  1. Another season and another disappointment, but at least CBB comes in under a month. My only other post this season was a Stuart Smalley reference, so I had to comment that this season wasn't nearly as fun as another SNL skit, "Celebrity Who Farted?" which I recall involved a juicy Busey.
  2. I thought they WERE giant cigarettes butts. Its interesting to know they're supposed to be fire logs.
  3. "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like me." - Al Franken as Stuart Smalley on SNL, a daily affirmation.
  4. Looking forward to next season, I've been trying to create the only perfectly inclusive cast in BB history. I hereby propose 4 blacks, 4 whites, 4 asians, and 4 latins. And within each racial group 1 LGBTQ, 1 40 years or older, 1 each from the north south east and west, and 1 with a BA or higher (or at least one who's life's ambition is something other then social media influencer, or one who makes more money than the checker at Loblaws.) Any estimates on how many house guests thru the years are college educated? I would guess between 10 and 20%. To the best of my knowledge, every season has been 50/50 male/female so there's no need to change that, but having more females than males would make for an interesting dynamic. Better yet, an all female edition with the same breakdown as above.
  5. It's my first post of the season. After having watched since season 2, I stopped watching shortly into last season. The upstairs ghetto was too much to experience, but I followed along here with all my trusted friends. I didn't know exactly when this season would start, and I came back here late in the first week. All your comments made it sound like it would be an atypical season. and within a few more days, I was back watching. My sense is that there never was a season with more than three black people, so it was a curious production decision that there would be six this year. Did the producers think they would not form an alliance for fear of being labeled reverse racists? The only surprise was how effective CO was, keeping it hidden, having plus ones outside the alliance, and their level of commitment. The biggest blemish, though, was after they got down to the final six, the first to go was the smartest female, Tiffany, followed by the second smartest female, Hannah, leaving the weakest female, Azah. The racism was gone thanks to race packing, but the sexism persists thanks to men winning most of the comps, and bros before hoes. Now their final days have become provocative again, with consensus among this group that Derek F rightly deserves nothing. I think he would have been this season's Victoria w/ or w/o CO. Unfortunately it will be Azah who most likely will get nothing, Azah evicting Hannah with Azah's only HOH was her colossal blunder, especially after she came in looking for a girls alliance. Its unfortunate that the sexism endures even with certain female house guests.
  6. The first time I read it, I thought it was a new wine cooler. Naz-darovya.
  7. This season is best summed up in one word - sauerkraut. To bring this lousy season to an end, a dumb food challenge that was strictly luck with no skill. How many baby cakes were wasted in the filming of one challenge? Well over 100. I never imagined that TAR would have an even worse season than the lousy Big Brother season that was also dull as dishwater with very little suspense. Unlikable teams, an unlikable alliance, and poorly constructed challenges with a pointless "mega leg." I haven't seen every season, but I've seen most of them, and this was by far the least entertaining. At least Gary was likable and fun to watch.
  8. Like so many Big Brother contestants, Will and James are there to promote their brand on social media as tv stars. Which one of them said "I just love the Philippines?" Its so hard to tell them apart due to their identical unlikable personalities.
  9. Part of the show's attraction is learning about far away places and their people, but the last episode was pure 2020. Avoid Manila. Part of the show's attraction is learning about far away places and their people. But this episode was pure 2020. Avoid Manila.
  10. I've been a Big Brother and Master Chef primetimer but this is the first time I've visited TAR. I was thinking of how TAR turned out to be as shitty as the 2020 Big Brother season and was comforted to see what others are thinking. Gary in the art museum was my season highlight.
  11. Will and James may be my least favorite TAR teams too, for all your reasons. Last year I cheered for the gay friends that almost won. I forget their names but they played a game I could respect.
  12. And thanks to 30Helens for her consistently entertaining and informative updates.
  13. There were other times I noticed that Cody is able to correctly use three and four syllable words, and he did win the ice cream puzzle comp, so he has a fair amount of intelligence to go with his looks and enlarged bank account. Maybe his shitty entitlement issues are BB specific.
  14. Not only the hair, but her makeup was most severe. I will give her that before tonight I never considered tinsel as a fashion choice. I saw my great aunt Edna wearing Nicole's frock about 20 years ago. Christmas looked nice.
  15. I haven't bothered to watch since last week's eviction, but was curious who was evicted tonight and who is the new HOH. So apparently Membrane was evicted and not Happy Holiday? What's the point? The level of apathy this season is off the chart. Whatever became of Will the BB Neighbor and his mega-twist? He taped a couple of bits, never interacted with the house guests, and that was that?
