards to so many Bravolebrities being there ... if Megan Markle can have celebs at her wedding that she's never met, so can Tre. 

Gia is the prettiest one of Tre's daughters. Gabriella has a very rectangular face, Audriana has weird features and Milania has never been pretty and that hasn't changed as she's gotten older. The dresses were a beautiful color. 

They do seem like they've blended their families nicely, so I'll give them that. 

Joe & Mel posting their own party on social media was petty, but here's a thought Louis ... just ignore it. You let them win by being affected by it. Also petty, Tre constantly mentioning her 'chosen family'. We get it, you've replaced your actual family - Joe, Mel, Cathy, Rich & Rosie. But if you ever break up with Louis, his family will drop you like a hot rock (even the mother-in-law who seemed to like you) and probably badmouth you all over social media. 

I still think some of scenes from the show will be used on a future episode of Dateline. 

Congrats to Delores for being friends with Tre for 38 years. She deserves a medal. 

As so many of the men were bright red, I'm assuming they're all sunburned and it's not their usual natural color. Except Louis whose shade of red varies depending on his mood.

Yes! Dolores is the only one I like to watch. They can lose all the rest of them and get some fresh faces on there. I love Dolores and Paulie and Frankie Junior. Anybody buy Margaret's version of why her mother didn't attend the wedding?  She seems to enjoy being on camera.  She doesn't seem to be in tight with the Gorgas.

There's lots of reasons not to go to a wedding.  I know I'm thrilled to not receive an invitation to the wedding of a mere acquaintance or their family members and have at times declined an invitation if there is one; being on the hook for an expensive gift for someone I am not at all close to being one of the main reasons...

Joe B and Fessler’s husband looked like someone ran over their puppies while they were leaving, poor guys. I thought Marge looked great, though. That dress was awesome and I’d wear it.

I live in Central Florida and when I saw 93 degrees for the wedding temperature I thought, “Oh, is that all?’ 😂😂😂 I can’t tell you how many outdoor weddings I go to May - August and it’s basically the bowels of hell. I never stand for pics until I’ve been inside at the reception for at least an hour, and fuck it if the reception is also outdoors. 🙄 that place looked big enough to house all of those people inside for both the wedding and reception.

Glad Bravo didn’t give that Olivia kid more airtime. Are her parents spending all of Bill’s money on booze and weed and can’t afford to buy her a hairbrush? She always looks so ratty, it’s amazing her mother is as self-absorbed and into looks but lets her kid come on national television with unwashed hair and in a nightshirt. She’s so sweet with other children, so we really need to see her more in that element. ❤️

Fuck the skanky, ‘roided out, scamming grifter Gorgas. Oh, and then fuck them again. Looney was completely justified in everything he said on the hot mic after seeing their shitty-assed social media posts on the day of his wedding. I would have said the same thing if I were him as it was going to upset Teresa and there was nothing he could do about it. They really do need to be gone, and for good.

You know, hearing him talk about his alcoholic father sort of explained a little about him...his Dad has only been sober for eight years so that means Luis has been dealing with this for his entire adult life as well as his childhood. No wonder he as so much anger. Sounds like his Dad was a real peach during his childhood.

Teresa and Luis seem happy & in love. We forget that they've been together for three years. I just re-watched season one of RHUGT (filmed in early 2021)  and was reminded that the "love bubble" seemingly has legs. I liked seeing him having his family involved, even at his age and when it's a second wedding for both. I may have actually misted up watching the girls toast them. Yep, I can be a sap like that.

I know that the Gorgas thought they were punishing Teresa by skipping the wedding but I, for one, am so, so glad they did. Only wish that Marge had done the same.  The reception was so light & fun without them there. None of the drama, pouting or whining.  This episode reminded of the days when the Housewives were light & entertaining.  Now there's always someone mad at someone else, dinners full of bickering, or teams plotting takedowns. It's sad. 

I thought was fun & cute, as was Teresa's response of "yeah!"  Good on them.

It won't be fun and cute a couple of years from now when Teresa is exhausted from morning, noon and night sessions with him.

Louie should have laughed at the Gorgas pathetic posts. Both sides have been doing this for a long time. I remember Tre going on about the Giudices being the family that was there for her but they changed their tune after the split. These folks all need to shut up about family.

The funniest thing about career-less Jenn is she is pissed that her daughter (or dorter as Teresa says) actually has a career in mind at her age, being a therapist means she will need a masters degree, it is a lot of schooling, does Jenn think that her daughter should only have marriage on her mind?  

The fact that Jenn allows Olivia on camera looking like a hot mess is sad but it is authentic, it is her real life.  It would have never happen in my house!

Life with Looney is probably exhausting, could that be the name of their spin-off, Life with Louis? Since Tardy to the Party is done Bravo might need another house of cards to follow?

I still want to know about that good looking guy in Looney's wedding party, Fernando...what is his claim to fame?

Bravo must have ordered the Fesslers to leave with Margaret, because they appear perfectly capable of arranging alternate transportation and clearly didn't want to go. 

Everybody was focused on the height of Teresa's hair, which was silly, but also reflective of her taste. Nobody's talking about the color difference between the extensions and her natural hair - I found it really distractingly fake looking on my tv. Maybe in person it looked better?  If I was spending 20k on hair and makeup I'd want my hair to actually look like my own.

I wonder if Gabriella's anger was directed at Bravo for forcing the Gorga storyline during something that should be happy. Obviously they were calling the shots and footing the bill, but she may have been disturbed at how much it was bleeding into the actual intimacy of the occasion.

I can't help it, Louis gives me the ick.

What was the point of having 47 bridesmaids when none of them stood at the front with the bride and groom? That's the whole point of having a bridal party. I can actually appreciate the sentiment of them just having their kids up there, it was very sweet. But then the kids should have just been the bridal party.

The kids should have been the only bridal party to begin with.  Those dresses on Dolores and Jenn, the last minute bridesmaids didn't get whipped up and fitted in two weeks. The whole show was like a train wreck where you couldn't look away but oh, the ecological disaster potential!
