I've always rather liked Heather because she knows what she is, and doesn't pretend to be something than who she is. Sure, she can be elitist and braggy but it's not like she's trying to hide that.  And she's not a bottomless pit of narcissistic need like Vicki and a sneaky pot-stirrer like Tamra.

Anyway, I do think she was a little over the top last night with the bragging but I suspect that was as much about production wanting to reintroduce her, etc. I give production credit, though, having Gina be the narrator for the tour was smart - she punctured through a lot of Heather's bragginess in a fun way.

Shannon still strikes me as fragile. But I'm glad that both Kelly and Braunwyn are gone, they were overtaking the show in a really unpleasant way.

It was conspicuous consumption on steroids. Before, I could tolerate and maybe be slightly amused by her grandiosity. But Wednesday was just too much of it in my face. I don’t begrudge people having nice things. But I don’t appreciate it when those nice things are used to try to one-up one’s peers, or to show how much better off one is. If production wanted to reintroduce her, the scene at the start with the kids was nice. Maybe mention the podcast and that Terry is still working on butts and boobs (for those who don’t watch Botched), and maybe a glimpse or two of the place that was being built when she left. But to spend a lot of time on the mansion was just off-putting. Maybe all that braggadocio is a foreshadowing that Heather is headed for a rough season here — pride goeth, and all that.

Shannon definitely felt more at ease around Gina and Emily. Too much has happened, I think, between Heather and Shannon for that “friendship” to really recover.

Comparatively speaking, I always liked Heather. But she’s dropped a few notches with me. Did not miss Kelly, Brawnwyn, or Elizabeth at all. This cast looks like at least they’ll bring something to the table this year to revive this franchise a little and finally get beyond the ghosts of Tamra and Vicki.

Do plastic surgeons make that much? On VPR, Raquel was going to see the other Botched doc (I cannot recall his name right now to save my life) and she said fixing her nose would cost something like $36k iirc, so if Terry charges that much as well, then maybe?

I'm wondering if Terry inherited from his brother when he passed? Kevin was the lead singer of Quiet Riot, and they were huge in the 80's and probably made bank. (Unless he spent it all?)

Thank you @sheetmoss for the house video link! I'm going to drink my generic cola and chips while I stare at all that glorious name-brand excess 😆

Paul Nassif, Adrienne’s ex.

Terry looks like a totally beaten down man resigned to the fact he’ll be working forever doing plastic surgery and selling snake oil to keep his wife happy. I wonder how much — if any — in residuals Heather pulls in from her other acting gigs to contribute. Pretty certain it’s not enough, even with the Bravo paycheck, to help pay for a house/hotel like that.

When you watch the house porn, be sure to take note of the chandelier that was hauled in on the biggest container ship EVER, the rare marble, the secret bathroom, the panel on the champs door that automatically opens on her 100,000 bottles of the finest stuff, the podcasting studio(s), the towel warmer, port au cochiere, and the 10, 12, 13 oh, however-the-hell many rooms that place has. Heather can’t remember.

Just barf.

Heather was always obnoxious as a Housewife, now that Andy has made the her Queen of the show omg, she's beyond annoyingly smug.

They kept saying the Nicole woman looked like Pam Anderson,  I thought she was Carmen Electra at first.

So much boring and plastic fakeness.  We are used to overdone faces and implants but oh my it really is too much on this season. Especially because all these women are so boring.

I cant see myself checking in every episode to watch this cast.

Shannon's daughters love taking the piss out her. I don't enjoy it much.

Smugness  seems to be all over these people.

I really wish Heather were on BH instead where they wouldn’t be as awestruck with her wealth or overly impressed with her fancy pants attitude, plus, having to rub elbows with Rinna who’s had her own tv career would make her head explode.

She and Rinna are (or were) friends. There was a scene some seasons ago when Heather was getting back into auditioning and she met Rinna for lunch and they were bitching about how hard it is to find work (IIRC). Rinna’s lips looked halfway normal in that scene. I think they were also carping about their husbands.

I don’t know how well she’d fare with the BH harpies. She can be queen of the manor (literally and figuratively) on OC — why would she want to leave that?

The only part I liked and that's because when the kids lived at home I was the only woman/girl and would have killed for bathroom without boys knowing where it was.

Yes, I really liked that too because we could see how hard the whole ordeal was on her and she did the right thing anyway.   A genuine person with seemingly real values is not going to fit in very well with this nest of plastic OC Barbies and The Ladies Who Lunch.   Right now Gina and Emily are the only reason I'm going to watch.  Oh, also to snark and drag Heather.   😉

I admit I had to Google a pic of her. Yep. Dead ringer.

