You are nicer than I am.  No way would I allow my daughter’s boyfriend, baby or not, to be at my house every.single.day, much less feed him dinner and have him stay until 10.  He could visit before or after dinner for a few hours, more on the weekends, and they could hang out at his house if they had to have dinner together every day.  These kids are still in school and I think letting them play house is wrong.

@ButterQueen. come sit with me and have coffee.  I have nothing to add to that except I know we would be friends in real life.  I would like to think that, if I had a daughter, her taste in young men would be above this batch of tools.  But geez........you never know!  I was lucky enough to be brought up by a dad who would say to me, periodically, "Look, this how you are to be treated.  Like I treat you!"

We would definitely be friends!!  ❤️

These parents are such enablers.

When do we get a new set of teenagers/parents?  Lexus and McCayla are already overdone.

I thought the same thing when I saw those eyelashes! Jessica may be controlling, but Chloe presumably has many perks being dependent on her mother.

So Chloe has gone on YouTube to express her anger over everyone misreading her mother. My take away from this is 1) She is very full of herself (obviously not effected by any negative comments about appearances) 2) She is not with Max anymore 3) She should let her mother defend herself and just worry about getting an education and taking care of her baby 4) She will be just like her mother in 15 years just amplified by stupidity by 10.

The stupidity is already amplified. Chloe's little rant video was pretty sad - she's trying to stick up for her mom and dump on Max and his father without losing her lucrative TV contract. We all know how much these "reality" shows are edited - if the cast members weren't aware, that's their own stupidity. Unless they are editing by literally cutting and pasting things together to make people appear to be saying something other than what actually transpired, or have actually scripted some of the drama, they did actually say and do the things we see. Perhaps they were more in passing, or with less weight and impact than the producers give them, but they did happen. I do not care for Max nor his father, but I also do not care for the way Jessica treats Max.

In watching all the recent awkward birth control discussions, it is pretty obvious how all these couples ended up where they are. Even Emiley's nurse was calling the implant an IUD (which stands for IntraUterine Device.) If they were going to stick implanon in her uterus, wouldn't do her much good, either! I haven't seen any of them that has an idea of how babies are conceived or born, except perhaps Anna. Hopefully her common sense will prevail, and she will not become pregnant to make up for her loss of self within that odd family.

She could probably get a lot of mileage out of it for her YouTube channel. Target/Walmart/thrift store haul videos. I was never so shocked to learn that there’s an entire genre of “what I do all day as a teen mom” YouTube videos. If McKayla intends to keep her following after she leaves the show *roll eyes* she’d start doing the kinds of videos her fans want to see.

Not gonna lie, I thought you were kidding.  I went to youtube and typed in "Teen Mom Typical Day" and lo and behold:  SO MANY DIFFERENT ONES!  Not just talking into the camera but shooting a video complete with music!!  WTF?   BTW, most of them seem to start at 8am when Teen Mom wakes up.  Really?  By 8am I have been up for three hours.......When I was 17 I liked babysitting a baby for about two hours, then I was outta there.

I need Bridget to go to therapy. I really do. She needs to learn to let Emiley go. Emiley has a shitty mom and a shitty boyfriend. I really feel for her. She's glomping onto Krista and Fabian because they seem more stable than her mom, but I'm reminded of their stellar parenting when I see Diego.

It's a hot mess.

  • Love 17

Shayden is a really unstable kid. I get being upset that your girlfriend cheated on you and is meeting up with her ex....but he's essentially issuing threats to Lexus. "It will not end well." "I'll never leave you." Boy, bye.

And I don't know what's worse - Lexus's Sharpie eyeliner or Shayden just wandering around shirtless at his daughter's party.

I'm over McKayla. It's official. She is a whiny, self centered brat.  Can't even go see her own grandfather in the hospital.

