I was so disturbed by the conversation between Jay and his daddy that I actually want to petition the US Government to issue the following travel advisory for Jamaica:

Exercise increased caution in Jamaica due to fuckbois. Some areas have increased risk such as resort hotels, local bars, nightclubs, and casinos. Keep your hearts and legs closed to anyone going by the nickname Skins, Skinz or Gyalis (or any variation thereof).

Don't get me wrong Larissa is still leagues above what Colt would or should be able to pull anywhere in the world but I can't say I find her facially beautiful. Great figure, decent hair (if a bit too dark) but an okay face. I got admit the Larissa/Colt/Mother scenes are so ridiculously awkward and surreal that they almost come off as a SNL sketch to me. I find myself thinking that Larissa is John Leguizamo and half anticipating he is about to snatch off his wig at any moment.

john_leguizamo.jpg

I think Larissa/Colt/Mother were all different kinds of terrible. I do cut Larissa a bit of slack since she did just get off a 20 hr flight from Brazil to LV to be greeted by an empty handed fiance and driven in an Instapot pressure cooker of a car thru the barren wasteland that its non-strip LV. However, my instincts are telling me that Larissa is gonna be a real pill.

I do hope Larissa/Colt/Mother scenes were filmed around Christmas, otherwise, the snowmen in the corner seem even more creepy and out of place.

I'm dying to know if Eric drives right past all the wonderous sights and attractions in NYC str8 to the PA Cabin in the Woods, and yes I mean the acclaimed horror movie.

Imam heading down to Punta Cana right after Thanksgiving and will give you a full report on the love rat/sanky panky situation there. I am a prime target as I am a chunky middle aged American who doesn't wear a wedding ring. My BF is a big fan of the show too and thinks that this will be a riot.

Mama Debbie is really good at playing the poor victim role. She immediately takes offense at everything Larissa says. Get your own life, Mama Debbie. Don't depend on Coltee for your social life and don't expect Larissa to be your cheerleader and to fall into that role. Why should she? Mama Debbie opens up a can of Dinty Moore Beef stew, adds salt and pepper, pours it into a melamine bowl, and acts like she has created a gourmet meal from scratch. So sad. The house looks terrible with the slot machine, the 4 foot tall stuffed snowmen in the bare living room, the clutter on the kitchen counters, the horrible bedding on the beds. Did you get a load of that brownish gray blanket on the bed in the "master suite"? The whole place is depressing. I think Mama Debbie thought she would live out the rest of her days with her and Coltee eating Beef Stew a la Debbie alone in that house and sharing scintillating conversation. She isn't happy about anyone coming in and breaking up the couple.

I don’t think Colt wanted any change either, except for the addition of sex. He’s not going to give control or access to his finances to Larissa. Debbie will be Colts proxy on ahopping trips and expenditures of money. Unless and until Larissa is contributing financially to the household, she’s not getting any control over how money is spent.

Giggled over this for far too many minutes, because it reminded me of a line from the movie "Private Benjamin" (starring Goldie Hawn), which always makes me laugh:

Sgt. Ross: "Beware...there are mine fields out there. Most of them are inert. However, some of them are ert."

LOL!

Believe it or not, that's actually where I got the idea for "vertent." Private Benjamin is one of my favorite movies!

Larissa:  Let's get more of the Dinty Moore Beef Stew.

Debbie:  No.  Colt said to get the store brand.  It's 6 cents cheaper.

I make delicious beef stew from scratch but I would never want it (or any kind of hot heavy stew) in 100-degree heat.

If the house is air conditioned (and I would assume it is), then I wouldn't care.  I love soup all the time.  Bums me out that a lot of places around here stop serving it in the summer.

Isn’t Vegas famous for the huge buffets that only cost a couple bucks? I recall going to Reno and they had buffets with all kinds of food, including prime rib and.i think you could get  big steaks in some restaurants, they are towns of excess.

Beef  stew in a slow cooker, unmmm yummy, like you say if your house is air conditioned and you aren’t going out sit in the hot sun or exercise,  pass me a big ole  bowl!!

To be fair, we don't know if Debbie just opened up a can, or if she actually made Beef Stew.  Homemade can be quite good.

