The constant cheesing for the camera as she tries to move cat like reminds me of the strippers you see on TV!

I understand dcc need to constantly smile, but there is a time and place. When you do lyrical you’re supposed to portray different emotions and she always has a frozen smile on. That’s seriously jarring.

This was the clip I was referring to.  Thighs/bottom look thick.  She never looks "ethereal" when she leaps. I don't know if it's the extra weight or she's just clunky.  If Kelli wants to say she's world class and force feed us - I expect a little more.

It’s because she’s clunky. She has a bigger build, much like Caila who always seemed bigger even though at first she was dcc-thin. Caila wasn’t as much of a heavy dancer until she gained weight, but VK always seemed equally clunky -I’ve seen old clips of her as a teenager and it was the same.

Anyone can work on their flexibility and some people are just naturally more flexible. She may be able to get her leg up, but she can’t maintain posture so it’s not just bad technique, she doesn’t have the muscles for it. It’s not that simple to learn to kick high with good technique and the worst part is that doing these poor kicks for the next 5 years (at the very least!) will damage her body permanently.

Does any one know when TC was supposed to begin this month?  I know covid cases are rising in TX, but I also recall TCC were supposed to be sent choreo if they could not do it in person?  I wonder how that is going lol

At one time, vets were posting pics on their IG stories with other vets tagging it training camp, so I wondered if they were filming the videos.

I do not have a dance background (other than being on this forum for so long) and like many of you, I notice that she dances heavy and cannot hold her positions... What baffles me, is that her Instagram page is FULL of over the top praise. "OMG!!!..." Do I see her dance differently because I've learned to look through the lens of a dancer (by picking things apart and analyzing..)? Does the general public just not see what we see? So many people are acting like she's the greatest dancer ever and I cannot see it. She's fine. But not great.

I feel like the forum always puts every dance move under a magnifying glass to search for mistakes, especially with Victoria. I think her followers just enjoy her watching and like her (I mean why else would you follow someone lol). I don't think they are acting like she is the best dancef ever at all either

Speculation on my part (I’m in marketing and can’t help myself) but there always seems to be a dancer or two on show group that doesn’t seem to make much sense skills or talent wise. Tasha, for example, who I truly like as both a human and beauty factor, and much needed maturity, but she wasn’t one of the strongest dancers. She IS very popular on social media, though, and I can see Kelli sprinkling in her higher profile girls even if they’re weaker dancers. (Still mad about Jaylyn obvs.)

VK is VERY well liked on the Facebook groups, and I can see that having added appeal when booking appearances. VK is a cheap first year with almost twice the Instagram followers as Savannah and more than twice of Heather. Same as Tasha, a few less than Tasha, etc. And Facebook marketing would probably show similar engagement data.

Dancewise....Cici, Daphne, Victoria and Lexi...none of them are show group worthy in my opinion.  I would have taken Erin for sure over any of those 4 and Jalyn should have never lost her spot.   That being said, I don't dislike any of them...but they don't super impress me.

Hello everyone, longtime lurker (If you count knowing about this forum for almost a year) first time poster lol. 22 year old guy from the Netherlands. The past weeks I read through all the pages of the 2018 and 2019 season. (yes all 700 pages) I am looking forward to share my opinions and etc.

- The 2019 season will finally be on TV in a few weeks here so I am excited to finally watch it fully.

- First season I saw was the 2012 season and I fell in love with Danielle hihi.

Some of my favourite cheereaders are Danielle, Jordan, Emma, Lacey, Rachel W, Melissa W, Holly Hubbard, Whitney Isleib, KaShara, Alexis, Kinzie (a very underrated DCC) and many more that I forgot to add.

I will apologize in advance if my posts aren't perfectly English as it is not my native language 😀

Welcome aboard the Crazy Train!! Buckle up for the ride 🙂  Happy to have you here!!

Sorry, but you don't need to a magnifying glass to see that Victoria isn't a strong dancer.

I saw Master and wondered if there was a degree I didn't know about or if she was just dumb since law school usually means JD. And now I want to know what you'd do with an MLS degree

I have a friend with a MLS and she has been a librarian and then taught and hated it, and now is back to being a librarian.  I guess we shall see!

She might have a Master's in Library Science -- this is a Master's in Legal Studies.

I’m curious as to what she plans to do with this degree that she couldn’t do otherwise. Obviously, she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, and it’s certainly possible that her job or someone recommended it. Also, given the current economic climate, it probably doesn’t hurt to go to school if you can as many companies are on hiring freezes, but I’m curious as to whether people have found success with this type of degree.