She acts SO overwhelmed by one child! I bet she'd be overwhelmed changing the toilet paper roll. She's a spoiled brat, who wanted to play grown-up in her own apartment....until she realized she had to actually do stuff.

She openly admits all the wedding planning was about sticking it to her grandparents; and now she's using just about every excuse in the book to back out of it. I feel badly for Caelen, because she's playing mind games with him.

Speaking of - Bridget is a real mind fuck, isn't she? Did she ever consider that if she just approached her daughter maturely, instead of throwing these rage fits, Emiley might want her around more?

As it is, all does is bitch and cry, act like a selfish brat, and ruin all her daughter's special moments. I wouldn't invite her anywhere.

Wow, Chloe had a sucky labor. Looks like the epidural didn't even really work.

I bet Jessica was just livid when Max showed back up and she couldn't call him out one more time.

  • Love 16

It takes six weeks for the uterus to shrink.  Most women need to wear maternity clothes for a while after childbirth.

I have always suspected Jessica knew about Max’s criminal record.  Therefore,  she had no use for him and treated him poorly.   I think Chloe has the best support system on the show, her caring family will give her and the baby some stability and a middle class life.  I hope she gets an education and turns her life around.  At least we know the baby will have loving grandparents.

Grandpa Tim looks shockingly bad.  If he had seven liters drained, his cirrhosis is very advanced.  Yes, he had a drinking problem but he is a good man who cares about his family.  Full time housewife is a hot mess but we don’t know the extent of emotional turmoil she experienced early in life.  Poor Timmy, poor future baby.  grandma and Grandpa will not be around forever.

Bridget is the worst Mom on the show.  Her scenes are jaw dropping. The cruelty toward her daughter astonishes me every time.  My heart breaks watching Emily cry.

I have no interest in Lexus and her preferences,  I just don’t care.  Two seasons of her are enough.

There was all this outrage at Shannon several pages back because she mentioned his drinking.  And not just because she outed him as an alcoholic, but that it simply wasn't true, that he can have a beer or few at the end of the day, and she's a liar and a piece of shit.  I remember because I opined that Tim surely looked very old for his age, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was plenty of alcohol in his life (while also acknowledging that having someone like Shannon for a daughter could also age a person).

Sounds like Shannon may have been speaking some truth after all.

Shannon is such trash. McKayla is a spoiled brat, but I really felt for her when she realized that her mother only wanted her to move in for the money.

Diego is garbage. His parents are garbage. His mother saying he needs to learn to get along with people is disingenuous. They should have taught him that when he was a toddler. It's a little too late now.

Here it is. It's from September 2, and here it is the third week of October. They make no sense with their talking heads and edits.

Makayla's whining about being home alone with a ten-month old 'crazy' child is beyond being ridiculous and spoiled behaviour. She nags Caelen about not being able to 'handle it' being home alone, and it appears she almost wants him to stop working so he can keep her company and take care of Timmy more. Yet, she still wants Caelen to pay the bills. She's referring to marriage as a potential mistake which will make her miserable for the rest of her life. This all was decided upon after moving into her own apartment. Grow up you stupid, vapid, vacuous block of wood.

I am not a fan of Shannon - I am really 50/50 towards her, but:  if her dad is an active drinker he needs help.  Damaging your liver is serious shit and he needs medical help NOW.  We can all connect the dots that is Shannon had the life she had, Grandpa Tim and Quiet Wife  are they way THEY are with others plus McBabyMaker and her crap.....well there was a lot of stuff going on, interpersonally.

If he is a problem drinker (I define that as problems with the law, problems with employment, severe health issues or undue conflict with family) he should not be drinking at all.

Per the poster who talked about playpen usage:  When I was scoping the "Teen Mom Youtube" channels, that seemed to be a biggie!!  Plop the baby in there, play with your phone.  Change diaper, give bottle, lather rinse repeat.

Emily's dress looked like a Canasta dress and she got a part time job serving at El Loro* Mexican eatery.  Except the servers at El Loro* look good.

