On one hand, the Jack/Kate letter being from 30 years ago would make sense because who writes an actual letter these days lol? But on the other hand, why would Kate keep a letter about her brief fling with Jack 30 years ago?  It's not like she was pining over him all this time.

If this is supposed to be a letter from the time jump year, in which Jack and Kate had a ONS, what does it even say??

Dear Kate,

Thanks for the sex.  Unfortunately, I regret to inform you that fucking you did not cure my sombre mood, as having a comatose wife is a real downer.  However, kudos on those moves, I can certainly see why you were Stefano's favourite whore!

Calling BS on this whole Jack story line. Him and Kate getting together during one of the Jack and Jenn break-ups - yes, but him cheating on his comatose wife, no. There is no amount of twisting and turning the writers can do that will make this make sense. The Jack we have known for over 30 years would never do that. His love for Jennifer is one of his most consistent traits and his determination to stay by her side during her coma made perfect sense.

The only possible way this could make any sense is if, after Adrienne's funeral, Jack got drunk and Kate drove him home. A moment of comfort goes too far and they end up having sex but it only happens once. They better not be implying that Jack and Kate carried on a long-term affair because he wouldn't have time to do that and still be there to turn over that hourglass every time the sands ran out.

Didn't Abigail (or someone) claim that Jack was at Jennifer's bedside 24/7 each and every day she lay comatose? So unless he and Kate got kinky in the coat closet (not the worst thing to be done at Salem U Hospital), I think the letter is a hoax cooked up by Gwen. And even if it is, no amount of proclaiming your innocence will help smooth things over in this case, so she wins regardless.

That's what I was hoping for but based on spoiler pics and the fact that this goes on a few days, I don't think it's made up by Gwen.  If both Kate and Jack denied it, I feel like Jennifer would believe them over an anonymous letter.

Abs is not unfamiliar with the closets at the hospital.  Or having sex in them. Or being a homewrecker.  Perhaps Jack takes after his dear horney daughter.

And I'm wondering what the "whole truth" is exactly, because he either slept with Kate (as Jennifer believes) or he didn't. If Cady doesn't work out, I may not be opposed to a Jack/Kate relationship.

That's a good question.  I'd argue that maybe she just happened to be on the set that day but I also don't think this photo was actually taken at one time but rather it was cobbled together. 

I'm not sure what to make of Ava being next to Jack, Jennifer and Gwen---but Gwen being next to Jack does seem to hint at the fact that she's related to him.

So let me get this straight; they brought Ava back from the dead to kill her off again in the rumored 'who done it' storyline to come?  I'm certainly not complaining about her stint being short lived (take or leave that pun) but nothing says skeleton cast (sorry pun again) like having to resurrect a character to re-kill them because you can't afford to lose another member of the cast. 

Also NuJenn's acting is very fake and soapy.

Better Nicole than Sami. AZ has no story without Eric around and frankly Nicole should not be in the middle of a story that should be between Allie and Sami.

I would've gone for Jack/Kate if Deborah Adair was in the role as I thought her and MA had chem. However I'd rather see Jack/Kate than this version of Jack/Jennifer.

I'm just glad JJ's visit is brief although its going to be spent mostly consoling Abigail from what I hear. I guess it could be worse he could be interacting with Lani.

Why is Rafe returning anyway ? He will never ever happen . He will never ever be a leading man . The Rafe experiment has failed and Corday needs to move on from him.

Nicole being a cheater would be in character at least with the old version of the character. I find this version a lot more loyal though... that being said her bedhopping is way easier to take because Nicole doesn't come across as a cartoon like Kate does.

I think the sleazy affair can only work if Nicole's actions were still tied to her past with her awful daddy ,Paul Mendez . Who abused her and ruthlessly exploited her by getting her to do porn while he raked in all the money. And then after Nicole was used up by the industry ,he just abandoned her ,Taylor and Fay . 

Perhaps Nicole would begin to feel that Eric has abandoned her and that perhaps afterall ,she is not worthy of being cared for , loved and happy . 

Plus her cheating history shows that she constantly tries to push people away .

  But at the same time she can’t face being all alone  . Hence why she is prone to cheating. 

 

She is slightly loyal now because part of her fears ending up all alome.

Loyal? Nah . Remember  When she cheated on Brady back in 2017 ?

She was in bed with Eric and when Brady called she lied about visiting Brandon . And after feeling guilty and unleashing guilty -tears , she proceeded to carry on feasting on Eric . 

Hell ,after round 400 , Eric told her this was the best night of his life and Nicole said its the same thing for her . Clearly this woman has pair bond issues because the week prior she told Brady that she loves him and went on to seal the deal in the bedroom . The following week ,she provides Eric with the best night of his life and has no problem cuddling with Eric and making up for lost time by breaking eric's back repeatedly  .

Who knows ,perhaps Eric's stint as a jail bird upped his appeal and attractiveness.

I didn't miss Gabi either but she's not related to most of Salem and could spare us Jake/Kate so for that alone I'm ok with her returning. I'm sure that will change quickly.

They waffle on the marital status of Shelle at one point Lucas said they were married and now they say the opposite. I do think they aren't married I know they reunited but never bothered to get married again(that I saw at least) their first marriage John was presumed dead.
