I know B.B. plays fast and loose with rules but after Jackson’s stuff earlier that would be so wrong plus I don’t think Cliff and Nicole would appreciate it. Am I the only one that didn’t know you can’t ‘throw’ competitions? It’s one of those technicality rules, like the one which states the HoH can’t tell Block-targeted HGs they’re going OTB prior to the Nomination Ceremony. Production will let a HG run right up to the edge of it - and maybe even a little beyond, for a Production favorite - but sooner or later some dumbass HG will get SO blatant in their violation that it exceeds anybody’s ability to ignore. Why, are they throwing a penalty vote against Holly? Because with Jackson’s vote presumably against Cliff, that would probably lead to a Nicole tiebreaker - and if that ISN’T the case, y’all don’t need to tease me like that.... 1 Link to comment

I doubt they throw one at Holly but between Jackson telling her to jump and Holly jumping is pretty blatant example of throwing a competition. Just like when what’s his name sat down while Frankie went on to win veto I think. Details aren’t my friends this morning. Lol maybe this was the reason Jackson and Holly were reading the rule book. Nicole breaking a tie is not going to happen. Of course that would increase ratings 4 Link to comment

And I also really don't want you to get AFP because then all that performing for the cameras will have paid off, at least in his mind. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all a lie. Cliff made good money at his job. There is now way he didn’t have savings to cover his expenses while he was gone. It’s just a way to gain sympathy with the other houseguests and viewers. His fireside chats and conversations with his wife were all orchestrated so he could win AFP. Cliff knew he was never going win, so his strategy was to win AFP and be the player the final HOH drags to the end. He almost had it. Unfortunately, for him, he’s a misogynist and didn’t count Holly as a threat because she’s a woman. He was so fixated on being Jackson’s bro that forgot that insignificant Holly was in the way. I think Cliff is no more genuine that Jackson. While Nichole was laying on the hammock, she missed a huge opportunity to put Jackson in his place while he was chastising her. All she had to say to Jackson is that one of us had to go this week. Then say, “Are you telling me that if Cliff and I stayed totally loyal to you and Holly that you would have voted Holly out and kept Cliff?” I would love to see Jackson answer that one in front of Holly. I believe that Jackson was always going to take Nichole over Cliff, which is why he orchestrated Nichole to win this HOH. Cliff screwed himself by not voting Holly out. If Cliff wasn’t so dense, he’d ask himself why Jackson was so desperate to throw Tommy under the bus to save Holly? Especially if he was going to boot her next week? Wouldn’t it be better for Jackson’s jury management to have Nichole and Cliff to vote her out? There is no way Jackson would take Tommy to the final three. There was 100% chance Tommy would take Cliff over Jackson. If Cliff wanted to be dragged to the final three, then getting rid of Holly was his only move. Everyone knows that final 2 deals a meaningless. Cliff was too busy making a final two deal that he forgot to figure out how he was going to get to the final three. The odds were in his favor if Tommy stayed. I still think Jackson and Holly are going to get on each other nerves and have a falling out. Hopefully, Nichole can use that to her advantage. 2 17 Link to comment

tinkerbell September 18, 2019 Share September 18, 2019 As someone a few years older than Cliff - it is not unusual for people to have more than one 401K, as a result of having worked at different companies. Between myself and my husband, we have 3 401Ks and one 403B. Of course, some are pretty small. I have known people who cash in a 401K to do a home remodel, or take a trip. Cliff said he cashed in a 401K - that might not mean he cashed in ALL of his retirement money. He's trying to gain some pity, he has a FAMILY, they need money! I wouldn't take "cashing in a 401K" too seriously. don't go on a reality TV competition if you can't afford to lose. 1 11 Link to comment