Count me in too - I think Emillee is realizing she has a mom who berates her, a BF who is as annoying as F**K,  a hopeless future and a boyfriend who called her pudgy after she gained 18 pounds while being pregnant with HIS baby.  She is surrounded by losers, a mom who wants to take out HER garbage in Emillee (sp?) and just.....no.  But Emillee is a spoiled person and feels a lot of entitlements - prom and cheer tryouts for starters.

She may have been. But she still did it in a way to call him out for something awful he'd done. And, as far as we know, Tim never abandoned his family. Tim appears to have worked hard and supported not just HIS children, but his children's children. I realize there are functioning alcoholics and that's not cool either. But unless someone offers up stories of drunken rages where he's beating people or weeks of not eating because he drank the whole paycheck, I don't see why Shannon needed to bring it up. It's not the same situation. And, when the topic was raised, Tim seemed to have no problem owning up to it and expressing his regret.

I thought that was ridiculous. I never used one. I did have one of those bigger playyard things. I thought it would let the child feel less confined. I used it when I needed to shower or cook or something. I'd never put my child in a playpen/playyard when I was sitting right there! Of course Timmy wanted out.

I think what we're seeing with Emiley is a response to YEARS of Bridget's behavior. She probably doesn't get invited because she behaves horribly. I'm sure there IS an element of Emiley favoring Diego's family because it's newer and easier right now. But Bridget is an adult. I get her being hurt, but I don't cosign her extremely immature reactions.

Also, Bridget is super passive aggressive. She doesn't say anything IN the moment, but then freaks out on Emiley after. Why couldn't she just say, "Okay, let me get a few pictures"? No. She'd rather sulk and play the victim. I think she's awful.

I thought something like this with the TH where the two of them were discussing the cheer tryout.  As hard as it is, Emiley needs to ditch her mom and surround herself with people that are more supportive.  I've never seen a less supportive individual than Bridget - it really IS all about her and HER feelings, to hell with her daughter.  Why wouldn't Emiley involve people that were warm, smiling, friendly, interested and loving over a spiteful sad-sack who can only think of herself and play emotional torture with every discussion?

Bridget deserves everything she gets.  Or doesn't get.  Emiley should turn away and not look back and her 'in-laws' will be there every minute of every day to show her love.

They do those couch segments after the filming is done, once the producers establish a storyline.  They probably watch clips from what will be shown and then comment on them. I'm pretty sure all the girls are just made to look pregnant during those scenes.

I'm torn on Emiley and Bridget.  Last night I felt bad for Bridget but there's obviously years of issues coming into play on their relationship and I don't know if anyone knows how it really is. Emily probably see's Diego's parents more as friends so she probably vents about her mom to them, which isn't really fair.  Then they in turn form their own opinions on Bridget without really knowing her.  But telling your mom to NOT come to the cheer tryouts but telling your boyfriends parents TO come, that was really awful.  I don't even really understand why Diego's parents were there at all.  Same thing happened with the doctor's appt.  Emily's mom wasn't working that day but for whatever reason Diego's parents went with them instead of Emily. Neither parent needed to go to a doctor's appt really.

I'm glad I never had a 'friend' relationship with my mom growing up. She was my mom and a parent, not a friend.  Now she is a friend.  Seems to complicate things more when parents try to be their kid's best friend when they're that young.

Oh my goodness, she is really, really awful.  She is so emotionally manipulative it is no wonder that Emiley would be drawn to her boyfriend's family.  Her histrionic boo hooing  are hurtful and guilt producing now but sooner or later Emiley will grow tired of being responsible for her mother's happiness and emotional stability.  The guilt and pain she feels now will turn into anger and resentment as she grows older.  She will likely choose to separate herself from the drama eventually.  Bridget may feel that she can control her daughter in this way for now but all she is really doing is pushing her daughter away.

