4/5, but I can't celebrate as I'm in mourning over my beloved Bengals Super Bowl loss (so close *sob*).

Sorry.

I'm just happy Team Fluff won. 🐶 😊

a very simple dish of tomato and egg

This is the recipe I'd like to have if you are willing to share. I even have tomatoes and eggs right now, so the timing is excellent.

@PBnJay

Every family in China has their own recipe for this so really you can't go wrong with this.  This particular recipe has sesame oil and rice wine (just a small bit of both) but I've made it with one or the other or neither.  And I think this particular recipe has a little too much sugar.  I either omit or use just a tiny sprinkling.

But seriously google tomato and egg stir fry and you will get 1000 options all of them fast and simple and delicious.   This is a very much every day dish in china and as much as I thought it was crazy when I saw it on the list because it is so simple the very day after this dinner I was reading a book with a chinese protagonist and they were all, "I got home after a trying day and made my favorite pick me up tomato and egg.   And I was like.. fine...  And made myself some tomato and egg because seriously...   is good.
And the simplest recipe I've found for it... still amazing!   https://www.food.com/recipe/chinese-eggs-and-tomatoes-386529

week of Feb 18th (my grandma would have been 104 today...): 1/5

I was anticipating being at the table for 0 this week and this nice round option came up in my facebook memories yesterday. It's still relevant, if you recall a few clues from last night...

So have some cak.

3/5 no *
I missed Monday & Wednesday. I figured Wed was related to the French Revolution but couldn’t get to Reign of Terror. Hubby got it, but unfortunately we’re not playing Team Jeopardy. He guessed Charlie Brown for Thursday like one of the contestants did. Hemingway was a total guess for Tuesday, and interesting that this is the second FJ that refers to an author’s writing style (Gertrude Stein being the first a couple of weeks ago).
How about a berry “tri”fle at the T3?

1/5 with the *

re: Tomatoes and Eggs…when I was living in Colombia that’s what was made for me every morning. The chickens that laid the eggs had a diet of coconut and it was an unusual flavor.

I’ll make this sausage and pepper dish as all the ingredients look like the number one (unless you have a potty mind).

3/5 one * Not as good as last week, but better than my average, so I'm happy.

I've always been curious about turduken (spelling?). That fits with 3. Anyone tried it?

I'd been on a particularly lovely streak of 4s but alas 2/5 for me this week (Tuesday/Thursday).. But Tuesday was my birthday and I'm glad I celebrated with a correct final jeopardy.

Happy birthday!

3/5 but 2*.  I knew that Tuesday and Thursday were responses that would make me slap my forehead when I heard them but I could not get anywhere near Big Bird or Hemingway.

Duluth was an Instaget thanks to Great Lakes familiarity (I just ran around a mental map of Lake Superior).  In my mid to late teens, I went through a period of fascination with the French Revolution so the Reign of Terror zipped right to the front of my brain.  For Friday, I can only thank the Stratford Ontario Shakespeare Festival for having seen Merry Wives of Windsor enough that I got the answer very quickly.

I spent the weekend making a new batch of chunky applesauce which has three ingredients (if you count spices as just one) which I will offer up as a side dish or dessert.

Happy Belated Birthday @bybrandy!

WEEK 23 • Feb. 14, 2022 — TWO asterisk *
* 111. The Midwest. At about 90,000 it’s the most populous U.S. city on North America’s biggest lake. *
112. 20th Century Authors. Early in his career he worked for a newspaper whose style guide said, “use short sentences” & “use vigorous English.”
* 113. 18th Century History. The stated aim of this period was using violence to achieve political goals; its success aided in its demise in under a year. *

115. Plays. First published in 1602, its title characters are Margaret & Alice.

Forgot to post the questions but looks like everyone did okay w/o them!
