Yesterday Metta said it would take double, at least 400k to have celebrities come in the house for 3 months (they were discussing a regular BB season vs their short one), He said the prize would have to be at least 1 million , if not 2 million for 3 months. Others commented on how much they make for a concert, play, movie, speech and that time was maybe a more important factor then money. Mark has a concert on feb 27? and Marissa had something very shortly after too, so these 3 weeks were almost too long for them and they both really wanted to play the game.  From listening to the talks (I'm an updater at Jokers) it seems like they got 200k. It was also very telling that Omarosa not only knew the money she got but that she had more SAG rights and had some of the more put into pension and also was able to get more insurance. James wanted to know more about putting the BB money into the SAG pension vs getting it now. I think it was interesting to hear them talk about SAG hours, and healthcare and pension, seemed like a middle class family topics but in their own world. Like you better work so many hours or do more interviews or your family loses healthcare.

Shannon, Ross, Marissa all seem to know.  Brandi too, she said it when coloring her hair today. Not sure about Metta but if Keisha and Omarosa are packed they should know too. Ross said last night the veto would be live to his "group". I don't think it was any secret they were keeping. He just wanted to tell them so they could make dinner and chill since hey were waiting for veto.

I've had to deal with some personal issues that I finally got good news on, so I am waaaaay behind, but I can happily dive into what's left of this season. From what I've seen, I also really like Shannon and love what's she doing with her animal rescue. I'm sad that she's going tonight, unless she wins veto.

Apart from her, as I catch up, I like Ross. Omarosa is a walking ego parody. Why does everyone hate James? I'd never heard of him. Has he done obnoxious stuff before the show, or is it just that he seems like a pretty boy hipster? I know nothing of Brandi, but her intro was entertaining. I hope Mark can stick around for a bit.

I love this older cast. REGULAR BB, LEARN FROM THIS! Ha.

No, but I agree. Someone needs to get ahead before it gets out. Mark is probably the most likely to do it. Ross/Marissa are too chicken, Brandi won't implicate herself since she loathes Shannon, and Ari is still trying to fly under the radar. Metta just plain wants James/Shannon on the block so I don't think he'd spill either. Omarosa, to my knowledge, still doesn't know the backdoor plan, unless Keshia spilled to her at some point.

I really have nothing to say except I am finding this short celebrity season to be rather, um, charming. I don't even hate Omarosa! I am thrilled about the lack of showmances. Honestly I think the regular summer show would be 1000% better if they outlawed showmances. These folks seem far more normal than I ever would have guessed. And they seem to be playing pretty well in general. I have not been paying close attention to the feeds because of time.

But what I really wanted to say is my porn name is Kitty Allen. This does not so much scream porn. It's more of a 50's starlet name. I hate when the feeds are down for so long like this.   With this short of a season -- the shortest one we have ever seen in all the years BB has been on in America -- we should have non-stop coverage on the feeds, more along the lines of what was offered up for Big Brother Over the Top in fall 2016.    Unfortunately, BBOTT spoiled me with its extensive coverage, and I hope there will be another BBOTT at some point in the future.      

During that online-only season of BBOTT, we saw soooooo much more than we see in a regular season.    We saw everyone enter the house, one by one, and meet each other (which took all night).    We saw alliances (and showmances) form almost immediately.   We saw all the competitions in real time.   We saw them make mistakes or do something wrong and have to start over in the comps.   We saw the house guests tediously reading the instructions before competing.  We saw them each quietly sitting in the various rooms, by themselves, as they waited to be called to come out to the yard and compete.   We saw them talking in the house as Production was setting up the comps outside.  

Essentially, in BBOTT we saw all the things that would normally be edited out of the CBS episodes, and much of what would normally be blocked out on the feeds or on After Dark by fish and puppies (because of Production).  Yes, some of it was long and boring, but it was worth it, I think, to be able to truly see just about everything and get a real sense of what was happening in the house.   And also in the case of BBOTT, a whole group of houseguests would be up in the middle of the night, every night, talking and laughing, so at least there was something to watch if you happened to be a viewer who was awake at 2 a.m.   It wasn't a situation of everyone in the house being asleep at midnight or earlier.  They stayed up for hours in the backyard (does anyone here remember Danielle and her endless stories?  Yikes!).   Plus, we got to see them celebrate both Halloween and Thanksgiving, which was fun.

So now, with this Celebrity edition of BB, not only is it a super short season in general, but we are missing so many of the good moments that won't even be shown on CBS, as they will be edited out for brevity -- that would be acceptable in a normal 3-month season, but not in a season that is less than 3 weeks long.   Not only are we missing out on seeing the competitions, but we're not seeing relevant conversations and other exchanges going on in the house. 