That's Bridget's story.  I didn't see it that way at all. Emiley specifically mentioned Bridget would "just be sitting in the parking lot."  That's what Diego's parents did.  All Bridget had to say was, "That's fine.  The weather's good, my sister and the baby will be happy to wait for you."  But then Bridget wouldn't be able to bitch, whine, and cry.

Emiley explained that NO ONE could come inside during tryouts.  TLC put up a little disclaimer that NO CAMERAS were allowed inside.  Emily and a friend (also trying out) got a ride--most likely after a Bridget Hissy Fit. Bridget has selective hearing...she only hears things she can throw back to hurt her daughter.  I'm amazed that Emiley seems so sweet and well-balanced.  I bet Bridget turned into a shrew the moment Emiley could talk.

Also, weren't Bridget and her sister invited to "go out to eat" with everyone after tryouts?  Bridget, the QUEEN of Passive-Aggressive, declined...in a snit.

How many times is Bridget going to bitch to Emiley about EVERYTHING she's doing or planning?  She ends her little manipulative tirades (every time) with, "I'm out."  Then she gets up and walks away...only to show up and cry some more.

Bridget!!!   Please, for MY sake.  Follow through.  When you say you're OUT, leave--begone!  How many times have you said you're OUT during Emiley's life?  You've said it too many times for me on my television--and I'm an adult. You're a downer no one needs, especially a pregnant teenager.

You are NOT alone!!!  I am with you!  I love everything you said!

Emilee is shutting her mom out.  It is kind of like a teenage couple - one person starts to drift away and the other person gets SUPER clingy because they feel them drifting, and that clinginess makes the other person really want to run.  They are not communicating well with each other, but Emilee needs to realize that her mom is trying to help her, and her mom needs to realize that Emilee may not want that help.

Also Bridget should get to be a part of all of the fun stuff, she raised her, she just wants to be a part of her life.  She is not going about it the right way, but she may not know another way - she is not the sharpest tool.

Diego's disgusting, awful, fat, immature parents are making things worse!  Krista is awful, she is playing a game, and thinks it is funny Bridget is upset.  Grow up asshole!  Diego's dad should not be laughing about anyone's resting face, bitch or not!  He is fucking gross!

Does anyone know the backstory about Bridget? How old was she when she had Emiley and where is Emiley’s father?

As for Emiley, she may be too emotionally immature or passive to set boundaries with her mother in a gentle but firm manner. I don’t think it would be wise to cut her mother out entirely at this point, imo. When she and Diego have issues or break up (and I’m betting they will)— guess whose side Krista will be on?

So Grandpa was in the hospital being diagnosed with Cirrhosis and princess MyKayla couldn't be bothered to visit him?

So, um....(looking down modestly) I actually predicted this! I suck at predicting so I'm sorta chuffed. But I did predict that poor old Grandpa Tim would have a heart attack or a stroke. But either way I just knew that McKayla wouldn't be arsed to visit him.

Michaela is turning out to be a pretty crappy mother.  She has no patience and she wants everybody else to take care of things for her. And she insults her child.

Jesus Christ, I believe I actually let out a small scream when she called her infant son "rowdy" and "crazy". McKayla. You have an active boy. Deal! If you'd let him out of the play pen and play with him sometimes he might not be so "crazy". Wait till he's walking. Poor little McKayla might not be able to perfect her brows then, trying to keep her son from bolting out the front door.

And seriously? She was changing his diaper like someone who's never done it before. We all get to be pros at diaper changing after a couple of days, it ain't hard. She didn't have a cloth diaper or burp cloth to lay across him in case he peed? She seemed utterly flummoxed by having to clean him. And then she couldn't figure out how to hold him with one hand while she shook out the diaper with the other? She was yelling for her grandma's help the whole time? That child is what, 9 months old? What has she been doing? Why is she changing a shitty diaper on the floor with nothing underneath him? So many questions. Is she just dumb?