And Dr. Jen kind of reminded me just a little of Gretchen.

I thought Nicole sued Terry…that was Shannon’s big secret with Gina and Emily.

I don’t know any details about the suit, which is why I’m wondering why Heather doesn’t know about it. I’m assuming doctors get sued all the time; why wouldn’t she know about this? 🤷‍♀️

Yeah....I meant is her Max Headroom looking face the reason she sued?  My lame attempt at a joke 😜

I know I am in the minority but I kinda like Heather.  Yeah she can be snooty and braggy, but at least I know she isn't gonna call someone a c*unt or bear her teeth and snarl at them when they dare to question.

Btw......I see people posting about the tour of her house, which is the sole reason why I watched the ep.  Where was it in the ep?  I didn't watch the premeire Wed night but saw the re-run last night and there was no tour......unless I have completely lost my mind and missed it?  Anyone else watch last night and was the episode edited from the original airing?  Or am I just crazy?

I personally don't put all of the excessively conspicuous consumption on Heather.  Terry is her equal in this.  They both equate this type of excess with showing their success and value.  Yes, he was bringing in more money between his shows and practice.  However, he also uses the house as evidence of how successful he is. He occasionally does the standard, "Oh, my wife!" schtick, but they are equal partners.  Heather's taste may have guided the build of the house, but Terry is onboard for all of it.

This, exactly. Just like Erika Jayne didn't "force" Tom Girardi to swindle widows and orphans out of millions, I doubt very much that Terry Dubrow is being forced to spend all of this money because of Heather. I don't love the narrative that any of these men are just poor, downtrodden victims forced to make millions of dollars because of their gold-digging wives. Terry Dubrow likes his life, and I doubt that Heather is beating him down and twisting his arm to make money.

Quite honestly, I'm glad they got the house tour out of the way. I suspect that production knew lots of people would be interested in seeing how the house turned out, so they got it out of the way quickly as part of Heather's reintroduction. While it was happening, I was saying, "you know, there are people who can't afford food," so it does affront my sensibilities from that perspective. But from a purely practical standpoint, I think that the best thing for them to do was get it all out of the way in the season premiere.

Toward the end Heather took Gina and Shannon through the house, room by room. I DVR’ed the premiere and I noticed that the recording went for about 90 minutes. I figured that included a WWHL. Could they have edited parts out to get the run time down to 60 minutes? This scene was before the party, if they showed that. It went onfairly long, which is partly why I lost patience with her.

This is going to be great.

Nicole: so much to say. First, thigh gap. She is TINY. If she waltzed in to the Dubrow manse for that party knowing full well she sued him (and H isn't aware) that is baller. She is hair metal eye candy alum and she should be all the way full time. Girl has stories. She is glamour shots, one molecule away from pure plastic, living the dream OC. Where did she come from where will she go Cotton eyed Joe?

Dr Jen: a few bad angles in the kitchen w/her husband I think a preview thru the facade.

Noella: beautiful. A lot though. Married to an ambulance chase adds flavor.

Heather and Shannon: I am going to lump them together for a sec and bear with me. They are both in their 50's . Shannon is 57. Heather early 50's. It aint easy being in your 50's in the OC. I appreciate them both. I floved seeing that house that's what I am here to see. Shannon is post menopausal, struggling emotionally and I feel for her. She drank too much and blabbed too much. It happens. I would gossip too. I think it's a little predatory to build a season on wrecking Shannon's life because of it. I think she is doing her best.

Gina & Emily: 2nd tier pawns to move the drama. They don't interest me much.

Amen to that! The new house is a massive temple to their egos, rather than a place to live. I thought the Dubrow's LAST house looked like a cold mausoleum/train station, but it was actually miles better than this new one. I laughed at the kaleidoscope TH montage of Heather blathering endlessly about her party plans. Like others upthread, I thought I liked her at one time too, this time around? NOPE.

Not sure, but I think I hate the two new housewives already. I keep mixing up lawsuit lady with plastic surgeon housewife for some reason. Do NOT like the plastic surgeon's shirtless house-husband at all. Noelle - no. We don't need to know about much less see your sex dungeon.

Shannon continues to look like a sad hot mess.

I concur with you on Emily and Gina…yawn fest. Heather is so pretentious and so bourgeoise. That “house” was ridiculous. How much do they really need? Their extravagant display of wealth was repulsive to me.