Beast Mode Cowboy literally sat on the ground like a kindergartener to throw the fan favourite Battle of the Block competition to ensure that Frankie would go on the block and go home. It took longer than normal to build/start the comp, the HGs were even talking about hearing the building sounds stop before the usual comp time and then start up again and lo and behold when they walked out there, the comp could be completed by one person more easily than by two. Caleb even offered to stand up and compete after Frankie had started solo and if I remember correctly, Big Brother told him that no, he had already made his decision. Frankie, of course, ended up winning. It was the same pulley style comp that Zingbot hosted this year that Jackson won. So yeah, if Caleb didn't get a penalty nom for that, Holly definitely isn't going to get one for this. 1 1 1 Link to comment

He also lives in Houston where the cost of living is pretty average. He put in hardwood floors at his house before the show, so this means he is a homeowner. Even proof that he has survived all the Houston hurricanes.....especially, Harvey. There are many ways to get cash throughout the summer......and, I for one second do not believe it involved a 401K plan. He can do a second mortgage loan, credit cards or a small loan. $15,000 should do it for 3 months......averaging $5,000 monthly expenses. Which is about what a person making $80,000+ should bring home. There is not a way to say how much he made as a petroleum engineer.....but, is above average salary for Houston area. Can usually go into the $200,000’s. The minute BB gives him his check......which supposedly happens after the show end.....he would have enough to cover .....these ‘debts.’ He should be ashamed of himself acting like this. Sorry, 54 is not old! You cannot even get social security until 65. Safe to say....unless, you have made provisions to retire early......Cliff still has A LOT of career left! 54 year old Cliff should be fine with the people in the BB house. He has the same age kids. He also had the college experience at Texas A & M. Personally, I didn’t see him being socially awkward in the house. He knew who to butter up......he had the maturity (unlike Bella and Kat) to stay out of the drama. And waited until the Alliance (6 & 8 broke up and pounced on the big guy to help him get to the end. Jackson. He knew Jackson was a package deal with Holly. Didn’t Cliff also say he was a package deal with Nicole....every week? I heard him say this in most of his chats with HOH ......which most just happened to be with Jolly. All his gameplay he wanted to do came into fruition. Cliff the Charlatan.........lover of being away from his family living his OWN life! This is why he took all those travel petroleum engineer jobs. This is why he went on BB! He loves to be out on his own chipping away at his bucket list.......while married with kids. Cliff just trying to come home a hero to his Sharon! I think they all did good. They managed to pull it together and make F4. Not always pretty.....but, that is BB house stress for you. Cliff is the one that tried to throw a wrench in the F4. He is the one that tried to dump Nicole for Jackson. He is the one manipulating a young impressionable girl. Looking very BAD on Tv...may I add. This is Jackson only saving grace and why I am ok if they win. He worked his butt off. And, he is not betraying Holly. They have their ups and down. And, his personality is very strong for a softer soul like Holly........but, he dragged her there. And, Holly kept Jackson sane. Holly and Jackson remind me of .......Jessica and Cody. They are going to do what they could not! It is exciting to see. But, deep down.......money wise. I feel Nicole and Holly could really benefit from the winnings.........and, could change their life to really come out ahead in life. Cliff should stop being a sore loser......and, realize he did good. He managed to survive the threats of Alliance of 6 & 8. Which at times.....seemed impossible. He really lost me when he said for Sharon to use POINTS for hotel and airfare to come to the Finale. WTF????? That's one of my favorite subs over there. Link to comment

My dental isn't free (and I really wish it was) but over the years, here in Canada, I've had 4 babies, 5 surgeries, a month of radiation treatments and endless appointments FOR FREE! And guess what? That didn't stop us from griping endlessly about how expensive hospital parking is. Our diamond shoes are too tight! No, but I'm so grateful I'm not facing COBRA bills, whatever they are, like Cliff's family, because we couldn't afford them. I'm sad for what a burden the fear of medical problems must be for Americans, especially single parents and the working poor. Sorry, off topic! I was just reading on Hamsterwatch that last night Nicole and Jackson played chess, and Holly and Cliff... sat and watched them play chess. Holy cow, they must be bored. Or not? I guess humans survived thousands of years without electricity and radios and internet forums. Maybe it's a good thing? Can you imagine how completely overwhelmed the final 3 will feel, going from that to suddenly being thrown into the outside world, completely deluged with press and people, a high percentage of whom hate you? (Well, not Nicole. A low percentage of people hate her.) I hope they get follow-up counselling. As noted, I wish we could get a "Where are they now" type show to follow up houseguests we've obsessed over for months. It would help with our withdrawal. We definitely needed it for BB20 in fact as of yesterday Fessy and Rockstar (on Twitter) we’re claiming if jury questions were done differently or if questions were answered differently they may have voted a different way. Scottie has yet to chime in. 1 1 Link to comment