I need Bridget to go to therapy. I really do. She needs to learn to let Emiley go. Emiley has a shitty mom and a shitty boyfriend. I really feel for her. She's glomping onto Krista and Fabian because they seem more stable than her mom, but I'm reminded of their stellar parenting when I see Diego.

It's a hot mess.

That Bridget could sit next to her weeping daughter and not feel terrible and try and patch things up tells me everything I need to know about her. Poor Emily. She's not Daughter of the Year but I can see why she's attracted to Diego's parents, who are warm and don't judge her so harshly. I wanted to hug her.

Shaeden scares the bejesus out of me. He often talks about what Lexus has "done to him". Its all her fault. He is creepy-with-a-capital-C. Seriously, I'm scared for Lexus.

And watching him stalk around, sweaty and shirtless and tweaking like mad at a one year old's birthday party was unsettling.

The light is starting to dawn on the cement headed McKayla. This is the life you chose, dumbass. You're sitting around in an crap apartment, taking care of a baby even though you seem desperately unsuited for such a responsibility. Your last big grab for attention, a big white wedding, is vanishing in a puff of smoke. She'll be Shannon in a few years. Run, Caeden. Run.

Mckayla is just exhausting. She bitches and moans until she gets what she wants, then the thrill is gone and she doesn't want it anymore. What a horrible shame innocent babies are dependent on her selfish ass to parent them. I felt bad for Grandpa Tim. The husband of a dear friend of mine wound up in the exact situation. He drank beer every evening when he got home from work and on the weekend. I was very close to his wife and spent a lot of time with them. I never saw him what you would call drunk, and like Grandpa Tim, he was always busy working on one project or another around the house and yard. He was hospitalized for a severe case of the flu and found out his liver was in really bad shape. He hasn't had a drink since then and 15 years later is very healthy. He has routine testing to keep an eye on things but the liver is an amazing organ. If you stop throwing alcohol at it before it's too late, it will recover.

YIKES!  A teenage girl wanting to go to prom (after making a BIG mistake that affects the rest of her life)?   Hoping/Working to be a cheerleader in college--a "job" that comes with a $1,000 scholarship?  I don't think those are "entitlements."  She's a teenager with dreams.  Also she seems like a girl who has always worked hard and achieved a lot--in spite of a mother who (at least on TV) wants to hold her back and hold her down.  Life will not be easy as she tries to juggle everything.  She needs encouragement.  Why berate her?

Because I don't like her, lol?   I will back it down - I did not realize cheer came with scholarship $$ and I guess she can go to prom....but in a different dress?

Yes.  McBabyMaker is couldn’t pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel.  I had two in diapers at the same time for quite a bit and it is not splitting the atom, folks.

My husband took a nap while I had both kids.  I did not care.  What was he supposed to do, watch me?  When it was time to push, he was up-and-at 'em.  All good!

I am pretty sure both families (Emilee's and Diego's) are struggling financially.  Neither family has a nice home, they film those THs at a studio.

I hope they break up and Krista feels left out like they are doing to Bridget.

I am with you guys. While Bridget is handling this whole thing in the worst possible way, Emilee is completely wrong. This woman has probably made a LOT of sacrifices to bring her up and while their house isn't so nice, she probably has never really wanted for anything and was raised with the expectation that she would attend college. Bridget may have tried to institute some rules or whatever, especially after the silly girl got knocked up at 16, and there's also the tension between her and the douchebag boyfriend, so the girl said, well, I'll go to his house where I can lay up in the bed with him and his mom will bring us condoms. To cut Bridget out of the milestones like shopping for a prom dress is just fucking mean as hell and Krista is a fucking bitch. She knows what she and Emilee are doing is wrong and if she doesn't she really deserves a son like Diego and I hope he lets her down terribly. Actually, she does deserve him because she created that monster. Emilee is way to selfish and immature to be somebody's mother. And when Diego dumps her ass and she as a result can't hide from her mother at his house, I hope Bridget gives her a bit of a cold shoulder, too. And yes, that stupid prom dress was ugly as hell. Looked more suitable for a cinco de mayo event.