I remember the good old days of being able to see the long-lasting comps on the feeds and even on Big Brother After Dark (in the Showtime days).

I agree with this post so much. BBOTT was do much fun to watch. I do remember it created a terrible divide on another board. Feelings were so strong from one side to the other. But the transparency was awesome.

Feeds are back (almost 11 p.m., Big Brother time).   It looks as though Ariadna won HoH.  She has the key around her neck.   From what Mark said, it sounds as though the competition involved golf or something golf-ish (or maybe not?  He might have just mentioned his bad golf-playing in real life as a comparison to whatever they had to do in the HoH comp?  It was hard to tell...).  He mentioned that he did a bad job at whatever kind of comp was.

So this will mean that Brandi is definitely safe and won't be nominated.  I think Ross will be safe.  

The air in this house must be terrible.  Both Ari and Metta have been coughing a lot.  Ari went to the DR to find a medic.

I managed to miss all the discussion of the air quality. I only know it's bad. Can anyone kinda brief me on why? I know they closed off much of the back yard (for comps I assume), but don't they have any fresh air coming in? Frankly sleeping in a room without windows would possibly be a deal breaker for me.

I read somewhere they brought in an air purifier. Why is it so bad? Are they doing construction next door?

I'm wheezing just thinking about the house.

The comp was some sort of wind tunnel golf. Ari and Metta were the final 2 and they got the worst of the air tunnel ( from what they said sand and dust from the golf "course" in the tunnel).

Metta almost was HoH? imagine that. He is sure going nuts tonight, saying he has some power or twist and wants to make it personal? I think he is made Keisha cried and got to go home and he has tried to escape and is still there?

Right now he is talking about wanting James out? I think he wants Shannon out too. I think he is basing who he wants out on who is good at physical comps. He just asked maybe in a light way if Marissa, Brandi and Ari would be his final 4. Who knows about Metta though. Good night feeds though. Better then Mark and James discussing air quality.

Apparently, the house has branded Shannon as some evil witch, which I guess this is Big Brother, where a target is ganged up on and made to seem much worse than they probably are. They've already started the isolation tactics, which Shannon is lucky for the fact that it's a shortened season, but it still sucks.

Well, Shannon was already rejected from entering the HOH room two nights ago by Ross, Marissa, Ari, and Brandi; I've also taken note of the trash talking of Shannon already. So, in that way, they're already on track.

Again, I think they're focusing too much on Shannon to the point that when she does go, who's going to be the next big target that needs to go because they're playing too hard? Ross? Brandi? Omarosa? I get they have to get rid of Shannon or James at some point, but these people are legit laser focused on them. Either way, I do think it is the right time now to go after Shannon. Just my personal preference was that it would be Omarosa or Brandi.

I didn't see it happen, but I read that it happened and the gang saw her coming up, so they turned out the lights and  used the excuse that they were asleep. 

I think I'm just irritated because now, they're making it seem like Shannon's the real evil person and they're now giving a pass to Omarosa, in a way. I've always hated this part of the game, especially since Shannon didn't really do anything bad. Sure, her gameplay is very, very messy, but she hasn't been a bad person. Brandi's spreading lies about Shannon, from what I've read on Reddit, and now Shannon is surely gone on Friday (or James, if Shannon wins veto). 

All I can hope is that the next target is Marissa or Ross. I'd like to think these people would target Brandi as she's playing the best game in the house right now, but I don't think they even see how dangerous she is as a player. She's planted seeds about Shannon, and now she's starting to do it with Ross.

And about Shannon, someone on twitter said that she was saved through none of her own doing yesterday so she truly is the new Vanessa and I rolled so hard. It's true! I wish Shannon would go Vanessa levels of crazy though. She needs to entertain me before she leaves!

I agree. This season is truly one of misunderstandings and assumptions and overexaggerations. Shannon, for example, overread the Keshia/Chuck conversations and used that to blow up the alliance, although that was more because she genuinely thought Keshia betrayed them. Now this new group is making it seem like Shannon is some evil mastermind genius who caused everything in the house to happen, including villainizing Omarosa, in order to get to the end (when in reality, it's more that Shannon is a perfectionist who overplayed her hand). I think some of them genuinely think that Shannon's a dangerous player and that's why she needs to go, which is fine. But others might be taking it a little too personally, despite them saying it's not personal. Marissa, for example, seems to be making it seem like Shannon wronged her in some way. Brandi's making up lies to keep the target on Shannon. Ross screwed himself because it's clear he'd rather Omarosa go this Friday than Shannon, but maybe he shouldn't have entertained the Backdoor Shannon plan at all.