Heather is as curated as a museum - and that's what her house reminds me of. Gosh I miss Vicks right now. She had money but her home looked warm and cozy - like someone actually lived in it!

As Lu would say - money can't buy you taste, I guess. I'm sort of embarrassed for Heather, having spent millions on a home that looks about as inviting as something a 12-year-old built online while playing The Sims. Not an ounce of humanity to be found. If Heather had a battery box on her back with screws, I wouldn't be shocked. She's the least "real" thing on this show right now. I don't want Brown Wind or Tam-rat back, but we didn't have to go this route either.

I grow tired of everyone bowing at the altar of wealth. Heather isn't Queen Bee just because she's got a ton of cash. Find a backbone, ladies. I can see I'm going to be forced to defend Shannon again for a whole season, since she's the only one willing to oppose the Bougie Bot.

For some reason, it reminds me of a slightly gaudier Ramada Inn...maybe because of the size?

Isn't this the third HW show to have a cast member with a sex dungeon?  It is really not shocking anymore.

Heather's kids have their parents original faces, what do they intend to tell those kids about self acceptance, self love, body positivity since both parents have, thru surgery altered their looks.

Show of hands of how many seasons the new girls will film, my guess is one, one and done.

Absoloutely! Terry is just as ostentatious and as big a vacuous spendthrift as his wife. My Dad was a physician...he never wanted to go into private practice because of these kind of doctors...guys that make a ton of $$$ and then throw it in everyone's faces with mansions, expensive cars, etc.etc...instead he went into epidemeology and pubic health.

Terry is arrogant and just as much of a show off as his vapid wife.

Thanks so much for this. Each part of the house gets its own video and it is endlessly entertaining. Heather in all her glory! All her pompous glory!

There are quite a few videos averaging about 10 minutes apiece but they are jaw-droppingly fascinating and worth every minute. The amount of detail and creativity is astounding. For me, the least interesting was the kids’ rooms. The beauty of some of the work that has gone into this house is astonishing. The tiny bit that we got on this week’s housewife episode doesn’t begin to touch what there is to see in this house.

I am not here in order to find a role model in any of these housewives. Of course true moral depravity like Jen Shah, Erika Jayne or even Mary Crosby is beyond the pale.

Sure Heather is a vapid elitist who prizes her material possessions but Terry is not some pussywhipped sponge who is toiling to support his trophy wife. If anything Terry is more of a narcissist than Heather since he was in a television show prior to housewives and he is the one who pushed for Heather to become a cast member.

As far as I am concerned he is happy to have a wife who is willing to do the work of spending his money in the most ostentatious manner possible - because being in charge of building that kind of house takes a lot of effort.

There are so many large houses owned by rich people. In their defense, the Dubrows only own ONE house versus the number of rich people who own multiple homes all over.

As far as homes go, it's really not as sterile as many large homes built for the mega rich. Obviously it can only be maintained by a large staff but it provides a living to their staff.

I suspect that most of their living is done in the family rooms like the kitchen where they were seen eating dinner. The formal rooms downstairs are for formal entertaining on a lavish scale - which is why they have the actual second kitchen downstairs which is used to cater large events.

I don't want to live in a house that size but I sure wouldn't mind having some of the elements like the closet with glass doors; the warming drawer for towels and champagne at the push of a button. AND a live-in chef.

I have an aunt and uncle who are both doctors and they have a very bougie house in Nashville. I love them dearly but their house is a bit like Heathers. It is not quite so big, but if I asked her if her ice maker made special ice that has air puffed into it so it doesn't hurt her teeth, I would not be surprised if she said yes. They have special drawers and a ladder to get to the stuff to high up. I bet she is kicking herself that her drawers in the bathroom aren't heated.

I guess the point of all this is that Heather doesn't bother me as much as she does other people, probably because if she is anything like my aunt and uncle, who might look like pretentious twats, deep down they are good people that love their family and are actually really great people

They just can't help it that they fly private with the Vanderbilts!

And this sex dungeon is a bit sad. As far as I can tell it is a bed with black sheets stuffed into what reminds me of the old coal bin in the basement of the house I grew up in which my brother converted to a dark room. :-)

At least the witch from Beverly Hills had a large "dungeon" that looked as if it could host a small reunion from Plato's Retreat.

Braunwynde's "dungeon" was exposed as a complete fraud as I recall since they were probably not even having sex at that point. It was an apartment they rented for the show in order to have a *shocking* story line.