Lexis, pack your shit and your baby and get into a witness protection program because you in danger, girl.

McKayla is an idiot. I don't think she really thinks Timmy is crazy but she's inarticulate and too stupid and lazy to try to figure out how to care for an extremely active child. She should be glad he's like that and has no apparent issues. Maybe she should get a job or use some of her Unexpected money and put him in a daycare where people know how to care for children.

WHY was Chloe's little sister in the delivery room? I cannot think of one single reason for that unless the parents want it to be in object lesson about what not to do when you're 16.

It broke my heart when Emiley was sobbing and said, "But this day was supposed to be about ME." And her mother couldn't even acknowledge that.

I'm going to need to officially know their living situation before I form a further opinion. Is it possible that Diego's parents drive her a lot because she lives with them? Or closer to them?

I didn't see the cheerleading thing that way. I didn't think Emily told her mom NOT to come. She simply told her she couldn't come in and watch, so she'd have to hang out in the parking lot. Conversely, she didn't tell Diego's parents TO come, but they drove her. So they were going to be there in the parking lot as well. Really, anyone was welcome to come hang out in the parking lot and that's what they did. Then when Emiley said something about them all going to eat to celebrate, Bridget was all - "I'm not hungry" or "I already ate". Something like that. She's brat, who's impossible to please. I don't blame Emiley one bit for hanging out with people who treat her a bit better.

I also really hated it how Jessica was giving shade to Max's attempts to 'pump up' Chloe during birth. I mean if the dude was to yell out the count - then let him! At least they finally let him be present.

That boy just can't ever win. He falls asleep - he's a POS. He leaves the room - he's a POS. He cheers her on during pushing - he's a POS.

Shannon obviously thinks that Tim's drinking had a bad effect on the family, and as you pointed out, Tim agrees.  I wouldn't be surprised if there's a perception among the people they know that Tim is a great guy because he raised two of Shannon-the-Fuckup's kids, and Shannon is thinking, "If you only knew..." In fact, it played out that way here, where people accused Shannon of lying about his drinking.

And if she thinks his drinking had a bad effect on her, I can see why she would call him out on it, especially if she's used to everybody thinking he's a saint.  And mileage varies, but I don't think the minimum standard for harming one's family is beating people in drunken rages or not having food in the house for weeks.

We obviously don't know what went on when Shannon was growing up, except we do know there was enough drinking that Shannon thinks it had an impact, Tim regrets it, and it was enough to cause him to have cirrhosis before he's 60.  And Shannon is a major fuckup.  And McKayla is a spoiled brat with no concept of reality.  He's leaving quite a wake.  Suffice to say I'm not that impressed with him.

We’re gonna see [Shayden] profiled on the ID channel.  He is scary.

No shit.  I've never been around these controlling types, but of course I've read about how they are.  But seeing it with my own eyes...

"She makes it seem like everything is my fault.  No man should ever have to take that."  "We probably ain't gonna last, and it ain't gonna be me leaving . It's gonna be her, and she's gonna make it seem like it was something I did just because I get mad."  All with a face that reminds me too much of Richard Speck.

But Lexus, with her, "I've changed so much. I've been, like, four or five different people in, like, a year."  News flash:  That's why you don't have a baby when you're still a kid.

Both of them have ample reasons for leaving the other, even in their own minds (never mind the opinion of probably every other person in their lives)--but they just won't do it.  It kind of scares me to think what it's going to take, and I know it's going to happen.

I'd never put my child in a playpen/playyard when I was sitting right there!

One of my favorite photos from my childhood is of our living room with a blow-up baby pool on the floor, with three kids with bottles in there, and my parents and one set of visiting grandparents sitting on couches talking.
