Let's see- very bad acting over land they will never build on (and if they did, Meri won't be there), Janelle wants everyone to share the giardia/pesticide and asphalt runoff from the drainage pit, and I can bet there have been many worse fights in their history (kitchens, random fast-tracked moves, Kody picking out Robyn's wedding dress, catfish, Robyn in general).

Why is this even a story line?  Each wife already has a deed to an individual property.  Robyn's name is on quite a few of the deeds even.

They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel this season. Suddenly, Kody is questioning polygamy just because his wives don't get along (never have). Robyn is hand-wringing, dry-crying and eye-booger wiping about living in one house with everyone (never wanted to in the first place). They have barely filmed the kids (because they would probably tell the truth about their parents). Hell, they even had a wife-beater on last week, and completely embraced him.

If this show continues, you can bet the story lines will get even more dumb. They live their lives on SM, so we know everythingk a year in advance and can instantly spot the bullshit. In fact, that seems to drive a lot of our discussion here, comparing RL and TLC-L.

is this the 'Scraps' that we have been waiting for? might be fun and i think it's refreshing if the under-wives, Janelle and Christine express what they want instead of silently taking Meri's leftovers.

Wow.  He ain't taking her crap no more.  Can't blame him.  When he said Meri has done that from day one I believe it.  I think she took advantage of being 1st wife for years and they all just caved into her most of the time because it would shut her up.  

 

Then again this could all be for the show.  The next big thing to keep the show going, is taking on another wife.  Yes it's going to have to happen if they want to keep the money coming in.

God almighty.  I bought my first home a year ago against considerable odds and a hell of a lot less money than they have and did not spend anywhere near this much time haranguing over it.  At this point, this is just boring television.  If I were any one of these women, I would have told the Kodester to kiss my ass and bailed out of this unrelenting clusterfuck long ago.

 She knows she has the upper hand with Cody. He will always favor her until he gets another new one. She's the youngest and the thinnest.  If I were Mary, I would leave. Kody said that Robyn was the only wife who apologized to him. I think I missed something, because I don’t know what Christine and Janelle said or did that would warrant an apology.

Can't they just make the clearing for the home a little larger to allow for more sunlight?  Then situate the house so that the front or back faces where the sun shines longest, and put large windows there.  Then she can enjoy having the trees, but not feel like she's in a cave.  Those trees are large and I bet they could break even on the cost of cutting them by selling the lumber, if not even make a small profit. 

Also, not that they would even think this rationally, but it's important to have a defensible space around a home in case of wildfires anyway.  I'm not sure what the recommendations are, but I would think the taller the trees, the farther they should be from the house. 

So basically cut some of the trees in strategic locations to make the home brighter and safer.  Boom, problem solved.  But it doesn't seem like they really want the problem solved.  Turmoil has become part of their identity.

She is never happy.  Remember how the hat that Mitch's Mom wasn't right either, that was embarrassing. So add Unappreciative.   Remember when she had the hissy fit when Robyn didn't want her to drag Sol to see Mariah in Utah,  She admitted it that Sol and Mariah had a special bond, so she was using the poor kid to get in good with her daughter. I rarely watch this shit fest an6moer but I watched tonight and all I can say is motherfucking WORD to the above. But also, WHY is Meri even still there? She clearly loathes them all. Just fucking leave and go live in your B&B and move on already.

That first fight scene lasted an entire 30 minutes.

My cat watched the whole show, including the commercials, perched on the end of the bed with her ears pricked forward. She does that with Planet Earth or Dr Jeff or The Zoo. So I guess she thought the energy on sister wives tonight was coming from animals - and she wasn't wrong, was she?

Meri can't live in the B&B. A part of the reconfigured loan that allowed the purchase without help from the family was that it was commercial property and not a residence for her. She cannot live there.

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand what Meri did wrong?  He told her where she was going and why (trees) and she said I don’t know b/c of the light. She didn’t say yes or no. So Kody tells Robin she said no and that Robin can have it, which isn’t what Meri said at all. They really should’ve asked the cameraman for the footage. If Kody needed a firm decision, then he should’ve told Meri that. 

Kody & Robin really annoyed me this episode. Surprisingly Meri didn’t. Janelle and Christine are still cool.

Also the time when she was deciding whether or not to try IVF - she kept saying “I’m not sure yet....I need more time to think about it...”. And this went on for months, if not years.  Finally Kody said forget it, and I don’t blame him.  

She’s so indecisive, but as others have pointed out, it’s more than that - it’s also about weilding power and influence and manipulating people.  I really can’t stand her.

I feel like this season, in particular the two most recent episodes, are leading to Meri’s official exit from the family. Perhaps that decision was already made and TLC is laying the groundwork for the Meri-Kody “spiritual divorce.”