But for crowns or root canals, I believe I have to pay 20%. I also had to pay for some of my son's orthodontics. I'm in BC. And yes, hospital parking is atrocious!!! Last January I was in the hospital for two days (didn't have to pay a dime) but parking cost us $50 between both days. It used to cost a lot to rent a tv to watch last time I was in the hospital over night. At least hospital WiFi is free nowadays. But I'm not in the US and Cliff is. Hopefully his family isn't paying the cost. Only 1 contestant wins. And even if you win AFV, you still have to pay taxes, right? So from $25K to $18K? If he's an engineer, he would probably make more than that in 3 months if he'd been working. Edited September 18, 2019 by DEL901 2 Link to comment

Is that in lieu of washing it? I'm perplexed because I wasn't raised by wolves. He took it into the toilet w/him. I don’t know what he did in there but he did flush. He came out, put the cucumber in his mouth, and washed his hands, then walked away eating the cucumber. He didn’t wash the cucumber at all! I have no clue about the deodorant. The hubs doesn’t do it. iMonrey September 18, 2019 Share September 18, 2019 Quote They should allow more jury questions, as well as authentic questioning. I don't want to see Cliff questioning Jackson on his misogyny, I want to see a woman on the jury ask these questions. They've removed all drama from the situation, and the jury has to simply sit silently back and receive the answer. A little back and forth would be such an improvement. The show made a huge mistake when it stopped allowing the full jury interrogation. They got the chance to grill the final 2 about every grievance they had against them. You'd think the show would be all over that, just for the sheer spectacle. But unfortunately it was a casualty of their decision to have the final three in the season finale instead of the final two. Now each jury member gets to read a scripted, innocuous question like "what was your biggest game move" and "what was your biggest regret?" I mean they could probably still have a full, old-school jury interrogation with the final three, but I think the editors have just gotten so damn lazy about the format they don't want to bother fitting it in anywhere. So instead we get the usual filler of comps with constant cuts to DR blathering about said comp. 11 Link to comment