Exactly... Sometimes we do overanalyze stuff in the sense that some girls are good enough for DCC and their mistakes don’t matter, but people with dance background/experience will notice. Not every dcc fan would care for these. With VK it’s really different and we’re not even nitpicking. Even the fact that she is compared to caila, who was cut because her dancing was heavy, says everything.

Someone must have said something to Victoria cause she got rid of the DCC Year 2 title in her IG highlights.  Now it just says DCC 2020.

Wait, I recall seeing that upthread but she really had Year 2 highlights on IG? I mean obvs she knows Training Camp is just a formality for her but to be so blatant about it. THIS is exactly why so many of us say she did not earn her spot nor will she ever be a legitimate DCC. She is as bad as Kelli with making people not like her...

I guess I am one of the few that isn't in the Anti Victoria club. I can't have such a dislike to someone that I don't even know personally. Yes she was a mess in TC 2018 but I think she did a good enough job in 2019 to add her to the squad and defintetly didn't deserved to be called a elephant or Miss Piggy.

That said, I rather focus on the people that I enjoy instead of constentally talking negative about someone even when the situation isn't about her. I don't know if I am allowed to say that but that is just how I feel lol.

There a few careers that accept an MLS as advanced degree, such as court administration and legal compliance officers.  To my knowledge a MLS is not required for those jobs but can be helpful.  You don't need it for a JD.

It was trendy to market MLS degrees to people who wanted to apply for a JD and had poor undergraduate grades.  (Normally I would say just pay for a good LSAT prep, but with LSAT possibly not being administered the next year grades may be more important.)

It may also qualify for part of a paralegal training certificate in some states. (A paralegal does limited legal work supervised by an attorney).

(sorry to go off topic, rarely is there a question pertaining to my career field).

Based on her instagram takeover, I think wearing wigs is Kat's personal choice as she said it makes her life easier. I totally agree that her natural hair looks better and she seems to be coming around to the idea (her last couple instagram posts have no wig). I hope if she wants to go without it Kelli will allow her but who knows.

Fair point about Kat's personal choices regarding her wigs. Also, I would be very surprised if Kelli objected to Kat's natural hair.

Thanks. That’s helpful. I’m an attorney but I’m not familiar with that degree at all lol. It certainly seems like it could potentially help with HR or compliance work though.

I think Camp would still likely happen, tho with masks and/or social distance measures in place. It’s not an essential job, but it’s a job, and most states have encouraged regular life to resume. Texas might be purple one of these days, but Abbott and Patrick aren’t exactly pro-science. Never have been.

If the cowboys social media team has been scrubbing fan opinion for optics, which they should be, and fan opinion is that it’s a bad look for the team/cheerleaders/etc to pause for health reasons, I’m sure they will. But if they decide their fan base doesn’t care, they’ll move forward with a slight nod to those who might.

I LOVE Kat's natural curls! I think she's so much more gorgeous natural but if she chooses to wear wigs  bc it's easier for her I won't fault her for that. Curly hair (and mine is merely wavy) can be a pain to care for. I wonder if she went to a salon that could actually work with her real hair. I have a friend who works for a hair salon and she said they were just discussing how rare it is to learn how to cut anything other than caucasian hair in beauty school.

I wasn’t a fan the first year and in my opinion she wasn’t ready. Let’s face it, there aren’t many 18/19 year olds who have there act together after high school.  In her second attempt she came back confident, stronger, in great shape  and more mature and that made me switch gears. She is a super sweet  young lady from the few conversations I’ve had with her on IG. She did something really special for my granddaughter and that showed me how dedicated she is to her fans.  I enjoy watching her different style of dance and look forward to see what she brings to the table this season. ( if there is a season). Team Victoria for me!

I'm the same way - whatever is easier for the girls, whatever protects their natural hair - they are the ones who have to spend the time on it.

Kat is quite brave to go somewhere other than Tangerine, which Kelli pretty much insists they go to (even though there are MUCH better salons in Dallas).  I wish the DCC would allow women of color to show their natural hair and not cover up with wigs.

She is beautiful and I love her natural hair. I also would like to see her in her natural element on the field.

DUTCHDCCFAN,

Your first post was on Friday, and in that post you said, “The 2019 season will finally be on TV in a few weeks here so I am excited to finally watch it fully.” So I’m confused what you based your above statement (made three days later) on that VK did a “good enough job in 2019”?

One of my TX friends just said he thinks TX is going to announce another state lockdown very soon wonder where that leaves training camp...

I live in Texas but we’re currently vacationing in Florida and we got that same word today about another lockdown. We may have to stay here! The beaches are uncrowded and peaceful!