Thank you for saying this.  Debbie appears to be at home all day, and there's no reason to believe she didn't make the stew from scratch.  It might be delicious, despite its appearance in Coltie's Corel ramekin.  Regular pot-au-feu, maybe.  Debbie looks haggard and sort of unhealthy, and I think her appearance is prejudicing some of us against her.  Of course (imo) Larissa Gummies is no beauty queen.

Wait...how is this your grandmother if she had only one child, your uncle? Wouldn't she have to be the mother of your mother or father to be your grandmother?

Apologies if this has already been addressed but my guess is that the grandfather is OP's "blood" grandfather and grandmother may have been a second wife who the OP still regarded as her grandmother ... I know in my family's case, my mother died quite young and my dad remarried a significantly younger woman, and my stepmom is really the only grandma my daughter has ever known (and gets the extra credit benefit of her grandma still being alive and well when most of the other relatives from that generation are long gone).

  • Love 4

There was something about Coltie holding the ramekin up to his face and eating that rubbed me the wrong way. I might eat a bowl of ice cream or something that way as a snack if I am away from the table, maybe on the sofa. If I eat at the table I will eat my meal with fork (and/or knife) and plate on the table.  Just me? Am I being too stuffy?

Larissa should be given some slack. After all,  the poor woman has to do the sex with Coltie. She probably has to close her eyes and think of the Green Card.

Poor Debbie looks as if she has had a very hard life. I would like to know her back story.

I’m watching the rerun now to catch little bits I missed, after reading everyone’s thoughts here.

No way is Leida’s family rich. It took them forever to get off the plane, Dad was complaining about having to sit in a seat for so long. If they were in first class, they’d have had seats that recline into a bed, and they’d have been the first ones out the door. I also think they hope their hapless daughter now has someone else to look after her. I am betting they put on a good show when Eric came over to visit and met them. There’s just no way these people are rich.

THIS!  I make homemade beef stew and I had some this morning for breakfast.  But it wasn’t 100° here today;  it snowed today in Colorado and it was the perfect cold weather food to eat.

I can understand Coltee not giving Larissa access to the credit card until after the wedding.  Or he could call his bank and give her say, $500 on his card. He could easily have told mother that the budget for a new sofa is X, and that Larissa can choose one up to that value. There really isn't much room in the Coltee/Mother dynamic to include a wife.  Debbie needs to cut the cord and let Coltee grow a spine and grow up and make his own life choices. And deal with the consequences of them.

If I was Leida, I'd walk away from that hovel - Eric would be asked to explain the mess. I would certainly feel that he lied to me and misrepresented himself.

Fernanda, you are not going to last if you keep dealing with any presumed conflict with Jon. So he is dancing with a girl at a club. People do it all the time. He wasn't getting her number or anything. He also had too much to drink. If you fly off the handle at the simplest of things, maybe you are not ready for marriage. Keep the gift that he gave you and move on. Or better yet, work on a payment program for your 'girls'.

Ashley, your BFF walked away from you. What you do with your life is your business but she said her peace. Maybe you should question your new fiancé. He is just a young boy, really, who is not ready to settle down. I doubt he sees you anything more than a Green Card.

The Russian girl? Steven, keep your nose to the ground. You can so easily break a law there. Some idiots in my province went to Thailand and got drunk and did some graffiti on some historical wall. They face jail time for 'drunken fun'. You may mean well, but you will have a hard time. Perhaps you will grow up. Who knows.

Kalani's sister - butt out of your sister's business. You are not the baby's daddy or nanny or anything. Move along. If you want a baby that bad, work in a daycare or find a way to have your own. I wouldn't want to go to Utah and live with an extended family. Kalani, find another job that you can afford an apartment and you and Asuelu figure out how you will make this work.

Jon & Fernanda - She looked like royalty, with her blingy earrings, silver sandals, and black dress. She's a good dancer, is smart, and has that "it" factor that Pao would kill for. She shouldn't ruin it by assaulting women in bars giving her drunken fiance standing up lap dances. It's him she needs to pull off of the dance floor by the ear. I'd be angry too, he was literally letting her grind her butt against his bulge with only nominal opposition.

