I have never been, and will never be a Tracy Morgan fan; I just don't find him, or his humor, funny.  I'm very happy he survived his accident and is still successfully working, and I wish him well.  But.  If he wanted to pay a "get well" visit to Whoopi, I wish he'd done it on his own time.  Get in your limo and go visit her at home to tell her how much you looooove her and how you can't imagine life without her.  But psst, Tracy?  She's going to die.  We all are.  So plug your show and STFU with all the Whoopi worship.  And I like Whoopi!

While I did like the Whoopi smackdown, for me it would have made more of an impact if she had looked Meghan in the eye and said to her personally, since she was the one that acted so bitchy.

You would think ABC would have learned from their mistakes. When Joy left before the show sucked and ratings went down.  If they choose to support Meghan at the expense of Joy then they deserve to reap what they sow.  I have never seen anyone say they watch the View because of Meghan.  If Joy leaves I'm gone again.

It’s funny I had lunch with a friend on Saturday and she was telling me about an anti-bullying workshop they had at her company last week. She said one of the things they were reminded not to do was tell a co-worker at the same level how to do their job, what to do or chastise them for an error. 

What does Meghan do today? all of the above. I thought after the Elisabeth leak Meghan may have gotten spooked. After all when I was the show live in February she stormed into the wings during the commercial and I have no doubt many people got an earful back there. So, I was wondering if we might see her on her best behavior for a while lest someone decide to sell her mic feed to the tabloids. 

HA! I should have known she wouldn’t change her spots. It was really awful having to watch her strip Joy down like that. Last week I was speechless when she said I miss Whoopi. This is just too much. She’s targeting Joy and bullying her. Of course, I watch the View for entertainment and I’m not above revelling in some snark but this is now unpleasant and hard to watch. I’m going to write a letter to ABC. I’m sure it will be trashed but I hate seeing a woman of Joy’s age and experience being spoken to like this on national TV.

I don’t know what’s going on both my little grandsons have had pneumonia in last two weeks. It used to be rare.

I can't stand how Meghan speaks! So much is being made of that old clip of Barbara scolding EH back in 2006 for an emotional outburst but this is why Barbara is missed on this show. There is no authority figure that puts Meghan in line. How can you speak to someone that way?

Barbara wouldn't have had it! lol. Meghan is rude and disrespectful and she has said a few times that she doesn't even want the job...she's doing it because her father wanted her on the show. UGH.

That's the part that had me confused.  I thought she was aiming it at Joy. 

It reminds me of what happens in any typical workplace today.  The management is so afraid of getting in shit for reprimanding an employee over something.  So instead of singling out that one person, they round up all of the employees and give them all a talking to so as not to single anyone out.  I HATE THAT.  That's basically what Whoopi did.

 Yep Joy’s first look was “you b1tch” and she looked towards someone, the producer maybe or the audience who gasped, but when they cut back to her and she said she had forgotten what she wanted to say she looked pretty hurt, even her voice didn’t have its usual energy. 

Whoopi said “we’re not gonna do this today”. By this I thought she was referring to Meghan’s outbursts and someone had told her what happened last week. Joy said “yeah” so she took it to be a reference to Meghan too. It’s a shame Whoopi didn’t explicitly tell Meghan “Enough”. Looking back now at Barbara saying to Elisabeth “calm down dear” you have to wonder how she would have handled Meghan.

I started watching the show in the Elisabeth era during the 2008 election and for my money Meghan is far worse than Elisabeth. At the time I had to turn down the volume quite a bit when Elisabeth would start screeching out talking points that producer Bill was feeding into her ear piece but she had some positives that Meghan doesn’t have. She was okay with guests, she was able to laugh along to someone like Joan Rivers a few minutes after a passionate discussion on Palin. She didn’t sit and pout for entire segments. She wasn’t hostile towards the audience. She would often crack a smile and laugh when she and Joy went back and forth about Palin. I don’t want her back on the show but I can see why Joy says there was no hostility backstage.
