She was only a DCC for less than two seasons, and as far as I can recall wasn’t point, group leader, or on show group, so if K&J were picking a true showmanship mentor for the TCC from past DCC, I don’t think she would’ve even made the short list. She pointed out some things that also made me go HMMM. 1) Hannah was concerned that the bubble did not protect the girls but was in a hallway comforting her teammates with a. film crew in the hallway. So was she that concerned. 2). Hannah CHOSE to go to training camp. If she did not like the bubble when she got there, she could have dropped out or more reasonably sat out this year or tried for the one day audition. Several football players and basketball players with huge contracts sat home and did not get paid to protect there family. They can only do so much. 3). Training camp has always been a tough combo of mental pressure and physical endurance. With Hannah's school and finals and her understandably anxiety over covid perhaps she should have sat out. Then it was SCOTT who pointed out that Hannah had a bad training day for a vet had a bad audition tape for a vet, and was not the vet rock star of last year. He praised her solo and her first two years but did not question her cut. So IMO Melissa should not take the heat for this, Hannah did post the first instagram that she blamed her entire cut on her concerns over Covid. I don't think Scott is making this stuff up. Hannah did not look the same during the show and Scott said she did not look the same or act the same or sound the same on what was not shown. Then Hannah did post again on the day they showed the one clip on mental health and Hannah. And Melissa is right. No one would know Hannah's instagram without DCC. I never heard of her until she made the team. I also thought Scott made a valid comment on Kristin. She knows she is on the cusp/bottom and should move on to other things. More than likely, she would have been cut next year at Finals or the equivalent. Same with Brennan. Kelli would not have appreciated them taking the year off (likely because she would have thought that they weren't dedicated enough or that DCC wasn't the primary/main thing in their lives, the one thing they give up everything else to do). 10 Link to comment

I thought Melissa and Scott were open and honest in their information. Sounds like Lilly and Brennan were both surprises to them. I think we all by now have our own lens on this situation. Some of us will see your point of view and agree with Melissa. Others see the issue much differently. I could counter each of your points with a lengthy defense regarding the CDC standards at the time guidelines and the various reasons why some support Hannah on this issue... but that's honestly not worth it. Because we all have our opinions locked in at this point. My one sticking point that I will say - Hannah never said she was cut for speaking out for COVID and she's not constantly "bashing" any organization. She did point out thought provoking ethically minded questions. Some of us believe that DCC DID prioritize ratings and TV over the mental and physical health of the girls. And I don't fault her at all for standing up for strong mental health and wellness during this incredibly difficult time - for everyone - not just her. Its about public responsibility. It's hard to remember the context of last summer - but I do think it's relevant. I don't know why she was cut. She flat out said she wasn't sure either. Probably a variety of factors. No argument. But for Melissa to basedher information on social media - and make several false statements about how Hannah "continues to bash" - that's just flat out wrong and defamation of character. Melissa said she never bashed the Bachelor because she knew opportunity would come her way again. Well yes, that is the best route in her self interested motivation. But -- when someone believes they've been wronged -- or an organization has made dangerous decisions against OTHERS - why is it not okay to speak out? They give reasons to cut most strong dancers and provide a storyline that supports the decision. The majority of the girls on the team are weak, lack training and skill. They are not the strongest dancers despite what is said. MRS spills the toxic sludge that is fed from those above. They like the drama and in fact promote the drama within. You have VK and Lisa who are a double wrecking ball to anyone that opposes a thought/decision or action. The senior ladies know enough to avoid VK but not Lisa. There was no film crew in the hallway, she was videochatting from her own phone. 2) She was told she would be safe. It was clear she wasn't. There are pages and pages on the thread about the clear violations of COVID protocols. Pro ball players have multiyear contracts; they can sit out a year and come back. There was absolutely no way TPTB would have let Hannah walk out of training camp and come back, ever. 4) As has been said multiple times in this forum, vet videos were demanded on short notice. 5) Hannah was an NBA dancer before DCC. I think she probably should’ve left, but had she left, then the response from people like Melissa would be “if she didn’t think it was safe, she shouldn’t have come in the first place.” The issue they have is with the criticism and that Hannah would dare say negative things about the precious DCCs (which they think is the highlight of her life, apparently) on social media. Whether they like how she’s going about it, the issues she has raised are valid ones - was it safe and a real “bubble”? - we know it wasn’t, bc ppl were out to brunch and other places right before they entered, so no quarantine, which is essential for a real bubble. Do the DCCs care about mental health or do they just put out nice platitudes and pretend to? - Hannah coming, going, leaving, or being cut has no bearing on the answers to those questions. To be clear, I’m not even a fan of people airing out grievances on social media. If Hannah is still going on about it, then it is time to focus on other things. However, this notion that the DCCs can edit the hell out of what happened and present things in an inaccurate or slanted light, and the girls should all just be too grateful to say anything about it is laughable to me. I do no believe that Hannah is a "nobody" but made the distinction that DCC helped provide her many followers on instagram to she now has a little over 14k followers. Nobody is not a term I would use for any woman but I used a generalization that no one heard of her. The LuvaBulls do not have a national TV show and I am sure many of her followers are after she became a DCC and was seen on television. I had Magic tickets for over 15 years and although I enjoyed watching the dancers I would have never recognized one outside of the arena. The CDC guidelines recommend self quarantining for anyone who has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID. Two people can be a similar distance from a person with COVID and it could impact them differently based on their own body makeup and the amount of exposure they had. Many cases a person becomes infected with COVID from exposure to more than one person such as clerks in stores, doctors, nurses, etc. IMO Hannah did not practice what she preached and by going in the hallway. I believe Hannah has a lot going for her and believe a lot of her focus was on school. She was cut and we all can have different takes on it. Some times one of the worst things that happens to a person leads to other opportunities. Most professionals would tell you to not burn your bridges on the way out. Scott's input I found very enlightening. He was a judge and saw her audition tape and her media day and her show group performance. A seasoned vet that is on show group should be able to put together a great audition tape in a short time. Scott gets lauded for giving his opinion VK's first year when it was not favorable to her but then questioned when it's about someone's favorite. And my post was in response to it was all Melissa against Hannah. When I listened to the podcast, I was surprised to hear that it was comments from Scott. Kelli and Judy have tough decisions and at the end of the day it is their team. It is also each girl's choice to sign on to this process. This was the 15 season so no girl can be shocked if a vet gets cut, a vet gets called out, etc. It is an edited TV show but it's from film they shot. I fully agree, teacher here.... What also bothers me about the bios is the "rather childish" language and construction they use. Last year I let my students do a passport assignment, i.e. a biography, which looks exactly like the stuff on the DCC site. And that work was done by 12 to 14-year-olds who have English as a second language! For such a world class (here we go again!) organization, I would definitely expect something that exceeds that level. 1 9 Link to comment

"world class" 🙄 There were questions in the past about the online bios, which revealed that the bio questions are emailed to the girls, then the girls email their answers back. The social media person just cuts and pastes without editing. So any mistakes/typos/errors/childish sentence construction is all made by the girls themselves. I pretty much expected that - if that weren't the case, there wouldn't be such obvious differences in the ways the girls answered the questions (full sentences versus phrases, ending punctuation, conversational vs. professional tone, etc.). However, while the cheerleaders would ideally not be making any spelling or grammatical mistakes, it is up to the social media team to make sure that they are presenting content that has been proofread and approved. A world-class organization does not post "colleg" no matter if the girl wrote that or not. If it was the cheerleaders posting on their own websites or social media pages, then I would absolutely expect them to go over their content and check for mistakes, but this is on the social media team. 24 Link to comment
