The crew including Captain Lee are shocked to wake up and hear the shocking news that Kate quit. In Kate’s absence, Simone and Courtney struggle to maintain order in the interior. Ashton doesn’t remember his actions from the night before and has to confess to Lee that he is the reason Kate is gone. Meanwhile, Tanner is surprised to learn that he and Kate kissed. Kevin is sent spiraling when a charter guest, Justine, who is also a professional Chef, threatens to keep a close eye on him. Charter guest drama ensues when the primary’s cousin, Jamie, refuses to share her guest cabin.

I think the other woman (Lauren?) is sleeping on the sofa. Jamie is the cousin of the primary and it is her birthday, so she gets the room. Jamie seems just awful. Her voice and facial expressions (and of course all that she says) are angering me. LOL

Why didn’t the 2 smaller women with the twin beds take the double.  The personal chef seems like a bitch.

Just because Rylee knows something about fishing in Alaska doesn’t mean she would know the appropriate fishing spot in these waters.  I think the captain or Aston should know where they can or can’t cast a line.

I’m also team Rhylee on this fishing thing. She’s a deckhand and a fishing boat captain in ALASKA. Not Thailand. It’s not her job to chose the location. As for her not having the right tools, was she supposed to pull them out of her Ass(hton)? She was given basically no notice. Don’t even get me started on Brian’s comment about Kate being a praying pantos. Ugh.

And the guests? Are terrible. Except Lauren who seems like a doll. What a nightmare charter.

I'm calling production manipulation on the room/bed situation.  Could it possibly be that when this charter group were accepted, they were told everyone would have their own beds?  I can understand Lauren not wanting to share a bed, especially if they may have been told otherwise.  But, she is being a total bitch about that, and everything else, it seems, so maybe she said "okay" to get a free trip and then, changed her mind, because she didn't speak up first about accommodations.  (The other two skinny girls claimed the room with the two twin bed pretty quickly).  

This is reminding me of a RH vacation trip, where the women are always fighting over the rooms.

Wow and kudos to Captain Lee for giving up his quarters for Jamie.

Oh my gosh, so much to unpack tonight. 

 

First - Kate leaving. Okay, I love Kate. And I think Ashton was completely out of line, both with the unsolicited kissing and the aggression in response to... Nothing. So I get Kate wanting to leave and just get out of that situation. But I DO think she should have left a note explaining things to Captain. And I don't think it was fair to wait until almost a whole day of work had been done to come back. Her stews had to pick up that slack; and they hadn't done anything.

 

I, honestly, think Lee might need to just ban night's out. 

 

Bedroom gate - the cousin was so selfish. But also, did the primaries not know how many rooms/beds they were getting on this boat? Just me, but when I've done a group vacation, we've always determined those things ahead of time. At any rate, it was very gracious of Lee to give up his bed. 

 

Rhylee and Ashton fishing gate - I'm putting this mostly on Ashton. Yes, Rhylee is a fisherman by trade. So I'd expect her to know the basic mechanics of... Fishing. I don't expect her to know the laws and rules of where to fish, any more than I'd expect the freaking boson to know! I almost feel like Ashton knew ahead of time and was setting Rhylee up. It was weird how he just decided to call about their location. 

 

Kevin - the cheese slip-up was HUGE. you gotta read those preference sheets. And I thought it was tacky of him to announce that it was his first time cooking several of those dishes. I really didn't like the guest-chef coming in there and warning him to go more upscale. Unless they edited it out, I didn't hear the guests complain about anything being too low brow. The salt, yes. But she just sounded so snarky and condescending when she went in there. That being said, Kevin could have handled it a lot more graciously. These are guests. You just play it off and tell them what they want to hear.

Wow Jamie.  What a princess.  You kick another guest out of the room with no discussion and that guest has to sleep on a couch and has no bathroom.  I'm glad Capt. Lee found out and set her up in his stateroom.  And boo hoo Jamie that you didn't get candles or a cake.  When you're the primary then you can complain.

Team Ryhlee.  She was showing them proper fishing technique.  She doesn't have the resources to know where one can fish or not.  That's on you Bosun man.  And....none of these brus knew what was said the night out but somehow Kate caused the whole thing.  What a bunch of Captain Assholes.

Kevin - you suck as a chef.  Look at the preference sheet.  And I can get what you were serving at a local chain restaurant.  Glad the other chef called him out.

They definitely ponied up for a hotel and stylist, she looked fantastic. Good for her, they're lucky she came back at all.

My opinion is that Not everything that goes wrong is production manufactured.  I’ve been listening to numerous Podcasts that feature reality executive producers, etc.  They seem to be pretty hands odd and admit that most of the bizarre things that happen they did not see coming.

As far as the room situation it makes sense that the guests charter the boat and decide among themselves the sleeping arrangements. 
I personally don’t think I’d want to share a bed with someone I don’t know well.

Now convenient that Ashton doesn’t remember. When he said he had anger problems when he was a kid after his parents got divorced, I’m thinking, you still do and just being superficial but I’ve never thought he was all that. Short, stocky and cocky don’t do it for me. I would literally feel unsafe being alone with him. 
 

Where did Captain Lee sleep? I would totally throw that heifer overboard. What a wet noodle. I’m kind of tired of Lee sitting there twirling his radio and blustering about how they all need to shape up. It’s a little late now with two more charters. Hopefully, Kate Will go to bat for Rhylee against Ashton. 
 

Kevin’s dishes are uninspired and lazy.  Having pizza and matzoh ball soup in Thailand just seems like a poor choice even if you like that stuff especially with a chef as a guest but it Looks like he’ll go toe to toe with the private chef. He can’t handle any constructive criticism. Everyone is just phoning it in at this point.

The fact that Tanner thinks he has a chance with Kate tells me everything I need to know about him.

I though when the pizzas were brought out to the guests one of the guests said they were glad that someone requested them.
