Have we seen her fixing dinner for the two of them? Lunch for her to take to work? Laundry? What does she do besides work? Chris is working and doing stuff around the house. Maybe not giving him some is working for her, he keeps trying to please her to get some! Link to comment

We get it— working with your hands is satisfying. I give Mike props because he champions the trades and telling people that not going to college doesn't mean you are a failure. We are losing our tradespeople to retirement and need an influx of newcomers. I think a lot of people need to appreciate how work gets done and not put people down because they are plumbers or pipe fitters or work in retail. I say this as a professor and a person who's been surrounded by such elitists in academic environments for decades. It's not meant personally. 16 Link to comment

CrazyInAlabama January 14, 2021 Share January 14, 2021 (edited) Mike Rowe started off as an Opera singer, and was in a barbershop quartet. His first hosting job was on QVC, setting stuff in the middle of the night. His Mike Rowe Works foundation gives grants to people who are going to trade schools. He's also the narrator on Deadliest Catch (I hope I got that title right),. His mother wrote two books that are fantastic, about her mother, and about her husband. Peggy Rowe became a published author after 80 years old. In that last scene I had to laugh at the cat's tail sticking out from under the sofa.