So instead we get the usual filler of comps with constant cuts to DR blathering about said comp. Yeah. Plus, do you know how much more exciting things would be in the final week, if jury got to question the F2 a week before the finale and actually have time to decide? Imagine: this Thursday, we could have had two evictions (surprise! It's a Double Eviction! Or surprise! We had a Fast Forward and the final HOH was different or taken place earlier! Or surprise! Both Holly and Cliff are evicted from the Big Brother House!). Yes, we'd still have the feeds cut as the F2 were questioned by the jury, but we'd have some pretty lit feeds, depending on who said what in their F2 Q&A/speeches. Imagine Jackson campaigning to win against Holly and how Holly would take that. And then imagine the Jury Roundtable, which would take place AFTER the Q&As. Imagine how intense the decision would be with all the cards laid out. And then imagine seeing all of it on finale night and not wasting time on stupid scripted stuff, where we could see more of the pre-jury, or see some actual drama unfold. My ideal final week would go like this: Thursday - Cliff gets evicted and the F3 jump straight into parts 1 and 2 HOH over Thursday night/Friday afternoon (obviously they'd need to pre-build the entire final HOH stuff, which means smaller sets). Part 3 HOH would take place on Saturday, where we'd know who won and who gets eliminated Saturday night. That way, Sunday's episode would be parts 1 & 2. Then, Sunday afternoon (at least two hours) would be the jury Q&As, and Sunday night would be the Jury Roundtable, where they'd discuss with Will about the options. And then they completely eliminate the clip show, as they could show part 3 and the Jury Q&A on the Monday/Tuesday episode, followed by Wednesday's finale, where they'd show pretty much just the Jury Roundtable, final speeches from the F2, and then getting a chance to talk to the pre-jurors and jurors in general. And if they REALLY want to show some Never Before Seen clips for casuals, they can throw in a couple during the finale IF THEY HAVE TIME. It would also help with F3/F2 not feeling so dead in the house because there's nothing to do for days on end. Plus, it would drive F2 mad to be in the house alone with each other for four days, especially after Q&As, and watching them worry and panic and get paranoid about which one of them will win the game. 10 Link to comment
DannyRugg September 18, 2019 Share September 18, 2019 That intensive jury questioning in Season 2 (in addition to the "disappointed in you" banner flown over the house by her husband) helped lead to Nicole's utter meltdown. She was begging for Valium from BB and holed up in her room (very Audrey-like) while Dr. Will tried to placate her telling her how horrible he was compared to her blah blah blah. The jury she had tried to butter up was onto her schemes and wasn't buying the "I was so sorry I had to vote you out" nonsense while she carefully protected Will, whom she figured she would demolish in the jury vote. I can recall sanctimonious Krista (the one who drunkenly giggled when psychotic Justin held a knife to her throat) asking Nicole if she believed in God. Good times! 1 4 Link to comment

It's a lot higher than normal insurance because it is designed to match whatever insurance your company was giving you before you were let go, which is typically a lot better than normal insurance (which is why people often decide to bite the bullet and just get the COBRA while looking for a new job). It lasts for 18 months. The idea, of course, is to get a new job quickly so that you don't have to rely on the expensive COBRA insurance anymore. It's essentially a "bridge" insurance. That is insanely expensive. Seems like paying out of pocket would be cheaper, if no serious medical issues. Holy cow. Go Nicole! Link to comment
mooses September 18, 2019 Share September 18, 2019 Count me in as someone who's confused about Cliff's "Woe is me, give me some money" attitude. I mean, going 3 months without pay is hard no matter your lifestyle or salary, but I'd think he'd have it easier than many since I doubt he was living paycheck to paycheck with the career he was in. I'm kind of glad his pandering is getting so grating - he's gotten on my nerves every night he plodded around the House with that stuffed owl. This "he deserves to be there" talk of Cliff/Nicole is getting pretty tiring. Like, I get it, Nicole is the most forgiving and empathetic person (it's in her nature!) and the other HGs just don't have her level of inner conscience and morals - I mean, she's told us enough times. But, no, he doesn't "deserve" to be there anymore than Holly. I know part of it is Nicole trying to campaign for Cliff, but she also seems to actually believe it based on her talks when she's alone. The only reason the four of them "deserve" to be there now is because they made it there, not because they're better or more righteous people like they seem to be telling themselves and each other. Also, so glad we won't be hearing, SKD143 on finale night. It doesn't take any longer to just say, "I love you!" Why insist on speaking in AIM code? 14 Link to comment

The very first time I heard him say it, I didn't hear the K in the middle and I was very confused as to why Cliff was giving a shoutout to a school district when he wasn't a teacher. "Shoutout to School District 143, I only got shoved in two lockers there. Meatloaf Mondays for life!" 11 1 Link to comment
Ellee September 18, 2019 Share September 18, 2019 For some reason, I thought the jury did get to speak with the finalists and we just didn't get to see it. We only got the roundtable. It's been said a few times ...maybe it's time to have someone else making decisions on this show. 5 Link to comment

Not sure where he is getting his insurance from but when I switched employers a while back, I got a cobra notice from my previous employer and the quote was for $587/Mo. and I had the best insurance the hospital group had to offer. 1 Link to comment