That would have pissed me off, too. I wouldn't have gotten physical about it, though. Jon should have gotten his ass off the dance floor and hung out by the bar until Fernanda returned from the bathroom. What an idiot that guy is. Fernanda is gorgeous.

Run, Leida. Go back to your comfy life with your controlling family. She will never, ever be happy with that schmuck.

Steven and the Russian- I feel sorry for them. They seem so alone. Where are her parents?

So, Kolini still acting like Asuelu is the unfit parent even though her sister is unemployed, homeless and always looks unwashed???

I feel for baby Oliver.  If Kalani gets hot tempered with Asuelu at the drop of a hat.....imagine that child.

She is unfit to be a mother at this time.  Lazy girl driving to Utah to live off the parents.

God help Asuelu since Kalani has put them in a position where the parents have all the power.

WTF?  ‘My brother is there is be our full time chaperone!

Asuelu should put his foot down and be like....No!

Kalani, hun, you ain’t shit!

Hahahaha!  Leida is in America to become a doctor.  Good for her!

Look at the family sacrificing Leida, too.  So, one day they can all come to America. ?

Eric can help her but she is so wealthy she needs to help out financially.  That man is poor!

His kids need the financial support.

What is the deal with her own kid?  Did she go to school in Australia and came back with a kid?  She hasn’t mentioned his father at all.

All she keeps saying. Providing for me and my son! ALL KIDS need providing for! Not just yours.

I really like Coltie's cousin and his flower child wife. Their home looked warm and happy. And, at the end of the day, he's right. Larissa is out of his league and wants a green card.

My heart went out to Olga all alone in that bleak low-ceilinged delivery room! Glad the dude got permission to be in there with her. I'm rooting for these crazy kids. At least rooting for her and the baby to get to America to be raised among extended family and grandparents. He's holding up pretty well for a 19-year-old with no sense whatsoever. And again, she's a soldier. (They actually WALKED her down to get her C-section!!!!!) I think fatherhood might actually center him somewhat.

She was raised in an orphanage.  Just makes her story even sadder....though her tiny apartment is still levels better than Sgt. Bean Teeth's, seeing as how she's a pregnant 20 year old student, not a guy retired from 20 years in the US military.

Speaking of Eric, his teeth bug the ever living shit out of me.  The military's health plan covers dental work.  Hell, my father had dental work while on active duty during the Vietnam war in theater.  Surely Eric could have hit up a base facility at some point in those 20 years for a basic cleaning.  But clearly cleanliness isn't really his jam.  Leida is spoiled, but I probably would have cried at the prospect of living in those digs too. A twin bed? WTF? And I didn't even know inflatable couches were a thing.  Don't they have a Good Will around there?  Cheap couch + Fabreze + cheap slip cover from Target...if it worked on Trading Spaces, it could work here.

Mama Debbie's hair looked way better on the Live after show.  Not great, but much improved.  (Weirdly, so did Angela....looks like she was introduced to the concept of brush + mirror.)

When I see Eric's teeth, it makes me wonder about his drinking. Like, he works, comes home, drinks, and plays video games and has little room for any thing else.

Yes, his dental care is paid for but that means thinking about something else, scheduling some appointments and possibly even skipping work when the boss is already irritated because he's missed so much work from being hungover. He figures, forget it!

Just a theory.

I get the impression that they do not want to live in the United States. The money they've amassed won't go nearly as far.  No big house that looks like a church inside, no round the clock servants, and they know that.

I think they are really just checking out the full extent of their daughter's disastrous decision.  If they can't stop it, they can monitor it.

He catfished Leida big time and then told her, "You're making a mountain out of a molehill."

I get that this is wild, unsubstantiated speculation on my part, but when she was upset, there was something about the way he was staring off into space that made me think that he was thinking about drinking. Granted, a lot of men think about drinking when women fuss, but he was really thinking hard about it! Instead of trying to really help her through the situation like a prospective husband would, he just glazed over and snapped at her defensively a few times. Seems like textbook alkie, or just textbook jerk.

I mean he CAUSED the problem by deceiving her, and he was just hunkering down waiting for the problem to go away. He says he made him feel like sh%t, but I think it was just the screeching noise her voice made that made her feel that way.