The editing that juxtaposed Shannon's current relatively modest home with her old home underscored her decline. Of course her current home is worth several million dollars but it is just a "nice" home versus the kind of showcase that she used to live in.

It is interesting that she had to downsize so drastically because when she was introduced we learned that her family were San Francisco socialites - weren't they owners of I Magnin or Bullocks Wilshire so I had assumed that even after a divorce she would have retained that money.

I guess the old "mansion" was just smoke and mirrors and mortgaged so when they divorced, there wasn't much equity to split up. Not that she is hurting for money by ordinary standards but she didn't get that much money considering she was a SAHM mother for most of the marriage. As I recall she got a relatively low settlement and a fair amount of child support.

Plastic surgeons - especially ones that are as *famous* as Terry do make an a huge amount of money because all of their procedures are elective so they can charge (and collect) whatever the market will pay. A face lift could be $50,000 from that kind of *famous* surgeon. And he also has significant income from Botched which has been running for awhile.

I remember when Heather was introduced. In truth, she sort of had it all. She had a incredibly rich successful husband who seemed crazy about her. He was in an educated profession as compared to the shady “businesses” that most howives’ spouses usually run. Also, even though she was a washed up actress her career was somewhat respectable.

The problem was that her and her husband had a “look at me and tell me how awesome I am” insecurity to them.

In comparison, when Shannon was introduced, she was so refreshingly open about herself. She was like “Hey, I might have a ton of money but that does not mean I am happy or my life is perfect.” She admitted to her marriage issues and her much needed (in her words) nose job.

Of course, many things have changed since then.

I think that both Heather and Terry are hustlers. I think Terry likes the spotlight more than Heather but I think they both enjoy it. Why does Terry have the Botched show? Fame and salary and cross promotional benefit to his medical practice.

And the money is tempting for a gig that not only isn't much work but also has tremendous cross promotional benefit. They all monetize their social media as much as possible. I would have to imagine she is getting at least $500,000 for what is essentially three months of part time work - much of which also includes very interesting experiences.

Much as there are some people who criticize Heather for being pretentious I think she does a pretty good job - at least so far - of controlling her image and they seem to have navigated the waters or reality television fame successfully - their marriage is intact and their children seem to be growing up well. At this point I doubt whether there are any secrets that will crawl out from under the rocks.

I would imagine that Heather got back in when Tamra, Vicki and Kelly Dodd were booted as they were truly trash as was their behavior. Emily while not as glamorous is someone who is a social and intellectual peer. I am NOT surprised that she seems to have bonded with Gina because Heather isn't a snob in the sense of choosing people based solely on wealth or social pedigree.

I am not sure how the new housewives are going to shake out. Clearly Noelle? is more in the category of housewives who should have kept out of the public spotlight. And I am waiting to find out whether this whole malpractice thing is a nothing burger because how it would seem odd that Terry wouldn't be aware of any kind of significant malpractice lawsuit.

I just don’t know why she returned to the show. It seems like a step down for people of their means.

Fame.  I mean it's not like she's been running a foundation; she's got an entire youtube channel about her house and the crap (for sale, btw) in it.  Also apparently she has a podcast although who doesn't have one these days?

I would never want a house like Heather's even if I won the lottery.  The  house just seems too cold and formal to me, a place that I would never feel comfortable.  That being said, I would love to have the bathroom towel heating drawer.  Yeah, that, I would have installed if I had the space and the money.

I agree I would never want a house that big. Someone  could be living in one of the rooms and I might never know lol. Speaking of that , that actually happened to Pam Anderson.  Her stalker lived in a spare bedroom for a few days. ..creepy.

Towel warmer I'll definitely take.

Whaaaaaa?

I just blacked out. Worst nightmare.

Remember that show where the valets in LA were copying people's house keys, then looking at their registration to get their home addresses to rob. But they'd hide in the ceiling crawl space for weeks and watch the family, learn the routine, then come down from the ceiling and murder everyone. No forced entry because they had keys so there were zero clues.

Haunted me for years. I changed how we deal with valets, etc, after that. I was so spooked.

That house though...

It's so out of proportion big that it swallowed all the furniture. All of the furniture looked to be weirdly sized because the space was so cavernous. Pretty details though. I think I liked the small touches more than the house itself.

Yeah I don't remember the details but it happened.  So scary.

It's a beautiful house but dosen't remind me of a home.  It's this bizarre mall like furniture store lol. High end mall yes, but still a mall , if we still had malls.