And I get that she is spoiled, very much a product of overbearing parents in that type of culture. But he knew that! She didn't know this stuff about him! And at the end when she mentioned going back, he looked over and scowled/sneered at her. THAT got a reaction where her tears, not so much.

What happened to putting your arm around a woman when she's crying? He could have slid his folding chair over a little.

I get that she's spoiled and annoying at times, but you could see the full pressure the family puts on her in those tears. Dad's probably a very strong guy who wonders why the kids aren't turning out better.

I think we (the audience) are catfished every season. We have become cynical  viewers. We no longer feel  sympathy for any of them.  They all have their reasons for international online  dating and then looking the other way pretending everything is a fairy tale.   Both sides lie so much. Lol!

I don’t know anything about alcoholic and alcoholic behavior to the extent you are describing.  I believe you!  This dude claims 40!  He easily looks 50-55. His liver and kidneys are failing.

Leida is not spoiled. If she was spoiled she wouldn’t be there with Eric. She is a moocher! A spoiled person is showered with things that they are not expecting. A spoiled person is not above spoiling themselves, either.

Leida is not in a desperate position in the way someone is like Hazel.  Eric is musty, crusty and disgusting.

Leida is immature.  She is not matured enough to be a mother or a doctor.  Still trying to figure out how this doctor thing translates in America for her.  She is selfish and lazy.  She tells Eric not to support his children. She won’t carry her own suitcase. WTF?  Then she tells us she is going to be mean to the Ex-wife.

Eric is nice to ex-wife.  FFS, he is not trying to fck her.  He is raising children with her!

What kind of attitude is that for a doctor??? I am not even sure I have seen Leida soothe her own son.

Love it when this Queen-wanna-be finally sees the castle she will be ruling! Hahahahahahahah!

My dad always told me one thing.  Keep EVERYTHING clean. Dirty house means Dirty ass! ?

Am I the only one cringing every time Eric touches that little boy???  Leave that little boy alone!

I am not a fan of ‘boyfriends’ touching so much on little kids they just met. If Eric cared about Alessandro he would have bought him a juice box to go with the cheesesteak sandwich split 4 ways.

Next week I am eagerly waiting to see what happens for dinner time!  Eric and Leida are supposed to return to the parents Air BnB.   Eric has to feed Old + New family.

I wonder if he is picking up fried chicken and jumbo potato salad from the supermarket! 1 piece of chicken per person.  HAH!

It was naive that Leida's father hopes Eric will work hard and become prosperous.  He is supposedly 40 and that ship has sailed.  Unless he has a million dollar idea, he should already have been on that path.  Too late for him I think.

Leida, actress/model/aviator/dog whisperer/surgeon/grocery checker/etsy seller/choreographer/food critic. Needs to run. RUN, BITCH, RUN.

I cant stand her and her. Faux mothering, but Eric is a dirty, tiny toothed, man.

I saw that one picture he catfished her with. I even got fooled for 0.25 seconds.  The one where he was standing in the office.

As an Labor and Delivery nurse, I was so proud how strong Olga was. ( my husband was like, " I dont think they offer epidurals there.) Steven is silly but i really like him. He steps up so far, more than any other fools on this show.

I cringe at Ashley's Live/laugh/love house. But at least it is clean.

If anyone else is wondering, I did a quick search on rentals in Baraboo. A person can get an 1,100 sqft, 2 bed, 2 bath apartment for $825 that is fairly new. Eric’s current hovel can’t be any more than $400/mo...so $200 after his minimum-wage daughter pays her half! What a clown. Where was he living when all his kids were under 18 and received his child support...a cardboard box? Since Leida is soooooo rich, can she not pay half the rent on a better place? She wants, wants, wants, but does not want to give. Zero sympathy for her and her bad eyebrows. Yep, I went there. Ms. Indoensia, my ass.

I was Team Kalani until she said she quit her job. Why?! Does Asuelu need a 24/7 babysitter? If she wasn’t comfortable leaving baby Oliver with him while she was at work, she could take him to daycare or continue to do whatever she did with him before (Mom babysitting?) I feel bad for Asuelu. Family Kalani is not giving him a fair chance because of all the crap Kalani talked about him after her virginity loss. It takes two to tango and Kalani did that horizontal airport dance willingly on Samoa.
